Pasamos por aquí y nos guiamos por las buenas reseñas, realmente nos sorprendió, es un lugar pequeño pero muy limpio y la gente muy amable, sobretodo el mesero estuvo al pendiente de que nos sintiéramos muy bien atendidos. Lo mejor de todo, la comida estuvo deliciosa y fresca. Muchas gracias! Esperamos visitarlos pronto nuevamente!

Was looking for a bite to eat after my appointment in the area and came across this gem and decided to try based on the positive reviews. The reviews were spot on! This place provides wonderful service and delicious food as well as generous portions! This is an easy to miss place but it is a must try! Definitely my new favorite Peruvian spot in New York.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch special here today. I pulled up, parked right in front, and was greeted right away. The woman who greeted me and took my order was very pleasant. A little language barrier, but that's quite alright. They have daily lunch specials for around $15. I went with the fried fish fillet, which was served with rice and beans, a soup, and a can of soda. The fish was very flavorful, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. The rice and beans were great, and I tossed some of the onion and tomatoes in there with hot sauce on top. The soup blew me away. Huge chunks of potatoes, carrots, and beef. The flavor was lightly and almost creamy from how hearty it was, just amazing. I wish the photos I took were better, but I always get food to go. It's worth the trip, civiche will be next on my tastings here.

This is one of my absolute favorite peruvian restaurants as a first generation peruvian. It’s a peruvian owned restaurant that has real Peruvian food. If you’re thinking of trying it here you should whether you’ve had Peruvian food or not.

We did have to wait a few minutes for our food but it was because they were cooking the yucca and some sides up fresh which is worth the wait.

I got the 1/2 Pollo Solo (rotisserie chicken) and it was DELICIOUS! Very flavorful and tender. Going back to try more food for sure! FIVE STARTS!!!!

This restaurant was and is absolutely amazing! Yes, it’s small but The service is humbling and sweet. And server (she) is very attentive and the way she is truly reminds me of Peru! Now the food…is very delicious!! There’s not a lot of places that can pull off Peruvian food but this place I can say can definitely pull of the traditional foods! Definitely worth going! La comida aquí es riquísima!! El servicio es muy buena y ella es muy amable!! Mil gracias!!

It is a very small place with 3 tables to accommodate like 12 people. The food is excellent. A lot of people take out. The portions are very big. The lunch specials they charge $15, which includes a large, tasty soup, salad, potatoes with cream, rice, and meat. I had the fried chicken. Go, give it a go!

We've been customers of LaVicharra for many years and enjoy the food very much. That being said, this place is one poorly run business; several times they've been out of chicken (we generally order around 5:00-5:30), then you have to hope to get on the phone, if the phone is answered at all, seemingly the only person that speaks English. It's become a joke in our household that when you call you hope they have chicken; today they did, if you were willing to wait another hour and a half (though we had to call twice after being put on hold and not picked up again)....we ordered Sushi elsewhere. Staff are very pleasant.

Food in this restaurant is awful, it is not authentic Peruvian Food !!! Do not buy food in this location, you are wasting your money 😒 away!!

Used to be very good a few months ago, nasty and taste like it’s old and dry. The food is definitely not authentic Peruvian. Expensive for what the lady offers. The owner seems to be upset and mad when I ask for extra sauce. Will not be coming back anymore!
