This is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in DFW! The food is authentic and delicious!! We always choose here for casual dinners or Chinese holidays to celebrate!! Highly recommend!
I got the Sichuan pork. It was not very good. The pork was made with bacon (and the fat portion of the bacon) and it was sooo spicy I couldnt eat it (and I love spicy food). HOWEVER... the manager came over and listened very intently to my issues. He came back minutes later with a chicken dish that was delicious, coat exactly the way I ordered and was cooked to perfection. It means more to me that a manager is going to correct their mistakes than having perfect food and/or service. Signals get crossed and communication breaks down, but being willing to correct it with a smile on your face is worth 6 stars!! Highly recommend!
Tried the lunch portion of the sesame chicken for my first visit. Served with a small bowl of egg drop soup, fried rice, and a small egg roll. Everything was hot and fresh. The sauce on the chicken was a little sweet but very good. The price was very reasonable at $10. The people working were very friendly. There were several people in the restaurant and some were repeat customers. Already have my next lunch picked out when I return. A year later and still enjoying the meals. The food is so delicious!
This place was really a gem for Sichuan food. I had my doubts before I visited but this place has exceeded my expectations. The decors was typical of a Chinese restaurant enhanced by "white influence". I ordered a spicy beef noodle and it was very good. The broth was light and flavorful, with sour vegetables and the beef was very tender and tasty. The sautéed kidney dish was the star of the show, as it was perfectly cooked and easily the best of its kind that I've hand in DFW. If this place was closer to where I currently live, I would be coming every week.
Finally! A great Chinese restaurant in Flower Mound, Texas. This place is exceptional - large menu selection, large portions and yummy flavors. Large seating sets that can accommodate many parties, so there normally isn’t a wait. Service is quick and friendly. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. Try the Crab Rangoon, pot stickers, hot & sour soup and kong pau chicken. You won’t go home hungry, but you’ll be coming back for more.
Great meal! Had hot n sour soup and Beef lomein soup. The beef was so favorable and tender to the bite. Very authentic. Only sad part is that I didn't get the hit tea I requested. Food was off the hook and server didn't let my drink go dry. Can't wait to bring family for dinner. Thanks for the great tasting food!
Ordered take out.. first time to order from there and I can honestly say it won't be the last.. Give them a try if you haven't.. you'll be glad you did! Forgot to take pictures before fixin our plates and eating... but did take a few 🙂 I ordered the General Tahoe's chicken... it was Wonderful!!🌻🙂
Update 5/20/23: went again with my son and remembered to take a couple pictures. I got the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, and he got his favorite, the Dandan noodles. We split an order of soup dumplings, but I was so excited I forgot to get a picture of those. Seriously, this place is fantastic. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate! Go there! Yummy Sichuan is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant I've ever been to, and therefore by the logic of set theory, is also my favorite Chinese restaurant in Flower Mound. I've had a fantastic experience every time I've been here. Their arrival in Flower Mound was the answer to a quest I've been on for many years to recreate the experience I had in a hole-in-the-wall place in another state where I enjoyed the wholly unexpected "numb spice" sensation for the first time (I later learned this was the "mala" sensation unique to the addition of the Sichuan peppercorn, and now I'm addicted to it). I've had a number of dishes here, including the twice cooked pork, the dandan noodles, several of their dumpling options (especially the soup dumplings, which are fantastic!), the dry chili chicken (my favorite for that numb spice feel!), and pictured here, the Combination Dry Hot Pot. I've had other stuff as well that I've just forgotten, but literally everything I've had has been delicious. Why this place isn't packed at lunchtime is a mystery to me, but hey, that means less wait time for me!
I have been here twice. My first order was Mapo tofu. The first spiciness has little different hits, it gives you little heat, but not over power. For my 2nd order,I got N3 Beef noodle soup. It tastes amazing, love it. I do recommend y'all come and try it out. Like I said don't worry about the spicy and the heat.
The ONLY Chinese restaurant in Flower Mound. Loved everything we have ordered on multiple occasions. The staff are attentive and on point, you can even discuss and suggest dishes they can potentially add to the menu. There are a few dishes that cater to the local American Chinese crowd but the bulk of the menu is traditional and true to Chinese taste buds. That includes organs, feet and proper spice. Ask for suggestions if you would like to know which are the proper Chinese dishes. Hoping for an expansion of the appetizers over time to include dim sum items (congee/egg yolk buns/pork spare ribs/cheong fun etc) for brunch and breakfast, then it will be complete and no more trekking to Plano 😄
This was a great experience, food is served family style it is full of flavor. The staff is kind and attentive. I highly recommend you come back and enjoy this fine cooked meal. Pictured is a whole fish covered in chili oil and the chick and pepper hot pot the can is an herbal tea served cold. For two people spent $58 and it was SOOOOO much food so we had plenty to take home.
The soup buns used to be amazing!!!! That was one of the man reasons I would go, however in the last few months they haven’t been as tasty…like they water down or removed seasoning from the soup base. No deep flavor like it used to have. Regular food menu is really good. Everything on the menu I’ve had so far including the Dan Dan noodles have great flavor. Please go back to the old soup bun recipe so I can come back soon
This is our go to restaurant for Chinese take-out. The portions are large enough to feed us for multiple meals, and my husband loves their won-ton soup. We do wish that they offered more condiments like spicy mustard and chili paste, but their food is flavorful on its own.
Yummy Sichuan – Surprisingly Legit My sister’s been hyping this place as “decent,” so I went in with my usual skeptic radar on. Turns out—she wasn’t wrong. I dropped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The food is legit Sichuan: bold flavors, solid execution, and yes, a bit saltier than I’m used to—though maybe that’s just Texas seasoning talking. We ordered a few dishes and every single one hit the mark. No filler, no shortcuts—just real, satisfying food. Service was smooth and attentive, which I appreciated. Only nitpick: the greeter could use a little warmth training. A smile goes a long way in hospitality. Overall? Worth the visit. If you’re craving authentic Sichuan and can handle a saltier tilt, Yummy Sichuan delivers.
I came here for the spicy tofu beef and it did not disappoint me. The tofu has delicate texture, and the beef is incredibly tender, soaked in numbing chilli oil. However, the wonton is just meh. I was hoping for thinner wrappers and fresher filling. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for dining out. For the second time, we got yushan eggplant and spicy pork rib, feeling a bit different. It does not taste that authentic as sichuan style. Instead, it feels a little bit more Americanised than the toufu beef last time. Overall, still a good experience in flower mound area.
This was our third time visiting Yummy Sichuan and once again they did not disappoint! I purposely wanted to ensure the food was consistent before writing a review. Our absolute favorites are the fried potstickers…so delicious. The chicken or pork fried rice complimented the kung pao chicken and lo mein. The restaurant is clean with ample seating. The staff have always been courteous and quick to accommodate. Never a long wait after ordering which is a huge plus. Go hungry as the served portions are plentiful…
Chinese food a clueless caucasian would make. Do you like Dandan spaghetti!? Look no further! Seriously the noodles are spaghetti. Can’t make it up. Do you like potstickers when you order dumplings?! They’ve got you covered! They DO have potstickers. They DO have dumplings. They ARE different but it doesn’t seem to matter to this establishment. NO DUMPLINGS FOR YOU! Team potstickers! Maybe you get actual dumplings if you eat in. I’ll never know because I’ll never be back! Enjoy the potstickers! The fried rice was… warm? Passable? Eh. Then staff is polite and nice. I wish it made up for their food. Narrator: It did not. It’s worth the drive to Lewisville for something closer to authentic. I’m not mad, just disappointed.
