Great theatre 🎥 play "A view from a bridge " Very funny and movingly personal a play to myself having children myself. I don't drink however it's just based across from Maggies Bar in the trongate area pictured.

Went to my first pantomime there and I loved it . Thought the seating area was fantastic, not a bad seat in the house . When I bought my ticket , I had three price options , which was also brilliant . Also I got several texts to remind me , what time and day I was booked for My only disappointment was and it's trivial , I looked at the new 2025 brochure and there was very little on for my liking .

Marvellous intimate space set in an old church and centrally located. Nice, reasonably priced facility for food and drink but plenty of local options too. Sold out the night we went so a good atmosphere but I have the impression that this will always be the case.

Amazing afternoon showing of Wizard of oz today. Great laughs all the way through performance. All actors brought their talents and quirkiness to each part. What a show. Highly recommend

I absolutely adore the Tron, their Pantomimes are exquisite, their plays are so so well constructed & performed by the Writers & Actors. The venue is just totally gorge. The food is amazing, great Veggie range & drink selection is outstanding. The Staff cater to your needs & it's a great place to pop along to see a Play, go for a bite to eat & perfect date Venue with friends & family or your significant other. I just absolutely adore it. I'd live there if i could!! Maybe i will actually!!

By far the best Theatre you will find in Glasgow- it has everything you could ever want , beautiful restaurant with excellent quality and tasty food , a great wee bar with a fantastic selection of alcohol and then there's the theatre itself - a wonderful warm and comfortable place to lose yourself. I absolutely love this place.

Love this little theatre. Also the adjoining Bistro 'Set!' has great GF options which is always great for me. This time we went to see 'Cyprus Avenue',only because we had seen David Hayman, who plays Eric, at Òran Mór a few months ago and he mentioned he was doing it. So glad we did.

This review pertains to the Saturday morning kids activities which the Tron hosts: Tiny Tales (0-2 yrs ) and Tall Tales (2-4 yrs). I have been to both, having a ~1 yr old and a ~3 yr old. These sessions are interactive story sessions, which aim to stimulate kids' imagination with stories, singing and use of various props to bring the story to life. My children love the sessions and we always have great fun. The cost per session is great value (you buy a ticket for the child, and then up to 2 adults can accompany them). The staff who run the sessions are wonderful and are very good with the children (I wish I had their patience). My older daughter can be quite shy, but they always make time for her and coax her to participate. In a group of children, there will always be a range of personalities and abilities, but the staff make sure everyone is included and that everyone "gets a shot" of whatever activities are on the go. The size of the group can vary from small to large, but the staff always put the same great effort in, which is appreciated. I work full time Mon-Fri and so I am grateful for the opportunity to take my kids to a Saturday morning activity like this, where we can have fun and spend some time together. I find most parent-child activity sessions in society are weekday events and so some parents (especially fathers) can miss out. So, well done to the Tron for having such great weekend activities which are accessible to all parents.

Many years since my husband and I have been at a panto. Just returned from the 10:30 performance of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Theatre load of school kids added to the panto atmosphere. Johnny McKnight is a total genius! Wonderful writer, actor, singer, dancer- he’s got it all! One minor “complaint” - couldn’t make out Katie Barnett at all- don’t know whether it was the accent, diction or falsetto voice.Pity because we couldn’t catch Johnny’ s wonderful script and lyrics when she spoke/ sang!

Went to a matinee of "View from the Bridge". I was front row main auditorium. Great view, but limited legroom. I love the intimacy of the Tron. The play was packed, but still has that intimate feeling of a small theatre. There is a bar/cafe attached with some outdoor seating too...a waiting area in the main foyer with a few seats benches. Helpful staff. Enjoyed the play and venue immensely.

Have visited this venue on numerous occasions, to see performances, work on shows and have been to the bar too. Great location and a brilliant range of performances on offer..Especially love their Panto! They have an accessible entrance, lift to all floors and provide a welcome space for everyone including BSL interpreted performances too (that's what I work on).

Such a high standard panto and wonderful venue

We had swivel seats upstairs at the side of the stage. These were like bar stools with a rigid back. I found them very uncomfortable, and looking down on the stage from there was making me feel sick and dizzy. My friend who had booked the seats mentioned this to staff, and we were found some more suitable, empty seats within the theatre for the 2nd half of the show. The staff made sure that I was okay, even when leaving the theatre at the end. It is a great theatre with tiered seats, therefore with great views of the stage for everyone.

I saw Peter Panto and the Incredible Stinkerbell and if I could give this show a 100 stars it would be no exaggeration. I'm visiting from the states, so while some of the local humour was lost on me, the laughs came easily and there was not a dull moment! I will visit Glasgow again just to attend whatever performance is happening at that time. The talent was incredible and the show so interactive, I can't imagine there is a bad seat in the house. I also appreciated the ability to pre-purchase drinks for intermission. I would recommend this to anyone (and that's no lie as I'm only 30 minutes post-performance and I've already told the only 2 humans I know that live in Glasgow, 3 people who live thousands of miles away and my bartender. ) Such an incredible show. Johnny AKA Stinkerbell, you may have a bit of a baby reindeer situation after all. 😉 Y'all were wonderful!! 💙

Great afternoon at the panto. Nice bar area for pre/ interval refreshments. View from seating area great. Clock room for bulky winter coats would have been good.

Great time. Went for panto and was alternative to big theatre. Great fun and good venue. Smaller and more personal feel. Nice bar and staff.

Great experience with the festive pantomime two years running. My three year old enjoyed it while not completely understanding it, unfortunately she wasn't feeling great part way through the show. Even my dad enjoyed himself and he's hard to please. Only downside is the lack of good rum on offer... Get some kraken on the shelves instead of captain Morgan's and you're sorted. I actually turned down captain Morgan's and had water instead.

Hadn't been in years and was reminded of how much I love the place. I am already checking what shows are on next. Was worried we would miss the show with the size of the queue at the bar but it was quickly delt with. Every customer in front was greeted with a friendly face, it didn't feel like they were being rushed and they all got served really fast. The front of house staff were just as chilled and very efficient.

Best Panto in town!!! So good to have Johnny NcKnight back, I was in stitches the whole show. He’s so engaging and really connects with the audience, it’s great for the whole family! Well done to the cast, musicians and the theatre staff! Brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Words can’t describe the total joy that we experienced as a family at the Panto on Xmas eve. Cast were brilliant! Energetic! Charismatic! Even with the kids with us… not predictable nor sleazy! Adults got the jokes. So much energy n passion. Hope I’m still here next year to watch you all perform again. Costumes, music, props, Bliddy marvellous!

Lovely place, really nice cafe/bar with friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Pantomime was excellent, and so much more enjoyable in a small venue.

This is a place that is very precious to us. We make a yearly trip to the panto and its always brilliant. Funny, great costumes and songs and a quirky take on current affairs. No smut. There's plenty of sharp witted observations to entertain. Food's good too!

S

Love this wee theatre. The seating is teired do you gay a good view. Family groups had empty seats between and entry and exit separate. Only slight concern was people congregating in the foyer at the end. But a great wee theatre. Glad they had their Christmas show.

Tron panto time. Took the brat pack once again to this years tron offering. As usual theres a different slant, this years all female cast giving a different view of the Cinderella story. The kids all said they enjoyed it but they could have just been being polite which isn't like them as some parts went over their heads. Decent singers with some groan jokes but still worth a visit if you haven't got panto tickets.

The bar reminds me of the old GFT Cosmo crowd - a quirky mixture of arty farty, woke, hipsters and the usual pseudo intelectuals (myself included) along with what I assume to be a small band of 'regular clientele'. The theatre splace is clean, well laid out and the seats comfortable enough, however for those over 5 feet 6 inches or 142 cms - when you have been sitting an hour watching mayhem on stage the knee space situation can become distinctly uncomfortable - so choose your seating wisely. I recommend pre-ordering drinks and a good set of knee pads, a well loved small theatre with the ability to amuse, entertain and hold up a mirror for those whom may wish to reflect on the human condition (a good example of pseudo intellectualism) For those less interested in the arts there is Babbity Bowsters just around the corner - I recommend the moderate consumption of decent gin in both establishments

Lovely small theatre with great sound

Went to see a play. Play was disappointing. Audience members kept coming and going and disturbing both other audience members and actors on stage. Why didn't the ushers stop this coming and going?? Re-thinking required on design of front of house. What a shame! Disinclined to come back.

M
Ma Ca

Front Desk staff especially the blonde female, really needs some customer facing training, her approach is very passive aggressive . If she is the first person that patrons come In to contact with at the Tron , then this may shape their opinion of the Theatre and affect their experience Smile more scowl less :) besides this what a lovely welcoming theatre

B
BEATRICE NICHOLAS

Nice building well refurbished, good food nicely cooked . The seats however are impossible to seat on particularly on row 'J'. At the time of purchase there is no notification that thus particular row has no leg room. Therefore I did not enjoy the play and subject matter and left with sore back and neck.

I would like to say it was a huge disappointment that a group of 25 people with disabilities who had booked for the afternoon were told on arrival that the booking had been cancelled. The manager said he could let them in at a cost of £50 to cover the electricity??? And £2.50 per head for tea and a biscuit. They were only staying an hour and a half to spend some time with each other for a catch up. Fortunately Boteco, across the road, made space for the group and they had a wonderful afternoon
