Avis sur Julio's Mexican Food El Paso
My friend and I came here for lunch and drinks. This place never disappoints when I come into town. I had drinks at the Joe Battle location yesterday, then came to this location today.lol. The food is great but my absolute favorite thing is the cucumber margarita! Please don't ever take this off of the menu! I look forward to eating and drinking at Julio's everytime I'm in El Paso. The service is great and the wait staff is very attentive. Keep up the good work!
Exceptional service and food. The margarita was DELICIOUS 😋 Be prepared - there's a cash discount, so go to the ATM before Julio's 💰💸 One thing, the cleaning solvent is very pungent. While it's nice to know the place is clean, the smell can be overwhelming.
We had a party and had wonderful service. Servers on point, helped with cake. It was just a wonderful experience.
Lunch menu has a very good variety of food options for lent. Capirotada was delicious, sweet taste was perfect. I would have given a higher rating for the atmosphere, but the restaurant was super hot, no fans and no AC on. There was also a table of approx 12 people and they were loud and obnoxious. I think large parties should be in a different room.
Our waitress, Sophia, was very pleasant and provided excellent service. It's been a long time since I've encountered such attentive and kind service. I highly recommend this restaurant, not only for the delicious food but also for Sophia's exceptional service. I would definitely return if only she served me.
Com here quite often with my Godfather and mother. Food is delicious but the quality of service is what really makes the experience enjoyable! We usually always ask for Valeria, as she's become our favorite server. :) Definitely a wonderful worker and super attentive!
Excellent authentic Mexican food, good prices, and excellent service from the staff. Thanks, Layla, for your great service. By the way, I never thought I'd find a fellow Dominican so far away from home! 😅
Sophia had excellent customer service she was on top of our needs. Very good atmosphere and great food we ordered mole enchiladas-tamipiqueña steak-and carnitas we were a group of 4. Thank you Sophia you were excellent!👏👏👏👏
Nice clean Mexican restaurant with great atmosphere, like the atrium and skylight. The waitress forgot some items in my order to go and I called it in, the next evening and Ernesto corrected it, he made it good. Thank you for good customer service! I will keep coming back and I am egar to try other items from the menu.
We came for the weekend breakfast buffet and it was so good! It had lots of options, both savory and sweet. Service was very friendly. Some live music was there as well making a very nice atmosphere. This might be the best breakfast in town!
First time here for me & mi esposa. My wife ordered the Pescado al Mojo de ajo and a tamarindo margarita. I ordered the Chicken Mole Poblano which was amazing. Definitely the best mole I've eaten out at a restaurant and possibly as good as my wife's (almost). The corn tortillas were prepared exactly how I like them, on the comal. We ordered the guacamole to start with and I did think it was a little light on flavor, so I added some salt. Otherwise the food was fantastic as was the service. Bien hecho, Sofia.
We had lunch today to celebrate my sister birthday. I ordered the tacos pirata plate with lentils soup. My husband had that, too. My birthday sister had a fajita plate, and my other sister had the beef flautas as well. Our server was Carlos. He took care of us and brought us more drinks, our appetizers, and extra napkins. The music was great and the service was awesome.
The Albondigas soup was really nice. Their red salsa has flavor and heat it was best I've had eating out in El Paso. I been here 5 years. The atmosphere is really nice we were a large party. My food was great. Several people in my party didn't eat their food as it was too salty or cold. I can only rate my meal. Tge pictures say it all.
We dropped by for lunch on Valentine's day. We got there just after 11:00 and there was no wait. The food was great, and so was the service. The music was just loud enough for us to recognize the songs but not loud enough to interfere with conversations. The lent specials were good and reasonably priced. Julios always delivers a good meal at a good price.
Food was great! I had the sopa Tlapeño! Authentic!! The service was as great as the sopa! Attentive! Love the decor! Great foe celebrations, overall great! We will be back.

Came to celebrate a baby shower, which had a catering event. All the food was amazing! Very flavorful and the staff was courteous and the ambiance was casual.
Julio's is one of our favorite restaurants to go for dinner. We love their chicken mole poblano and great margaritas. We've never been disappointed no matter what we order.
I have loved going to Julio's for years! The ambiance is nice and fun. Their chili rellenos is always fantastic as well as their enchiladas, which is why I like to order both of them on a platter. …

This is a good spot for foodies, and I have to immediately shout out their Arrachera Tacos—they are genuinely delicious! The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the tortillas were fresh. Easily the highlight of the meal and a strong reason to return. Warning about the atmosphere, particularly the live music. While I appreciate the attempt to create a lively vibe, the band was way too loud. It was honestly difficult to have a conversation without shouting. More importantly, the music itself wasn't very engaging. It felt like a distraction rather than an enhancement. Parking can also be difficult.
This buffet is a little more relaxing than others I've tried. I like that some of the dishes are brought to your table and you don't have to be getting up. The server was very attentive. We have received excellent service. The breakfast buffet includes the drink. It was a nice treat. Enmoladas were delicious. The beef fajitas were good, although I didn't care for refried beans and couldn't switch with charros without paying an upcharge. The lunch menu is pretty reasonable. I had the shrimp quesadillas, and they were good!! The Mexican Plate was good as well. Today's visit was for a family gathering with a buffet-type meal. Everything was delicious. The arrachera fajitas are pricey but good.
Great restaurant for Mexican food. Although, my chimichangas came cold which tells me the meat was sitting in a cold tray and they didn't cook it long enough. It was immediately rectified and the replacement was delicious. The tres leches cake is absolutely delicious, however it is extremely rich so keep that in mind when ordering. Nice experience and good environment. I will return.
I have been to julio's multiple time and they have great food and service. I usually stop in for a quick lunch when I land in ElPaso. I had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce and they were excellent. Only reason for 4 stars was the chips for the salsa were soggy and stale. Overall very good and recommended.

This restaurant has good authentic Mexican dishes and everything is served fresh. My only complaint is that it took a pretty long time for us to order food. We got drinks and an appetizer and the server took a while to come back and take our order. The food did come out in a timely manner and everything did taste great however. I would come back to eat here again because the atmosphere was great.

I don’t know if Mr. Orrantia reads these reviews? But, I think he should since he runs this location. I came here on Saturday evening because of the happy hour from 3 to 11 pm. As you walk in to the left there is a lighted board above the register that has the specials. It clearly states, Happy Hour-Saturdays from 3 pm until closing. So what did I do? I had 2 margaritas. When it’s time for me to pay, I got charged regular price. I told the waiter and he said, there is no Happy Hour on Saturdays. I let him know the sign in front says, there is Happy Hour on Saturdays. He had to call the manager and she no, Happy Hour! I told her yes, go look at the sign! She comes back to the table and apologized but could only deduct $2.50 from the final bill. I let her know this is false advertising/deceptive business practices! You cannot advertise happy hour on Saturdays and when it’s time to pay, you decide it’s not happy hour! Happy Hour for a margarita is 6.00 and regular price is 8.50. The waiter Cesar Troy, like always, was rude! He had about 3 other tables around us and never asked us for refills or asked us if we wanted more tostadas. When I asked him for he a refill he seem annoyed and bothered. He can see we needed refills but continued to talk to talk about his life at the table next to us! It’s too bad Mario was not working, he is a great server and so is Giovanni. If you ever go to Julio’s ask for Giovanni or Mario. You can also sit in the bar area, Diana is great at bartending!
Extremely expensive and definitely not as good as the food you would get from a mom and pop Mexican restaurant. I wouldn't waist my time here when you can get way better food down the street at a real Mexican restaurant. 1 person cost $52.××. If the food was amazing I wouldn't have cared about the price but it was bland and my baked potato wasn't even cooked all the way.
Food in general my daughter got food poisoning we were not impressed too expensive for the tope of food

I don’t know how there was such a big range of quality difference for food. It almost felt like the guacamole was left out and they still served it. The steak was too tough. I’ve had better!!

Horrible service. Soup was cold and soggy. This young manager/asst. manager went around tables to ask "how is everything?" I explained; he did nothing about it!

Quick summary of our awful experience at Julio’s. Our server, Andrea, started by telling us we couldn’t order happy hour drinks, even though it was still 11 minutes till 7:00 and happy hour hadn’t ended yet. So I went to the bar instead. Kevin, the bartender, ignored me while serving others, then started cleaning dishes. I finally had to ask him directly to make my drink, and by then it was 7:01… so suddenly happy hour was definitely over. Convenient. Back at the table, my parents asked Andrea for lemon for their tea. She said they didn’t have any, despite multiple nearby tables having plenty of lemon. Noticing a pattern here. We ordered food and waited over an hour for it to start coming out. When it finally did, Andrea served everyone except my brother, then casually told him, “He don’t have your food, would you like anything else?” He ordered chicken enchiladas. Not a complicated request. My mom asked to speak with a manager and was told “no, he’s too busy.” (Spoiler: he wasn’t.) When the manager finally came out, he apologized and said they were short-staffed, yet they were still seating tables in the overflow room. Meanwhile, multiple tables around us had also been waiting over an hour with no food. Fountain drinks and teas were never refilled, drinks ordered with specials were forgotten entirely, and overall the service was impressively bad. Unless you’re a masochist who enjoys wretched service and creative excuses, do yourself a favor and skip Julio’s.
The place itself was nice. But that's it. We've been here before and the food has been great the service is questionable. But yesterday was horrible. On a Wednesday, I thought the service would have been good. The rice and beans were dry. They might have been old. Leo our waiter was nice but he probably didn't have any experience. I had to get up and request refills and other stuff we ordered. I didn't receive everything that was on the menu. Hunting down the waiter, old food does not make a going out experience fun. Taco bell would have been better for $40 but at $143 bill feels like we've been mugged. Never again will we make my way over here just to get robbed. 1 star only because we can't give a minus 3 stars. Do yourself a favor. Go to Chico's or Taco Bell hell even MacDonalds at least you know what you are getting!!!
Took my mother to eat here because of food has always been really good , but yesterday taking her there because I told her the food there was really good but the food was horrible the rice was old and dry beans tasted burnt and the service sucked we spend most of our dinner flagging someone down to bring us drinks plates it was a very bad experience it's sad cuz the food was always good there but yesterday I think I rather would have eaten at Chico's tacos will be the last time eating dinner there. I wondered why the place didn't get packed anymore now I know why. And this place really needs to train their waiters our waiter half of the time he was lost the atmosphere was the only nice thing of yesterday's experience having dinner there. If you want to eat good Mexican food this this wouldn't be a place I'd be recommending.
We were seated but not given menus and had to request them. The chips were served cold, as though they had just come from the refrigerator, and the salsa tasted more like watered-down canned tomatoes than something freshly prepared. When I ordered my enchiladas, I asked for queso instead of red sauce, but what I received was just a small sprinkle of shredded cheese on top—not what I expected. The guacamole seemed prepackaged rather than fresh, and the beans were dry and tasted like they had come from a can. Overall, the food and presentation did not meet the standards I would expect for the price. If you’re looking for a higher-quality dining experience, I would recommend trying another restaurant in the area.
