Happened by here driving through San Diego, and found live music, great service and a welcoming atmosphere. We were probably under dressed, but no one called us out on it 😂

Arrived late evening exhausted from the day. Mat the bartender/waiter greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. Enjoyed the food, ambience and his friendly demeanor. And it was awesome to watch LeBron James make history while enjoying time and space at Ocean View Bar & Grill.

Excellent grilled scallops dinner entree, and their pasta with salmon is also fantastic! They have a full bar, and even carry the single malts (Glenfiddich) and great wines. Ample parking below that is validated for the restaurant so you don't have to worry about parking. Great seating both in and outside and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Great food & service in quiet setting. Roasted Brussel sprouts with bacon & parmesan was our favorite dish, although our main courses were excellent too: herb crusted pork chop & mahi mahi fish tacos ... Enjoyed the outside ocean view above the pool. Lovely evening.

Ate here every day we stayed at the hotel. Overall, pricing is competitive with the other restaurants in the area. Service was always incredibly attentive and quick even with a packed bar at night. Dinner meals are average at best but breakfast was fantastic. Largest complaint is the pricing on coffee with breakfast which is no different than the coffee on premises but at 4$ a cup, probably consider getting that elsewhere.

It is worth the drive to eat breakfast. The omelet is large enough to share so you can split the French toast, too. Tje burger was good but the nachos are not.. Good atmosphere with good views. Very relaxing environment. Great service.

Stopped in for drinks and fries, I was at the del mar just next to the hotel and wanted to go to a bar within walking distance. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. Only bad thing is they closed at 9 when I went. I would've stayed for more drinks haha.

We did not know this was a restaurant in a hotel lobby. Disappointed in the evening view. They did not have mixed greens so several menu salads were not available. Hubby got blackened Mahi tacos, which he liked. I got the Baja chicken tacos and was not impressed. Oh well! Our last night in Solano Beach was not what we expected. Service was very attentive.

Pretty good food and dog-friendly for those needing canine accommodation. Friendly service and pretty fast. My only issues are serving size and cocktail strength. Tacos that needed to be 2x as many (4 instead of 2) or with a side of something (only came with about 10 corn chips). Also, for a $16 margarita I think there should be some Tequila in it somewhere. Like double the amount please.
