This was a great find. The employees were so nice, the food was tasty and the prices were decent. They were established to support their mission of feeding school children. I wish we had found this sooner in our trip because Ft. Davis is a breakfast desert.

A hidden gem in the Fort Davis region, don't miss out! Small and cozy place for gret breakfast. Huge portions, everything is freshly cooked and just delicious. Had the chickem fried steak breakfast special with great gravy, two eggs, hasbrowns and toast for only $11.99! Service was awesome!

We stopped in for breakfast today. Campground hosting until March at Davis Mountains State Park. What a pleasant surprise! It is a homey cafe atmosphere and excellent service and food! We’ve eaten at several places in Fort Davis and this is our favorite so far. What is even better is the profits go to serve meals at the schools in Fort Davis, meals on wheels for the elderly, food pantry deliveries to local and surround communities, book mobile for local and surrounding communities, and a training program for hospitality and food services with a certificate that meets the requirements of Cornell University. What a great service to the community. They serve breakfast and lunch Friday-Tuesday.

For such a small place, they sure have a good selection, and everything we have ever eaten here is outstanding! The Sunday night special chicken fried steak is in the top 3 we have ever eaten, and my Wonderful Wifeepooh is very particular about her chicken fried steak. I pray that they can get enough employees to open every day again!

We visited Fort Davis from the UK and had several breakfasts and a dinner at Mountain View Cafe in late October. Excellent food and all the staff were very welcoming and nice. A really authentic local place and we highly recommend it especially as Fort Davis is something of a breakfast desert these days
