Super creamy hot chocolate with hot Rakomelo and very nice service. Tourist Prices but hey - it's a Tourist Spot ;-)

We stopped here for a drink one evening to take in the view of the Acropolis. The wonderful Narges greeted us, sat us at a table with the view and a lovely lady (red hair) took our drinks order promptly. We enjoyed our drinks and complimentary snacks and had a very nice conversation with Narges. The atmosphere was relaxed, views beautiful and it was a lovely way to end our evening in Athens. Highly recommend!

Good place, with good enough coffes and a nice vibe. Everything is pretty expensive but the place is right in front of the Acropolis, so the prices make sense. The waitresses were really nice and respectful.

Wir waren die letzten 2 Tage auf ein Frühstück und 2 mal auf einen Aperol spritz am Nachmittag hier. Das Frühstück ist eigentlich wie überall sonst auch nichts besonderes. Der Aperol spritz allerdings kostet zwar 10 Euro, also etwas mehr als anderswo, aber er ist wirklich einer der besten die ich je getrunken.

Harika bir cadde üzerinde güzel bir kafe. Biz kokteyllerimizi içtik. Ben içtiğim kokteyli çok beğendim. 1 kokteyl 3 biraya 34 Euro ödedik. Masamızdan suyumuzu eksik etmediler. Akropolis manzarası vardı. Manzarayı aşağıdan cadde üzerinden görebildiğiniz güzel bir yer. Akşam henüz hava yeni kararırken oturduk hava karardığında manzara daha da güzelleşti. Sotiviç bizimle ilgilendi oldukça misafirperver ve yakın davrandı. Kesinlikle Atina ya geldiğimizde tekrar geleceğiz.

Bardzo przyjemne miejsce, położone blisko Akropolu, które mimo turystycznej lokalizacji wyróżnia się przyjaznym podejściem do gości. Nie ma tu presji, by szybko zjeść i wyjść. Zatrzymaliśmy się na coś słodkiego oraz drinka – baklawa była świeża i bardzo słodka, grecki jogurt ze świeżymi owocami i miodem był po prostu pyszny. Drinki bardzo dobre, ładnie podane, do drinków została podana bezpłatnie przekąska. Pani, która nas obsługiwała, była niezwykle miła i pomocna, co sprawiło, że nasza wizyta była jeszcze przyjemniejsza. Warto tu usiąść w czasie przerwy podczas zwiedzania okolicy.

Leuke plek om koffie te drinken in de geweldige sfeer van de Plakka. Goede koffie vlotte bediening en gezellig terras. Dat er verschillende reisleiders op het terras zaten geeft aan dat deze plek ok is.

Ένα καφέ απέναντι από το μέτρο σε ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά μέρη της Αθήνας. Πλήθος κόσμου. Άλλοι μπορούν να το βρούμε καλό άλλοι να διατηρηθούν. Εγώ καταθέτω την δική μου εμπειρία. Είχαμε νοικιάσει ένα δωμάτιο στη διπλανή πολυκατοικία. Το βράδυ είπαμε να ανοίξουμε ένα κρασί. Τιρμπουσόν δεν υπήρχε. Κατέβηκα στο Crescendo. Ένας ευγενεστατος ιδιοκτήτης όχι μόνο μου άνοιξε ο ίδιος το μπουκάλι αλλά μου έδωσε και πακετακια ξηρών καρπών για να χαρούμε. Αυτές οι κινήσεις μέσα σε μια τουριστική Αθήνα είναι που κάνουν την διαφορά. Οπότε θα βρίσκομαι εκεί θα πηγαίνω για καφέ. Μπορεί να μην είναι ο καλύτερος αλλά θα ξέρω ότι τον έκαναν ζεστοί άνθρωποι

This is a lovely cosy cafe just outside the acropolis train station in Athens, Greece, and only 2mins walk from the monumental historic Acropolis site!. The staff here are polite and kind. The service is great. Their cappuccino is smooth, rich and delightful, one of the best I've ever had, it comes with a little nice cookie, but the price is about 5 euros 💶, (I ve had two cups for that price!). The crescendo is a great spot to sit and unwind. it gives you the best view for tourists and other activities happening around the acropolis.

We didn’t order any food but stopped in for a coffee on our way back to the hotel after shopping & dinner. The blues music drew us in and we wound up staying for a couple hours. After our coffee, we each had a drink (ask Nick about his espresso martini) and shared stories with the staff. It was the perfect end to the day. Definitely going back.

We gave local Greek beverages the test! We wanted to try the local Greek alcohol and so we decided to give this place a try. It was great! By the way drinks in Greece are really cheap! 4 euros for a drink! That's a steal! We asked the server to bring us local drinks and he served us Tsipouro, a grape-distilled spirit scented with anise. We also tried Ouzo a strong alcoholic made out of pure ethyl alcohol flavored with anise and possibly other spices. Lastly we drank mastiha - a liqueur seasoned with mastic, a resin with a slightly pine or cedar-like flavor gathered from the mastic tree, a small evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region. By the end of it, let us say I had trouble standing up and walking. Luckily our hotel was just round the corner - so we made it back okay. I had a bit of a headache the next day. But it was worth the experience!

The service is incredibly nice. With that i recommend having a drink here after a beautiful tour of the Acropolis, the atmosphere is great and we certainly don't regret it. A cold beer with a bite to eat, why not? I recommend 😍

A casual cafe at the centre of Athens next to the Acropolis metro station. Nice for a quick bite, coffee or drink, takeway option is also available. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available for the customers. It is an inexpensive one, helpful and polite staff.

Lovely place for a sunny midday stop on a tour of the Acropolis, Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium. Coffee was lovely but lukewarm. Make sure you ask for extra hot. Spinach and Rustic Cheese pies, delicious.

The Americano coffee of €5 seems a bit expensive but you get a big cup of coffee. The doughnut was quite dry. If i came here again i would try another pastry. Still it was nice to sit here for a short break from walking around the city.

Heerlijke Frappé gedronken met lekkere zoete warme koek. Heerlijk na het bezoek aan de Akropolis nog even met uitzicht daarop.

Wenn du in der Nähe bist, geh ins Crescendo Café, hol dir einen Slushy – und lass dir von der verrückten, superlustigen Bedienung den Tag versüßen! 😄 Der Slushy ist eiskalt, fruchtig und einfach genial bei Hitze – genau das Richtige, um kurz runterzukommen und sich zu erfrischen. Aber was den Besuch wirklich unvergesslich macht, ist das Team: laut, herzlich, etwas verrückt – und einfach zum Liebhaben! Man wird sofort in gute Laune versetzt, selbst wenn man mit schlechter Laune kommt. Das Café selbst ist klein, charmant und unkompliziert – genau so, wie man es sich wünscht, wenn man einfach kurz durchatmen und Spaß haben will. Fazit: Ein cooler Ort mit coolen Getränken und noch cooleren Menschen. Unbedingt hingehen, einen Slushy schnappen und sich den Tag retten lassen! 🧊🍓😎💥

Lugar perfecto para tomar algo fresquito o un café tranquilo, unas vistas increíbles y en la misma calle de la acrópolis, muchísima gente porque no puede ser más céntrico, lo que no me gustó fue que los dos chicos jóvenes (chica y chico) no estaban por lo que tenían que estar, además tampoco hacían por entendernos, entiendo que tengo que hablar un poco inglés pero a ver nativo no soy, solo que aquí en Barcelona nosotros nos esforzamos para los turistas y allí ellos no, habían sitios que si no sabías griego, apaga y vámonos. ES CARÍSIMO y no saben lo que es un café con leche porque allí va de otra manera. El 95% es café y el otro 5 es crema de leche en tarrina.

Θα είμαι ειλικρινής. Η τοποθεσία το σώζει καθώς πίνεις καφέ ή ποτό με θέα την Ακρόπολη. Το προσωπικό είναι πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό σε αντίθεση με πολλά σχόλια που διάβασα. Όμως, η ποικιλία πχ που πήραμε είχε 12€ αλλά ήταν πολύ μέτρια ποιοτικά, πιάτο πρόχειρο σαν να το έχεις κόψει στο σπίτι βιαστικά, όλο τυριά και ντομάτες. Αγγούρι ούτε καν ολόκληρο. Επίσης ήταν πολύ ενοχλητικός ο καπνός από τα τσιγάρα. Εξωτερικός χώρος μεν, κοντινά τραπέζια όμως και εφόσον σερβίρει και φαγητό αυτό ήταν το πιο απαράδεκτο για μένα.

Classico locale turistico. Ci siamo fermati per fare una piccola sosta e abbiamo preso un caffè. Troppo caro il prezzo (3€). Sicuramente bella la vista sull'acropoli.

Prezzo furto. Il cameriere ci ha chiesto di stringerci in 4 in un tavolino per far sedere più persone, non molto simpatico. I prodotti da forno erano buoni però

Crescendo Cafe, near Acropolis Museum, offers good coffee but lacks fresh pastries. Waiters and owners are really pushy to take your order and clean as sson as you finish. Also very expensive compared to the quality and freshness of food. I would suggest only drink a cup of coffee and go. Great spot though.

Coffee quality was dissapointing, for the spoon you have to ask extra (!?!). The service is kind of cold, the waitress seemed to be unhappy to be at work that day. Would not go there again. It's in front of acropolis museum, prices are high, but service for those prices could be decent.

En el día hoy estuve aquí intentando tomarme un aperitivo y de primeras me hicieron moverme de mesa como tres veces, después de cambiarme no me querían limpiarme la mesa y las palabras de un trabajador textualmente fue me dijo si estás así te vas del sitio. Cuando solo le habíamos pedido que me limpiara la mesa y sus comportamiento y su atención fue muy desagradable. No son todos así de desagradables pero esa atención uno no se la merece y encima viniendo a turistear. Teniendo en cuenta el precio también se va de las manos. Ya que pedí solo lo que se ve en la foto, Nose si me estafan o que ya.

Se puderem evitar, evitem! Atendimento dos mais secos e apressados que já vi. Eramos obrigados a tomar duas cervejas grande para ter dois copos. Só queríamos dividir uma cerveja para um brinde rápido, tomar uma água, comprar 2 salgados e ir andando. Desistimos de comer e vamos para outro local. Evitem!

I would rate the “sausage pie” zero out of five. It’s just a very skinny hot dog, and not a very good one at that, wrapped up in a much larger bun. The rest of the party I was with got food that looked much better and they seemed very satisfied with it.

Χάρηκα που βρήκα ένα καφέ ανοιχτό νωρίς το πρωί και πήγα εκεί για πρωινό, παρακινημένη από τις καλές κριτικές. Μου απάντησαν αγενώς ότι ήταν κλειστοί, ενώ το καφέ ήταν ήδη ανοιχτό και τα φρέσκα προϊόντα ήταν εκτεθειμένα. Η κυρία ήταν αγενής, δεν είπε ούτε καλημέρα και έκανε μόνο χειρονομίες με τα χέρια. Πραγματικά αξίζουν αρνητικές κριτικές. Όποιος δεν έχει όρεξη να δουλέψει, καλύτερα να μείνει στο σπίτι!

Nos han timado con 2 cortados 4€ cada uno, 8€ ambos. Acabábamos de llegar a Atenas y no sabíamos los precios hemos vuelto al día siguiente y hemos comprobado que 1,70€ cada uno. Cuidado con el turista engañan!

Muy mal atendidos coma después de pedir cuando te pasan la cuenta te cobran 1 € más por cada producto coma además por un café expreso 3,20 €. Un sitio bien ubicado y que atienden fatal y cobran mucho.

Increible, quieres ir al baño y aunque sea una necesidad urgente , hasta que no pagues no te dan el código, independientemente de si hay 1 o 15 personas haciendo cola. Cero empatia y cero humanidad.

Pedí dos cafés con leche y la camarera se río de nosotros. 5€ cada café cuando el precio marcaba 2,80€ argumentando que ese precio era sólo si se pedía para llevar. Típico bar que vive de estafar guiris. No nos dieron ticket y no nos dejaron pasar al baño. Nefasto sin duda.

Lady at the counter who takes orders in the morning is extremely rude and short to customers. Seems like they don’t want to be bothered at all when customers have a question or concern. They are very impatient and not friendly. They kicked my group out after sitting for less than 5 minutes and said it would be an up charge to eat and drink in that area. Coffee was mid, not worth it. Croissant was okay.

I would rate this Crescendo Cafe zero out of five. Google rating scales should be improved to include zero for the cheating shops. Don’t go. It’s a trap for tourists. The price tags do not list the eat-in prices. I ordered some food for about 7 euros, but I was finally charged for 16 euros. The owner was very arrogant when I asked her why it’s more than doubled. So ugly!

Tourist Trap! Be careful when ordering food … if you stand or sit by the bar counter inside the cafe (not even sitting at the table and chairs outside), you will get charged double the prices (not a surcharge) that you see on display. Such a pity, because the pies and coffee were really good. The lady behind the counter is very arrogant.

This was an appalling experience — frankly, the woman who talked to us should not be working with people at all, let alone in a public-facing role. Her attitude was aggressively disrespectful, dismissive, and completely devoid of even the most basic human decency. It was less “bad service” and more a display of open hostility. Someone that incapable of showing the slightest professionalism or courtesy has no business interacting with the public in any capacity. It was genuinely shocking — we left immediately, and frankly, we regret even walking in.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this place. We were attended by a lady who was extremely rude and impolite from the very beginning. Dishonest: overcharged for tourist!!! We stopped at this café before our Acropolis tour just to grab some water, as our guide advised. Everywhere in Athens, small bottles of water are supposed to be €0.50 – it’s a standard price, and I bought them for that amount at three other places the same day. Here, I picked up 5 small bottles from the refrigerator, and the woman at the counter told me they were €1 each – no explanation, no reason. I paid €5 for something that should have cost half that. This café is dishonest and takes advantage of tourists. Avoid it if you don’t want to be ripped off for basic necessities

This bar/bakery is one of the biggest scams in Athens. The prices displayed in the windows — alongside not-so-great food — are not the prices you’ll find on your bill if you decide to sit at the tables outside. Each item on the receipt will be increased by between €1 and €1.50. Of course, no one will tell you that when you’re ordering. For example, here a 0.5L bottle of water costs €4. The service is generally poor, but that won’t stop them from expecting a tip.

Very bad. We left there upset with the feeling that we had been deceived. One tiny cappuccino cost 5 euros (while the average price for a large mug in the city is less than 2 euros). The mushroom pie was over-fried, too much oil, tasteless. I do not recommend visiting.
