The sweetest lady helped us and the donuts were delicious. 100 times better than the "other place" that's drive thru only. We'll be stopping by from now on, and I recommend you do the same
The donuts are way too good. I know that's the point, but man! We did a dozen assorted and every one of them was just as good as the other. This is definitely going to on my favorites list on the island!
We came to the Island for a getaway and I jst googled donut shops and this was the closest to me. This donut shop didnt disappoint. Great donuts and delicious coffee.
Was staying in Galveston for the weekend and had the job of supplying breakfast for the crew. This spot was exactly what I was looking for. Yummy crossainwiches, biscuit sandwiches, kolaches, donuts, and other pastries like apple fritters and donuts. Had just the variety I was looking for with friendly, fast service. Thanks so much, will be seeing you again for next year's Galveston trip!
Glad to have found this place on a family getaway to Galveston. We tried a variety of donuts and all agreed that the chocolate iced yeast donuts are the best!
Visiting the island for spring break, like on all trips, we had to get donuts from a local place. Home Cut was close to our Airbnb, and a local joint, so we decided to try them out. It was a great choice. Light, airy raised donuts with a nice snap to them when you take a bite and moist, dense cake donuts. We loved all the different flavors we got. My 8 year old had 3 of them! Great way to start our day.
We stopped here during our visit to Galveston. The location is perfect, it was a short distance from our hotel. We stopped in for donuts and coffee. The inside was closed due to staffing but we were able to get them to go. They had a limited amount of donuts left as it was around noon. The donuts we tried were delicious and the coffee was nice and hot. The staff was nice and friendly.
If the couple that runs this place weren’t so nice I would’ve left. Coming to the drive thru in a rush was no good. They didn’t have the things we tried to order so we settled for whatever they offered to get some time back. My wife liked the boudin kolache.
We're used to the original Homecut Donuts in Joliet, IL. Homecut, in Galveston is good, better than other donut shops we've tried locally. The red raspberry filled is the best, and the kolaches are really good too!
They used to be cheaper and have good food. But their salsa for their burritos are super watered down and I just had my favorite apple spice filled donut that now for the third time barely had filling. I hate having to pay for a filled donut that isn't filled. I ate over half the donut and there was no apple filling through it. The very end probably had two teaspoons full. Glad I at least had two good bites out of it. The price went up on some things too. This is the closest donut shop to my house but thinking I might have to drive further down to try something else. The older lady that's super sweet is the only reason why I go there. And the apple spice donuts(which now isn't worth it) Everyone else is rude
I’m giving one star because of dishonesty. When I asked for my total and the woman checking me out, Scarlet, told me $15, and I get a notification from my bank instantly that it was nearly 19$- I immediately asked why. She told me “it’s the credit card fee.” Okay first of all , I work in the food service industry- and I almost never leave bad reviews, also, it’s pretty hard to upset me in any dining experience… long wait? Cool. Wrong order, also cool. But complete dishonesty regarding what you’re about to charge me- not cool. And when I asked her why she did not disclose to me the almost 4 dollar credit card fee when I asked her for my total, she told me it was because she did not know if I was going to be charged a fee until after she put in my total… Now typically it establishments you are charged a credit card processing fee when you spend less than $5… And this woman just told me that the processing fee for the credit card machine changes based on the transaction I guess… Won’t be coming here again
Rude, arrogant, petty people with an attitude. Poor service. I don't recommend this place. Food is served cold they nuke your food IF you ask.... It's never warm, even at 7 am. They serve small over-priced portions. They charge a fee to use a debit\credit card to pay, it changes depending on whose behind the counter. They won't mention that there will be one. The level of customer service you will receive depends on your clothes and how many people are with you.
