Where has this place been all my life! Lol. I've known about this place for years, but never bothered to try their food. I was so missing out. Their food is good! To bad Porterville doesn't have one.

The food is always excellent, however it takes them a while to get it to you. That being said, I don't mind waiting the extra 7-10 minutes for fresh made orders!

Yummy. I could sure a cold one right now for 4th of July! I'm talking about A&W root beer float with that Orange thickstraw! That establishment is always clean eveytime I go for lunch.

Food is good. Costly for fast food, but always good! They are open for Dine In again. I used the Drive thru. They have GREAT Daily Specials too!❤

A & W doesn't get the cred it deserves- so good! Staff was super friendly, burger was fresh and the root beer float was delicious.

We visit Exeter once a month, for doctors appointments. It's a treat to go to A&W. It's good, old fashioned drive-in fare. We love it there.

The service is usually great. It's usually a guy named Michael that helps us out and brings out our food. He is so nice and friendly. However this time a girl named Jamie helped us out and was incredibly rude and she also brought out our food and placed it on the table and left without saying a single word.

Amazing! Everything was sensational. There was so much flavor in every bite I took. #8 mushroom burger , cheese curds with the spicy pops dipping sauce, and an ice cold root beer. 🥰🥰🥰

Some quite a few years ago, I stopped here, maybe more than once. I really was in need of what I could get then. This, or, these visits as a customer/purchaser were sometime in or around the year 1996. Probably before. I was an advanced, experienced pilot for a Yamaha series motor scooter, insured, licensed, tagged, registered, and more. I still am all that, however, I am now age 53, and no, no vehicle, or a full hybrid replacement prototype. Food was really delicious, enough so that I am here, as is, secondswise in thoughts. Maybe someday, I could be there again.

Best burger I've eaten in a long time and onion rings were of the hook also. Great chocolate shake too.

Apparently we eat a lot of fast food, fast food restaurants keep popping up on my maps. Daughter and I love this Exeter location when we head home from Three Rivers. The cod sliders, rootbeer floats and are a great combo....(diet rootbeer for us, of course, so we can have cheese curds lol).

Made a lunch stop here during a road trip to Kings Canyon National Park. Crew was a little overwhelmed during the lunch rush, but eventually they sorted it all out, so be a little patient! Food's your typical fast food fare, I enjoyed the fries. The hard carry has got to be their root beer float, I went there for it, and it did not disappoint! Still chugging it two days after I reached home lol.

We visit every Sunday so my Dad can get his classic Root beer float. Staff is always friendly.

Rootbeer was made fresh. You can definitely taste it! The burger was pretty great. They used a bit too much thousand island (burger sauce) on my Papa Burger but it was still very tasty. Something about the way the burger, cheese, and sauce marry together. It tastes like an authentic burger. Umami. 8/10. Fries had a good flavor aswell, no hints of seafood even tho same oil. Happy.

I typically never decide to eat inside restaurants but I decided to give this a&w a try in Exeter and overall it was a GREAT Experience!! The place was super clean and employees were in top of cleaning plus they were SUPER FRIENDLY and I LOVED the overall atmosphere, brought me back to good ole days! If I'm being honest no other fast food chain can give you this kind of experience of being able to drink in a cold ice mug and have cool merchandise and even being able to buy a glass jug of rootbeer for an unbeatable price! Truly a fun experience for the family and has now become one of my favorite restaurants to dine in and of course you should expect tasty food as always 😋🤩

Stop by this A&W nearly every time I am in the area. I love the food. The chicken strips are better than just about any other fast food restaurant that I have been to. The staff is personable and the food is always fast.

Any size Root Beer floats are only $2 and come with unlimited refills (of soda, not ice cream). This was my first time ever visiting an A&W. I ordered a Papa burger. It was pretty much your standard double cheeseburger. The fries were so good.

Came here for doordash. Inside clean and staff doing their jobs. I got my food once after 10 mins. A baseball team was eating at that spot But other times I got my customers food within 4 mins. I havent eaten at this restaurant in a long time so I cant tell u if food is good. But I do remember their floats are not bad.

The frosty mug root beer is still the best. Good food.

The worker's at the drive thru weren't all that friendly or service oriented but the food was absolutely amazing.

We ordered Ranch and it wasn't on a receipt and then we asked Francisco for ranch again at the window he still did not give it to me so we drove back to school and had to eat or cheese curds and chicken with no Ranch. Well I like Ranch! Thumbs down.

This place has the best Chile Verde in the area, their Chile Rellenos are very good as well. I haven't had much of their of their meats other than the chicken and I must say the chicken is a little weak in flavor. But you can't go wrong having the Chile Verde by it self or in a burrito, taco or enchilada.

The food here is over priced for what you get but you can't go wrong with a root beer float. I would rate it as follows: 1 star for food quality for the price and 4 stars for the root beer float.

I forgot what the sandwich is called but it's piled high with 3 different kinds of meat. It's tasty; however, it fell apart at first bite. Not cool.

Usually the girls working the front counter are generally courteous, but lately we've had a rude, dirty looks and put out server, I wish I had gotten her name, her uniform was different from the others, maybe she was mgmt. Food is good, service is slow.

The root beer floats were great. The fries were fine. The staff was OK. But the prices are absolutely insane! Two large orders of fries were almost $10. A kids meal with 2 chicken tenders was almost $9! Doubt I'll be back anytime soon. So disappointing!

Seeing many positive reviews of this restaurant puts a frown on my face because I know it's likely just a bumpy experience the one time I had it, and/or it was not the same cook that I had encountered. The burger was very underwhelming. The vegetables were severely cold, to the point where the cheese couldn't melt (as seen in the picture) and it sucked the warmth out of the patty. On top of that, it was insanely dry, as well as the bacon that was cooked to the point of being inedible. It was unbearably hard, making it difficult to enjoy the burger as a whole. Their only saving grace was their fries, which were warm and perfectly seasoned to the tee! So flavorful! Maybe I'll give A&W another shot, but it wont be this one in particular.

It was July 4th of 2018 that after the Exeter firework show, my fiance and I went to go get a snack here and ordered a hot fudge sundae. Both my fiance and I witnessed the female worker take her bare finger and SMEAR the fudge inside the plastic cup and then put the icecream in it. Absolutely disgusting and a HUGE health risk!! Don't go here! I meant to make a review earlier on closer to the time of this event but at least it's up now!

Waited 20 min after taking my order for a float just to be told when I got to the window they ran out?! How do you run out of root beer or ice cream at an A&W!?

I have been going to this establishment for 20 years and in that period of time have witnessed the degradation of It recently. While the food is still the same the practices of the employees has changed a lot. Case 1: when I walked in there was a woman talking with the person at the register. I stood with another man behind them and waited, and waited, and waited while they had a friendly chat about whatever. I assumed the man I was waiting with had ordered but after a few minutes the counter person finally asked the man if he had been helped, which I thought a bit odd seeing how she should know that, being the person taking orders and all. Of course he hadn't and had been patiently waiting for the two to have their nice chat. After I had ordered I stood back waiting and noticed there were a bunch of small cups that someone had been filling with, what looked like, ranch sauce. I say someone cause whoever was working on this, right on the counter in front of customers, had left it sitting there uncovered where flies were having a field day landing on the uncovered cups. This is not the first time I have noticed this practice of doing work in front of customers that should be done back in the kitchen area. But leaving the cups filled without placing the caps on them along with the bucket exposed and just walking away was a new one. I'm sure this is not the first time this has happened seeing how it seems every time I'm there this practice of doing work that should be done out of the public eye has been going on. It stems from poor management in training employees to do work in a proper and sanitary manner. Back years ago this sort of thing never happened. It has only been recently that I've started noticing a degrading of service and cleanliness with this store and since it's the best fast FOOD in our town someone needs to know what's going on here.

There pricing is horrible for a kids meal $7.60 to only find a small lollipop inside some surprise. $1.20 add on if the want a RB Float crazy will not be going back. McDonald’s has you beat.

First time that I come and eat inside. My chicken sandwich was not good. And there was no flavor in my chicken sandwich. I spend about 15 dollars for nothing . I try asking for something else. And didn't want to give me a different type of food . So I didn't enjoy my lunch :( . Only thing that was good . Was my root beer drink.

I just bought 2 chiliburger combos no cheese i got 2 burgers with about 1 teas. Of chilli on each n 1/2 the fries you might get from Mc Donalds it costed me $ 21.00 i wont be going back anytime soon! Very rude when i asked if thats all the chilli they put on them!!

I drive up to the drive thru and asked for an extra large soft serve come turned upside down in a cup. When I got to the window she handed me this tiny ice cream cone in a cup. I told her I would pay extra or whatever to have like a extra large cone in a cup. Ugh!! I'll go to Frosty King from now on.

Asked for a cheese burger with everything on it. This is what i got a flat burger with meat and cheese only. Also fries were cold with way too much salt and root beer float was all ice cream

Ordered a regular double cheeseburger and they sent a regular cheeseburger. When I called to ask about it what I got was "Are you sure??" Really? I'm mad because a simple douv ble cheeseburger I'd $7.99! They then wanted me to walk all the way back for a replacement. Ridiculous. Also, the fries were soggy and so were the other 2 burgers. Worst experience ever there. Super sad.

Did this place change owners because I remember the hamburgers very good and tasty. Now Hamburger s are horrible and have no taste. They are served with shredded lettuce and shredded and the meat taste cheap. The burgers taste like those King restaurants that are out there🤮

I don't know what happened to this place when I was a kid it was the coolest and everything tasted good... Go and get food there today and the papa burger tastes like puke I wish I was exaggerating. My fries are over done and waaay over salted.... The freeze was good though... There's that?

First time dining here, spent about $15 on a combo meal. I specifically asked what sauce is available and the clerk said I could have ranch which I asked for. As I’m leaving I open the bag and just ketchup. This is a worthless establishment that should not even be in business.

Anyhow I thought I’d still ask, but the laugh was on me because they didn’t even acknowledge me. I ended up just going to Jack in the box to get a milk shake.

Our freezes were liquidy you pour them like soda. Our fries and hamburgers were cold. The coney dog bun was so hard I couldn't eat it. Thought since it took so long to get it our food thought it would be hot. The staff apologized for the wait. What a waste of over $35.00.
