Diplomat Cafe is highly praised for its authentic and delicious Georgian cuisine, especially the khachapuri. Customers rave about the excellent service and the welcoming atmosphere. Many consider it a must-visit and one of the best dining experiences they've had.
Tip: Try the Georgian food; it's absolutely wonderful. Consider the khachapuri and khinkali.
We will be back! The service, the food, the wine, perfection! Highly recommend the Adjaruli khachapuri with egg and cheese, and for the wine - Kindzmarauli Red Semi-Sweet. Thanks Luka for a delicious experience!
My first time here and we love it. The waiter had great recommendation. Total try the different dishes and there portions are big enough to share. Food was seasoned and delicious. Felt very comfortable in the atmosphere.
Best Georgian food I’ve had in Illinois great to share. Highly recommend, everyone was kind, great service. The ajaruli was insanely delicious.
If you haven't been to the Chicago Diplomat Café, you must come try! This place is honestly so good. It was only our second time trying Georgian food and certainly not our last- it is absolutely wonderful. Everything we had was so good, and Luka did such a great job welcoming us, taking care of us and providing recommendations. გმადლობთ! ჩვენ დავბრუნდებით.
What a lovely restaurant! We recently had lunch here and ordered a few items, including the famous Khachapuri. Also ordered some delicious khinkali (steamed and fried) and lamb chops - yum! For drinks, we had some pear kompot (quince) and Georgian red wine (one of my favorites). Service was decent (the restaurant was not busy when we were there) and the ambience was quiet. Definitely recommend trying it if you’re in the city!
Went here with my friend (it was my first time) and it was very good! The appetizers are mostly bread and cheese which is phenomenal and they had a cream soda (pictured) that I had never seen before that tasted so good! Probably the best I've ever had. The food was very good and the service and atmosphere were nice and relaxed. Great place!
Lovely place with super cozy atmosphere! Delicious food, excellent service and friendly stuff! Will be back for sure! Highly recommend
Amazing restaurant! Portions are great, filling but not heavy, and the staff are attentive and familiar with the menu. There’s no bad choice on the menu, highly recommend trying Georgian food!
Food was amazing, delicious and person working here gave really good recommendation on drink too…best place for date night or just want to spend time with friends and family….will definitely going back there soon…
Coming from Poland, I had a chance to eat a lot of great Georgian food in my life - this place is up there! Very authentic, exactly what you’d expect. Khachaphuri Imeruli was a delicious cheesy, gooey paradise. They use the right kind of cheese - salty and very umami in its flavor - exactly like it should be rather than a cheaper, Western substitute you can sometimes find in non-Georgian places. Chinkali had super flavorful meat with a delicious broth. Total comfort food. A positive surprise was a beet salad with khemali - never had it before and it was a very nice refreshing, complex flavor. We got there right before they closed the kitchen. We were served very quickly, everything was kind and efficient. The server helped us also get red khemali bottle to go. Top-notch service!
This Georgian café is the real deal! Having spent about a year in Tbilisi across multiple trips, I can confidently say this place is truly authentic. The flavors, the atmosphere—it all feels like a slice of Georgia. While the shkmeruli wasn’t quite to my taste, the lamb stew and Satsivi (walnut sauce) was outstanding, and both the khinkali and khachapuri were top-notch. And for those who know Georgian culture, a true mark of authenticity—support Ukraine posters proudly on display. Highly recommend!
Delicious food and great service. We’re gonna come back again for sure. Thank you.
Excellent food and drinks. Delicious and authentic. Khachapuri and chacha particularly good.
Always a fantastic experience. Khinkali alone is worth the trip. Luka was wonderful and took great care of us. Thank you for another delicious meal!
Luka is an exceptional server at Diplomat Café, known for his warm personality and professional approach. He always provides attentive and efficient service, ensuring every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. His attention to detail, friendly attitude, and great communication make every dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Luka consistently goes above and beyond to create a positive atmosphere and leave a lasting impression on everyone who visits.
I just went in looking for something fast as I had an appointment to run to immediately afterwards. From the moment I walked in, the staff could not have been more friendly, attentive, or helpful. I was wowed by a simple bowl of soup as it wasn’t overly complicated, but was incredibly tasty. They even insisted on bringing me a basket of bread which I cannot wait to taste again. My mom told me you can tell a lot about a restaurant on their soup, and I’m excited to return
Service was outstanding, food was great including bread was delicious. Nice music , clean bathrooms. Very happy and a great Georgian beer.
Was driving by and decided to stop by. Amazing traditional vibe and design inside. Everything is authentic and handmade. Front of the house is very welcoming and guided us through an awesome menu. Must get the garlic cream chicken, any of the breads with cheese, and meat. The dumplings are a huge and great. Everything was exceptional and definitely homemade fresh to order. Many more items I will be back to try.
This place is so amazing and mind-blowingly delicious. Don’t be jarred by the prices — they seem higher than usual but that’s because the portions are family-size! Don’t over-order like we did (or do, and have fantastic leftovers after), and enjoy the huge breadth of flavors. Absolute favorite: the imeruli khachapuri (cheese pie) and garlic potatoes. Delicious!
Chicago Diplomat is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Oksana is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing Ajarulli Khachapuri. Must come back. 10/10.
Delicious food!! I’ve never had Georgian food and the dishes the server recommended were all great. I would definitely come back to try the bread and have the walnut appetizer again
The food is delicious and the prices good, but the vibe baby! The most Peaceful and lovely atmosphere, I am unsure how to explain it, but you walk in and feel at rest. The staff/owners are consistent and so genuine, I absolutely love this place. So check your issues at the door...come inside or sit outside, and enjoy the food and rest in the air.
Love this weird restaurant. I’ve tried a bunch of stuff here and enjoyed basically all of it. They have a bunch of stuff that involves this really nutty spread which is unique and fun to try. The dumplings are great, that bread with cheese thing is a blast, and the stews are killer too.
Dining at Diplomat Cafe for a taste of Georgian cuisine was an absolute delight! The vibrant flavors and rich textures of the dishes transported my taste buds to a culinary haven. The star of the experience, undoubtedly, was our server Alex. His attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm elevated our dining experience, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every detail was met with precision. Alex's professionalism and friendly demeanor added a personal touch, making our visit memorable. I highly recommend Diplomat Cafe for its exquisite Georgian cuisine and commend the outstanding service provided by Alex. A culinary journey worth savoring!
Delicious Georgian food and amazing wine! We ordered the chakapuli (lamb stew), mushroom ojakhuri (mushroom stew), imeruli (stuffed cheese bread), and the cold appetizers mix. All were delicious! They also have a great selection of Georgian wines which were unbelievably flavorful. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.
The food was flavorful, rustic and filling. Fresh baked bread and hearty stews…. trust me get the lamb stew…. just do it, get the lamb stew. Entrees ranged from 20-30 bucks per plate and expect to order sides ala carte. There wasnt a dish we didnt enjoy and the venue was a cute and charming. Everyone was very kind, however to be fair it was faily empty and it took a while to get our check. Also there were only canned beverages, I would expect a restaurant like this to have a fountain. Also it’s currently BYOB until they get their liquor license.
Cozy atmosphere with delicious, high-quality food. Special thanks to Albina her attention to detail truly makes this place stand out. Highly recommended.
I have long wanted to try Georgian cuisine and finally saw this restaurant by chance. I liked everything, but we did not know that there are no alcoholic beverages in the restaurant and you can bring them with you. After we asked the waiter a second time if she was sure there was no alcohol :)) she suggested we go to whole foods When we arrived at the entrance we were asked if we had booked, we did not reserve but at first glance it was not very crowded, so we were quickly seated, though at the very end of the hall. It was about 5 pm and maybe 4 tables were occupied, but when we were going to go almost all the tables were occupied.
My partner and I went for a Valentine’s Day dinner and the food was so good! The soup dumplings are delicious
Amazing experience, would recommend to everyone. Best food, best service, best atmosphere that brings you to the place where you are among the closest friends and family. P.S. thank you Luka, you are great!
Chicago Diplomat Cafe is a fantastic Georgian restaurant with an extensive selection of authentic dishes. The Megruli khachapuri, filled with generous amounts of cheese and topped with crispy smoked Sulvuni, was a delicious highlight. The aromatic and well-seasoned Ojakhuri was also a standout. Don't forget to complement your meal with their excellent Georgian semi-sweet wines.
wonderful unique mix of flavors and dishes. khachapuri? no going back to pizza. cultural decor, comfy seating, warm service. MANY *naturally* vegan and vegetarian dishes.
This Georgian restaurant is simply amazing! The food is incredibly delicious, full of authentic flavors, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Everything was just perfect – highly recommend!
This is now my favorite place to eat in Chicago. Incredible decor and music. The staff here are extremely courteous and friendly. Bring a bottle of wine and they will open it for you and provide glasses. Order a khachapuri to start and you will be thrilled. The mixture of butter, cheese and egg is complimented perfectly with the dough. I had lamb and my wife had chicken in garlic cream sauce. Either way you can’t go wrong here.
Our server, Alex, offered excellent service and the food went beyond our expectations. It should be considered a crime to visit Chicago without eating at the Chicago Diplomat Cafe. We had 1 khachapuri and 3 harcho soups, it was 10/10! Real authentic Georgian food with a cozy and clean atmosphere. We also ordered the meat dumplings and and kebab, it was all amazing.
Highly recommend! I tried the ajaruli, khinkali, and napoleon cake, but there were a bunch of other dishes that looked great too so I’ll have to come back. Food was delicious, portions were huge, and service was very friendly and attentive. They’re very sensitive to the fact that many customers haven’t tried Georgian food before and demonstrate the proper way to eat different dishes, which I really appreciated. Wine list is also extensive, with nearly half of the options being Georgian wines - I really liked the orange one that I tried.
Amazing Georgian food! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was wonderful. Definitely coming back! Thank you Stasik!
Amazing food amazing drink ! The servers were so helpful in choosing the Georgian food ! The taste is out of this world! I wasn’t expecting this outcome we end up ordering almost everything to try it out and took the rest as take out ! Thank you guys for introducing me to an amazing culture food !
Diplomat Cafe: A Gem for Georgian Cuisine Diplomat Cafe offers an inviting and elegant atmosphere, beautifully decorated with traditional Georgian items and thoughtful details. It strikes the perfect balance between casual and refined, making it ideal for both a special occasion and a relaxed meal. The food is exceptional, particularly the khinkali, which were perfectly prepared and flavorful. The khachapuri imeruli was large enough to share, and the Diplomat salad was a delightful complement. My companions enjoyed the lamb mtsvadi, lamb chakapuli, and chakhokhbili chicken, and each dish was a hit. The restaurant also boasts a good wine list and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Overall, it’s a fantastic dining experience that I’m looking forward to repeating. Highly recommended!
This restaurant was an absolute delight! The food was truly exceptional, and it was incredibly enriching to experience a taste of a new culture through their cuisine. The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This dining experience exceeded all my expectations – it's exactly what I look for in a restaurant
Today we finally managed to visit this restaurant. Everything was very tasty. The bottle of wine was drunk in about 15 minutes, it was so delicious. Chacha was soft and pleasant. We smelled khachapuri from the other end of the restaurant. It was unforgettable. As were the 20 khinkali that my wife and I ate. It was as tasty as those we ate in beautiful Georgia. Thanks to the waiter and the cooks for a pleasant evening and delicious food.
Amazing variety of flavor and combination of Georgian dishes. The vibe is warm and inviting. Good service overall. Would love to come back and experience the other authentic items soon.
This was my first experience with Georgian cuisine. First stop was the Khachapuri Ajaruli- gooey cheese, butter, and egg filled bread. Then I had the lamb Onakhuri - kabob pieces, potato, onion and Georgian seasoning served in a clay pan. My partner got the Chicken Tabaka - pan fried crispy whole Cornish hen served with a trio mix of Georgian sauces over potatoes. We wrapped up the evening with Neapolitan cake and Turkish coffee. There is no doubt that we could have ordered one or two things and been more than satisfied, but now we have plenty of leftovers for the next day. The food was phenomenal and the spices and seasonings were extraordinarily complimentary to the food. If you're looking for a unique experience while trying new food, look no further! The Chicago Diplomat Cafe is a must try!
A HIDDEN GEM!! This was some of the best food I have EVER eaten. The spices and flavors were amazing. Our waiter led us very proudly through the menu and provided an excellent experience. The food and wine were works of art. (btw, The pictures others have provided are great.) I am surprised this place wasn't packed. My favorites were the cheese bread with egg yolk, and the soup of the day. I definitely want to go back and try more of the options.
Super delicious and amazing atmosphere. Food was really good. Especially Hinkali and Chicken Tabaka. Stas and Albina made our night real special. They are taking this spot to the highest level. Thank you guys.
Overall Thoughts: This is the only Georgian restaurant in Chicago and my first time trying Georgian food— it didn’t disappoint and made for an extremely hearty, filling meal (albeit on the saltier side). Extra shout out to our super kind and awesome server!! The ambience inside is beautiful—both stately and homey. We came with a dinner reservation on Friday, but it wasn’t too crowded inside so walk-ins are probably fine too. Prices were a bit high, but reasonable for the portions (~$42 pp with tax/tip). Food I tried: - Pkhali: Kind of looked and tasted like colorful, non-fried falafel without the chickpeas. These are made with various vegetables and walnuts for a robust umami flavor. They were very soft and creamy, and were quite hearty and delicious. - Imeruli Khachapuri: Khachapuri is the national dish of Georgia; our server recommended this particular one as his favorite. It was essentially a bread stuffed with various cheeses, and tasted quite good and was very filling. It was really salty though, so I was pretty thirsty after this one. - Mushroom Ojakhhuri: This is a vegetarian dish that our server recommended. The mushrooms were soft and flavorful, though the potatoes were a little too mushy for my liking. Was delicious overall though, with buttery and creamy textures. - Khinkali: For reference, these soup-filled dumplings are kind of like Chinese xiao long baos but with MUCH thicker skin and an all-meat filling, so they’re a lot heavier and more filling. They were delicious— I really liked how doughy and chewy the skin was, and the soup and filling were flavorful. You can choose how many you want (they’re $4 each). - Stewed Feijoa Kompot drink: We also tried a bottle of stewed feijoa kompot drink, which our server told us is very popular and commonly drunk in Georgia. The flavor was pretty interesting—mildly sweet, flowery, and tart. — Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5 Food: 4.3/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall Value: 4.5/5
went here for a birthday dinner and couldn’t recommend more. everyone in our group was absolutely blown away by the food, it was some of the best and most unique food i’ve ever had. also our waiter was incredible and so nice and made a great birthday toast. halfway through my meal i texted my parents to recommend the restaurant to them. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be returning.
I had an amazing experience at this Georgian restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which really helped in choosing dishes. The food itself was outstanding—authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and full of rich, hearty taste that Georgian cuisine is known for. The khachapuri was perfectly baked with gooey, delicious cheese, and the khinkali dumplings were some of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish felt fresh, homemade, and prepared with care. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and authenticity you get. It’s a wonderful spot for both a casual dinner and a special night out. Overall, I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience true Georgian hospitality and cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back!
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Chicago. Amazing cuisine, service, and atmosphere. I didn’t know much about Georgian culture before I went in, and I feel like I learned a lot! Shoutout to Luka, for being an excellent waiter! He was very funny and very educational! This restaurant is a must try!
We ordered the Ajaruli Khachapuri, the Pkhali, the meat crepes, and the dessert of the day - the honey cake. It was my first time eating Georgian food and I absolutely LOVED it. Everything was incredible, the three appetizers were enough for two people to share and still have leftovers, and we ate that INCREDIBLE honey cake for 3 days! Honestly, I would go back just for that cake. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time!
This place fills my heart with a warmth that I can only feel while traveling. The food is delicious, with many options being packed with garlic (if you love garlic, then go here!). It truly feels like a home cooked meal and it takes you out of America and into a small restaurant in the heart of Georgia. The staff are friendly and more than willing to talk about different aspects of their home. They even gave me some complimentary chocolate for my birthday. There are various tapestries and artwork hung up on the walls which help establish a comfortable and warm ambience. Every dish I’ve had here has been amazing, ranging from the (please excuse my spelling) chkmeruli (garlic chicken in a cream sauce), to the khinkali (brothy meat dumplings), to the khachapuri (Georgian cheese pastries). Even something as simple as rice has been prepared excellently. Restaurants like this exist to share the joy of their home culture, and no place’s cooking has filled me with such warmth from food like the Diplomat Cafe has. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking to try something new or to anybody looking for food that feels like home, even if it’s something they’ve never had before. The Diplomat Cafe has managed to touch my heart like no other Chicago restaurant has.
I don't know what to praise more- the food or the hospitality. This is some of the most delicious, flavorful, comforting food I've ever had. We have driven 5 hours to come here for my birthday the last two years, and it's becoming a tradition I look forward to! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, rich with the smell of garlic, and Alex has taken great care of us and quick with great recommendations. All the khachapuri are delicious, also highly recommend the chkmeruli, the chakapuli, and the lobio rachuli.
The Georgian food at Chicago Diplomat Cafe is exceptional — the Khachapuri was amazing (especially the Ajaruli with its runny egg yolk), and Ajapsandali and Ojakhuri were both incredibly fragrant, rich, and garlicky (perfectly for garlic lovers). The server was very friendly and patiently explained the menu items to us with great recommendations. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable dining experience.
Went to Chicago Diplomat Cafe last night with a group of 8. Everything was so so delicious, especially the meat crepes, ajaruli, penovani, and chashushuli stew. And the honey cakes were to die for! The service was also amazing and everyone was so kind. It was the perfect cozy meal for a cold fall evening. Definitely will be back!
Came for my birthday and we had the best time. Food was INSANE! Some of the best food I've had in a long time. Cannot recommend this place more. Service was also singular. We were hosted by the only server and gretter and runner and fed by the only chef. It was amazing. They are stellar. Will definitely be back.
Great restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and high-quality service. Everything was delicious, fast, and well organized. You can really tell the team cares about what they do, and it shows from the moment you walk in. I'd like to especially mention Albina - she was incredibly polite, attentive, and professional. She helped with recommendations and made sure everything was perfect, which made the whole experience even better. Thanks to employees like her, you genuinely want to come back. Overall, a very positive experience. I will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.
Very special experience! Didn’t remember to take pictures this time, we were too excited. Beautiful, quiet restaurant. The lamb stew was a really interesting and delicious combination of flavors, totally unlike anything I’ve had before. We want to go back and try more cheese breads.
Was here for dinner and was easy to find a table on a Saturday night. Tried the kebabs and they were delicious and meat was of very good quality. As was the other dishes we tried. Would absolutely recommend if looking for Georgian cuisines. The only downside is it’s a teeny weeny bit on the pricier side for repeat trips and hence a four star. The service was also great and polite which isn’t easy to find in a lot of restaurants. Overall definitely worth a visit and one of the better restaurants in the neighborhood that can cater to a wide taste palette.
I went here for dinner with a friend and had a wonderful time. I don’t eat meat but felt like there were quite a few things on the menu that were vegetarian friendly. The adjaruli was a 10/10. It did take a little bit of time for our order to be taken, but there was only one server so I can’t fault him for that too much. The server was otherwise very responsive and was really kind teaching us how to pronounce things and helping us cut our bread.
This was my first experience with Georgian food. We couldn't find where to put in a reservation on their website so we just walked in for dinner on a weekend night. Turns out we could and should have called in for a reservation because the wait for walk-ins was 2 hours. Hence, we decided to order take out instead. My favorite dish was the beef chashushuli with a generous portion of tender beef simmered in a rich, aromatic stew. I also loved their meat khinkali. Think huge soup dumplings filled with delicious meat, savory broth, and mouthwatering spices. The wrapper had the perfect thickness, resulting in a great mouthfeel without any doughiness. The pkhali was interesting, though I’m not sure I’d get it again. I enjoyed the leek one the most, but the beet version wasn’t for me. The ajaruli was buttery cheesy goodness topped with a beautiful runny egg.
We stopped at the Diplomat for a late lunch on our way back to Milwaukee from a visitation near Joliet. Last month, we dined at a wonderful Georgian restaurant in NYC, and we wanted a repeat performance. Unfortunately, while the Diplomat was very good, the kitchen's technique wasn't as polished as the place in NYC. Thus, the four stars. Luka was our effervescent server, and he was a highlight of our lunch at the Chicago Diplomat Cafe. At Luke's urging, we ordered the Khachapuri, which has cheese and egg sunk into a pastry bowl. We didn't enjoy this as much as the Imeruli Khachapuri we had in NYC, which is more like a pizza. The fried khinkali were six enormous dumplings, but they were greasier and not as crisp as the ones at Chama Mamma. But, these were good. Please don't take my review the wrong way. I'm just comparing. Our Ojakhuri was very good, the lamb reminiscent of what is placed in a Greek gyro. We enjoyed our meal in the expansive space of the Chicago Diplomat Cafe, and we will return with friends. This is a fun place.
Walked in on a Monday night to no wait! The waitress let us choose our seat too. I’ve never had Georgian food before so I had no idea what to expect but luckily my friends with us had great recommendations. The bread based items, Khachapuri, was delicious! We got the one with the egg and cheese that you stir in, it looked simple but had so much flavor! One is good to share between two people. The semi-sweet red wine was great to share between two too!
We were searching for a BYOB place in the area and this restaurant populated on Google Maps. We double-checked with the staff that it was okay to open a bottle of wine when we sat down and were informed there is a $6.50 corking fee per person. Do with that information what you will. THE CHAIRS ARE LIFE - I have never felt more supported by a chair in a restaurant. They were these leather, stocky, chairs with arms and everyone at the table was sitting like kings and queens on our leather thrones. This place is best when you share a plethora of dishes for diversity. We laughed that the dishes we got were pizza ingredients without the crust. The main stable flavors were melted cheese and fresh herbs and the service was very welcoming and informative to newcomers. Honestly, if more Americans knew about this cuisine they would be flabbergasted we don't eat this on a regular basis. Everything is cheese, meat, and bread so if those aren't your jam this place is not for you. What a dream!
Good food and exceptional service. The dumpling were too salty for my taste. The cheese pie with egg was phenomenal. The cold appetizers mix is a must try. The garlic chicken will protect you from vampires thru next life. We concluded our dinner with dry fruit (Georgian). It was pleasant surprise.
Rare Gem of Authentic Georgian cuisine in Chicago! My dining companions have been living in the U.S. for almost a year and were missing such dishes as khatchapuri. We discovered the Diplomat Cafe and were not disappointed. We visited in a Saturday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. The presentation of the dishes we ordered was perfect and tasted amazing. Very friendly and courteous staff. Interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable. Unfortunately, I do not live nearby and would not be able to visit often. Only complaint I can make is that the menu pricing is a bit steep. Perhaps a lunch menu with lower prices would help attract customers during the day.
Food was really good. Everything tasted really fresh. Service was barely there for an empty restaurant on a Wednesday night with just 2 tables occupied. Not the right place to ask for suggestions to the wait staff. I ordered what I wanted and they offered a side of potatoes which I thought was a side. Got a full order of really tasty potatoes instead and was charged for it. I did not want to overeat/waste or pay for something I did not order. Beware: this place upsells and forces a 18% gratuity for a bad service.
Unfortunately, Diplomat turned out to be quite a disappointment. It’s the only Georgian restaurant in downtown Chicago, so I’ve given it a few tries. While a few dishes were acceptable, others were barely edible. Overall, it’s probably the worst Georgian restaurant I’ve ever visited.
Heard good things about this restaurant from acquaintances. They could not have been more wrong. The first concerning sign was this place was dead on a Saturday night. We were 1 of about 4 tables in a restaurant that could fit 20. The food was also mediocre to bad. The worst part was the service was non existent. Probably the first time ive ever had wait staff never check on us after the food was given. We had finished and waited about 30 minutes for the server to show up to give us the check. In the end, I had to do the math to figure out how much the bill would be and we just placed cash on the table. As we were walking out, they finally noticed us to give us the check. Would not recommend this place, there are better options for the same style of food.
This is a fairly small restaurant. More than half of it was empty when we walked in at 7:25pm with no reservation. We sat at the table for over 10 minutes before we had to finally ask for a menu. At this point we weren’t even offered a glass of water. We decided not to reward this abominable service by paying for their overpriced food and left never to come back again.
