One evening, while looking for a restaurant in Pegli, we stumbled upon Il Porticciuolo, a truly charming and welcoming place. We ate fish: shrimp cocktail, mussels with pepper, fish fillet with potatoes, and mixed fried fish—all delicious, fresh, and served in generous portions. Perhaps I would have liked a few more mussels 😊, but overall, we were very satisfied. I'll definitely be back!

Food is great. They dont speak english. Authentic italian place run by an old guy and family. Bends over backwards to be great. Look up the photos from the google menu and point. Food is first class. Loved the fish. If he reads this, do love the painting. Memory of the time there. Thanks!

We had dinner with the family. The only dish we liked was the pizza. The schnitzel (cutlet) was unsalted and unseasoned, tasteless. The beef steak was also unsalted and unseasoned, not tasty at all. We waited a very long time for our food and were very hungry because the first waiter took our order and got lost. However, the second waiter, an older gentleman, was very kind and friendly and helped us with our order and the food. Thank you so much to him!

An excellent, typical Ligurian restaurant discovered by chance, but the dishes are truly exceptional, just steps from the sea. The fish is excellent. The only shame is that the service is a bit slow, but the staff are very friendly.

The mixed seafood appetizer was excellent. The place isn't worth much, poorly maintained and stuffy; very hot. But the service is excellent, friendly, and fast (perhaps too fast, risking being rushed because there was only one waiter). The food isn't bad: nothing special, nothing terrible. Not bad, in short, but I wouldn't want to go back, especially since €35 a person isn't worth it.

Bello il posto, anche se i posti con vista mare sono limitati. Aperitivo mediocre, ok le bevande, meno bene il mangiare. Il servizio invece ci ha lasciati molto perplessi, con la ragazza (capelli neri, piccoletta, piena di tatuaggi) che aveva un codice tutto suo che ci ha un po' interdetto. Esempi: "Ragazzi il posto si libera tra mezz'ora minimo, vi conviene fare un giro..." al che noi: "E se aspettiamo qui?" Lei fa spallucce. Dopo neanche 5 minuti si liberano ben 2 tavoli... Ci seriamo. Ordiniamo. Dopo un po' che stiamo facendo la consumazione viene a chiedere: "Tutto a posto ragazzi?" Risposta: "Sì grazie". E ci porta via il piatto degli stuzzichini non ancora finiti. Al ns disappunto ci replica: "Era il mio codice usuale per chiedere se posso portare via!". Quando poi chiediamo se possiamo ordinare altro risponde: "Pensateci ancora un po' ragazzi, se poi proprio volete altro allora tra un po' poi ripasso" al che chiediamo il conto: "Ah dovete pagare? A me?" Quasi quasi eravamo tentati di di non farlo!!! L'onestà ha prevalso, ma sicuramente il servizio merita 1 stella!

The seafood appetizer was okay, but nothing special. The trofie al pesto Genovese was very good (it was the only thing I'd recommend from what I ordered). The agnolotti was good, the fritto del Golfo was just okay, and the chicken cutlets were terrible—very thin, almost all breaded, and with a strong taste of used frying oil. The service was correct and very friendly, but we felt the overall price of the meal was excessive for the quality.

Posto bellissimo ma servizio e soprattutto cibo onestamente non all'altezza del prezzo che abbiamo pagato, 19 euro per un piatto di spaghetti precotti sono un po' tanti in una trattoria da 14 euro a menù fisso ne ho mangiati di meglio sicuramente da evitare.

Servizio scadende 5 camerieri ci hanno ignorato per un ora, quando li chiamavamo è stato un continuo “adesso arrivo” e quando finalmente qualcuno ha preso il nostro ordine ha deciso da dare la colpa a noi senza nemmeno pulire il tavolo lasciato sporco dalle persone prima. Sconglio di andare se trovate il locale pieno. Non lo sanno gestire.

Questo locale è stato il classico esempio di quando una bella location non basta a salvare la serata. Servizio lentissimo!! Mezz ora per prendere ordinazione e almeno altrettanto per portare i cocktail. Il servizio (pagato a parte) con gli stuzzichini veramente misero, ma ancor peggio arrivato anche questo con tempi lunghissimi e molto dopo il servizio drink. Sinceramente non ci andrò mai più

We ordered pansoti with walnut sauce and trofie with pesto to go. Once we arrived, he told us the pansoti were out of stock and made us gnocchi (without asking, we'd only gone there for that). Unfortunately, the sauce was just cream, so you couldn't taste the walnuts. The trofie with the worst pesto I've ever had was with mashed potatoes. Then he kindly said, "Come on, let's make it €20," as if he were doing us a favor. After checking, we realized we should have spent €19, and that's a stuffed pasta, not an inedible gnocchi. Perhaps before placing an order, you should check that you actually have the ingredients on hand. At least, you should let the customer know when you notice the mistake, first and last time.

Unfortunately, it was an experience to forget. We sat down, and the waitress came over shortly after to ask us what we wanted to order, without even having been given the menu. Oh well, it happens. I asked for fish ravioli, but unfortunately they don't have them. That too, oh well, it happens everywhere. So I asked for paccheri with beef ragù. The waitress left, and then came back saying they didn't have them. Oh well, it happens too. Then I asked for pansoti with walnut sauce. They didn't have those either. At this point, I decided to order a second course. I asked for a tagliata with arugula and parmesan. They didn't have it. It turns out they don't have any meat-based dishes, but they just left them on the menu anyway. As for what we ordered: raw frisceau, pasta with pesto with more oil than pesto, and a rubbery, flavorless fritto misto. The menu also listed "a wide variety of desserts" (as you can see from the photo I uploaded): there are two, tiramisu and panna cotta. It's a real shame, as the restaurant was excellent years ago, but the change of management has completely ruined it. Please avoid.
