We came for dinner and everything was excellent. Food, atmosphere, and drinks were excellent; however, the service was exceptional! We sat in the bar and were not exactly sure who our server was, but it was the best service we have had in a long time! We got visited by no less than 3 or 4 different staff members to ensure we were good, everything was tasting good, etc. This was the perfect balance of attentiveness without feeling pushy at all. Overall, kudos to the staff in the bar and we will definitely be back!
All the people are so friendly. The restaurant is spotless. We had taco Al carbon and cheese enchilada lunch specials they were both delicious .The taco al carbon was especially tasty and moist. The cheese enchilada lhad a great sauce and cooked just right .The complimentary chips and 3 sauces were flavorful. An extra shout out to our waitress Olivia she made sure everything was just right We will be back.
I visited the well-known Molina's Cantina Mexican restaurant for the first time and tried their "Deluxe Dinner" lunch special. The dish came with a generous amount of food. After I was seated, a server brought over a large basket of chips, three salsas, and a side of pickles. The Deluxe Dinner consisted of a beef taco, a cheese enchilada, a bean tostada, a tamale with chili, chili con queso, rice, and beans. Everything was delicious. The server was very friendly and efficient. I also had the opportunity to speak with Tony, the manager, who kindly explained the different components of the dish and how to enjoy them. It was an educational experience for me. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for Tex-Mex cuisine.
I don't normally leave reviews but I came in for dinner tonight and I loved it. Great food and the premium margarita was delicious, are server was very nice and the manager Orlando helped answer my questions. I'll definitely be coming back
️⭐️ 5/5 — Fantastic Experience at Molina’s in Fulshear Molina’s in Fulshear continues to be one of my go-to spots for great Tex-Mex. The quality of the food is consistently excellent—everything arrives hot, fresh, and full of flavor. If you go, you have to try José’s Dip. It’s easily one of the best items on the menu: rich, perfectly seasoned, and seriously addictive. The Lunch Deluxe is also one of the best values around. You get a lot of food for the price, and everything on the plate tastes like it was made with care. It’s rare to find a lunch combo that generous and still priced right. On top of the food, the bar staff truly makes the experience. Glenjamin, Dioma, and Kevin are top-tier—friendly, attentive, fast, and always welcoming. They remember faces, mix great drinks, and create the kind of atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Overall, Molina’s in Fulshear delivers great food, unbeatable value, and a bar team that makes every visit feel like you’re among friends. Highly recommend.
This place just hits every time. This is our absolute go to place for Mexican cuisine in Fulshear. I have had nothing bad on this menu. Customer service has always been 10/10 from the moment you walk in to the food, service and check the experience is always a delight. Highly recommended are the Chicken Fajita for 2, with charro beans and corn or flour tortillas. The green sauce with the chips and dip are amazing. Top it off with a margarita and you will have yourself an amazing experience. This will continue to be one of our top date night spots.
Molina's Cantina truly stands out as the epitome of authentic Mexican cuisine in Texas. The rich flavors, vibrant spices, and exceptional quality of their dishes make it a top recommendation for any occasion – be it a family outing, a romantic date night, or simply a quest for outstanding food. The restaurant's commitment to delivering an authentic culinary experience sets it apart, making it a must-try for those seeking the best in Texan Mexican dining.
We dropped by here on a Friday after a multi-year hiatus. Staff was welcoming and professional. We got seated quickly and the chips, salsas, and water were brought out just as fast. I liked that our waiter knew the drink menu and what was available at the bar. The margarita hit the spot and, whew, I could only drink one cause...wow. Mexican food sometimes isn't photogenic, but it was very tasty. The seating area is huge but also cozy and there's a big parking lot. I thought the food was reasonably priced. I'd rate as one of the better Mexican restaurants in town.
Best Mexican restaurant ever! They have amazing service and always make sure you are refilled with drinks and chips. They have 3 standard kinds of dips that come as an appetizer included with your meals when you arrive and they are so good. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they are amazing. I highly recommend this dish perfect size and flavor. Our server Natalia was great. The staff is very friendly and the experience here is great! 1000/10
My honest review of Molina’s Cantina The staff: The staff members were very friendly The atmosphere: Feels like I’m sitting at my own kitchen table, that’s hard to pull off. The service: Average speed, which isn’t bad The food: I had the Tacos Al Molina (chicken), refried beans and rice The tacos are pretty good, the meat was tender and the taco was warm, wish the dish came with refried beans and rice though, but I ordered them anyways and they where both pretty good, beans where a bit thinner for my liking but it’s not bad! My final verdict: really good Mexican place, also try out some of the other foods!
This is a really good Mexican (tex-mex) restaurant. This being my first visit I ordered my gold standard, chicken enchiladas. They we as good as the best I have ever had, and not floating in cheese either. I like that in a chicken enchilada. The rice was light and flavorful. The refried beans were tasty but not pretentious. My wife ordered a soup, which she couldn't stop complementing. Service was fantastic. Note however, we were there on an off time and the restaurant was almost empty. In one visit Molina's jumped to the top of our non- pappasitoes tex-mex restaurant list.
First time there, it was pretty good. I'd like to know why tortillas don't come with plates here at restaurants in Houston/Katy. In San Antonio tortillas are part of the plate everywhere you go. I mean we (mexicans/hispanics) do eat with our tortillas. Then again i am yet to find good tortillas here in the Houston area been here 3.5 years. Back to Molina's food was good, charro beans were tasty, red salsa for chips were good, green was very bland. Services was great. Definitely will return.
I ordered takeout tonight combo fajitas for two. I was perplexed by the skirt steak in my order it was very chewy and rubbery and not the quality of steak we usually receive at this location. The fajitas were overcooked and cold and the rice had no flavor. Overall the whole meal was rather disappointing and lackluster. Ordered cheese and sour cream on the side, very little cheese was included. Very disappointed tonight. Usually our go to for take out Mexican, seems to be slipping a bit, and for the $ would expect more.
I want to like this restaurant because it's so close to my house but the food is just lacking. I gave this place a second chance after chalking my first experience up to a new location. The food was way too spicy. Even two of the three salsas were to spicy to enjoy. The rice got high praise from my partner. My margarita was also too strong and melted ridiculously fast and then I could see the tequila separate from the margarita mix. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere is perfect as well. Just wish their food was better.
I ordered some to go flautas from here the other night and pick it up only to get home and open the container to find them MELTED THROUGH THE STYROFOAM CONTAINER. Why are you putting piping hot food directly onto the styrofoam container without at least a piece of tinfoil or something??? I ate a little and then was grossed out by the chemicals leeched into my food…. Probably invest in different containers that the food doesn’t melt through? What a bummer
It took awhile for our server to come to our table with there almost being no one in there and then to also get my order wrong upon receiving it. They did offer to change it but by that time I was already ready to eat. Please do a better job next time, if I even do come back. Customer servicing needs more work here.
Molinas Mexican Restaurant offers a visually stunning atmosphere that immediately impresses upon arrival. The decor is warm, inviting, and authentically styled, creating a truly immersive dining experience. Whether you’re seated inside or on the charming patio, the ambiance is one of the restaurant’s strongest highlights. Unfortunately, the service does not match the beauty of the setting. Staff seemed inattentive, and it took longer than expected to receive our food and drinks. Even when our orders arrived, there was little engagement from the servers, making the experience feel impersonal. As for the food, while the presentation was appealing, the flavors were disappointingly bland. Dishes lacked the bold, vibrant spices typically associated with great Mexican cuisine, leaving much to be desired. With such a stunning atmosphere, it’s a shame the food doesn’t live up to expectations. Overall, Molinas is a great spot for ambiance, but if you’re looking for flavorful dishes and attentive service, you may leave feeling underwhelmed.
Well we tried it and no we didn't try the fajitas (yet). So first let me say it could be that they have only recently opened but generally I was not impressed. The restaurant itself is very nice and has an upscale feel which I really liked. The service was good but almost over attentive. God bless him, our server, he was way too eager and checked way too much. Perhaps since it was lunch, he didn't have many tables but it bordered on irritating. Now on to the food... first, I found the chips were too thick and the salsa was rather unremarkable (too similar to hot sauce). I ordered the verde chicken enchiladas. The wife ordered a house frozen margarita and deluxe dinner. So, I usually judge a Tex Mex place first by their margaritas and taco meat. And unfortunately the margarita only tasted of cheap tequila (I did inform the server the drink was not good and he agreed there were better options but he still charged us $7.50, its very small by the way) and the taco meat just doesn't have the authentic taste you expect. Their is a certain seasoning blend that you expect in good authentic tacos and it's not there. The tacos are not bad but just not for me. I also tried the tamale which was ok and I tried the cheese enchilada which was good but in my opinion the tortilla was too thick. On the other hand, I did like the queso puff and my verde enchiladas were good as well. So to sum it up, I will try the fajitas which most rave about but I will get them to-go since so far I'm not seeing much reason to dine in.
Sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and some food. The whole time there we watched Noah work harder than both of the bartenders (Santiago,Dioma) combined. We heard Dioma cussing once in conversation with Santiago. Heard them say please to Noah ONCE the whole time. Food was alright, drinks were okay. Overall service from the bartenders was bad, but Noah is an outstanding young hard worker!
Last night I went to Molina’s and couldn’t even make it past the front door. I was so excited to try this restaurant being new to the neighborhood. I past this place a couple times and thought this would be a great place to try. According to the internet and the sign on the door they close at 10pm so we got there just before 9. I saw people at the bar and some folks at tables. Before we hit the second door we wee stopped by a staff member and she informed us that they weren’t letting anyone else is because staff was short. It felt weird and targeted— why not just shut the place down at 8.
Very disappointed with the service from the restaurant manager. We walked in at 9:22 PM, and before we even sat down while we were walking to our seats the restaurant manager approached us and rushed us to order food, even though the kitchen didn’t close until 10:00 PM. We were very hungry, and the way we were treated felt rude, rushed, and unprofessional. We were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. Completely unacceptable. So I politely addressed the situation and we left without ordering. And went somewhere else.
