Excellent burritos from a local place
Very good food, definitely will be back next time I'm out here for work
Great food and service. If you don't want an ingredient like lettuce on your burrito, then be smart enough to ask for no lettuce!
Order to your liking. Free chips and free salsa. Salsa comes in 5 different varieties.
Wow, huge, delicious burritos served up with fresh salsa and a smile. Thank you, Hot Harry's
quality service and products. Very kid friendly and super clean. Wish we still had one in Glenmont.
My favorite taco restaurant, best hot sauce ever
Hot harrys has such a wide variety of mexican food, as well as more variety in toppings. This place is mich better than Moes, the sevrice is great too. My favorite meal at Hot Harrys is the two claddic tacos on the value menu.
Great food and great service. It's nice little fast food Mexican restaurant. It's always super clean and everyone is very nice. I've never had a complaint about the place.
Food is excellent. I like the different options of salsa’s. I would highly recommend
Lowkey really good burrito could never go wrong best service the owner is actually very sweet same with staff. Good variation of food.
I absolutely love hot Harry's it is my go to place when I want to have a burrito but in my opinion there Mexican food is the best far better then Moe's and Chipotle the food is so fresh and made and cooked right in front of you if you haven't tried them yet I dare you trust me you won't be disappointed also great portion size
The portions are huge, food fresh, and staff always courteous. This is a must stop hole in the wall Mexican restaurant! Can't say enough great things about the food.
The food was awesome, got a supreme griller and it was fantastic! The service was helpful and welcoming as well which says a lot for the 3 teenage boys behind the counter!
Good cheap Mexican food. Kids love it.
Good food fast. Kids love the 2 taco special. I love trying the BOM .. Burrito Of the Month.
Very tasty burrito! I got the chicken with hot damn sauce. Includes chips and delicious cowboy caviar salsa, highly recommend
This is a great Mexican fast food place. It's the number one place to go for a low carb/ketogenic diet. I always end up taking half my meal home .
A customizable burrito place that's a step above Chipotle or Moe's. Its rare treat that I can have a burrito, not add any extra sauces, and still have it be spicy.
Love Hot Harry's it's quite the drive so I only go when I'm in school wish they didn't close the Schenectady Location😢
This is a place for Fresh Mex Burritos. The helpings are huge, the ingredients are fresh. The staff are always courteous, the owners are terrific. The food is excellent. This place is the first place I go when I am too lazy to cook dinner. One of the only restaurants in East Greenbush that provides really good food. Moe's cannot hold a candle to Hot Harry's, just do a taste test on the chips between the two places. Enough said. I have been eating here since they opened and the food and service are always consistent. As for the person that commented on the food not being authentic Mexican; there is no advertisement anywhere of this being a Mexican Food establishment. Check the Website. That being said this place still serves up a very tasty burrito.
Excellent burrito. I had the inferno and it was as advertised. Flaming hot. Great taste, good size. Kept me going all day! I like the chains like moes and chipoltle, but visiting a locally owned shop is always better. Chips and salsa were also excellent. Great job!
while Hot Harry's may lack authenticity they more than make up for it with a laser focus on their burritos as tasty as possible.
God, I love their food. Used to be a regular here, but moved out of the area about a year ago. Been craving the burritos here a lot lately, especially the cheeseburger burrito which I used to get quite often. I'm happy to see they've made it through the COVID-19 crisis so far- I'll have to stop in next time I'm in the area for the delicious burritos I've been obsessing over. This place far outranks moes or chipotle in terms of food taste.
I just left Hot Harry's in East Greenbush, and I have to say ... what an amazing crew. they did a fantastic job, we're polite, answered questions without an attitude and actually cared about the work they were doing. I hate to sound like an "old- person" but it was very nice to go into an establishment where young kids were working and it be a pleasant experience. Nice job guys! 👏 Thank you!
This particular trip to Hot Harry's was fantastic. I gave it 5 stars because it was great, but truth be told it's not always. With this place I always feel the atmosphere and quality is better when the bosses aren't there... And no not because they load extras on they don't, they just seem better at interacting with the public.
The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The pickup and delivery options are extremely helpful. Easily the cleanest "fast food" establishment I've ever been in.
Food and service is great but man the space needs some definite help. The roof is leaking very badly, owners of building should be ashamed!
I’ve been coming here for many years and it’s pretty consistent . I noticed the owner has new help that are nice . The food is always fresh imo . The owner has owned it for at least 10 or more years . Bathroom is always clean , food is of nice portions . I really have nothing to complain about ..
This was our first time ever coming here. We shared a griller because it was so big! It was perfectly made, fresh and hot. Reminded me of a place in San Diego that I used to go to a lot. The only critique I could give is the queso dip we got with the chips needed a lot more cheese in it. It was okay but barely enough cheese to taste like queso. The salsa is fresh made too! I could drink the salsa fresco! We will definitely ret
My friends and I love this spot, the buffalo chicken quesadilla is especially the best item on the menu especially with the spicy ranch. The chicken and veggies are always fresh. Plus I love the salsa. Definitely give this secret a try! The staff are usually friendly, more so lately. Love love love Hot Harry's!
Always fresh food. Great service and awesome salsa bar!
great breakfast burrito. Eggs guacamole black beans salsa. Very friendly service by prisella. Clean restaurant. BUT NO COFFEE??????
Solid food and good service. Try the Korean BBQ Burrito. You'll be glad you did.
Nice little burrito shop, a lot like Chipotle or Moe's but with slightly less chain restaurant feel.
Always good food at a very fair price. The burritos are fresh, good size, and the tofu really is delicious (I'm not a vegetarian though).
The cheesy crunch wrap was delicious. The free chips were salty and fresh. A couple of flies by the drink machine were off putting.
Food was good, felt bad for the kid that answered the phone and was cussed out by some dude. He kept his cool though which was commendable. Only thing...one guy's t shirt had food stains....I had no issues with the cleanliness of the place or the food but t shirt looked sloppy
This place is solid. I'm from Michigan so I've never heard of it. Glad we stopped tho. Salsa bar is a great idea. Good portion sizes.
First time here and it was really good. If you are in the mood for some burrito or a texmex bowl I highly suggest checking this place out. All the food was fresh and tasted great.
I come here once a week. I think they make some of the best burritos in the area. The staff is polite and quick. I have never really ever seen the place busy which is kind of a shame. They have burrito of the month which can be anything really and they can be delicious or a weird combination (in a good way). Overall it is a great place to get a quick bite to eat.
ALWAYs consistent and good but can be slow, placed an order a half an hour in advance and it still wasn’t ready when I got there, otherwise this place is good, ordered a burrito and a soda, waiting a half an hour and still not having it ready seems a little crazy, but otherwise this place excels
Great build your own burrito place! Food was fresh and super tasty. Recommend this over Chipotle or Moe's any day!!!
My first time ordering anything from here The chicken was very dry in my burrito bowl.
Kinda disappointed harry wasn't there. Food was good, chips Wayy too salty. 6.7 out of 10
Although it was very quiet at 2:30 with only us here (which can be nice) the atmosphere was wonderful. I love that they make their own salsa. 4 different heats. I got the burrito bowl and my wife got the burrito. The people were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place if you love homemade and fresh Mexican food
Solid place if you need something quick. Lots of options, quality is good. I'd go back for sure! The staff seems to be made up of College age women for the most part. One of them gave me a funny look when I walked up to the register, probably because she was counting her drawer, but she could have been a little more approachable. The fountain soda is all the way in the back of the restaurant. Kind of annoying to get refills.
Not bad first time I've ever been here. Smells Amazing inside, friendly staff, nice little Mexican spot. I was encouraged to try the smothered Stk Burrito! It was huge plus chips and Salsa. Stk had Great flavor, fresh veggies. Overall happy for a fast food Mexican spot. Definitely check it out 😊
Always missing food in orders, staff is rude.
Middle of the road Mexican food. The burrito was alright. Not as flavorful as I was hoping. Could have been better, could have been worse.
Still a decent burrito, but not as good as the Pittsfield location with fewer sauces available and less clear attention to detail.
The food is usually good, but the prices are slightly over what they should be. Still worth coming by on occasion.
Overpriced Tocco Bell. What more can I say? If you want to pay the extra for a chain, go to Moe's. If not, go to Tocco Bell.
Service very slow was not greeted walking in and it was a good 10 minns with one person ahead of me getting 2 salads . One girl working counter 2 men on their cell phones talking. Poor customer service.
I will never buy from this place again. Every time I order they screw it up. I can't understand how hard it is to make nacho's, or a burritto. So thanks for trying, but never again. GO TO MOES!
First time getting food here. My wife got the chicken quesadillas with chips. Where is the salsa ? There was none in bag and you cant eat those chips without it. She liked her quesadillas though. I ordered the Buff chic burrito. It was a big over stuffed burrito that fell apart when I picked it up. I was disappointed in the Buffalo flavor and heat., some people may like a sweet Buff sauce .Again no salsa for chips. felt like we were bothering the guy. For me Chipotle is far better.
Food is pretty good, hot and fresh no issues ! Foods not the greatest in the cap region but its hot and has flavor! Place could use a refresh looks the same about 15 yrs ago here.
I like their food normally, Lately its been getting worse and worse everytime i go. Last few trip the chips are cold. The servings are getting smaller. The owner is always rude to his employees and customers. I usually stop once/week but i might not be going back now
The food at Hot Harry's is pretty consistent. I have no complaints. It's always delicious and well made. My problem is with packaging accuracy. On multiple occasions I have placed an order online and picked it up only to get home and find that something is not correct or missing. Today I had food delivered and when it got here two of the main dishes were not even in the bag. Unfortunately because of the way they package their food you would not know that until you actually open all of your bags. The only way I would recommend ordering from this location is if you do it in person and watch them make all of your food. Otherwise you're gambling with getting your entire order if you order online or get delivery.
$15 for a modestly sized burrito that fell apart halfway through eating it? I don't think I'll be back.
Up charge of nearly a dollar for asking to have bbq sauce instead of ranch on item... can see maybe bacon or cheese cost extra but be up charged for swapping a condiment.... is pretty on par with me asking for discount because I asked for stuff to be left out
Beware if you order tacos on door dash it will only come with meat even though door dash lists lettuce, cheese and salsa as included in every taco.
The food was tasteless steak was not steak.. the cheese was even nasty m.. I could taste lard in the food disgusting.. never again
Trust me..take a miss. Guacamole was awful. Salsa was awful. Servers were friendly is the only good I could find.
The flavor was not as robust as I would have liked it - the most flavorful was where they burnt some of the loaded griller filing that was allowed to leak out due to the sloppy assembly. The griller (basically a giant crunchwrap for those looking for a Taco Bell equivalent) was cheesy though which was great. My burrito could have used way more chicken (I guess you need to pay for double to get a normal amount?) and I paid extra for guacamole which ended up mostly squished out of the burrito during the (again) sloppy assembly - forgot my request for onions as well, or perhaps straight up ignored my request because that's the level of attention to detail my order received... I've been here before with better results so perhaps I just chose the wrong day to want a burrito. One thing that's been consistently bad though is their salsa - even there spiciest salsa was medium at best and lacked flavor. They need to up there seasoning game.
I have come here before and the food was decent. This time, there seems to be a new manager, and when they put guacamole and jalapenos on after specifically being told not to more than once, the manager said it wasn't his fault because he doesn't put those things on, someone else does. As a manager, if an order gets screwed up, you take ownership, not dump it on a subordinate. You fix it and you correct the worker. Very disappointing experience.
Definitely not as good as it used to be. Rice was dried out with some crunchy hard grains. They used to give you a bunch of fresh tortilla chips and let you get a variety of salsas to try, now it's like a small handful and locked down like fort Knox. Combined with the run down interior, broken trash cabinets and stained ceiling tiles it just feels like a sad shadow of what used to be a great burrito joint
We ordered our dinners to go. When we got home and opened it, 2 of the 3 items were wrong. I ordered an expensive specialty dish, and when I got home, they gave me 2 tiny soft tacos instead. We ordered nachos with 8 oz queso. We got home - no queso at all. My wife order was ok
I absolutely love the Hot Harry's Brand and fell in love with it in Massachusetts in their Pittsfield and Dalton locations. When I moved to East Greenbush I was excited to see a Hot Harry's by me. My absolute favorite thing about the brand is their Burrito of the Month. After trying on 3 separate times during 3 separate months the location was unable to make the Burrito of the Month because they don't have the correct ingredients or they ran out. The staff is always really apologetic about the situation and explain that they get the ingredients late and run out early, but even a planned visit halfway in the month on the 15th has shown to make no difference. They never have the right stuff. Also no ranch sauce?
The atmosphere gives out a fast food vibe and I was indeed served quickly. I ordered a steak inferno burrito. I got the takeout bag with chips on top (five guys style) and burrito at the bottom, cool idea but poor execution. The quality of ingredients are solid 3 stars but I rated two stars because of how poorly it was prepared. The meat was fairly good. The burrito was lukewarm and no cheese was melted. There was too much cheese as shown in the picture. Burrito was loosely wrapped, making it quite a puzzle to eat without making too much mess. I should mention that the employees were friendly but the food was meh.
The burrito of the month was perfect and an excellent blend of spices as a matter of fact had I gotten that by itself this review would of been a 4 out of 5 stars, Seeing as how I love food and decided to get chips and guacamole with it but that was when things turned sour. No pun intended but I ordered guacamole not sour cream please don’t reuse the same utensils your using to make them people can literally taste it and someone can be allergic. Secondly the chips was so bland and not even heated up maybe next time use the machine to heat up the chips before serving it… and about the blandness maybe offer a sauce with the chips. Other then that it was a great atmosphere and great song selections.
Terrible service. Place if often filthy. The owner is an embarrassment who has zero customer service. The staff however are very nice but if you eat there you run the risk of salemonela
Steak burrito was flavorless. Chips were also stale. Two burritos and a coke came to almost $30…. Crazy.
meh. usually better. over charged me for guacamole. to expensive. eat at moes. will never come here again. server was terrible. soda tastes funny .
Smallest burrito I've seen for 14$ not worth it
This was my first time at hot Harry’s and it will be my last time worst food I’ve ever had in my life disgusting paid $43 dollars for 2 bowls and chips and queso left 90% of my bowl it was disgusting I have the worst stomach pain from it
When Scott & Amy owned this shop I ate here twice a week! Since the new owner took over it has quickly gone downhill! The store is dirty! If you sit at a booth the floor underneath is sticky as they don't mop there. Windows are filthy which is a turn off. The bring out fresh ground beef & dump it on top of the old beef in a dirty container. I have gotten very sick twice from ground beef! The partition in front of meat & veges looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a year! They don't scrape food of grill & will put tortilla on top of grime. GROSS! The mild & hot salsa are fairly fresh but medium salsa tastes like rotten tomatoes & is mushy! The chips are stale most of the time. Eat here at your own risk! The only reason I am giving one star is they wont let you give no stars.
Was getting a massage next door and the teenagers closing the shop at Hot Harry’s had the music blaring in the closed restaurant. Ruined the massage for my fiancée and I; which was not the massage parlors fault (shout out J Foot Spa for amazing & consistent customer service). Definitely understand being young & listening to music at a reasonable level. But you’d have thought there was a concert going on in Hot Harry’s. Read the reviews of how rude the manager is to customers so not even going to bother saying anything to them. Btw this place used to be a gem with amazing food under different management years ago. Now, if you like stale rice & chips this is your burrito joint.
Old owners ran it so much better. Went in there today and they only had 2 people working during lunch hours which is outrageous. They were in such a rush that my burrito was slopped together and fell apart after 2 bites because of how poorly it was rolled. You should have at least 4 people on during lunch hours, not 2.
I literally got the worst case of food poisoning this weekend of my life.. The meat was sitting out all day things were not under proper cooking temperature. I had to go to my primary doctor twice. The new management who took over this company does not value The customers when there so many people getting sick.
Worst. Friday Aug 21 @5:45-6 pm. Went in to support local. Mistake! Counter guy was relatively clueless and lazy. Or, under instructions to save product. Didn't want to give the chips, included. Did't want to put in salsa? Carry out order was a bother? For the chips or burrito: OK A VEGGIE SUPREME...MADE OUT OF BLAND MUSHY SOGGY FROZEN CAULIFLuAR BROCHOLLI CARROT WEDGES...this is not Southwest Cooking. This is some Better Homes and Garden free hair salon magazine on what to take to a potluck forbunderca dollar. I give it thevlooked clean. Innafternoon I stopped to check it out for dinner...and came to pick up game night group dinner. Everyone ate their few..three...chip on their buriitto bag. The little container of very commercial salsa or pico de gallo...actually just scooped for three chips per sack. The buritto had high expectations from the menu...canned beans fine...couldn't find the sour cream or guacamole...making it a supreme at additional cost...had huge mauled chucks of onion..not chopped...onion fresh but nobody wants huge hunks. CHOP THEVONION LARGE MED OR SMALL BUT CHOPPED ONION...following the product cheapness surprised it wasn't minced. Then the rest was Sam's Club BJ's super gigantic frozen mixed soggy mushy veggies. No flavor. Just soggy gross unhealthy veggies. Apparent little here has an understanding of SW cooking. More fake american cooking trying to be authentic with without understanding vegetable cookery. So it isn't. Plus it is unpleasant having to go to menu pointing out with the staff..limited menu...and say this is included. This is included..then response yeah but do you really want the chips, etc. Vegetarian cook has flavor. Plant Based doesn't..but this is not real plant based food. Just wanted good solid flavorful vegetable burrittos. No meats. Yes, flavor. Like pepper, balanced onion. Rice to blalance the beans for texture and amino acid mix. Nobody was pleased. Noboby want to go here. Everyone took the menu copies and tossed them! Worst. With quality like El Loco South West....Los Meriacchi good quality Mexican style...if your going to copy other fast food chains...copy the parts that work...you copied very poor service and costly bland boring uninteresting food...and cheapness not wanted to serve the items included on the menu with the order. No! Go else where.
12/7/2022 Showed up at 7:55pm. Girl told my wife they were already closed. Was a bunch of college kids in with the workers chatting up after the boy locked the doors. Since when do you put food away before doors are locked? BAD MANAGEMENT! ps made a special trip to go there. 10 Mike's out of our way. Don't go there past 7:45pm cause they might close early!
The last 2 x's I went here the prices went up and the portion size of food was the size of a kids plate. I usually can save some of my burrito and the last 2 x's I went it wasn't like that. I asked the girls who were working there about high prices and portion size of the burrito, they started to whisper (laughing) than said "there's a new manager." Just RUDE!!! SMH
Run away, don't even think about coming here to eat. The management is terrible and very bad. That day I was going to order food. When I saw where the ingredients were stored to prepare the food, there were rust stains, it was black, it was not clean, the pork and beef looked strange. I didn't want to think about what I would encounter if I ate there, so I just walked out.
Didn’t even bother eating it. Ground beef and pork looked absolutely awful. Chicken looked old and dried out. This was 5pmish on a weeknight. $11 for 2 tacos… gets steeper from there. No thanks!
I usually don’t write a review unless I have good things to share but I will make an exception regarding this eatery. Exactly one week ago I walked into Hot Harry’s in East Greenbush, NY and ordered the Baja Bowl, as I had previously done on two other occasions. The teen who was taking orders seemed to not pay attention to what I was ordering so I repeated it several times and emphasized that I did not want ANY sauce added because all of their sauces are too spicy for my stomach. He repeated what I said and proceeded to prepare my order. Because my bowl’s main ingredient was fish I had to wait for that to cook, which I expected. The shop was not very busy and yet the girl at the cash register who completes each order seemed harried. When the fish was done she threw it into my bowl and without my noticing added hot relish, which comes with the meal unless you ask otherwise —which I had done with the male teen. I drove 30-plus minutes to work and when I took a bite realized the spicy topping had been added rather than make the return trip and waste gas I threw the meal away and had no lunch. When I called to complain the person I spoke to said the manager was not there and told me when to call back. When I spoke to him the next day he was rude, condescending and practically accused me of just wanting to get a free meal on him. I paid $12 plus tip for that disgusting meal and will never go there again!!
My steak and cheese burrito was mostly cheese. Every bite for 75% of the burrito was just straight up cheese. The queso was blah.
This place is NASTY! DIRTY. FOOD IS HORRIBLE! AND CUSTOMER SEVICE DOESNT EXIST THERE! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! This place should b shut down and condemed!
Not very inviting girl taking orders seemed to have an attitude and burned my food the other guy there just stands there doesn't take orders SMH
Was disgusted by the quality of the ground beef in my beef burrito. It was flavorless and had a consistency somewhere between dog kibble and sawdust. How the folks at Hot Harry’s felt o.k. sending that food out the door for someone to eat is beyond me. Outside of tonight’s order, quality has been so inconsistent for the last year. Last time I’ll order from them.
About 5-10 years ago in glenmont NY was a hot Harry’s and it was amazing better then Taco Bell better then moe’s but it moved at some point and I found one in east greenbush NY and decided to go expecting it to be just as good or better……… Not even close the taco meat I got today looked a week old it was absolutely dry my gf said it looked like dry cat food the worker told me it was just made this morning in her absolutely difficult India accent so I tried it hoping I’m absolutely wrong I bit into it had to spit it out right away and asked for my money back as it was giving to me after asking a few times so unfortunately I had very high hopes for this location as it’s the only one around the capital region I don’t recommend going there as it’s not what it once was.
I've always been a big fan/supporter of hot Harry's and miss the Schenectady one. I went in and ordered a monster supreme burrito and got the biggest disappointment of my life, only one small scoop of chicken, not double cheese and the woman behind the counter didn't even know what Pico was, sad
Tried to order a taco salad. Person behind the counter asked if I wanted lettuce when the ingredients are clearly listed on the board. She didn’t replace glove between orders and handled most of the food with her hands into the tubs. Outside of not knowing the menu, person had to open up a bag of cheese for my gf’s order and used a knife that was visibly dirty and stored between the two steam tables. Dirty practices and blatantly bad hygiene regarding the food. Will never eat here
We normally really like this place, but the girl making our food tonight was awful. We drive 20 minutes to pick up our food from here. When my husband got home, our half a pint of queso was only half full. His burrito and my tacos had barely any meat on them. This meal should have been half price, because it’s less than half the meat!!! This was the amount of steak in my taco. Seriously!?!
