The Baseline: For California Chicken Cafe the chicken must be cooked well, taste awesome, the side of roasted potatoes must be savory, the additional items must be fresh, and the service must stand up to expectations. September 8th, 2025 (5 stars because of Travis): Food: The food at CCC is good. Got the vegetable soup which is tasty. Also the Chinese Chicken salad with dressing on the side. It would have been nice if I got the dressing… Service: I made a mobile order today with a half an hour window for pick up (not ASAP). The order left out the dressing for my salad and I had to drive 1/2 an hour to come back and get it. Travis made it all right. Atmosphere: They have tables and chairs out front now. Previous review was 5-stars: Food: Fully cooked chicken that was moist and tasty that I ordered well done. The roasted potatoes had a delicious mix of potatoes, yams, and onions cooked to perfection. The chicken salad had fresh ingredients mixed with well shredded rotisserie chicken. Service: This location is order-to-go and the curb side service is excellent. The app makes it easy to order and has plenty of customizable options for your food. Atmosphere: This is an order-to-go location so the atmosphere is the Chargers Commons in El Segundo. It can be a bit traffic busy due to the nearby Raisin’ Canes.

Everything was fresh, healthy, and affordable. The chicken was delicious and the service was excellent especially by Gabby who took the time to explain all my options to me. Easy Plaza parking, outdoor seating. I’ll definitely be back.

This is a really cool chicken wrap spot that focuses on fresh and a more healthy alternative to burgers and fries. The wrap itself is quite sizeable which was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t want finish all of it, but it was delicious, so I did. I got the rice wrap and it was definitely a delicious wrap. Ordering can be a little overwhelming if you’ve never been here before, but look for either a wrap option or salad option to start. Then choose the type of style that you want. There’s no indoor dining as well - you just pick up your food and go, or sit on the patio.

I spent no more than $21 on all this food, even the delicious cookie. I fell in love with this place, wish Texas would have something like this. Delicious, fresh, and plenty of food. Very nice customer service as well

The food was good (black girl taste buds approved). Every staff person and the manager treated me nice and were extra considerate and respectful. The food also came quick and it was healthy. I ordered the 1/4 chicken dark, veggie rice, mashed potatoes & mixed fruit. I will be returning.

I first found out about Calif Chicken Cafe during my college days. There was a location not far from my University. Shout out to all the Matadors!!! Let's jump right into review. What did I have - Kids meal - $6 - 2 chicken legs, cookie or drink of your choice - 10/10, chicken is juicy and flavorful Roasted potatoes -$3.50 - Red potatoes and sweet potatoes sautéed w/ onions & spices. (vegan) - 10/10 Poppi Strawberry Lime soda - $3 I have frequent Calif Chicken Cafe in Northridge, Westwood, & now El Segundo. Since COVID, I saw a transition to pick-up only. I am happy the El Segundo location offers outdoor seating. There are 3 online order pick-up parking spots at the entrance #nice. This location is in a busy food/shopping mall area in El Segundo. You can place an order online via their website or in-person. Both are efficient. Curbside pick-up is fast and friendly. Food is made to order. Delicious! Reasonably price. Friendly service. Nothing negative to report here. I'll be back again.

This is a great healthy place to eat. I was undecided between McDonald's and Raisin Canes. I decided to check out this new restaurant. Cesar wrap and chewy coconut tasted great and filled me up. Reasonable price and good service. TRY IT OUT. YOU'LL LIKE IT!

5-STAR RECOMMENDATION: The food is excellent! I highly recommend the tasty chicken (1/2 dark meat) with a side order of the chicken pasta salad! Ask for the House Red Salsa and splurge a little extra and get the bottle (you won't regret it)! To finish off, I suggest the Chewy Coco-nut Cookie, which is absolutely delicious!

I have literally been eating the California salad 3x weekly and I cant stop. It's healthy and filling and keeping me on track. They even sent me a free cookie on door dash once bc they were probably seeing my order come in daily. HAHA.

I've been dying to post this review!! So, to start, "Adrian" is absolutely 💯 amazing. I'm a director of Nursing for several facilities. I can't bring just "anything " for lunch to my doctors. Not only was Adrian "Amazing ", but I could tell that I wasn't just another #. When I returned for my 2nd time, Adrian addressed me by my name. This occurred as I was approuching the cafe. Both encounters thay Ive had with him has benn 5 STAR service for me (I'm not easy to please). Let's get to the food! Yummmm, and more Yummmm! I often order the Chinese chicken Salad Wrap! It's..you know "Amazing "! What is so special in addition to "Adrian " is they sometimes give you this "extra" on the side. I believe the label states "On us "? It can be anything..like a surprise 😮 Yayyyyyy! Love you Adrian and Travis (I hope I got your name correct) you are doing an "Amazing " job! Love ya! See you this week!! Yayyyyyy

Tonight we spoke with a staff member named Travis after the ordeal happened and he offered us a full refund on our order (will come back to confirm whether that happens or not). He was SO apologetic and offered to remake our order (we live far so we passed on that), but anyways he was amazing through the whole conversation. The last time this happened, they offered us 2 free wraps the next time we came in and they honored that promise as well. So all in all, even though we've been burned twice by this place we keep coming back because the chicken is really good when it actually comes in the meal 😂. Anyways, here's a pic of the wrap in all its veggie glory (i took a few bites of one side in denial of the fact that we were without chicken AGAIN) . I think their best wrap is the rice wrap with feta, green onions, croutons, sprouts and carrots added in!!

This place used to be phenomenal. Food quality is still solid but they charge $16 for a wrap that has reduced in size by 50% and now contains 50% lettuce. There is hardly a quarter of a chicken breast in the wrap. I understand its hard to run a business in california but its now a rip off to eat here. Management needs to understand they are losing customers.

I only really like the Melrose wrap and the Chinese wrap here. I tried their 1/4 rotisserie chicken (all dark meat) and the portion was honestly pretty sad. For the price, it just isn’t worth it. I prefer the Beverly Hills location over the El Segundo one because they always gives me extra chicken in the wrap and on the side. I eat there often, and I actually feel like they value me as a customer. If you go, just skip the rotisserie chicken. You can get a whole one at Costco for the same price.

The salads have fresh ingredients and come in good portions. However I’m removing some stars because I was shocked to see how much unnecessary plastic waste is a result of a meal. The company also does not have a list of nutrition facts for their food. I thought this was interesting to see for a “health conscious” restaurant.

Today 2/5/2026, placed my usual online order for a half chicken but this time no wing. I assumed the wing would be replaced with a leg or perhaps a small thigh that comes in a half chicken order. This is my first selecting this option. I arrived home and noticed I have only three pieces of chicken, and still charged the 1/2 chicken price. I called the store and informed them of my order missing a piece of chicken. The rude Hispanic girl told me that I requested no wing which is correct. She goes on to say that they do not replace the wing and three pieces for the price of four is what I get, and that’s on me. This rude person literally stated “that’s on you.” I literally frequent this place once and sometimes twice per week and to be told “that’s on you” because I didn’t understand how they operate is appalling. Needless to say I WILL NEVER patronize this business again after being spoken to like this.
