The portion is HUGE for the price. The chicken was so crispy and juicy. I feel like if they replaced the bun with something more premium then it would seal the deal. The chicken is perfection but the toppings, sauce, and bun are nothing special. They could also experiment with more spicy options. The sandwich also comes with a side of coleslaw, mac and cheese, or fries. I chose the mac and cheese. Previous reviews said that the mac and cheese was really salty but it seems like they have fixed it since then. I came here at lunch time on Saturday and there were barely any customers. They deserve more recognition.
Family live. best fried chicken ive ever had. If i wasnt already muslim i would be walking out. I understand why they have a prayer room.
Had a great visit here. The food is extremely fresh, but a bit spicy so be warned. The standout is the service. For quick service you don’t expect much help or attention from the staff. But there was a new person there today and he was AMAZING. I came with some younger kids and the spicy food with a bit much for one. He was so nice. Gave him some tips on eating the bread and fries after each bite of chicken to tamp out the heat. He was so nice and helpful. I will be coming back just for that!
First time trying this place, and I have to say probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had in my life!! I had "The BigG" with a side of Mac and cheese. Everything was fresh and great flavors. First time I've ever had a fried chicken sandwich using a chicken thigh...and it was delicious!!! Also a very large portion, I was only able to finish half a sandwich, and I can eat!! The Mac and cheese was also above par. I am looking forward to trying other items on the menu. Great Job Chicken G!! One of my new favorite spots!
I ordered The Big G Chicken sandwich you get one side which I ordered the mac n cheese. Drinks order is separate. Service was prompt! The portion was massive, the breading was so flaky and packed with flavor and the mac n cheese was nice and rich! Definitely will come back and try other things on the menu.
Quite possibly the biggest and juiciest chicken sandwich I have ever had. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the right amount of breading and super tasty!
This hit the spot for halal fried chicken cravings! We loved the burgers with huge portion sizes and delicious sauce, as well as the seasoned fries. We also really appreciated the beautiful dedicated prayer area, which is lacking at a lot of other Fremont halal restaurants.
The burgers are really yummy and size is great as well. Probably the best halal zingers in the bay.
Food was great. I got the spicy Gs and my homies got the Veg G, crispy chicken with coleslaw and fries with stuff on it . The spicy chicken was crispy and delicious.
My daughter loves this place. She loves the tenders and the sauce. Always get them whenever we go there. As she says she has a full stomach till the very next day. So take your kids and get them whatever they want. Thanks to all Chicken G’s staff. Great place and food.
I had Chicken G’s for the first time in the newly opened Fremont branch .. it was the best halal fried chicken I have had anywhere in the Bay Area .. fantastic taste .. I had the combo but with just thighs and mac and cheese and Texas toast as sides .. everything was perfect .. the chicken was so fresh and scrumptious.. just as they advertise .. you could see it’s definitely not frozen chicken .. I also tried their chicken tenders which were also great with the sauces .. few suggestions .. they can introduce chicken wings and increase choices as menu is limited now .. Maybe rice bowls with chicken, chicken wraps , nuggets. They should sell boneless chicken tenders as separate pieces .. not as they do now only part of combo or meal .. It’s overall a great place to go for halal fried chicken and big shout out to them for providing a prayer area.. 👍👍👍 Must visit .. Will be going there very frequently ..
Their chicken sandwich is good but fried chicken is one of the best ..very crispy and well seasoned..But service is slow, it usually takes 20 minutes or more ..
When I pulled up, the people who work here were outside scrubbing and pressure washing the front sidewalk. I was greeted warmly and offered some delicious chai. Then I got my order and it was absolutely delicious and only took a few minutes to arrive. It easy to tell this place cares about the product and service they offer. I would 100% come back again.
Nicest people work here. Atmosphere is great. Food was amazing- the chicken has a super crunchy outlet layer and nice and juicy on the inside. Their sauces are unique compared to other chicken places, and more importantly they're really good. The garlic sauce was great but their other orange sauce was also quite good together. Overall I had a great experience here and would highly recommend! Halal btw!
Totally blown away by how massive, crispy and delicious this chicken sandwich was! This sets the new standard for a crispy chicken sandwich. Blows chick filet out of the water and it’s not even close! I hope this place stays open for decades.
Hand-Slaughtered Halal is posted on the screen and the website. We tested the combo deal and a burger, everything was super delicious and satisfying. As it’s a new branch it looks so beautiful. Sitting, lighting and cleanness are perfect. Mostly importantly they have a little prayer area which we like the most everywhere. It was great as we prayed there. Restroom was also very clean. Enough dining area for a family. Parking is easy. The guy working there was so kind and welcoming and he said the owner is Pakistani. Overall great food and definitely recommend. 🥰
I came in for an early lunch before I got tires next door. This place is so good, everything was super fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back in the future!
Best halal "zinger" burger spot in the bay area. Its what KFC in America could have been. Reminds me of KFC from back in Pakistan which is actually amazing. Serving size is huge btw, like the amount of meat in the burger. Love how they have a little spot for namaz in each branch too.
Chicken G's is a real authentic chicken place!!! seasoned to the bone with a tiny kick their chicken was crispy, juicy, and fill of flavor...The Mac & Cheese wasn't bad but it wasn't to die for i give that 8/10...That chicken sandwich was huge never seen a crispy chicken that big and tender definitely going back!!!
My first experience was a cool customer grabbing us all sandwiches in Mt View after a night of drinking. I was pleasantly surprised when they opened in Fremont, my neck of the woods. A bit pricey - but if you would compare five guys to in & out, chicken G is that to chik-fil- a. Both great for what they serve offer and price point (and hours! Chicken G open til 1!) These sandwiches are HEARTYYYYYY. Great after drinking meal or hangover meal or just when you want a great chicken sandwich. I can eat a LOT but these will def leave you feeling a bit heavy and it’s just what the doctor ordered. Battered chicken fried to perfection. You can call in and pickup - although there is a bit of confusion on locations and #s rn with the soft opening of Fremont. My first call in order was fine. This second one they didn’t have it at Fremont and I presume it went to my view although the operator asked which location and I stated Fremont. My wait was a bit longer having ordered in house (ticket time 12:11am food finished 12:35) but there were two groups of 5 before me and their online orders. Call in & let it cook while you drive over.
This place was amazing! I was not expecting the burgers to be as big as they were. I thought it would be a small piece of chicken since that’s what most restaurants do now. But NO, they put a WHOLE chicken breast in the burger. Almost all the burgers are the same price around $12-$14. They are definitely worth the price! We also got that player which came with the thighs and drumsticks. I got those cause I thought the burger would be too small. We had to take the left overs home. And the best part is everything was delicious! The chicken was juicy and tender. The fries were also great. Definitely recommend this place.
What a find! Recommended by a coworker and it lived up to it. Sandwich was way better than the actual fried chicken which feels weird to say. Mac n cheese was probably best side with slaw second...fries were blah. I ordered the "naughty chick" and dang, it was actually pretty spicy! Service was great, food wasn't quick but I wasn't expecting it to be, and plenty of parking. Give this place a try!

We got a G chicken (4 pc)meal to share. Along with an order of wings. All portions of chicken were large. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Juicy inside, crispy on the outside. I wouldn't want mine any more spicy. The fries needed crisping up a bit and the Mac & cheese was nothing special. The 6 pc wings are enough to feed 2 with a side to share. We'll definitely be back for the chicken.
The food is really good they incorporate a unique blend of spices into their batter and it really shines through in each bite. The one criticism is have is not them its doordash online ordering. Twice it messed up my sides causing me to not get my fries but doordash sucks everywhere. If your in the area its a top option for dinner

I called ahead to confirm that they serve zibah halal food, and they did. Their menu offers a variety of tempting items. I ordered the 'Big G,' and while the chicken was fried to perfection, it was incredibly crispy. The garlic flavor was unique and delightful, and the coleslaw on the side was fantastic. The only thing to note is that it can get a bit crowded on the weekends, but the restaurant is well-maintained and has ample parking. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving some crispy, flavorful chicken
I’ve tried the Naughty-Chick, the Bad Boy, and The Big G here. While all are good, I personally prefer the Bad Boy with sauce and cheese—always flavorful and satisfying. The Big G is another solid option if you’re in the mood for something bigger and more filling. The restaurant serves halal chicken, which is a big plus, and they clearly take pride in using quality ingredients. The place is clean, open late at night, and the staff are always polite and welcoming. Service is quick, and the burgers are flavorful and hearty—perfect if you’re craving something substantial. I did have one not-so-great experience when ordering online (the burger didn’t taste as fresh), but every time I’ve eaten at the restaurant, the food has been consistently good. Overall, a great late-night spot in Fremont for tasty halal burgers with quick service. 🍔 Quick Tip: Must-try the Bad Boy Burger with sauce & cheese; if you’re extra hungry, go for The Big G.

Tried the 'Naughty Chik'. Sandwich was good, service was good, and chill vibe in the establishment. The sanwhich was big with a big side of fries, reasonably priced. I recommend Chicken G's.

It is nice and clean place. The fried chicken was similar to what you get at KFC at the prices twice as high. I am okay with paying double for the fast-food quality food just to support a local business.
The food was delicious but expensive. If you want chicken, only the menu does not offer it. They also do not offer chicken breast or wings. All pieces are chicken thighs or drumstick if you want to chicken breast, you may get that with a fried chicken sandwich. The chicken pieces are very small and the french fries were not only super thin, but served in very small quantities . All food is counter service and you do not get anything delivered to your table. Napkins were hard to find the owner’s children were frequenting the kitchen which seemed odd.
Food is very well seasoned, chicken was cooked fresh, fries were sitting underneath a warmed when I got there. Both sauced had a great flavor. The pineapple juice tasted fresher and sweet was worth getting. Unfortunately the service wasn’t the best all over some change which they don’t keep in the register. If you’re going to eat here I’d pay in card or tap. They verbally talk about you in your face in there language.
The food is okay, not great but has a potential if they improve few things, for example, Improve the Bun’s quality of a Burger, it should not tear apart as soon as you hold a burger, add a leaf of Lettuce instead of smaller pieces that are dropping as you want to take a bite, making a mess, also add more deals on just Pieces of Chicken , like 6 pieces etc and make it reasonably priced. You guys can definitely improve but for now, it is just okay. Additionally, the Coleslaw taste bad, like old cabbage taste left in the fridge for days, either improve it or remove it from your menu.

I’ll be honest — the fried chicken here needs serious improvement. It was undercooked, and the breading completely fell off as soon as I started eating. I recommend learning how to fully cook the chicken and how to get the coating to properly adhere. Hope to see improvements in the future.

I ordered food from here for my family via uber eats not that long ago, the food was not worth the money at all. The chicken tasted and was visibly bad. Unfortunately we did not notice this until the last family member ate their meal as everyone eats at different times. But the chicken was literally slimey on the inside and everyone woke up with food poisoning the next morning. Do not go here, you're better off going to other halal chicken spots.
Chicken had no flavor, I was so excited to try pictures online looked good but I literally gave it to a homeless person I threw up in my mouth after a few bites, but the masala fries were decent! I will not be going back im sorry but not sorry
Service was good, friendly staff and pretty quick. Chicken could taste better though….kind of bland
Went in to try as a famous food reviewer grubwithmike put me on. Got a Big G with fries and sidekick with their pineapplae refresher. The drink was good but the food ended up making me sick. It wasnt bad overall but it got worse. I called online for a refund and the person who answered said i can come in. When I arrived to explain what happened. The person at the counter straight up denied me service and started to say it was my fault? Disgusting service and would not recommend going to this place due to their awful service. Especially for first time tryers at least make it right. Such a shame. If you want better chicken go to chubbies.
I visited Chicken G’s for dinner, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The restaurant was not clean, and the bathroom was out of soap, which made the overall hygiene questionable. The staff appeared exhausted, possibly due to long hours, and while their customer service was fair, it lacked enthusiasm. The food was the biggest letdown. The fries were terrible, the chicken was bland and tasteless, and the food presentation was sloppy and unappealing. It seems like there is no standard for quality at all. This was my first visit to Chicken G’s, and it will definitely be my last. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
The chicken legs, wings, and thighs are not fresh. These are very much overcooked. There is more flour than the chicken itself. The amount i paid i felt was just to eat flour. This is not recommended to eat as the chicken is not fresh. These guys have to work on their quality rather than getting profit. Worst fried chicken in fremont

The experience was really disappointing overall. The matter might seem small, but it reflects poorly on how the place is managed and how customers are treated. My order was number 12, and while it’s completely understandable that fresh orders can take time, I ended up waiting more than 20 minutes for my food. What really bothered me was that orders 13, 14, and 15 were all served before mine, even though those customers arrived and ordered after me and had large $50–$60 bulk orders. It felt unfair watching multiple orders go out, with 4–5 minutes between them, while my smaller, earlier order was ignored. Because of this, I was not at all satisfied with the way the management and the cashier handled the situation, and it left a bad impression that could have been avoided with better organization and communication.
Avoid!! The short version: Unsanitary establishment. Extremely over priced Underwhelming, disappointing food. Service is trash and the staff prioritize being on their phones instead of paying attention to the customers and building a “returning customer base.” 90% of our order ended in the trash. The long version: The food: Under cooked, overly salty and served in unsanitary plating. The bun was un-toasted and soggy. The chicken was under cooked and the breading kept coming off the chicken. Soggy, stale and NOT crunchy at all. The “special house sauce” was freezer cold with ice buildup, greasy, overly salty and inedible. The fries were fried correctly, crunchy and seemed to be freshly made, but it got ruined by the amount of inedible seasoning and salt placed all over the dish. The water, utensils and napkin station: Not a single water glass without stains. Greasy utensil holders and old food stains on all the surfaces of this station. The dining room: Absolutely disgusting, dirty, mould and left over food crumbs and sauce stains on the tables and serving counters. It’s a real shame, you have a “halal” sign on the window yet you don’t understand what Halal entails. Halal does not just stop at the way the protein is sacrificed or prepared. It goes beyond just the meat. It requires the place to be sanitary and clean as well, so that you Don’t get your customers sick. The bathroom: Avoid at all cost, it is a bacteria-filled hazard zone, even the faucet knobs were mouldy and nasty. The staff: Get off your phones for heavens sake and have a bit of respect for the industry you work in. Being in the service industry means, you provide a warm and welcoming experience. Perhaps stop arguing with the kitchen staff in front of the customers and discussing your next job opportunities for all to hear. This is exactly how you will lose your customers. Judging by how empty the store was during lunch rush, am guessing you will not be around much longer. It is surprising that the department of health hasn’t shut the restaurant down due to unsanitary practices.
