*please know I didn’t plan on leaving a review but after eating I just had to* 🤣 The music here is great! I got a carnitas burrito and man was it tooooo good! I don’t leave reviews but this place deserved one! The burrito is big enough to share with someone else, you have the options of rice and beans, chips and salsa or French fries as a side. I chose the chips and salsa and I was so happy I did! The salsa is very good! Taste super fresh, not spicy at all, more tomato flavor. I got a strawberry margarita and it was good also, I recommend asking your server for light ice on all drinks. Our server was very attentive! 10/10!

Good atmosphere, great music, the cocktails were delicious and had unique flare. The server was great about making recommendations based on our taste preferences. We didn't eat this time but the menu looked great and the food we saw looked delicious

Nice little Mexican place. The drinks were yummy and the food was delicious. The guacamole on the taquitos was really tasty along with the shrimp. Hearing authentic music gave it a nice touch and made me enjoy the location.

We stopped by this place basically because we were close by and I didn’t feel like going to davie for dinner! It was before the dinner crowd so the place was empty. It had two or three other couples but other than that, it was just us so we sat at the bar. Server was súper friendly and very knowledgeable about the food. I was super thirsty so she kept refilling my water too. We ordered a frozen margarita and it wasn’t for us. Alcohol level was good but the flavor was lacking margarita mix. I would’ve added way more lime to it. Food on the other hand was very tasty. We had the elote corn rib which is street corn with all the trimmings but the corn itself is cut so that it looks like ribs and not a cob. We also ordered their Birria tacos and steak tacos. You get two tacos plus a side of black beans and rice which came in a bowl. There was a lot of very tasty and well-marinated meat on steak taco. The Birria tacos were tasty as well. For dessert I wanted to try the Nutella taco but didn’t order it because we were both full.

When choosing to celebrate my birthday at this place, I couldn't have made a better decision. The restaurant provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable celebration. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure every aspect of the evening was exceptional. Had an AMAZING night with friends and family. Food is delicious 10/10. I really recommend this place!!

4.5 stars. Cool spot in Fort Lauderdale with very friendly and acommodating staff. Their salsa was made from scratch and one of the best I've ever had, along with some crispy (maybe too crispy even) chips. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. The only .5 deduction is due to the taco being a bit overpriced.

I came here while on an early birthday vacation for my daughter. We were waiting to go to the museum up the street, so we stopped in for lunch. I’m so glad we did. It was almost completely empty inside, but it looked amazing. From the outside, it might look like a hole in the wall, but once you step in, it’s a whole different world. There’s so much room inside with amazing lighting, decor, and a great layout. Everything was spotless, including their beautifully designed bathroom. The artwork was a nice touch too. We were immediately greeted by our server Andrea. She was absolutely amazing—sweet, personable, knowledgeable, and patient as we, out-of-towners, looked through their delicious menu. My daughter ordered the portobello mushroom quesadilla, which she said was the best quesadilla she’s ever had—super cheesy and flavorful. I ordered the carnitas tacos. I thought 3 were coming, but quickly noticed it was two on the menu. No worries, though, because they were completely stuffed with super delicious slow-roasted pork, red onions, cilantro, and cotija cheese. These were some of the best carnitas tacos I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly. If I had to make one small complaint, which another reviewer also mentioned, they were extremely wet. I understand they wanted them to be juicy, but it did cause the tortilla to rip and leak a bit. Maybe they could drain them a little before serving or double wrap them. But still, they were so fire! Both meals came with rice and beans, which was also delicious. In my opinion, they just needed some or a little more lime and cilantro added to them. I would highly recommend coming here. When I visit again, I will be 100% coming back. Some things I want to try on my next visit are: • Carnitas quesadilla & Chicken quesadilla • Carnitas burrito, Chicken burrito • California burrito with carnitas & Short rib burrito • Carnitas bowl, Buffalo chicken bowl & Short rib bowl • And finally the chicken tacos and barrio short rib tacos This might take several trips. HAHA 😄

The service was excellent. The corn was amazing, and I loved the pork belly the lime flavor was very tasty and well balanced. The margaritas were good, and the nachos were delicious with great flavor. The portion of nachos was very generous. I really like the decorations.

I went to Bandeleros for my birthday with about ten people. I had reserved a table online and they contacted me prior to make sure what my preference in seating. Once a couple of us arrived, they were so gracious in seating us quickly in our desired area outside. They had good food & drinks specials like the unlimited tacos and margaritas which included cute cups. So made it feel even more festive. Everything I ate and drank was delicious and priced well. Our waitress was friendly and relaxed but prompt in servicing us. She explained the deals and gave us suggestions. The kareoke was super fun and they let us sing quite a lot of songs. Overall the vibe was perfect for a fun celebration and will definitely be back.

Bandoleros had one of the best tacos that I have tried in town. They're small yet packed with flavor! One of the most intriguing parts of this restaurant is their great pricing while delivering excellent customer service. The ambiance was lit with a live DJ and a great decor and a slight flowery scent inside.

We’ve visited Bandoleros Tacos on Second Street in Fort Lauderdale three times now (most recently on a lively Saturday night) and it never disappoints! As true foodies who love Mexican cuisine so much we actually have a place in Mexico, we’re picky—and Bandoleros delivers. The birria short rib tacos and the short rib bowl are out-of-this-world tender and flavorful. My husband is Cuban and knows his way around chicharrones, and he swears the pork belly bites here are some of the best he’s had. The cocktails are fantastic, the music is always on point, and the vibe is fun and laid-back. You’re not coming here for five-star white glove service—it’s casual, energetic, and all about great food and good times. We’ll definitely be back again (and again)!

Can't say enough about how amazing this place is. We found it entirely by accident one night trying to find a place to eat before a play at Broward Center. It was amazing. Went back last night after our son's band finished up a gig with a group of friends and it was just as amazing as I remembered. The service was amazing, the food is off the charts good and I love the atmosphere and decor. We can't wait to go back. All of our friends said same. Highly recommended!

Amazing! Such a great lunch! We had the queso to start. Loved the freshly made chips. I had the birria tacos with rice and beans. Love the yellow rice and beans with some hot sauce. The birria tacos were so good!! Lots of flavor. We had the churros for dessert. Really taste. Cute interior with a blue ceiling and colorful lights and plants. Totally cute! Very friendly server. Solid selection of labeled vegan options that will fill you up. Definitely recommend getting the trio of salsa as well , some of my favorite chips ever. We ate dinner at Bandoleros Taqueria after seeing FAME ON FIRE 🔥 @ Revolution Live. Ivan was our server and he was awesome - efficient, helpful and friendly. My friend ordered the cheese quesidilla and it was very Cheesy! Ivan recommended the beef tacos over the Buffalo chicken quesdilla & I went with his favorite. It was delicious! Both orders had a side of beans and rice which were also excellent. Great place if your in the area!

The server was very nice. Good music was played. We ordered “cheso” for appetizer and I think it was melted American cheese lol. I expected Mexican melted cheese. The tacos were somewhat okay, I had better tacos. The buffalo shrimp bowl was good. Oh and the manco margarita was delicious.

Fast service, big portions, cozy spot with a few tables, bar seating, outdoor hightop patio seating and walk up take-out available. California burrito was massive and juicy. Like a wet burrito but without the mess. The side sauce cilantro garlic was sooo good. Jalapeño Tacos with pork were flavorful, tender meat and spicy as hell. I loved the fresh jalapeños but ended up spooning off most of the jalapeño salsa and using some of the cilantro garlic to cool it down. My favorite part was the Elote Corn Ribs!! Sweet, savory and juicy slices corn on the cob. Super fresh! Little pricey. With 2 drinks, an app, 2 dishes + tip (included) was about $115, but the food was good and it’s right across from Cloak & Dagger Escape room which was our next stop for date night.

Server / Bartender was amazing, she was super kind and attentive. Environment was beautiful however, the food wasn’t anything special, maybe it’s me because I eat a lot of tacos multiple times a week so my standards are a little high but also my husband has never ever not finished tacos and he didn’t here because he didn’t like them, his Margarita was more lime then alcohol and there’s a 20% service fee that’s automatically added. They said it is on menu. We did not see it but something to know for the future. They said it can be removed if you’d like however I feel it takes from the customer experience. We are usually very good tippers anyway you don’t have to force a tip onto us. However I don’t know if they get stiffed often and that’s why they have it and understand people need to make money. It just seems deceptive and ruined a lot for us. I probably won’t be back but worth exploring. The rice and beans was amazing though prices are insane for 3 small tacos and no alcohol I paid 32$ and then my husbands meal was over 40

I guess i just expected more. The ratios were off on the refried taquitos. I think the sauce kind of messed it up too. I got a black bean burrito. It was OK. Babe, got a short rib bowl. She said it was OK.

I was in the mood for authentic Mexican food. And this place does a great job imitating Mexican food. The food is good, but im my opinion it more Mexican style food. I was there late, around 1030, my service was not the best, but I digress. Staff was friendly. I have no complaints, just opinions.

The happy hour margaritas are delicious. The nachos are made with flour tortilla, and the cheese is a processed nacho runny cheese.. the nachos had a weird flavor like they also put mustard in the nachos. Not sure if they do but there’s definitely a flavor of mustard and I wasn’t the only one that said that.. the atmosphere was very Mexican Cantina, but a little floral overdone, and all the colorful flashing lights was a little much. What overall it was an OK experience.

Oh man, so much to dissect. I went out to celebrate my friends birthday. We were looking for a Mexican place and the nearest one was bandoleros. We decided to eat outside because the weather was nice. Firstly, the apps were... ok. The pork belly was not what I expected. Not the more traditional to make it. The nachos and elote were good, not great. We also ordered margeritas to company the food and yet again a little underwhelming. Moving on to the main dish. I'm really upset how one place can ruin the staple to all Hispanic food - I'm talking about rice and beans. They were flavorless, cold, and quite honestly tasted straight out of a can. With that said, the burrito was great, flavorful. The barria tacos and quesadilla were also delicious. To conclude, I've had a lot of Mexican food in my time, so the bar was high to begin with. This restaurant should not be rated as high as it shows. A solid 3 is adequate. I tend to agree with the lower rated comments more than the higher ones. I might give it another shot or probably just go to el camino or coyo.

My friend and I were in the area and wanted some vegan food. Looking online, we found this place. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is inviting. We were glad to find that they served vegan options. However, the food lacked flavor. We ordered the vegan portobello quesadillas and they were very plain. The side of rice and beans lacked seasoning and the portion was quite small for the price.

Great atmosphere but the music is a little loud. The food was okay. The drinks are 2 for 1 but they are extremely small. I was not please with the 20% gratuity for one person on a $22 bill.

I only gave it a one because you have to leave a review. We stopped by for lunch before our flight home having high hopes. We ordered two steak meals, beef tacos, beef nachos and quesadilla- which was the only good thing. The beef in the nachos and tacos were super greasy, our steak meals tasted like out of an aquarium i kid you not they were also super pink. The queso tasted like velveeta cheese. Coming from a family who absolutely loves mexican, I’m very disappointed. 180$ WASTED.

B
Brian Eberly

Chips and salsa were good. Queso dip tased like velveta was used. The “steak” in the meals tasted like fish and didn’t appear cooked. 5 meals cost 180+ included tip due to a party of 6. Would not recommend for a place to eat Mexican food.

S
Steve Spanno

I ordered a burrito thinking it would have a good amount of protein, but to my surprise it didn’t even have any meat it was just rice. I sent it back, and they brought it out again from the kitchen still without meat. The only recommendation from the server was, next time, don’t order a burrito.

D
Daron Davis

Rude wait staff. Bad lighting. Automatic 18% tip added for mediocre food and horrible service. There are so many good Mexican restaurants around. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

N
Nathaly Igarza

Worst Mexican food that I even tried. Chicken tacos was frozen inside, literally same taste as the one that you buy from the store in the box. Carnitas bowl and the steak bowl awful too, it tasted like the food was old. Chips and red sauce was okay guacamole bad too. Worst experience and all that I mentioned here cost me 92 dollars plus tips. I don’t recommend anyone to go to this place.

S
S Habb

Service was satisfactory because there was nobody there which should’ve been the first sign ordered chips and salsa chips at best were chewy and the salsa was nothing more than tomato sauce This is no more a Mexican restaurant than McDonald’s is a Mexican restaurant. Save your money it’s tragic, be ware. There’s a service charge added above the tip. 18% The happy hour is two for one, but for a $26.00 margarita that’s the price of 2 drinks. Save your money. This place is tragic

J
Justin Black

This had to be the worst tasting Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life. I had ordered the burrito and they gave me instant rice wrapped in a tortilla with black beans with no taste. My fiancé ordered tacos that taste sweet and had no other flavor to it, we ordered a side of their queso fries, and it was nasty. It tasted like fries right out of a freezer and cheese from the Walmart do not go here ever at all, I’d rather eat Taco Bell than this

R
Rafael Gonzalez

The salsa was tragic. I asked for queso and got worst than Velveeta cheese. Chips were chewy and greasy. Would not recommend this place. Would not even give them the chance to order a normal meal. Drove to Quvo and got a better meal.btw, there happy hour is a scam!

K
Khadijah Berkley

If I could give it a zero, I would after arriving there was a tall guy with short blonde hair, and there was also another white guy with short black hair, the Guy with black hair was vaping through the outside window and was very disrespectful to me and my partner. The tall guy with the blonde hair was very very rude and does not know anything about customer service.

Z
Zay Zay

The waitress/bartender Andrea made me want to get up and leave as I discussed the menu options everything was no no no instead of giving me options also my order came up to $66 and they automatically took $20 tip which is insane to force a large tip on the customer that should be an option of what percent you want to give the food was pretty decent but will never come back

U
Urja Modi

Gave us spoiled salsa that tasted like alcohol. The server lied to us about margarita happy hour and charged us extra. The burritos we got were bland and dry. They didn’t put any time or effort into our food because they were “busy”.

Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience at this restaurant was a disaster from start to finish. We arrived as a party of four, and right away, things felt off—our server brought only one glass of water for the table. Strange, but we shrugged it off. Then, he set down four drink menus but only two food menus. Okay, I guess we’re sharing? No big deal. He walked away without saying a word. When he finally returned, we ordered margaritas in honor of National Margarita Day. Sounds simple, right? Well, what we got were warm, watered-down margaritas that tasted like disappointment. Worse, the server dropped them off and vanished—never even asked if we were ready to order food. Eventually, we ordered chips and salsa for the table and our individual meals. Then, we waited. And waited. And waited. Thirty minutes passed with no food, no chips and salsa, and no sign of our server. No drink refills, no check-ins—nothing. It was as if he disappeared into another dimension. Finally, two of our four meals arrived. The burritos? Ice-cold. The chicken? Still frozen inside. The rice? Undercooked and crunchy. And guess what? We had no silverware, our friends were basically picking at it with their fingers. When we asked for utensils, the server walked away again—never to be seen. After 10 more minutes, we had to flag down the host to ask what was going on. The manager came over, apologized, and blamed the delay on them being “very busy.” Looking around, there were maybe ten other customers. Not exactly a packed house. Then, the third meal finally arrived. Still no silverware. Then the chips and salsa showed up but the chips were all broken and greasy. My meal? Never arrived. At that point, I told them to forget it because everything else was cold and inedible anyway. Management comped the meal, which was the bare minimum they could do. We still left a tip, because we know service jobs are tough—but honestly, RUN FAR, FAR AWAY from this place. Hands down, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had since moving to Florida .

Gave us spoiled salsa that tasted like alcohol. The server lied to us about margarita happy hour and charged us extra. The burritos we got were bland and dry. They didn’t put any time or effort into our food because they were “busy”.

Chips and salsa were good. Queso dip tased like velveta was used. The “steak” in the meals tasted like fish and didn’t appear cooked. 5 meals cost 180+ included tip due to a party of 6. Would not recommend for a place to eat Mexican food.

TLDR: Hair in undercooked food. Avoid at all costs. Full review: This restaurant should be ashamed to be “Mexican.” We ordered food to go at the bar. It took over 30 minutes to receive our food, which was totally excusable, it was a Monday night and there were several people waiting for pick-up orders. The bar staff even comped us a drink for the wait without us even asking. The AWFUL and INEXCUSABLE thing was that when we got home, our food was completely inedible. The rice in our burritos was so al dente that I nearly chipped a tooth. But the disgusting thing was that we found HAIRS IN OUR FOOD. Listen. I get pressure. I get busy. But if the stress is causing you to send out absolutely FOUL food VIOLATING HEALTH CODE, then you deserve a one-star review. Also, BUYER BEWARE THAT THIS DISGUSTING EXCUSE OF A RESTAURANT ADDS 18% GRATUITY DESPITE THEIR FOULNESS.
