After reading so many horror stories of food in Death Valley, I was expecting such a different experience! You're in the middle of nowhere, you must expect the price to reflect that, so I can't fault them there. The fact that they had vegan options more imaginative than a sad salad and fries was promising. The pasta Primavera was nice - it was light, fresh, and garlicky, but the chipotle basil pesto pasta was the stand out entree to me. It was a little spicy, flavorful, and unique. There was a third vegan option, but it was beet-based and I'm not a beet person so can't speak to that. When they came around with warm rolls and butter, we asked them to remove the butter since we're vegan and Dani came back unprompted with olive oil so we could dip our bread. That was thoughtful! Moises provided fabulous service and along with Michelle sang the praises of the poached pear with vegan vanilla gelato, though neither is vegan. It was incredible! I only wished there was a little more pear. There aren't a lot of options for food in Death Valley, especially for vegans, but this is a place I would choose to go to outside of Death Valley.
We had a wonderful meal in the Dining Room. The staff was friendly and very professional. The decor and feel matches the rest of the Inn at Death Valley, historic and sophisticated. Our dinner was excellent. My steak was cooked and seasoned exactly the way I wanted it. The meat was tender and among the best I've had. We mentioned we would share the spinach and Frisee salad and the server served it on separate plates for us. Very nice. We also ate breakfast in the Dining Room with the same high quality experience. Highly recommended.
Nice place in Death Valley. Food cooked perfectly. Tasty. Service friendly and good. A little noisy. Reservations needed. Casual dress. Highly recommended.
Limited choices, but this is in the middle of Death Valley we’re talking about. Weather permitting, pick outdoor seating to enjoy the gorgeous views. Fried chicken burger was great. Black bean veggie burger was pretty decent. Sweet potato fries were perfect.
Not sure why the reviews are low perhaps the price but it literally is one of the only restaurants around! Gorgeous interiors and friendly staff! The monkfish was incredible, the pork chop was also delicious! Highly recommend for evening dining but make sure you book!
Only had the dessert and wine- but their desserts looked amazing We got the chocolate sesame seeds that was incredible and nothing like i have ever had before! The sesame textured base of the tart with the dark chocolate filling is worthy of 5 star bakery
Wow what an amazing place. We stopped for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the amazing view and great food served. Definitely can recommend. The hotel itself looks great however we were just passing through so cannot comment on the rooms.

This was my best dining experience at a National Park Restaurant. It was easy to make a reservation, and we were seated at the right time. Our server was excellent. The menu, had vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, Some local beers, and mixed drinks, and great apps (loved the Brussels sprouts). I rarely get chicken, but it was delicious (and all moist). They even gave complementary walnut date bread with the check! The atmosphere is really nice - It does take you back to an older, simpler time. We were staying, at the ranch property, across the street, but our glad we made a reservation here!!
We have stayed at the Oasis on three occasions. The menu options and preparation are far improved this time compared to past experiences. Food was prepared and presented very well. What had been a mediocre experience in the past has transitioned to an excellent experience. Mike, our server, was very informative and helpful and deserves management recognition. Food was served well. His wine recommendation was spot on. The outdoor dining was very pleasant.
Stopped by the restaurant on our way to the park and loved it so much that we came back for dinner! The food was awesome - I had the portobello sandwich for lunch and vegetarian enchiladas for dinner. The view from the dining room into the park is beautiful and the service was very thoughtful. An oasis in the desert!
Excellent VEGAN options. The enchiladas without cheese; the breakfast potatoes with vegan “just egg “ and soy chorizo ; three sisters soup ; hummous and fresh made pita are amazing! Can’t wait to come back. Admittedly I was worried about vegan options in Death Valley but nothing to worry about!
What a spectacular view to enjoy while partaking in delicious fine dining! Brooke (Florida) and Brooke (Indiana) made both our breakfast and dinners here a really special memory for us. What a treat to have WAYYYYY out in the desert!

Dining options in Death Valley are limited. While we were not staying at the Inn, we chose to go there for dinner, hoping for an upscale meal. I’m still not clear on whether we were refused admittance to the restaurant because we weren’t staying there or not, but they claimed didn’t have space for us, even though the restaurant was clearly less than half full. We were invited to sit in the bar and eat. Eating in the bar still lets you order off the full menu. The tables were small and eating in the bar seats was awkward. Our server was fabulous and made up for the attitude we received from the hostess. Food was decent. Dessert was amazing!
Breakfast was really good, and we only had a burger for lunch here one day. Both with really great service! We did not eat diner here, because meals were crazy expensive and choices were weird. (I know personal opinion)
Considering the fact that this is an oasis in the middle of the absolute desert, it is more impressive than one would expect. The ambiance and food were just average for what you may expect in a big city, but it was a welcome relief from the heat and dust of the desert. We enjoyed our dinner and then moved to the bar for a nightcap. Friendly service and glad we experienced it
Lunch is reasonably priced, fish and chips are pretty good. There is a dress code for dinner.

Fancy atmosphere. Friendly service. Pasta was my favorite dish.
Lovely restaurant with excellent customer service and nice views. The Inn has old world charm to it and provided gluten free and vegan options. Cocktails were delicious and food was well prepared. Had a kids menu with the basics: grilled cheese, chicken fingers, hamburger, pasta. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at the Inn at Death Valley and of course, there's no other restaurants around. Like captives, we are stuck with eating in the dining room. We didn't realize that reservation is necessary, and the first night, the dining room was doubly busy because their sister hotel Ranch at Death Valley was short staffed and had to close. So all their patrons came to our dining room as well. Although it was very cold, we agreed to sit outside as that was the only way we could have a table. The waiter was very helpful and set up the table for us even though the outside section was closed. We had Seared Halibut sautéed in Miso Butter on a bed of Creamy Polenta, with Broccolini, and Yuzu Soy Reduction. It was very good. The breakfast server wasn't has courteous to me anyways, may be because of my gluten free problem. We both ordered steel cut oats. My partner ordered fruit and date bread as well. I had problems with my steel cut oats. We made reservations for dinner. The dining room was not open for lunch. For our evening meal, we ordered Grilled Salmon, and Ariline Chicken Breast. I had the chicken breast, and it was one of the driest and most over-cooked deep fried chicken I had. The baked sweet potato was OK, The broccolini was tough. I'm really glad we only stayed for three nights as we've tried everything we could possibly order since we don't eat red meat. The halibut and salmon is a 4.3 stars, my chicken is a 1 star, date bread is 4 stars, my steel cut oats was 1 star. The service on the first night was exceptional, 5 stars, the service at breakfast was 2 stars, and the service for the second night was a 3 stars.

The place had potential, but the food they have available is not great. For the only food around, they should make everything better tasting and fresh. The best thing I had was the drinks. We had 3 days 2 nights, and we decided to eat at the Ranch the following days.
Disappointed. For a $200 meal (one salad, one starter, two meals, and two drinks) we were disappointed. Sat for 10 minutes near the end of our meal with empty water glasses and never did get a refill. Would have liked more bread, but once our food was served, nobody ever checked back with us. When I made the reservation online, I noted that we were celebrating a birthday. After we were seated I asked the hostess if they do anything special for birthdays. I was told we’d get a free dessert and that they would be sure to let our server know. Never received a dessert of any kind. We will not return or recommend to anyone.

This had to be the worst breakfast I ever had. It's an overpriced $21 buffet. The mixed fruit had watermelon that was close to being rotten. The scrambled eggs and home fries were very old and almost gone. The grossest thing was the serving spoon handles in the food. A clear health concern. They put fresh eggs out but they were very old too, dried up, browned and rubbery. Not edible. The apple and cranberry juices were empty. Very disappointing.
