Wow… this place is so good. Had the both the chicken enchiladas and carne asada tacos. Chicken was so tender. Fresh salsa was great and place was so clean. Young lady who has taking orders was very polite and kept herself busy when she wasn’t helping customers or bussing tables… love to see that these days. We will be back.

A favorite taco joint when craving chicken. Although other options are available, their chicken has such a unique spice flavor profile. A help yourself sauce fridge is also available, and grab extra fire hot sauce. It’s not extremely overwhelming but has the best taste to accompany your roasted chicken. Always consistent and affordable high quality Mexican food, highly recommend.

The first night trying pollo Amado 2, I picked up a half pollo plate with all the fixing and this is the best deal. Better than Costco anyday.

This location is definitely a 2.0 !! We are SO pleased with this restaurant. Best chicken in town period, hands down. It's super clean and new. Service is on point, and always has a great vibe. We love this place!!!!

Amazing service from José, very quick food, and fantastic, tasty chicken! Backstory: my husband and I went on a hike in Palisade and planned to go to a winery with a food truck afterwards. We drove and got to one 10 minutes before closing. We bought a bottle of wine to drink with the food truck food but it turned out that the food truck was no longer serving people. We dejectedly drove towards home without doing our food truck Friday date. We were both annoyed that we bought a rather expensive bottle of wine but didn’t get to eat. In our hangry-ness, we decided to go to the chicken place really close to our house that we have just never been to. We came in and José asked what we would like and we told him we’d never been there before. He had an immediate recommendation to do the half order with an extra side of beans and rice. It came within minutes! He was sure to tell not just us, but the other customers to grab some homemade salsa for the meal as well. A family was enjoying dinner and their baby spilled a ton of rice on the floor on accident. José insisted that he could clean it up, no problem, even after the parents offered to clean. After an annoying bout with the food truck/winery situation, José cheered us up and really made our evening so much better. So thank you!! And thanks to the cooks in the back as well!! We will be visiting again for quick, reasonably priced, tasty food and genuinely kind service.

In October of 2025 we stayed at the nearby KOA. We decided to grab some authentic Mexican food. At the time we went there was only 3 chicken options on the menu. We where fine with that it seemd authentic. We ordered chicken enchilada plates, it came with rice and beans. Unfortunately the rice was hard and tasted like chemicals possibly liquid smoke, not shure. And the enchilada sauce and salsa had no flavor hardly at all. And the beans where basic with no flavor. I'm generally not a big foodie or much of a big flavor person I generally care less about food. But this was my first real disappointment I have experienced at a restaurant. Maybe we caught them on a bad day or at a bad time but this location is convenient for KOA and I wouldn't recommend it to other people traveling and staying at the KOA

Worst carne asada taco I've ever had! Small, overcooked, dry, chewy meat cubes, not strips. No sour cream, guacamole, only salsa offered. The corn tortilla was even smaller than street tacos and a ripoff for $3.25 + tax and tip! Perhaps I'll come back when in the mood for a whole to quarter chicken. I hear that's their specialty but definitely not tacos!!
