Arguably the best meal I've had in Dublin. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The food was so flavourful and my steak in my steak sandwich was cooked perfectly to my liking. I also had a cocktail called Harvey which surprised me with its flavour. I highly recommend the lunch menu. Will definitely be back for the full menu
A great place to enjoy quality meat. The venue is really cool, and the service is excellent. They offer off-menu cuts of meat, so it's important to ask, as there are often delicious surprises :)
We went for a birthday, lovely atmosphere, really good food. I think the steak was cooked perfectly but also quite impressed that the sides also hold their own against the steak (which is the star of the show). Our server was excellent and the bartenders were very knowledgeable!
Absolutely amazing meal. Been saying I was going to try it out for the longest time and am now raging it took me so long to try it out. Food was top drawer and service was equally as good. Staff went out of their way to look after us and adjust cocktails to our liking. Andrew who served us took time after he’d clocked off to have a chat and ensure we enjoyed our experience. With the way restaurants are gone at the moment I’m delighted to find this gem. Can’t wait to go back.
Wr had a date night in Bonvinity, firstly there was a real aesthetic atmosphere 👌 Staff were absolutely lovely, so friendly, checked on us and knew that menu inside out. The food was unreal, I had Prawns to start, my partner had spicebag- really nice and tasty. For mains we both had 8oz fillet and it was divine. I had the truffle and parmasan fries and my partner had beef dripping chips. Well presented and was unreal. Lastly we had chocolate meraton for desert, it was like a snickers icecream absolutely gorgeous. I would 💯 recommend 👌 thank you for a lovely night 🤍
Service here is fantastic and all staff we felt with were incredibly helpful. The food is absolutely delicious, my partner and I each got a ribeye (med well, well done) they were probably some of the best steaks we’ve ever had. For our sides we got the beef dripping chips and Crispy onions and they were fantastic just wish there was more of them. When it came to sauces on offer we got garlic butter and the bone gravy both were so flavourful and I literally couldn’t get enough of the garlic butter. Lastly for dessert we each got a chocolate marathon do yourself a favour and order this it’s absolutely sublime. I highly recommend booking a table in advance as even tho we were there early it filled up incredibly fast and I completely understand why. Well both definitely be back again
We booked this restaurant for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing and the food was so delicious. The double smash burger and chefs cut steak with added Argentinean prwans was amazing. Overall it was such great value and delicious food! I would recommend the sour strawberry cocktail, we will definitely be returning.
Great meat restaurant. Perfect place for a dinner.
5/5 really great place. We stopped in for a nice Irish Steak on our last night in Dublin. Bovinity did not disappoint! The barrata salad is a wonderful starter with balsamic and refreshing flavor. The steak is crispy on the outside and medium on the inside, perfectly seared. The chimichurri is adds so much delicious flavor to the savory steak. The peppercorn sauce is creamy and mouth filling, I used this as a gravy to the potatoes but it is great on the steak as well. The crispy potato side with cheese is decent, however believe the asparagus would be a better side option than this one. Our server was great as well and provided helpful recommendations.
Great place! 100% we are coming back. You pay what you eat. Food is incredible and well presented. We ordered a tartar as a starter and then a steak to share (incredible!) and a strawberry n'cream for dessert. Service is very polite and friendly and the vibe is great for a date or a small group of friends. Definitely we are coming back!
The food was absolutely immense! The best steak ever had. Wouldn’t usually go for steak out, but the cuts on offer were brilliant. Started with beef tacos (for me hot due to cayenne pepper dusting, but delicious!) then we we t for the strip loin and the ribeye with a side of truffle chips. Striploin was absolutely superb. Pricey cuts, but worth it!!!
Well what can I say, I’ve been to many restaurants and steak houses and this is by far the top one. Everything from the cocktails to the food to the staff was exceptional. Honestly didn’t have a bad word to say which I usually have one or two comments on things. The Staff are amazing, really friendly and helpful. Food was seriously tasty and full of flavour. Great options on the menu to suit everyone. Honestly if you’re looking for a seriously good steak this is the place. Steak was honestly cooked to perfection, sides were top tier. If you’re thinking of going just go and thank me later, you won’t regret it. Thanks so much Bovinity for an amazing experience and I’ll definitely be back for sure. Keep up the great work guys 🔥
Wow!!! First of all Isa was such a thoughtful, helpful and just friendly waitress! The food was one of the best meals ive ever had. The steak was perfect and the sides, sauces and wine could not have been better! We had cocktails for desert which were lethal🤩 you wont find restaurant cocktails this good everywhere
Amazing Sunday roast!!! Beef was melt in your mouth, gravy was heavily and a HUGE Yorkshire pudding and creamy mash!! Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Definitely worth a visiting and I would eat here again if in Dublin.
Beautiful little steakhouse on the High Street. We booked in advance before we arrived in Dublin as this was for a 40th meal which staff kindly brought out a little cupcake with a candle on it. Steak was delicious, although we ordered a different steak we were given chateaubriand by accident, although more expensive it was delicious.
The food was amazing and the service was great. Steaks were really good too. We loved the appetizers more than the mains
Bovinity on Capel Street is a wonderful surprise as one of Dublin’s newer restaurants. The steaks are outstanding — perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. What really makes the experience special is the way the menu blends Latin American and American barbecue traditions. You can enjoy a top-quality steak alongside a rich and creamy mac & cheese, all elevated with a beautifully made chimichurri, just like you’d find in Uruguay or Argentina. The service was excellent — attentive, warm, and professional — and the staff really added to the overall experience. To top it all off, their Italian wine selection pairs perfectly with the dishes, making the meal feel complete and indulgent. Bovinity is definitely a place I’d recommend for steak lovers looking for something a little different in Dublin, with a creative mix of flavors and a great atmosphere.
Excellent food for a steakhouse! Starters were delish, steak, sides and pepper sauce were 10/10 and the salted caramel tiramisu was sooooo good. Service was good and restaurant was nice. A little bit dark and a little bit loud but overall a really nice meal and we’d definitely be back!
A total win. Saved our Sunday night with the hero shift the staff put in, particularly the foh who greeted us at the door and handled any questions and recommendations for the wine. The food followed suit and i highly recommend the beef spring rolls, any of their perfectly cooked steaks and soft shell crab, as well as the bone gravy to lather on said steak or any of the sides, and a special mention to the chocolate coconut dessert- probably my favourite dessert in dublin. A big thank you for a great experience, will definitely be coming back again.
I went with my partner for dinner and it was amazing! From the amazing to food to the amazing service there’s nothing to complain about. The staff went above and beyond with their friendliness. My partner said “this isn’t the best steak I’ve ever had, this is the best food I’ve ever had”. Needless to say we were blown away.
We really enjoyed all our experience there. First of all the service was amazing!! Everything that we had was perfect, we loved the food, and the place is really cute and modern as well. One of the best places that we had in Dublin for sure!!!
This place was very nicely decorated the staff was very attentive, and the food was amazing, I would come back every week if I could.
I had an amazing time at Bovinity last night! The meat was cooked perfectly, just the way I asked. The sides and sauces were delicious, and the Chilean red rice was a highlight. Great service and a fun atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!
Very tasty and nice. The Zombie cocktail was wonderful too. The fries (chips) had a bit too much flavor. It was overpowering. The meat was done perfectly and just as we asked, medium. The prawns were also much better than expected and the sauce was excellent. All the sides were amazing. Definitely coming back. Thank you chef!
Food was amazing! Staff were so nice, the atmosphere in the restaurant was great! Wheelchair accessible
Overall very good experience! They had a great selection of steaks - individual and for sharing. Recommend spice bag chicken for starter, nice twist to a simple dish. Good service overall, but found it difficult to get staffs attention and they forgot to place one of the side orders, but were very apologetic and didn’t charge for one of the items as a courtesy. Appreciated their effort to make things right. Overall would definitely recommend!
Absolutely incredible food, atmosphere and service. If you want an incredible experience come to Bovinity. We started with the spice bag, two chicken thighs perfectly light fried covered in a sweet hoisin/teriyaki sauce and served with chilis, fire roasted jalapenos, carrots and potato cakes, the perfect start to any meal. For our main course we got the dry aged t-bone to share which came with two sauces and two sides, for our sides we chose the Parmesan truffle fries and fried string onions. You can add prawns to any dish so, why not we added that. All I can say is incredible, the quality, seasoning, presentation and care for their food shows. Hidden gem in Dublin you don't want to miss!!
Not my first time here and the quality and taste of food is amazing as ever! Definitely recommend for steak enthusiasts and cocktail lovers. Cozy yet upscale vibes plus friendly staff. Thumbs up!
Bovinity was such a pleasant experience full of culinary delights and world class service. We were welcomed warmly, and the staff make sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The decor is really nice and adds a nice atmosphere. I appreciate that the noise level is manageable and you can have conversations. Most importantly, the food was just very scrumptious, made with high quality ingredients and reasonable prized.
Best steak I’ve ever had! It was buzzy and a really good atmosphere topped off with mouth watering food. We had the short rib croquettes, fillet steaks and Parmesan truffle chips to share. Can’t recommend it more and the wait staff were so lovely!
Delicious Sunday roast, and they're kind enough to offer it on Saturday! The service from Seth was exceptional, including his recommendations, relaxing space with a nice atmosphere to match. The bone marrow gravy was ridiculously addictive
The melt and arancini were amazing. We kept talking about it long after our visit. We would fly back to Ireland just for these dishes. Irish coffee is also bombbbbb. Music even better
Bovinity didn’t disappoint! The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, they explained the menu and sharing cuts! We ordered the Dexter sirloin and it was perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and packed with flavor with a prawn pil pil sauce. We also tried two sides, the truffle chips were just spectacular, creamy mash also nice. Cocktails were great specially the Habanero. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion. Will definitely be back!
Excellent and friendly service. Everything was so quick. Pork belly and oyster shooters to start were so good. The smash burger is a must try. Nicest burger I’ve had in years. We got the chefs cut rump. Very nicely cooked and tender. Beef dripping fries were so crispy. Have to try the marathon for dessert, it’s amazing. Really nice vibe to the place too!
Booked a table for my husband’s birthday and I’m so glad we chose Bovinity. We have had other steaks in Dublin but this place tops them all. The food was incredible and the staff were warm, knowledgeable and couldn’t have done enough for us. Highly, highly recommend.
The fiance and I shared a monster Chateaubriand after a starter each and drank most of the cocktails on the menu. Everything was savage, staff were great as well. Place was nice and quiet with a lovely level of ambiance. The only real cons to the place are to do with the layout. There's an unfortunate number of deceptive trip hazards and a narrow, awkward staircase that's extremely easy to bang your head on. The walk to the jacks is genuinely perilous especially after you've had a few, but I suppose there isn't a lot they can do about that. The space is the space. We dropped close to €300 and didn't feel at all robbed. Great spot for steak.
We had a delightful meal here last night, great environment, lively and amazing food topped off by the spicebag starter. Absolutely sensational. Special shout out to the charming and chatty Jesse who served us. We will be back.
By far, this the best Sunday roast I've had in the city! I don't remember the last time I was this impressed by a restaurant - everything from music and decor to extremely accommodating staff deserves five stars :) Food was delicious, flavourful, and fresh. Not only the meat, but all of the sides were prepared with great attention to detail. Our desert was incredibly tasty as well - it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This was my first time visiting Bovinity but definitely not the last ❤️
A very welcoming and attentive service. The beef quality is excellent, better than Bœuf & Coq. Excellent Chai cocktail, decent wine list selection.
A Steakhouse With Potential… but at a Price Bovinity is expensive—and not the casual “treat yourself” kind of expensive. More the “did I accidentally wander into a Michelin audition?” kind of expensive. That’s fine when everything lines up, but a few things just didn’t quite hit the mark. First impressions: the floor felt a little greasy and slippery, which isn’t exactly the vibe you want when you’re gearing up to enjoy a premium steak. Even the toilets had a slightly confusing layout, like they were designed by someone who enjoys escape rooms. We waited around an hour from arriving to actually getting our food. To be fair, that might partly be on us—we didn’t order starters, nibbles, bread, olives, anything—but still, an hour is an hour. Now, the good stuff: the steak itself was genuinely delicious. The beef bone gravy? Outstanding. The garlic butter and mash were spot on too—proper comfort food elevated. The chips, though… I had visions of chunky, golden beef-dripping chips arriving at the table. Instead, they were more like standard fries. Decent enough, just not what you imagine when you’re paying top-end steakhouse prices. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the meal. The steak and gravy in particular were excellent. But when something is priced at the “special occasion” level, expectations naturally rise—and for me, Bovinity fell just a little short of those expectations.
Went for a team dinner for work. The food was nice. The service was excellent. We had the circular table at the front. It is cold when the restaurant doors open. The decorations at the table kept catching in my hair which was annoying, but it only affected me, no one else in my group. The steak was cooked perfectly. I would have loved some vegetables with the main course. The spice bag starter was beautifully presented and tasty, but a little too salty. Everyone loved the deserts. Good outing altogether and I would visit again.
Located on a bustling street, this steakhouse offers high-quality meat. I ordered the Côte de boeuf, which was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly rare. However, the cut was much fattier than I prefer, so I ended up leaving a good portion of it. In hindsight, I probably should have ordered a leaner cut like the fillet. The side of onion strings was also a little too greasy for me. The atmosphere is quite cozy, with small tables packed closely together, so it's probably not the best spot for a private conversation. The staff, however, were all very kind and attentive.
Food and service were both fantastic. They have a July/August cocktail menu which looked great. We ordered a sauce for our steak but it honestly didn't need it at all. I didn't really like the music or where we were sitting (as it was a tight space people kept passing by) but overall a lovely night out.
for me the best steak i had so far in dublin, crispy on the outside, tender inside. a bit small for my taste though, especially since it was so good. staff was friendly.
The location and atmosphere are lovely. The food was delicious! Nice selection of wines! I would have given this review 5 stars if it hadn’t been for a mistake by the waiter. We ordered a starter and asked if it contained pork, as my gf can't eat it, and the waiter said no. But there was! Fortunately, she is not allergic.
Very good service, friendly and attentive. We got 2 starters and two mains. Cured meat was nice but basic presentation same as a burger 🍔. Shrimp starter was very nice and presented very well. The main was tasty but overwhelmed with Teriyaki sauce and pulled meat was so salty. Coctails are very nice.
Dinner for 2 is incredibly expensive for bang average steak we're you have to pay extra for an expensive sauce. Our total was 120ish, 30-40euro just for a steak that's cooked to your liking, but sadly not seasoned well and disappointing tbh. Scallops were tasty but the portion was weird, one never had "scallops" this small before so I question if they really were "scallops" Beef spring rolls are amazing. Steaks disappointing And the service seem "too cool for school" for an expensive steak house. Might not come back.
We chose Bovinity because it was close to our accommodation. The surrounding area was not very pleasant, as there were some drunk people loitering on the street, but the restaurant itself was inviting. We arrived a bit early, about 25 minutes before our reservation, and were asked to leave and return later instead of waiting inside. The food was well-prepared, with a variety of tastes and flavors that encouraged us to devour everything. We shared a simple yet tasty starter, followed by a sirloin meat for two, accompanied by truffle potatoes, fried onions, and two peppercorn sauces. While a selection of different spices or salts would have been a great addition, we were disappointed with the service. The server was not very friendly and seemed inattentive to our needs.
one of the locations that disappointed me in Dublin. You make an appointment online, pay a small advance online because they say they are stars and can't afford to waste time. You get to the location and find a fixed menu of 60 euros per table. After negotiations and requests to a "great star waiter" we manage to get a free menu but our eyes are gouged out and 70 stupid things are said about it being written on the website and since it's Friday night we have to order a lot. We all order food anyway but the great waiter should have the last word. Then let's get back to the food, very well cooked but playing with cheap spices thrown in the pile was not really what was needed. In conclusion, dear review readers, think carefully before going to this location.
First time we went there and I had the chef's cut, which was striploin and was amazing. But the second time, the menu changed and had a rump steak that was not tasty at all and very chewy. We also waited a long time. When you enter there is this garbage smell that comes (I think) from down, near the bathrooms. Staff there is very nice.
