First time trying out Goodonya and it was such a positive experience! Happy to find a good restaurant that is mostly seed oil free. I originally called and asked about seating for a larger group size. I was put in contact with their manager Kyle, who was very friendly and helpful! Great food, great service, and such a nice atmosphere. Thank you, to all the staff at Goodonya!
The menu had such a variety of choices,it was hard for me to choose. I looked at what people at other tables were eating and that didn't help at all, everything looked delicious. The serve staff were exceptional, making sure we were comfortable where we sitting and brilliant at getting our orders and bringing our food in great time. I loved this place way more than I expected to, from being greeted at the door to helping us pay at the table, everything was perfect.

The Thai salad is less a salad and more a meditation.. it was deeply satisfying. Pair it with the golden milk on a cold-ish day and you’ll find instant inner peace. The environment is relaxed, the people are friendly, and the food is fantastic. One of those places that you will go back to.
Love this spot- whether for brunch, an afternoon coffee or lunch with friends. I haven’t tried their dinner options yet but will be back soon. I love the repair coffee with raw milk, and usually go for their breakfast burrito. The golden turmeric pancakes are also delicious. Sandwiches and salads are great. Seed oil free; as local and seasonal as possible. Love the little shop/market next to the main restaurant. Cozy, fun, and good vibes.
I love this place. Was introduced to it recently and was quickly impressed by both the cacao and the fries! The cacao is delicious. If you’re new to cacao, think of it as hot chocolate but richer and healthier with deeper flavor and a free high. As for the fries, think McDs fries but with good quality ingredients. Turns out the classic flavor is tallow. McDonald’s has been using their mad concoction to simply try to recreate the flavor of tallow! Madness! My girlfriend had the smash burger (grass fed) and churros. She loved them. They looked and smelled amazing. Even the churros are made with clean ingredients. We will return. Especially for the cacao and fries.
Absolutely phenomenal cafe! I almost never give a place five stars if they don't have Wi-Fi in this place does not have any Wi-Fi but the food and drink offering are so unique and healthy that I broke my rule. The offer for bulletproof coffee versions! They offer an entire selection of hydration drinks a mushroom Root beer soda. They also have a unique selection of teas and kombucha. And I really appreciate that they offer an entire selection of zero proof drinks ! Breakfast is excellent with the majority of the dishes containing no gluten. This place has done everything right (with the exception of no wi-fi offered). Please consider offering Wi-Fi and implementing some type of rule that's something must be ordered every hour. We never stay in a place without ordering for more than an hour because we realize you have to pay the rent.
ORDER the gluten-free fries, you will thank yourself bite after bite until the plate is cleared. Ask for their Aoili sauce to dip if you would like to spice up the seasoning. Our omelette was good, flavored well, and hearty. We would recommend the gluten free wrap, any flavor that you choose. Perfectly flavored and filling.
Came for dinner this past weekend with a couple of friends. I had the banh mi vegan sandwich, which was very good and literally my only option as a mainly plant-based eater. I was really disappointed on how limited my options were. Everything is fried in tallow, all the sides including the falafel and churros! So, no sides for me except for a side salad, which I just couldn’t get excited about. And I had the fun of watching my friends eat fries, which normally wouldn’t be a problem.
Great food. They didn’t have the wine we selected of their own damned menu! They suggested a wine I feel was inferior to our choice and pricy too which was totally unfair. Great staff though, they rip you off with a smile. Nice place to eat and chat with friends.
Maybe our expectations were too high because of the ratings, but our experience was lackluster at best. Food was good, but not exceptional by any stretch of the imagination. Service was okay up until the food was brought to our table, but then we were ignored. Had to get up to ask for more salsa because employees were so engaged in conversations amongst themselves that they wouldn't even look in our direction to notice that we were waving to get their attention. We will not go back.
Service was great! But ate the driest and flavorless burgers which weren’t worth the price. We had the smash burger and veggie falafel burger. The fries were the best thing we ate, but I’d honestly head to five guys for better fries. EDIT: removing some assumptions I made about the vibe of this restaurant since it was so anti seed oil
The ambience and lighting is comfortable. Our server was average at best, not very friendly. My sandwich had maybe 3 oz of grilled chicken total. The bread was very oily. It was served with nothing on the side. Makes an $18 sandwich unappealing if it’s not delicious, and it wasn’t. Maybe we came on an off day.
I had heard good reviews about this place, so I thought I'd try it on my birthday. A twelve ounce latte drink here is $8 minimum, but it's organic and seems well sourced. I ordered 2 drinks; the first drink took around 15 minutes to arrive and then was only about 3/4 full, so I had to get them to fix it. Their credit card machine did ask for an initial tip, but I don't necessarily appreciate the compel to tip before service is rendered. It really seemed like this was something that affected the service I received. My friend was delivered his drink in good time and the people around us got theirs, while I had to ask for mine repeatedly. Despite this, we were committed to spending time together for the morning, and it is a fairly nice place. My friend offered to buy my next drink. Upon ordering the second drink; I asked for a honey marshmallow to go in my butter coffee, but they gave me a go around with it and told me that they would only do it 'this one time' because honey marshmallows are for hot chocolate and not for coffee. Did they really have to give me a talking to about my marshmallow request when it's an extra they offer? It was confusing, and didn't add to the experience in a relaxing way. The second drink was quicker to arrive though. The tallow French fries we ordered were, in my opinion, overcooked, very dark, and not very delicious... getting the "it's fine" review. I did my best to keep smiling! There was only one waitress that barely smiled back!!! I don't know all the behind the scenes at this place, but it was a very weird and disappointing experience. I'm sure others probably have had better experiences here, but I can't see myself going back when I can enjoy good service and organic food and drink at home for a fraction of the price. 🤦♀️ I really wish I had a different review to give!
First time I’ve felt compelled to even write a review, I have never felt so negatively after what should have been a routine order. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE, I IMPLORE YOU. I realize so many reviews are highly emotional and sensationalized reactions, but this is not one of those reviews. I waited 40 minutes and after that they gave me a refund without any food or any other sort of compensation for waiting (see the "VOIDED" on the screenshot of my receipt) after not starting my order at all because their kitchen is "a disaster" (their words, not mine). Do you really want to eat somewhere where their own staff says this about the kitchen? I love the mission but the service is unacceptable. Support any other local business and avoid. EDIT: On Yelp, where I left the same review so that the maximum amount of people could see, Kyle, the owner, replied to my comment to apologize, then quickly deleted his response, likely realizing how bad it looked to agree with my comment to people like me who read these sort of comments to decide where to eat. This is the mentality of the ownership: zero accountability, quick to hide the truth when it becomes inconvenient. I do not mind spending higher prices on high quality food, but there is heavy emphasis on high quality. I just want anyone deciding where to spend their hard-earned money to consider this: cooking your own meals lets you enjoy food free from the toxins and questionable ingredients and service found at virtually every restaurant… including, it seems, theirs. Also you won't be paying $30 for a burger and fries that you can very easily cook for yourself while getting maximum satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
I ordered a Spicy Chicken sandwich w/GF bread to go and was given a Pesto Chicken Sandwich instead. The restaurant was empty and they still got my order wrong. And to make the matter worse, the sandwich was greasy and super moist, so the bread was soggy and falling apart. I could barely eat it with my hands as it fell apart w/ea bite I took. Not to mention I didn’t really want to eat all the cheese as it upsets my stomach. Which is why I don’t order it in the first place. They gave it me wrapped in foil, no bag or other packaging instead of a proper to go container and as soon as I opened it, the grease spilled out from the wrapping and stained my pants. It was the messiest sandwich I’ve ever eaten. I was only given 1 napkin for this disaster and no utensils. I had to eat before a medical test and I was in a hurry. I didn’t have time for them to make another sandwich. But i did go in and ask if it was actually GF, since they gave me the wrong sandwich. The only thing they did was apologize for giving me the wrong order. Part of me expected them to offer a coupon for a free sandwich in the future to make up for their mistakes. $20 for a greasy sandwich w/no sides that is falling apart + $60 for a new pair of pants = VERY EXPENSIVE LUNCH. Sad to see great potential being wasted by bad customer service.
I have a tree nut, peanut and coconut allergy. It isn’t deadly but I am cautious. This was my first time here. I look at the menu and see pancakes so that’s what I order. The pancakes come and I take a bite and I can taste almond flour. I work in the restaurant industry and go to a culinary school. I’m familiar with flavors and could tell instantly it was almond. No where on the menu does it say gluten free or that it was made out of almond and coconut flour… I’ve taken a class on allergies and I’ve taken a class on how to properly form a menu. I have never in my life been somewhere where an item is made out of nuts and it DOESN’T say so. Just think what could’ve happened if I was more allergic. When I alerted the server he made it seem like it was my fault for not telling him about the allergy???? He said he will take it off the bill…like I would hope so because I didn’t eat it and it could’ve killed me. The server horribly addressed the situation and tried to get me to order something else. I don’t feel comfortable ever eating here again. Absolutely ridiculous.
