Avis sur Islands Foothill Ranch
Saturday night dinner wasn't crowded and service was fast. I hadn't been to Islands in a while and my go to choice is the Toucan Sandwich. It was served properly prepared and hot. I substituted the fries for a side salad which was medium sized and plenty of food. The meals cost around $15-20 each, fairly average for the current area. The atmosphere was nice with occasional Christmas and classic rock BGM. The restaurant is arranged so it's not very noisy and conversation is at a comfortable volume.
Our favorite casual family restaurant. We go out of our way for the burgers and especially the fries! Service is always good. We also love that they offer turkey burger swap for beef! We are pretty picky, and this place always gets the thumbs up from the whole family.
I came in on a Friday at 5pm, and wanted to watch the lakers game, the TVs were not showing it, I was greeted by Rachel and inquired about watching the game and she made it happened. I sat at the bar and Annie was super nice and changed the channel. I had a couple beers and was never pushed to buy more food, since I just had food at home. Overall great place to come and hang out! Thank you Island! You are corporate but still local bar vibe!
That’s awesome to hear! Ava she look like ariana grande sounds like she did a great job. What kind of service was she helping you with
This Island had the best server ever. The waitress that we got was on top of it and making sure our family dining experience was the very best. Her attitude had a home feel vibe and felt warming. The food was great as always. Had to get my usual, a Malibu burger with Bacon and Cheddar fries.
Island Restaurants currently offers new reward members a FREE coupon to redeem an order of chips, salsa and guacamole after joining their rewards program, and I’ve never tried them before so I’m glad I got a ‘taste’ of what they have! When I first went inside, the atmosphere looked like a Tiki Lounge with bamboo and island decor. It was pretty cool. The host (I didn’t catch her name) helped me with my pick-up order quickly snd friendly. I’d say the salsa was really good with the chips and the guacamole had a nice taste to it that wasn’t too overbearing for me. (Im still new to the ‘guac game’ and am slowly acquiring its taste) so this was a great treat for me. I’d definitely try Island Restaurants’ entrees and desserts in a sit-down setting the next time around.
7/4/2025 Stopped in for lunch today. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Dillon was our amazing server and was professional, kind and knowledgeable. We started with drinks and the nachos. Very good 👍. I had a chicken bowl and my wife had a chicken salad. The food was good and service great. Highly recommended Previous visit We stopped in today Islands at Foothill Ranch for lunch and decided to sit at the bar Hightower. We started with Mai Tai drinks. Zoey was our server/bartender and was friendly and efficient. My wife had the chicken nachos and I had the Toucan chicken sandwich. Everything was perfect and hit the spot. The ambiance was positive and uplifting. Highly recommended.
Service was VERY SLOW tonight. I had the endless tortilla soup, which I have had many times before. Waited a long time for our order, and when it arrived, the soup was just Luke warm. I was finally able to request a second bowl of soup. This time when it arrived it was hot. The cheese that topped the soup tonight was also different than usual and was not very good. We have always had great service and food all the many times we have eaten here before, so I am just chalking tonight up to an "off night." Hoping next time is much better and back to what we normally experience at this islands.
Island may cause excessive happiness and spontaneous hula dancing. The theming is so cool, I almost forgot I was in Irvine and not on a tropical island (until I saw the prices, that is). But seriously, the lunch special and happy hour are a steal! The chicken tortilla soup is like a warm hug in a bowl, and the salad is so fresh, I'm pretty sure I saw the lettuce leaves waving at me. The passion ice tea? WORTH IT. And don't even get me started on the drink flight - the Shipwreck is like a party in your mouth, and Jessica F's remake of the Big Island Ice Tea is like a symphony of flavors. Jessica's service was top-notch, and Efran, the manager, is the captain of awesomeness. And let's not forget the basket of fries - it's like a treasure chest of crispy goodness. Ranch and blue cheese, you ask? BOTH, please.
Fabulous service for the 4 of us. Fun casual surf/snowboarding theme. Huge hamburgers with a variety of toppings and generous amount of fries. Breading a bit heavy for my preference on tasty fish tacos. Took home 1/2 burger and 1 of 3 tacos. Bottomless iced tea.
I ordered the buffalo wings. They were okay. not tossed but just sauce poured on top. My bf had no complaints on his Toucan sandwich. Flight of drinks was good. Our waitress was nice. However, they only took our plates and never our cups. It was weird because I had all the cups lined up hoping our waitress would get them out of the way but only came to get the plate out of the way. With them lined up like that.
Lots of parking. Great location. It wasn’t too busy when we showed up, Tuesday around 1 pm. Waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. The front hostess was attentive, and professional. Our waiter Justin was great. He was quick, helpful, friendly, and accurate with our orders. The restaurant looked clean, well organized, cool surfer Hawaiian theme decorations. Atmosphere is very welcoming and cool. Our food was really good, tasty, fries were nice and crunchy. But, I am definitely not a big fan of their ranch dipping sauce. The waiter said that it is made in-house. But I just didn’t like it much, mostly the texture of it, it was runny like if it was watered down (This is NOT the case though). My wife liked it, it was just me. Overall… definitely a good place to eat. Also, check out their happy hour!
This is a super cute place. The decorations are adorable. The outside and inside is very clean. The tv plays amazing surfing the entire time. We were seated right away because they were not very busy. Our waitress did not notice us so we sat there forever before she came to take our order. The people that came in well after us even had their food. It took about 40 minutes from the time we were seated to actually eat and at they point we were exhausted from our trip down there. I had the Yaki tacos and on the menu they sounded delicious but I would say they were just okay. The flavors did not blends well for me.
I'm normally in the parking lot not eating at islands just lurking in the distance being a weirdo doing van life. Turns out life sometimes gives you lemons and you just bite it like an apple. Anyway, island has pretty good food. I will get there someday again.
