This is a great place to go for the Diner Experience! Not only are there plenty of interesting decorations and great music, but the food was perfectly cooked. There are tons of options as well. Place was clean. Staff were helpful.

A very neat place, like stepping back 70 years in the past. Healthy? Not really but delicious comfort food and great portion size. I had a breakfast burrito and it was fantastic. Really friendly staff as well! Highly recommend.

During the 2024 holiday season, I had plenty of time to enjoy my days off, and starting my mornings with a good breakfast quickly became my favorite thing! 😋 I've visited two different Mel's Diner locations, but only in Roseville, and I think this location stands out as the best. The service was super friendly, and the atmosphere was so fun with all the neon signs! It was raining when we arrived, and the restaurant was a bit chilly inside, but the food made up for it. Tasty and satisfying without any of that low-quality, overpriced nonsense. Sticking to classic, no-frills breakfast options is truly the way to go! 😋

Great place classic diner with authentic decor and we all had a great meal. The Chorizo Skillet was awesome! Huge serving and I ate every last bite and walked away still feeling good which in my book is a testament to quality food... Kids had great food off the kids menu and kids sized milkshakes. Would definitely recommend it as a family friendly diner.

It was Mother's Day weekend, so I expected complete chaos like every other restaurant. To my surprise, the organization and communication to be seated was a breeze. Once we were seated, our drinks came out quickly. We needed some extra time with the menu because our kids did not know what they wanted yet. Our waitress was more than accommodating and checked back in with us as soon as we were ready. The turn-around with our food and additional drinks were sufficient. The cooking quality of our breakfast was amazing! Exactly how we ordered it. I was very satisfied with our service and food quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Ummm... I've always wanted to go to this place and try the food but was little disappointed with the food. It's not that great. The food is good, the place is clean, and the staff does their job well. This isn’t on the employees. But charging $19.99 for a basic cheeseburger with fries is a terrible value. From an economics/business standpoint, that price makes no sense for what you’re getting. DoorDash prices are identical, so this isn’t an app issue, it’s the restaurant’s pricing. I don’t care how good something tastes, value still matters. When people keep paying prices like this without questioning it, places have no incentive to stop. I won’t be back unless pricing becomes more reasonable.

Normally, Mel’s Diner in Folsom has been a favorite restaurant of mine. Anytime I have gone in the past, I’ve been met with exemplary service and hospitality from the waiters and waitresses, but that all shifted last night on Sunday, 12/7/25. My usual is a meat and cheese omelette with hash browns, and an English muffin. My hash browns were severely overcooked and burnt, which I was upset by. That’s neither here nor there compared to the treatment I received from one of the waitresses. I placed this order for takeout, and I arrived about 5 minutes early. They placed my order in the bag, then as I’m handed my bag and I head up to the register to pay, a waitress by the name of Valentine borderline shouts at me “You need to pay for that!” I was severely caught off guard, because I’ve never received that kind of treatment from any of the staff. I was wearing a black baseball cap with a leather jacket, but let’s be frank and realistic here. Is that any reason to profile anyone as though they’re a thief? Mind you, I did pay for my food. I even gave her my usual tip, but I shouldn’t have. I felt deliberately attacked. Never in my life have I felt so attacked, profiled, and uncomfortable in a restaurant, let alone a restaurant that I usually love giving my business to. I tried to shrug it off and just go about my night, but now I have a reason not to come back. To Valentine, but more importantly to Mel’s Diner, you’ve lost a loyal customer. It makes me sad to even write this review.
