Everything was excellent. Lively and Warm friendly service from Carlos!! And the rest of the staff. Pintxo were amazing. Self serve and just count the toothpicks at the end. The cheese cake was a definite hit as well. If you are in figueres you should definitely stop in.

Very nice Pintxos,good service and quick seating. Food and drink are for a good price. €2.80 per pinxtos when we visited and had both hot and cold and some cheesecake for dessert.

My review of Lizaran is easy — the best pinchos I had on this trip to Spain. They were creative, beautifully prepared, and really delicious. You can choose from a variety of cold pinchos, and warm ones are brought around by staff. The arrival of the warm pinchos is always announced with a little bell, which makes it fun and something to look forward to. A great visit!

We only stopped over in Figueres on the way from Zaragoza to Germany. The evening at Lizzaran was an unexpected highlight! The tapas are fresh and sensationally delicious. The warm offerings from the kitchen are passed around by the service. If you like, you can take something. You take the cold tapas yourself from the counter. The service staff are great and the atmosphere is pleasant. We will definitely be back!

A very nice restaurant with food is amazing. The variety is really infinite and the staff is absolutely lovely, welcoming and attentive. They cater to all your needs, and offer an additional variety of food from the menus that are just as good as the tapas themselves. Strongly recommend to come and eat here after a visit at the Dalí museum nearby.

All round a very nice experience. All of the self-serve pinchos are good sizes and very tasty (now priced at €2.80 each). I would say 10 would make you full from hungry. However, most of them are only warm, if they could be kept on a hot plate or inside a hot box it would be much nicer!

It's interesting that it shows up as a hotel and not a restaurant when placing the review. The food was good. I liked the bell ringing when a new round came out with warm tapas. It was one of the best tapas restaurant I've ever tried. Some of the waiters were not that nice, but all in all ..was ok.

Friend’s recommendation. Lots of different foods, whether you order from the menu, from the counter or from the waiters’ selection of plates that randomly come out of the kitchen (I recommend the semi-cooked foie gras toast). Salty, sweet, oily, but super tasty. Allergens info on the menu. Can get busy so perhaps a good idea to book a terrace table in advance. Great concept near the Dalí museum. About £25 per person.

Arriving in Figueres after a long day of delayed train travels, my girlfriend and I wanted to experience some local and authentic pinchos. We were recommended to go to Lizarran as the place to be. On our arrival at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the waitress that took our orders for drinks, as well as explaining us the concept of the restaurant since we were unfamiliar with it. Pinchos on the bar are self-service and cost 2.50€. Every few minutes you will hear a loud bell sound. With this, the waiter goes around each table, offering freshly cooked pinchos from the kitchen (they also cost 2.50€). The leftovers end up on the bar for self-service. Pro tip: do not stuff yourself with pinchos from the self-service all at once. Take your time, enjoy the drinks and good vibes. The fresh pinchos will slowly come out from the kitchen one by one, so it will be worth your wait. Additionally, don’t come too early in the evening to the restaurant, because the best warm pinchos and deserts come out later. Bigger dishes can also be ordered from the menu with the waiter. We had some delicious deep fried baby squid in batter! After our tasty chocolate desert, we ordered a local liqueur called “Ratafía Catalana”. I would definitely recommended it to anyone that enjoys good local drinks. Overall, we had an amazing experience. While the food is most definitely fresh, local and authentic, the clientele is not local (including myself). It is filled with tourists, but this was not an issue for me. The waiters are also a bit pushy with selling drinks and dishes from the menu, but not at all in an aggressive or annoying way. So it didn’t bother me. On the other hand it was nice to see how the staff was committed at offering fast and efficient service for their customers. I really enjoyed the cider and red wine, the tasty food, the friendly staff and the entertaining atmosphere. 100% would recommend to others! Edit: Beware, I came again the following day for a quick bite and each pincha and drink was up-priced by 0.15€, so 2.65€ instead of 2.50€ for a pincha! I’m not sure if this was a lunchtime up-price or what it was?

La verdad que comimos bien,pedimos de la carta el cachopo,que si llego a saber no lo pido, ya que con los pinchos ya es más que suficiente. Tienen fríos y calientes y no están nada mal. No tuvimos que esperar para sentarnos en una mesa,nos atendieron bien.

Sitio no apto para cenar, a no ser que vayas de tapas, el personal no viene si no lo llamas, la relación calidad precio es cara y el sitio agobia un poco, las sillas son taburetes bajos, detalle que hace daño a la espalda. Pedí una hamburguesa, el pan era 3 veces más grande que la amburguesa y el precio me pareció caro, los postres están buenos,. Otro detalle es que están rondando todo el rato ofreciendo tapas, cosa que perturba la tranquilidad de una persona que quiere comer sin que le molesten.

Estábamos de paso y hemos ido a cenar ahí; han venido a tomarnos nota 20 minutos después de sentarnos; para traernos las bebidas otros 20 minutos más, y ya luego todo los pinchos super fríos … será porque seria ya última hora pero no debería ser así; el precio es correcto aunque no volveremos.

No idea why this shows up as a hotel. It’s Lizarran a Tapas restaurant. I don’t know where the people before us have eaten their tapas, but this is clearly not 5, 4 or even 3 stars… We had tapas from the counter for 2,60€ and fresh from the kitchen and ordered from the card (see picture). Non of them where really good or remarkable. Pimentos where missing salt and some heat, the Calamar where chewy and also missing salt and had too much bread crust and finally the patatas bravas where too soft and where soaked in sauce. The tapas from the counter where not tasty and the bread was somewhat dry. Last but not least the atmosphere, this has nothing to do with a Spanish tapas bar. This is more a tourist trap and that’s why it does not deserve more than 2 stars. And the bell that announces fresh tapas from the kitchen is simply too load. The waiters have no feeling for when you are finished eating. You can certainly find a more authentic and delicious place in Figueres. Not recommended!!

La comida sale demasiado quemada, las tiras de pollo negras, el pan con tomate muy echo (duro) que están muy echas eso no se puede comer, todo es demasiado frito y cuando les dices a los camareros te responden que asi salen, el Camarero Carlos tiene un comportamiento no muy adecuado para una cafetería, con palabras vulgares y eso no lo veo bien en un sitio donde voy con mi familia y mis niños para cenar, tienen que mejorar mucho el servicio de atención al cliente. No recomiendo no es un sitio tranquilo para una cena en familia hay mucho ruido con la campaña y los niños pequeños se asustan!

Food poisoning. First day in Spain, we chose a tapas bar because of the high rating on Google and the amount of people queuing to eat there - I still can’t quite why. We went for the menu, not the pinchos partly because we couldn’t understand how it worked. The food was dreadful, soaking in oil and we all had terrible food poisoning. I’m sure there must be other places less well frequented and rated but better.
