Bene is a popular spot known for its coffee, pastries, and lattes like the red velvet and hazelnut. It's often busy with people working or studying, so finding a table can be challenging. The strawberry mojito and espresso macchiato are also highly recommended.

Avis sur Bene Elizalde Kalea
They make the best espresso macchiato in town. The coffee is flavorful and has high quality. Their staff is always super friendly, even on very busy days. Highly recommended.
Great coffee place, and parking situation not so bad. I would say that it isn’t so easy to take meetings from this place due to noise, but if you’ve got a pair of headphones it isn’t hard to grind on your studying/work. Their pastries/etc are good and I have to say I also enjoy their drinks. Pretty good meetup spot too imo.
Amazing place to work from, though it does get pretty packed sometimes. Their strawberry mojito (non-alcoholic) was the best I’ve ever had. The mashed strawberries were packed with flavor, and it was overall incredibly light and refreshing, and served in a cute glass cup. They must use really high quality jam, or maybe I just can’t tell the difference when it comes to jam. Either way though I LOVED IT AND THE OVERALL AMBIENCE!!
A cozy spot with great lattes and pastries—I tried the Earl Grey pastry, and it was fantastic. The café is popular, making it a lively place to work or catch up with friends. There’s a parking garage for convenience, and while outdoor seating is available, it’s right next to the street.
Red velvet late was delicious 💕 Highly recommended this beverage and this place! Everything was great! We ordered banana honey walnut bread and coffe for two it was more than enough 💕 also I recomended sit outside, because they have a nice shady place and it so good, for me 😉 We will come back 💕
Nice place with good coffee. Too bad they don’t do proper plates/utensils for cakes right now. Sandwiches are nice too. Unfortunately, just like any coffee place, they always have a working/ studying crowd there occupying all seating places. So it could be tough to find a table. It’s partially solved during nice weather - there no power sockets for outdoor tables hence they are usually free
The coffee is very good and their pastries are great too! I had a hazelnut latte and a strawberry short cake. The cake was soft and airy. The sweetness is just the right amount in both the items. They have piece cakes, cheesecakes and macaroons as well. They have a great seating area to sit and work. They don't have street parking in front of the cafe. But the parking on the adjacent streets was pretty empty.
I had a great experience at Café Bene! Their cappuccino was smooth, flavorful, and really well-balanced — easily one of the better ones I’ve had recently. I also tried their croissant, which was fresh, flaky, and a perfect light bite alongside the coffee. I appreciated that they offer almond milk as an alternative, and they use the Califia brand, which is a high-quality choice. It would be even better if they added an organic almond milk option in the future. One thing to note: the regular dairy milk they use isn’t organic, A2, or from a local pasture-raised source. It would be amazing if they could offer more premium milk options for those who care about sourcing. Overall, still a very cozy spot with quality coffee and pastries — definitely worth a visit!
It was extremely busy when I went. Lots of people working on their laptop. Thankfully, they had a nice seating area outside, which is nice on a cool day. They have a lot of pastries and cakes, and they genuinely looked really good, but I didn’t try any. I got an iced Americano, and the coffee was certainly high-quality and not overly acidic. It’s not one of your cute cafes where you go to read or relax, but rather can be good place if you want to grab a quick coffee.
Customer service standards are lacking in terms of how they greet customers. But they are straightforward and make your order promptly. WiFi password changes everyday, if you return you will need to forget the network on all your devices and enter the new password for the day. Not the end of the world but definitely adds extra to your day, but I understand since they don’t want people to come in and WiFi squat. Ordered a Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($8.42 with tax). They have some outlets along the walls which is sufficient but chances are you won’t be able to get an outlet since the seats along the wall are mostly taken. Came in at two different times on a weekday at around 12:00pm and 5:30pm. That is what I concluded.
Looking at the photos, you could almost taste the flavors of this magnificent Café. It is extremely popular amongst the locals and for good reason. The food is undeniably delicious. I spent $40 on everything in the pictures, because I could not help myself. A bit expensive, but it's a good once in a while treat.
I like the vibe the place generates. Casual and pretty chill. The location is excellent to attract students and working class people. The staff js helpful and is generally quick in getting your order. We had the mint cold brew latte and red velvet latte. Mint cold brew is definitely recommended. Variety of other options to choose from. Don't forget to try the pastries and the bakery items too. Recommend to head to this place during the off-peak hours for good seating. There is an outdoor seating available too. Recommend the owner to add multiple charging spots. During peak-hours suggestion for the staff to clean the tables. The ambience is pleasant and will definitely head back to try few other items on the menu.
Great atmosphere! But, the customer service is lacking in all aspects. I have been here a few times and unfortunately, I have had the same experience every time. The drinks were fairly decent for the price. It is a shame tho (because the interior is beautiful and the location is convenient as well)
The matcha latte was way too frothy and didn’t really have much of a matcha flavor. Server was super rushed and didn’t really have good customer service. Price was also quite steep for just a little mug. The pastries looked aesthetically pleasing though, curious about trying to signature crepe cake in the future. Hope to have a better experience next time.
I got a cortado and a croissant. Cortado's milk wasn't steamed properly. Croissant was cold in the middle. Can't comment on the other stuff, the cakes looked good. I recommend it if you're in the area. Otherwise there's not much here other than ambiance that would make me come back specifically here.
Positives: Nice decor, good coffee and excellent desserts. Negatives: took over 30 minutes to receive a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was absolutely slathered in a saccharine honey mustard that was far too sweet for my taste. Overall: nice place for coffee or pastries, but don’t wait for food
