L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

L&L is one of the few most favorite places that I go to. Food was good, But its usually very good. It was over cooked a little. I have been going to the one in Mira Mesa for years and never had an over cooked chicken. It must have been a one time issue. The place was clean and nice with a few add-on option of rice and spam. I will be back again soon for sure because I like L&L and to make sure it was only that just one time I had a little burned chicken skin.

Went there earlier today 3/25/22.. very new staff, did not know how to select QR code for the app. She said she has to wait for her manager... Other than the poor training the new staff, it is always great food, decent service, and perfect if you're ordering to-go. Would not recommend eating inside it gets hot and stuffy. Perfect meal if you are craving Hawaiian food. I suggest ordering the combo and it comes with steak, chicken, and BBQ short ribs. Around $15. We also substitute the short ribs with the katsu chicken, as there is not that meat on the ribs (mostly bone) Have fun 👌

Found this Hawaiian food place after nearly 3 hours at the DMV down the street. Helpful cashier got my ordered dialed in for me; BBQ Chicken, white rice and macaroni salad. Order came out pretty quick in a to-go set up. Ate at table and was happy with the huge chicken portion! Tasty sauce was used on chicken; but the available sauces to use at my table were not as good, next time I'll ask for a side of that teriyaki they use when cooking. Enjoyed my meal, left very full.

My Seafood Combo included crispy breaded butterfly shrimp, Ahi tuna cooked tender and flaky, ribs, cabbage, rice and a delicious sweet macaroni salad. Gravy fries on the side made the meal a thing of true gluttony. Prices are reasonable and you can dine in or carry out. Certainly satisfying! If you're looking for a different sort of fast food, L & L might just have your number. Aloha!

one of our fave spots for dinner! portions are huge and the ahi poke is fresh!! the only thing is our to-go bag didn’t come with utensils and napkins :( still a great place to eat!

I've given this place several chances and they still fall short. Cashier seemed more interested in a convo she was having with the cook. After the wait, my food was average. Use the cash they charge you for any extra sauce and use it for gas to drive to Santee location.

The food was delicious and I really liked the Vienna sausage and eggs dish. The cashier Karla was very helpful and nice. I would highly recommend coming by and getting an authentic meal!

Just got my order 15min ago. The food was disgusting. The chicken katsu was grey and old. The mac was plain. They forgot my katsu sauce. The bbq beef ribs were cold. $33 gone to waste. I used to love this place but the quality has drastically gone down. The lumpia was ok, probably the only half decent item and I’m being generous. Included a picture of the katsu, before people think this is what thigh looks like….no it’s grey.

Received 1 short rib, and it was as if they tore it from a hyena and I got the leftovers. Do the extra 5 mins drive to Santee

I would like to start this review off by saying the lady who works in the front is very nice and have us excellent service. However, my wife and I got our food severely burnt, and the taste was horrifying. It tasted like there was some type of chemical cleaner that was cooked into the meat. I wish I could describe the smell and taste. They also have their cooks smoking out front which is an obvious public health violation. This is very disappointing considering L&L is usually one of our favorite places to eat, and this was our first time at this broadway location and definitely our last. I am really hoping to convey this as a possible warning if you have kids, or eat here yourself I would just be a bit mindful.

When I went to pick up it was 8:35 pm and it was closed! So they close at 9 like Whatta !!! They could’ve just told me we are no longer taking orders
