Crazy this place has a 3 star rating. Server recommended all classes and was on point. Foid had a modern presentation. Highly recommend
Beautiful ambience, amazing food and the Soku Nut Martini is to die for!! The owner Ivan is the best. This place is a must go to!
Been there so many times and food was excellent!!! A++ All staffs were very polite and feel like families
Great restaurant with super friendly staff; the food was delicious and decently priced. Lots of sushi options.
Staff and manager very helpful. Took care of our large party with no problems.
We ate here today the food was very good , deco amazing and the best was Daniel the waiter professional nice highly recommended
Great food! Great service! Ask for Daniel as your waiter! He’s the best.
Excellent food and service, and Ivan is a terrific host. One of Great Neck's best!
Best uber eats experience Ive had , only excellent things to say about the food.
Excellent sushi, sashimi, and Kobe beef. Excellent and friendly service! Highly recommended!
Delicious choices on their menu.
Amazing food and delivery service, I get them all the time.
As soon as we came in they seated us right away. The service was beyond amazing and they all were mask. As soon as we ordered the food they brought items out as soon as they were ready. We didn't have wait more three minutes for another item to come. They are amazing I definitely recommend! I would give them ten star's
The food is great here. It’s usually my go to for lunch. I love their lunch special. It comes with multiple choices for just $10. Great service each time I pick up and the food is always ready when I arrive.
Was in the area and I stopped by for some sushi rolls , I Allways order the simplest rolls I don’t like when they are loaded with too much of extra stuff on it just plan salmon avocado tuna and shrimp. It’s also the best way to know if sushi is good. And I can say that this place is one of the best sushi places I have been to.
Outstanding, fresh and the food is amazing!
I LOVEEE THIS SPOT! The food is fresh each time. I always order their Chicken Pad Thai. If you have a chance, also try the Spicy Tuna Dumpling. Fire!!!!
Soku hands down has the best sushi roll I have ever had. The lion dance roll is absolutely delicious and so are their other selections. The pan-fried edamame roll is tasty as well.
Went to Soku before a concert and had an amazing dining experience. Everyone was very friendly and the food amazing. Ivan the owner came over and gave us a complementary appetizer to try, omg it was sooo good. I def recommend Soku for a delicious dining experience🤗
Fantastic sushi restaurant. Love their outdoor patio in the back. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Food comes out fast. Everything tastes very fresh. There's a variety of dishes to choose from
We have been taking out during the pandemic .. the food is always amazing ! Short ribs / spare ribs / all special rolls are delicious ! The mini won ton soup is the best !
The food was amazing, service was great, and the decor was wonderful. The sushi and sashimi are absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back again!
Since you opened, we have regularly ordered from you for delivery. Tonight’s meal was exceptional. Thank you and keep up the fine work☺️
Delightfully delicious. I had the crispy beef and was pleasantly surprised. The waitstaff was quick and efficient. I would eat there, again.
This place was amazing! The food was AMAZING!!! AND there was a singing soku sushie chef! He was really good at singing and his food was DELICIOUS. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, it was amazing 👍👍😄
Beautiful place with amazing food. It’s great for the whole family or a date spot. Only posting this cause it’s rare I’m that blown away by a restaurant.
Amazing service! Really nice atmosphere and staff is very considerate and accommodating. Sushi is fresh and top notch.
Amazing food, especially the crispy beef, edamame dumplings and ribs! The service was great and the owner is so friendly!
The best of the best great food nice location. Ivan and chef joe are the greatest and there location is awesome to host parties and hang out and have a good time.
Very kind staff warm and welcoming. Food is great as well I will definitely come back
The food was delicious, and served quickly. The servers were very polite and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and the interior was decorated with art. They had nice clean bathrooms too. I come here often as well. Would come here over and over again.
Great food and good portions, ample parking at the back of the restaurant, fast service.
So yummy!!! As soon as I got out of my car I smelled something so good! Turns out it was coming from Soku!
Soku has a cozy and well-decorated space that makes dining there quite comfortable. The staff is friendly and strikes a nice balance without being overbearing. My visit with my son was enjoyable, especially because of the fresh and tasty food. Their sushi dinner stands out, with sushi that's smooth and almost melts in your mouth. I'm thinking of going back and bringing more of my family next time.
We hosted a large family party at Soku Asian Fusion a few weeks ago and had a fantastic experience. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is top-notch. Highly recommended for dinner, take-out, or your next big function!
Food was excellent! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was pleasant and the server was extremely polite and friendly. I will happily visit this restaurant whenever I find myself in the area
I ordered dinner tonight and the food was great. It's my first time ordering and it will not be my last. The portion waa good and the food was real tasty.
The food is incredibly delicious and fresh! I never actually like Asian fusion but this is the first one that I would definitely recommend to all my friends and will come back again! Warm sake is a must try. Service is awesome as well as the interior design. Good place for couples and friends on a Friday night.
Great food, was seated right away, no wait time. Family friendly restaurant, had a high chair for the baby. Soda seems to be from fountain, not as good as can soda - less gass. Will go again, recommended!!
I wanted to eat here a few times before reviewing - I have eaten there about 5 times and ordered delivery 3-4 times and the food is consistently good. The service was great too, not hovering (in the way that can sometimes get annoying) but friendly and attentive. Most importantly, the fish is always very fresh and tasty.
Soku is absolutely one of THE BEST Sushi restaurants in the area. The food is always fresh, service is impeccable, ambiance is lovely, and it is conveniently located. There is always plenty of parking. We visit weekly and will never tire of this wonderful restaurant. Thank you!
Summarizing: the food is excellent, the service is friendly, and the decor is very good. The food is tasty and light, rice can be white or flavorful brown rice at no extra charge, and I leave the restaurant feeling healthy and pleased rather than overloaded which can happen at other restaurants. As a vegetarian, I have tried their vegetarian rolls, tofu teriyaki, and one of their Thai selections, Pad Thai. All excellent. The owner / manager watches for the needs of the guests, for example offering unsolicited to turn up the temperature a bit when my partner was putting on a light sweater due to AC being on (it was not excessively cold anyway, but some are more sensitive to cold than others). The waiter is friendly, and at this last visit remembered what I had ordered two months earlier! The atmosphere is pleasant. The visual decor is a bit serious or formal, but not oppressively so. The music is interesting and played at a reasonable level. The lighting is comfortable. If rated separately, I would give the atmosphere four stars, not five, due to the above-mentioned observations. I don't recommend every Japanese restaurant in this area, but in Soku's case, I definitely do recommend it.
The best vibe with amazing food! So fresh and tasty, definitely going to be coming here a lot more often now that I found out about them last week!(Been here 3 times in the last 4 days)Not to forget our server Daniel!!! He is amazing and gives you nothing but the best service anyone can ask for and knows the menu like the back of his hand, so you can ask him about any dish as well!
Beautiful restaurant. The food is art. Atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Food is delicious and I met Ian the owner, whose attention to detail and genuine investment in your experience at his restaurant is very apparent. Loved it.
Came on a Saturday afternoon and had a delightful lunch. They have an open patio with roof which allows for a shaded outdoor dining experience. The menu is extensive for first timers but that means they have something for everyone. We did the lunch specials which lets you try plenty of small dishes. If there's anything you must try its the fried rice and their sushi! Presentation of all the dishes were well thought out. I highly recommend!
The Xinjiang Spicy Noodles here were very tasty and the perfect amount of spice!
Dine in Experience, 6/2021: Came here on Father's Day and no reservations needed. I saw they had sidewalk outdoor dining covered by an awning and umbrellas. They also have outdoor dining in the back yard...a little dark. The indoor dining was pretty full when we arrived but I was lucky to score the last available booth. Each booth can hold a party of four - five comfortably. Six is possible with smaller guests or if you don't mind the awkward corners. Highlights: sushi and sashimi was very fresh and the uni with tobiko was excellent. My favorite appetizer was the vegetable tempura, great sharing portion. Check out my photos for the rest. Everything was as expected - excellent job. Wait staff was super attentive and prompt when I needed water or extra napkins. Previous Review - Take Out Experience (2021) Excellent Take Out dinner I had from here. The sashimi was so fresh and the pieces were cut properly. The tuna and salmon slices are my kid's favorite. We love the vegetable tempura here as well given the variety and choice of vegetables. They use mushrooms, eggplant, broccoli, carrots and sweet potatoes. Delish! Our other favorites: tri color sushi and the chirashi. This was my second time ordering during the pandemic. I can't wait to go dine in person when it's safe again.
The food and serve were great. I had the lunch special, ...dry beef. The spicy tuna, salmon and yellowtail rolls were good too. The salad was fresh and tasty as well. Definitely going back there.
The food and service is great and they treat you like family!
I stayed nearby at the Inn at Great Neck. I ordered from Uber eats. Quick, efficient and possibly some of the best sushi I've had. 1 note, I asked for low Sodium Soy sauce and it had a different sweetness to it.
Delicious food! The lunch special is especially worth your money. Food display is gorgeous and appetizing and the best Asian Fusion food I've tasted in a long time! Their Sokutini cocktail is also very refreshing 🙂
Every dish we got was amazing! The shrimp tempura is large and crunchy and the fish is always fresh. General Tso and crispy beef 👌🏻👌🏻. Service was great and food comes out quickly even when they’re busy!
Food was delicious. Rolls were fresh!
Highly recommend checking this place out! Food is delicious, drinks are solid. Staff is friendly and respectful. New favorite go to spot!
A hidden gem in Great Neck, this Japanese fusion restaurant is well worth a visit. Vicky, our server, greeted us right away and provided excellent service. The ambiance is warm and tastefully decorated, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. Some standout dishes included the Kumamoto Oysters, the Sushi & Sashimi Party Tray, and the Angel Hair Roll. If you’re in the area, this is a great spot for either a casual meal or a business lunch or dinner. Highly recommended!

Great deals, good, and service! Melanie (hostess at the front) always gets my order right and accommodates my gluten free diet with gf sauces. She even offered me a drink for my wait today! Melanie is super nice! There’s a sweet blonde waitress there who is so great at her job and is so humble and kind! They always offer 20% off each meal as well. I just wanted to thank the staff and owner for accommodating for peoples diets and allergies and remembering their customers, and for always being welcoming!
We decided to try something new and ordered take out from SOKU for the first time tonight. It was delicious! We had a mix of sushi and Bento boxes and dumplings. Everything was packed so nicely and the food was fresh and very tasty. We will definitely be back!
Great food and service is always friendly. My family loves coming here. Their sushi is fresh and well presented. Kumamoto oysters here is my favorite. I like how there’s options for everyone.

Absolutely delicious and great service. Food arrives quickly too
The food is great and the service is wonderful. All of the staff are friendly and warm. Especially Vicky.
A pleasant Japanese/Asian restaurant in town. Lotion in the bathroom is a nice touch. Food is good so is the service. They decant our wine . Four of us, brought our wine. One of two regulars in our group ordered for the table. The fish is dry, so is the lamb. The oyster ... have it better else. The sashimi are really good. The bill came at $308, incl. $30 corkage fee. The wine glasses are decent. A big parking lot in the back. A big parking lot in the back.
Fresh sushi and friendly, attentive staff. On a Friday night most local restaurants are almost empty so a good time to go and not have to wait. Park in the back lot.
Really good. Sushi was really fresh. Menu is varied with a variety of different dishes. Service was very attractive without being presumptuous. Go there for fresh sushi and a cut above the rest Asian fusion food. Atmosphere was really great. Quiet, peaceful and professional.
First timers and not the last ... Frim the moment we stepped inside(without a reservation) we enjoyed a fabulous experience. The host Ivan was a charmer. Obviously he loves his position, people and is proud of this restaurant. Our meal was one treat after another. Do not miss this new addition to Middle Neck Rd. Well priced. Top service and a happy staff.
This restaurant is in Great neck village and I'm not sure how long it's been there but it's probably been a while. I had a late lunch/early dinner meeting set up and the organizer chose this place. The service was insanely slow and strange as we sat at our booth upon arrival, and Noone came over for like 20 minutes to ask if we wanted a drink or anything! Was kind of bizarre as staff kept walking by our table...and we just sat there waiting patiently... Finally we said something and got some attention. The food itself was good. The decorative lattice between tables had layers of dust packed in the cutouts so that was kind of yucky.. The sushi guys were very nice.. Probably safe to say won't be going there again...

Lunch special: chicken was dry and lacked flavor. Small portions, especially for the high cost. Server didn't offer refills for water. Nice wallpaper.
i ordered takeout several times. What makes me stop going there is the attitude of the front desk girl or sometimes a guy. She wears no smile, when missing an order, offer no apology. one time the food comes with no utensil and reused bag. The food tastes okay, but not great or authentic for menu items go by Japanese or other asia cuisine name. I guess that's why it called itself "fusion".
Food was decent but they didn’t provide any soy sauce on a sushi to go order. And only 1 chopstick. You’d think soy sauce is a basic think in all orders.

I'm sorry that I have to write this during a crisis when all the businesses and restaurants are suffering. However, the second time, which will also be the last time I order take out from here, my husband reminded me that I didn't like it the first time. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a second chance. Not only did I feel that the food was over priced, but it tasted mediocre. So basically you're paying city price for very mediocre food. And they gave me one less piece of sashimi than what's stated in the menu. Not just the menu. The person told me exactly how many pieces are included when I ordered. So basically overpriced, mediocre tasting food, and one missing piece of sashimi that I wasn't gonna go back for. I feel ripped off.
Food quality was average but my sister and I were overcharged like crazy here. We asked for kani salad on top of our rolls and they charged us $9 each extra for a little bit of kani salad on our rolls meanwhile tbeir full size kani salad on their menu is $8. 4 rolls and an edamame turned into a $100 lunch that is crazy. I dont like feeling scammed.
There was a bone in my salmon sushi. Ew. Clearly not using sushi grade fish.
The food is great, but the portions are so small. It’s like ordering on a children’s menu.
Sashimi should never include sea-leg passed off as crab. The shumai were wrapped in too heavy a shell. It was very much Chinese cuisine pretending to cover Japanese and Thai.
Food is very dry/bland and they’re very stingy with their sauces. Will not go again and do not recommend.
The fish here is very fresh, the ingredients are good, but the kitchen meal is too bad, there is no appetite, the master wants to change
Usually order this as take out with my peers at the hospital during our shifts for lunch, since I live in the neighborhood figured I’ll go and order to pick up sushi and was completely ignored not even given the chance to order. It was a RACIAL thing for sure because someone else came to pay she took the money and continued to answer calls as if I wasn’t even in the location. I will NEVER order from this place again no matter how great the food is.
All local residents of great neck please do not let your kids eat here without you. Management is very rude to them and tries to give them a life lesson by calling them irresponsible and how they do not know the value of money and how they should get a job. On 22 Oct this happened to my daughter and her friends. Was a very traumatic experience for her and refuses to go back. Do not support this establishment as they do not treat your children with the same respect they would to adult customers. They also take advantage and overcharge and include a tip for a party of 4?!?
Owner was rude, sitting by our table intentionally try to join our table’s family reunion; trying to convince us get the “ daily special” which tasted bad and overpriced. Overall not pleasure at all. I would suggest the owner to get more education from college in British.
I just got sashimi dinner for $33. I threw it out; it tasted like a rag. I was about to call police for selling rotten fish. The dish consists of cheapest fish. Hard to chew. No wasabi, no ginger. I will never order again from here.
horrible wait time for delivery orders
The owner is a total idiot. Had a simple change to my order which he refused to do. Shashaku up the block is a lot better.
I went here with my family. The food here was okay, good not great. But a day later, me and my entire family got food poisoning. Stuff is coming out of both ends, sometimes at the same time. Even though their fried Oreo dessert was delicious, I’m vomiting and destroying a bathroom every half hour.
Ordered some Sushi on Their website. When ordering on the website there is no way to order side sauces (Spicy Mayo) so I asked for it in the special instructions. Paid with credit card on line and when I went to pick up, they asked for $1.75 fo the spicy mayo. Told them to charge it on the same card as I didn't have my wallet on me, they said they can't. In Front of me she took out the Spicy mayo out of the takeout bag and handed me my bag! I have spent thousands of dollars in this place in past few years, They lost me as a customer over a spicy mayo!
Disgusting and overpriced. You’d be better off getting food court food at the mall. Nothing authentic about this dump.
I am deeply disappointed by the appalling experience my family and I had with Soku, a place we’ve loyally ordered from almost weekly for over two years. Tonight, they delivered subpar sushi that was simply inedible—a shocking departure from the quality we had come to expect. Rather than taking ownership of this clear lapse, the restaurant concocted an absurd story, accusing the Uber delivery person of tampering with the food and replacing it with another product, all to shirk responsibility and avoid issuing a refund. This kind of evasive, dishonest behavior is disgraceful for any business, let alone one that claims to value its customers. The manager we spoke with was not only unwilling to address the issue professionally but seemed intent on escalating matters negatively, showing zero regard for integrity or customer service. Such a shortsighted, defensive approach reveals a lack of insight into what it means to run a successful business for the long term. After this experience, we will absolutely not be ordering from them again. To anyone considering trying them out: think twice. This place has lost both its quality and its credibility.
Ordered the soku dinner (kosher style) and very disappointed with my order. For $34 I only got 4 types of fish when they could’ve given me any combination of salmon, tuna, ikura, wild king salmon, fluke, red snapper, yellowtail, mackerel. They cheap out and this is not right…

Because they have the worse food and the sauce smells like smoke and burned. The brown rice is burned and doesn’t taste good. I ordered the special lunch menu.
