We always visit this place when in Miami! The pork shashlik is super delicious! Very tender meat! We also loved khinkali, fried potato with meat was a highlight of the dinner! Highly recommended to visit!
Came here for dinner on my birthday with my bf, the ambiance was great and the food was even better. We ordered a couple different items for the table and were very satisfied/pleased. They gave us a bread for the table and were surprised with how good it was. We then ordered the eggplant pomegranate which was one of my favorite dishes (they didn't add any pomegranate to ours), we also ordered the garlic chicken, and the cheese egg bread & my oh my was it one of the best things I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone to try Georgian food. The parking was a bit complicated as it was valet & they only accept cash.
My wife and I travel throughout the entire state of Florida, and we are always looking for a unique dining experience. We saw this place listed as traditional Georgian cuisine and had to give them a try. We have been to Russian, Ukranian, and a Uzbeki restaurant, but we have never tried traditional Georgian cuisine. We ordered dumplings, traditional bread dishes, stews, and other dishes. Everything we had had flavors well different from Russian flavors. They were delicious and unique to other similar European cuisine styles we have tried in the past. They also have Eastern European beers and wine available. Our service was impeccable. They had some of the most delicious food we have ever tried on our many dining experiences. If you are a foodie, you definitely need to try this restaurant if you are in the Fort Lauderdale area.
celebrated my birthday🥳 and was delighted with the food, atmosphere and service! 😍Everything was perfect👏, thank you very much! 🙏🤗🤌You made my day unforgettable!🤩 I didn't take any special photos 🙈of the table and I apologize 🫣for the poor quality of my photos, these are screenshots from a video🤣, but the food is beyond praise🤤, it's a pity that you can't attach a video of how beautiful everything was to the review...🥹
Best authentic Georgian ( from Europe☝️) food. Just amazing, fresh, very very very ….. delicious. Stuffs are very nice and professional , my compliments to the chef 👩🍳 . Came back here again and again. They are the best in Florida I believe. Evenings they have a live music, karaoke. You should come with a big company, all dishes are big, not possible to eat alone)). Love it Highly recommended 👌
If you like Georgian (the country) cuisine, then definitely come check this place out. Our waitress was very nice, knowledgeable and curious. The food was fantastic - the best lula kebab I’ve had in decades! It is on the more expensive side and our check for 4 people automatically included a 20% gratuity, so keep that in mind when leaving “additional gratuity”, which is optional. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience and I can’t wait to return in the near future. Definitely recommend this place!
I gave Askaneli 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Askaneli Restaurant is a true gem! Pros: - Beautiful restaurant decor! - Friendly and accommodating staff who went above and beyond! - Very comfortable outdoor seating option for a pleasant ambiance! - Hookahs available for a relaxing experience. - Delicious food that exceeded expectations! - Visually appealing presentation with the food! - Refreshing fruit platter option for a healthy dessert! - Honey available upon request 🍯! - Karaoke available for entertainment! Cons: No cons to report - just an exceptional dining experience! Highly recommend! Follow me on Google for more ❤️
Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed eating outside. The music was fun. The food was well made. There was one dish where the sauce m was not for us, but it was well made and I’m glad we tried it anyway.
Wonderful place with an authentic Georgian atmosphere! Delicious food, quality drinks, and excellent service. Everything was top-notch — we’ll definitely come back! 🥂
I love Georgian food and have had it in the nation in question. This is one of the two most authentic Georgian restaurants I’ve been to in the US. The staff is just darling and the food is to die for. Very interesting wines and super recommendations make this a sure destination restaurant that should not be missed.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I very much enjoyed it. It's very comfortable, very sleek. There's inside and outside seating along with a bar area. Our waitress was extremely helpful and very sweet. The food was absolutely delicious, and I would definitely come back here again.

I did my search finding Authentic Georgian Cuisine Restaurant and found one in Fort Lauderdale. Called and asked who was the chef, I was so happy to find out that Master Chef Lali was Georgian (specially Mengrelian, because we grew up enjoying our mengrelian dishes). My husband and I were travelling from Canada to Naples, however we flew to Fort Laudable just to visit Askaneli. We found a Gem. During our vacation we drove back from Naples for a nice dinner. We met Chef Lali she is from Zugdidi ( my mom's home town). Her dishes were outstanding. Vadim our server was professional , very polite and personable both times. Prime location, beautiful restaurant, great service and of course amazing traditional dishes with unique Georgian Wines. Victoria great job having such an amazing team. Absolutely recommend who appreciates authentic cuisine from different cultures.
Yesterday we celebrated my husband’s birthday at Askaneli, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, and the food was unique, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We especially want to thank Maria, who took care of us with such kindness and a big smile — she was attentive, cheerful, and made sure everything was perfect. The owners also came by to greet us personally, which made the evening feel even more special. My husband, my family, and I truly had a wonderful time at Askaneli. Thank you for the warm hospitality and for making my husband’s birthday celebration unforgettable. Highly recommended! 🌟
The food was fantastic! Karaoke with Diana was great fun. Also, they have this Askaneli cognac that's out of this world. Expensive, but so worth it. Also the owner was super nice and made our night even more special. 6 stars!
It’s our fourth visit to the restaurant and we keep coming back for the amazing food. This time was no different. Maria provided attentive and very personal service. The wine list does not disappoint with its options. Great place for any occasion.

We came for a late lunch after going to a Broadway show. We were the only ones here except the staff, and it was just lovely. We ordered the Fresh House salad, which came with homemade bread That was absolutely incredible. For dinner, we shared the crispy chicken in garlic sauce (chkmeruli) with potatoes and pork (ojakhuri) - I will dream about it. Maria took care of us and she was as lovely as the food.

The place has a nice vibe and decor. The service was fine, but our server didn’t always come to us and sent some random guys who served finger food. The layout of the restaurant is a little strange especially if you pay for a life performers and you sit behind a big column that obstructs all the view. The food was ok, not impressive by any means. The shish-kabob came out not hot and tough to chew. Their most premium wine was overpriced, as we had much better for less.
Some of the best Georgian food you'll get in South Florida. The restaurant decor was outstanding. Only downside is that the Shoti bread wasn't that authentic. It was not anything like the shoti I've had in Georgia. Another thing is that I don't think any Georgians work there? I wanted to speak a little Georgian to someone but I don't think anyone spoke it there... Not a bad thing whatsoever, but setting some expectations. Good service, totally worth the visit!

I had mixed feelings about this Georgian restaurant. The khachapuri was excellent — easily a 5-star dish and the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, everything else was very mediocre. The kebab came in huge pieces, but lacked seasoning and flavor, which was disappointing. The service was very basic. It felt more like “tell me what you want and I’ll bring it” rather than attentive or knowledgeable. The server couldn’t really explain the menu or offer recommendations, which took away from the experience. Overall, the place felt more like a small casual café than an upscale Georgian restaurant. There’s potential, but aside from the khachapuri, the food and service didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Visiting this restaurant left me with very mixed impressions - on the one hand, the food was excellent, as always. Flavorful, well-presented, and honestly the only reason I keep giving this place another chance. BUT the service? Consistently underwhelming! There’s no hostess to greet or guide you, which already sets a confusing tone when you walk in. Once seated, the waitstaff seem to operate on a witness-protection level of invisibility - no water offered, no check-ins, no warmth, no personality. In a region like South Florida, where hospitality is practically a competitive sport and friendliness is part of the dining currency, this place feels oddly disconnected from the local service culture. I’ll probably return - for the cuisine, not the customer experience. But it would be nice if one day both sides of the house decided to collaborate.
I rarely leave negative reviews but this was the worst service I’ve experienced in a while. It’s a shame - I brought a friend to introduce him to a new cuisine from the region I’m from and I was embarrassed. Food was 3/5 and super overpriced for what it was. We spent $200 on 4 plates and 4 wine glasses.
The food itself was thoughtfully prepared and the Georgian chef clearly cares about quality, but the overall experience was shockingly overpriced for what it was. We paid nearly $300 for lunch for two adults and a child, with only a few dishes and no elaborate extras. For those prices, we would expect a far higher level of value, portioning, and hospitality. Unfortunately, it felt more like price gouging than a premium dining experience. While the chef’s work shows promise, the restaurant’s pricing model makes it very difficult to justify a return visit.
This restaurant used to be quite good, but unfortunately it has gone downhill. The service leaves much to be desired throughout our entire visit, the staff came to our table only three times. Dirty plates and cups were left all over the table, no one came by to clear them, offer water, or check on us. The food has also declined in quality; even khachapuri was, regrettably, not good at all.

The worse service. No one was helping. The food was below average and no one even asked how the food was or was available. Nobody was attentive when I asked to remove a mandatory service charged. Mandatory refused to do that for the principal and I have pictures to prove that the dishes were not cleaned the table with dirty with empty dishes, and nobody came over to ask if we ever needed anything we ordered dessert with main course still being on a table and dirty dishes we had to go and ask for people to come in and help us. And the waitress started negotiating and using and excuse that they were busy with a big party.
After reading the negative reviews I still gave the restaurant a chance. We came for my hubby birthday & had the same negative experience others had. Never again! Come at your own risk! Here's some advice: if anyone comes here to eat, make sure to order ALL your food at ONCE or get it "to go". The waitress never returns. Food takes extremely long. Restaurant closes at 12 midnight. We had reservations at 9:30pm. At 10 pm, I asked for a 2nd cocktail after waiting 30 minutes for the waitress to come back to our table. The waitress said the bar tender left already and they are about to close in 10-20 minutes. I said "don't you close at 12 midnight?" Then she said "I don't know". The food was decent but the service sucked. The waitress is not attentive. She walks away and don't come back. A 1-hr dinner turned into a 2-hr dinner due to excessive wait times. We were the only guests there. Our orders were very simple: 3 kebabs, 1 grilled vegetables, & 1 dumplings. They have an automatic gratuity of 20% which is why the effort in waitressing sucks. The tip is automatic. If you're smart order the food as take out. Dinning in is wasteful time & money wise.
