The food was delicous! Every single dish was so tasty and very generous portion sizes which was good because we were all hungry! The staff were amazing. They really made us all feel very welcome. This was my first visit but certainly will not be my last. 5 stars!
They serve brilliant food and offer excellent customer service, I tried the lunch menu, 3 courses of mussels, sea bass and tiramisu. One of the best meals I've had.
We ordered 21 tapas and they were very delicious!
Really nice place. Good Mediterranean food with great fresh ingredients! You can realise that by the taste and the flavours. The bruschettas and potatoes are basic and spanakopita can have better and crispier fylo, other than that the rest we had are so tasty! A lot of delicious vegetarian choices and also alcohol free drinks. The prices are fair. Most days the restaurant is really busy and quite noisy but the food came quickly. The service is also great. I will visit again for sure.
Service was quick and friendly. We were seated straight away with no booking. Food was good. A Tuesday lunch time was quiet but still a pleasant atmosphere.
A neighbourhood gem. Warm atmosphere and very good service. Well-priced wines, too. We got the tapas/mezze set sharing menu and it was great value. Tons of food that offered something of a survey tour of the greatest hits.
Nice and cosy place. The service was very friendly and the food was lovely. I had mussels and they were really tasty in a beautiful tomato based sauce.
A lovely glass fronted light and airy restaurant. La Casa has a real Mediterranean family run feel with ‘mama’ in the kitchen. Very generous portions and food was delicious, homemade and very moorish. We ordered a meze selection of small dishes. The vegetarian choice is excellent. Staff were friendly and great vibe.
Busy place with efficient and very friendly service and great food. Portions are generous. Clearly very popular but they squeezed in our family party of 9 on a Thursday evening. Highly recommended.
Perfect place to go if you want to have a lot of little plates to share with a friend or SO. We got the fries, chicken, lentil soup and meatballs between 2 people. Very filling and delicious, I got a mocktail that tasted great! Service was nice and the atmosphere was very warm.
We love to visit La Casa anytime we fancy light bites or a bigger tapas dinner in Leith. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the wine selection pairs really nicely with their menu. Their specials are always good to check out, and in warmer weather the frozen cocktails are a delight. Highly recommend!
Had a lovely meal here, we ate at 6pm on a Friday evening and there were tables but it started to get very busy by 7pm so recommend booking. The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was top class, really tasty. Had a delicious halloumi salad too. Highly recommend.
Beautiful room with excellent windows and features. The staff were super friendly and the service was really quick. They have a great selection of Spanish and Greek tapas/small plates which actually really complement each other well. And all of it was delicious. Especially the fried cheese dishes. And also the tortilla, which i always use as a good benchmark of tapas. Loads of veggie options.
On 15th February 2025, my wife and I had some walk and had our lunch in there. All staff were very kind and our ordered cuisines were also very good. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you! Today, I visited this restaurant first time for my lunch. All staffs were very kind and very nice. All cuisine were very good. There was very comfortable restaurant. Very much looking forward to visiting again soon! Thank you!
We came here for dinner. The restaurant is bright and allows for lots of natural light which gives it a great atmosphere. The service is blisteringly quick, from ordering to getting our first tapas took less than 5 minutes. And it just kept coming from there. All of the food was delicious(and hot). I have heard a lot of good things about La Casa, and I can now also heartily recommend it.
A bit on the higher end of the pricing, but good food, lively atmosphere and just overall the cafe passes the vibe check. This was great to have a dinner with friends who are not very adventurous foodies as the cafe mostly serves tasty classics. Would eat here again!
Each dish was absolutely delicious. We had octopus, garlic prawns, and padron peppers. The staff was very kind, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I dare to say that the food was much better than in many places in Spain. And taking into account their prices, I can’t recommend this place enough.
Five star experience! The food was amazing, ordering the tapas alone was enough to feed the table. The staff was amazing, friendly and easy to chat with. Felt so welcoming. Everything on the Taos menu was a hit, from the hummus, chorizos, to the bravas. The drinks were also tastefully made. Need a place to feel the warmth and diversity of Edinburgh, then this is where you want to go for dinner or a late lunch.
Fantastic Spanish tapas at this restaurant. The waitstaff was great too. Get the Chef’s tapas for two people L19.99. The portions are large and you will have takeaway for the following day. The red sangria is good too.
We went there for a Saturday dinner. Didn’t Pre-book, but fortunately they were able to organise a table for two in short time for us. We ordered 4 tapas: mussel, meat ball, padron pepper, calamari. All cooked just right and piping hot. For main we both ordered lamb chops. They were delicious. We were very full so skipped dessert. As our table was near the bar/grill, we can see how busy they were, but every one was cheerful, with a smile.
Nice tapas restaurant, highly recommend the mussels and octopus legs. The lamb was also great. Calamari wasn’t very impressing but good. Seems like they haven’t got enough waiters… but the service was acceptable.
Lovely place with a great atmosphere! Service was quick and very attentive. The pasta portion was perfect for one! But please put the menu online— it’s very difficult to find ⭐️🙂↕️
Best mixed grill in town! Loved the Spanish twist of having grilled chorizo next to Greek loukanikon. You could tell both the veggies and the meats were very fresh. Fries tasted like they’re homemade.
Brilliant food amazing staff Something on the menu for everyone Hygiene was excellent We will definitely be back Unfortunately I didn't post this review before we did return opps This time the food was even better if that was possible. Olives and brucheta while enjoying a drink and reading the menu. There was no rush to do this from the friendly staff. We opted for 3 tapas dishes Meatballs, Ham Croquet and Prawns with Choritso also the must have bread. We ate this at leasure having a wee rest before the main course. One Lamb Chops and One Chicken with ham and cheese. This didn't disappoint fresh zesty salad with nice chips accompanied them. From start to finish the taste was amazing. I would Thouroughly recommend this restraunt. I have to mention Maria she never stopped and had time to help all customers with any questions. If you are her boss and reads this she deserves a pay rise lol.
You must to visit this place lovely tapas menu. Octopus, ham croquettes, beans soup and prawns were delicious!
Friendly staff serving Mediterranean / Spanish food and drinks. Best to have reservations as the place tend to get fully booked for dinners. Sangria is a must try 🍸 🍹
Food was so great, highly recommend mussels and prawns 🦐 . Staffs are friendly and nice. It is a good cozy place for late lunch gathering with friends;)
The hummus and pasta with shrimp were really good. The food came quite quickly, and the service was decent. I would visit again for the lentil soup.
Absolutely loved this restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was simply outstanding. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. We’ll definitely be back!
Great tapas and Mediterranean small plates - good wine list and service is always at the right pace. Great for a date night or a bigger friends / family get together.
The food here is absolutely delicious! The seafood was incredibly fresh and full of flavour, and the grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding—so welcoming and friendly, especially with my 3-year-old. We had tried a few other places before discovering this gem, and ended up coming back for two dinners and a lunch. Needless to say, it was the best food we had in the area. Thank you to the whole team!
Had lovely dinner on January Sunday evening! We have nice table next to heater . Roasted vegetables for starter dressed with olive oil and balsamic and mixed grilled meat (lamb pork chicken and chorizo sausage) all together was great! Coming back soon!!!!
Really nice and cosy, we were a few minutes late arriving for our reservation due to an issue with the trams but was no problem. Staff were all really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food is outstanding and all cooked very freshly and brought out as and when it’s ready. We were too busy enjoying our food to take any pictures. Would definitely recommend and make sure you book as there’s not too many tables.
Absolutely gorgeous food! I had lamb chops and my husband had sea bass. Both were the best we've tasted in a long time. Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.
Very accommodating for us as we were a walk in during peak Christmas market season. The meals were lovely, you’ll leave very satisfied. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and felt incredibly inviting. The staff were all wonderful and kindhearted. Highly recommend! Thankyou to all the staff and chefs ❤️
Much better than expected. Generous portions of delicious food. Nice and reasonable priced cocktails. Service nice and attentive. Atmosphere good, not too loud when busy , music in background, nice decor.
Such a lovely experience from start to finish! The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place — we’ll definitely be returning soon!
The lamb dish is one of the most beautiful plates of food I have ever seen. Wish I had ordered it too. I had the prawn paella and only tasted a few of the potatoes from the lamb. Amazing. Great food. We didn't have a reservation but they squeezed us in. Glad they did.
The Groupon for ittison brought me here to leith walk. This restaurant is decorated like a glasshouse combined with wooden tone. The dishes came like a small portion but still able to share. We got 3-4 dishes. Chorizo and shrimp are alright but little oily for me. The croquettes is my highlight. Nice and cozy place to hangout.
We were very hungry, sat down immediately, although there were many empty tables. We were asked to come in 30 minutes, because. there was no cook. Very large portions of food. Ate for two. The food is delicious.
Great tasty food and friendly staff! We ordered 7 tapas for 3 persons. Additionally coffee and 2 desserts to share. Nice atmosphere and cozy environment. You should make a table reservation as the restaurant is popular (with good reason) Only thing standing out, is that we do not favour the optional service fee of 10% included on the bill and It’s like -> the more you eat, the more you pay. I suggest you instead add a standard service fee (fixed cost) to all customers.
Nice environment, good service! It’s very cozy and filled with Christmas atmosphere! Food is served super fast:) I found this place via google map and literally I don’t have the anticipation about its environment. But we enjoy eating here a lot. The only thing is that the risotto cooked a bit of hard to me. I think it was due to the different eating habits. Asians prefer to have a softer rice 🍚 . Anyway, It’s fine tho!
They say 3-4 dishes of tapas was recommended, but for us two tapas and one main dish was more than enough. (The quantity is quite huge for a tapas) the risotto(main dish) was creamy and good, but the salad and polpo tasted a little bit bland.
It is very pretty. I enjoyed the interior. However, food and drinks tasted way below my expectations. Margarita was too sweet, tapas were not terrible, but If you are looking for authentic food, it's not it. Looks pretty, but that's all.
We have been to La Casa Leith many times and enjoyed it most times. However we visited it on Friday 17 October at 5.30 as a family. One of my family ordered a dish but when it arrived it was not what he had ordered. The girl was very abrupt with him and obviously wasn't happy having to take the dish away and order another one. Afterwards she "stared" him out! Most unpleasant! We normally order more but asked for the bill and left. We will now definitely have second thoughts of going back.
The food was very average and felt like it was straight from the microwave/deep fryer. The filo pastry was very soggy, the prawns were overcooked with very little flavour, the omelette felt like it had just from the microwave. Some tables got limoncello shots after dinner, but they didn’t give us any. Overall the bill for 2 people was over £100. I don’t think it was really worth it!
We went yesterday we should have been a party of 8 but one was ill, we asked that our table be reorganised the wautress did this for us. We all had to choose from either lunch OR a la cart. The food was ok, chicken with a lemon sauce with chips, no veg included, although one of our party got veg as she is gluten free and waitress could not garantee chips were GF as they only had 1 fryer. Ice cream was lovely. Overall I think we thought it was ok, a little lacking atmostphere, but food tasty and well priced.
We went in for lunch. The Christmas menu is quite small and lacking in variety, which would've been fine, wasn't it for the fact that I found a human hair on my risotto. When alerted, the waiter was sceptical as, according to him, "the chef is bold", but anyway agreed to replace the dish. To our surprise, the bill arrived, and we were charged full price plus service charge, the latter which we refused to pay. On an aside note, just because you keep addressing folk as "señora", this doesn't make you Spanish; just old fashioned, if anything. Not a particularly pleasant experience (at £40!) and poor customer service. Don't recommend.
We went to different restaurants of this company, the food was delicious everywhere, but the service was simply terrible. After waiting 20 minutes for a glass of wine, we asked the waiter where the wine was. He grimaced, covered his mouth with both hands and screamed something. Obviously this meant that he had forgotten about the wine. But this does not mean that you need to organize a circus. Also, when we left, I put on my jacket, my phone and bag were on the table. The waiter came up and started spraying spray on the table and on my things too. It seems to me that you can wait until the guests leave and not try to drive them out in any way. Otherwise they were simply impolite. And the octopus was too tough
Had a lovely Sea bass dish with mussels and a sea food sauce. The Parmentier potatoes were light and crispy with a hint of rosemary. For the sweet we shared a sweet 🧁 of tiramisu and a coffee and liquor 🥃 All in all a lovely meal.
