I have been going to this place and having food delivered from this place since 2019. It's time I give them some attention for their service of good food. When I want some breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this place is one of my go-to spots, whether for pickup or delivery. My favorites, everything!

Menudo was really good! But around 7:15 am the morning was cold outside, inside was also cold, they had the doors open and AC on.. I was going to eat inside but it was to cold. Definitely I recommend the menudo soup.

This place is absolutely marvelous the food is awesome I’m an excellent cook so food has to be spectacular the menu is filled with everyone’s favorite so the entire family can enjoy the menu is basic Texmex Americana fresh delicious excellently prepared even when you order delivery it’s still great . Thank you Lucky for letting me take break from my own kitchen and have to same excellence as if I prepared it myself😘

Good tasting food,although most of the employees are a bit rude they show no interest aesthetic helping in serving customers most of the time they waste too much time talking about personal stuff which leads and then giving the customers the food cold it's a nice restaurant been going there for years but I suggest to make it better issue just rehire whole new staff from cashier cook and cleaning crew sometimes I have to ask for a rag to clean the table where I'm going to sit to eat even though they tell me it's ready for us to sit down and eat it's a shame because you have a good menu it's a nice relaxing Cafe to sit down and eat by then spending too much time with personal conversations they forget to clean after customers are done eating , I suggest as a long term customer to either retrain your staff to be more courteous and friendly to customer to be more patient and natural rude or maybe just rehire a whole new staff last time I was there was feb 23 Most of the employees where the same except for a couple young gentleman which I can't remember their name but if you look in the HR department they were hired not too long ago I go there every week and the week prior to the week that I said I went they were not there I would like to give an excellent review on these couple of young man they were courteous friendly fast and very polite these are the kind of people Lucky Star Cafe should have working there I go to a clinic across the street every week once a week but it was very discouraged to go there because of the attitude of the employees that have been there for a while I had my lunch I use the restroom on my way out I asked if I could have just a cup of ice water between my husband and my kids we spend $46 plus tip and I believe that was either the manager or the cook that told one of these friendly gentleman to charge me for that I did make a point to tell them I just needed a small glass just to take some diabetes medication that I have to take but the manager said it didn't matter that I would have to pay.... I didn't expect an answer like the new nice gentleman that helped me seemed a bit embarrassed but I told them not to worry have to keep up the good work unfortunately most of the places have that management. I ended up by thanking him for his good service and ask them not to get discouraged just to do his job the best you can just like he has been doing and it's only because of him that I might consider bringing my family back to eat there. He was very polite and thank me for it and even apologized for his coworkers. That's a shame cuz like I said I've been going there for years and years the food is very good Kalos homemade style and now I really have to think twice before I go it's a shame that because of lack of experience or lack of Common Sense these nice cafes might one day and up broke YouTube lack of customers I would suggest taking your employees to a seminar I'm how to treat people right now our country is going through so much that this is at least we expect from anyone right now we should be more united than ever. I've only been here once but I really liked it. The food and service was great. Every one is nice and friendly. Plenty of space good for families and large groups. And yes it's clean

This place has the best customer service. Very friendly. Food is resonably priced. Food is fresh and taste great. The selection of food is massive. Something for everybody. Clean restrooms require a token, free for customers. Highly recommended and I'll definitely be going back.

I order from ubereats today, it was our first time ordering from here & WOW! I got the Fajitas, they were SO good & tasty!! I was so happy to see my chili asado in the order! Thank you to the woman who pick up the phone! This restaurant made our day & we will order from here again! Totally worth it.

I really like Lucky Star. Food is always good. The servers are always polite & helpful. I love the oldies playing. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go for Burger Stand food & they also have very good Mexican food on menu to offer. Food is always fresh. Love they're onion rings! Great place to go!

The food selections were a surprise as to the variety. The ambiance was good, especially the piped-in audio system and the music played. The American food selections were served hot when necessary and cold when necessary. The food was better than fast food. The floors were being mopped and cleaned well with soap and water. They put in a good team effort.

Great find! Free water with dine-in, serve yourself while you wait. Cute outdoor seating available too, love the feel of the restaurant, homey. We tried many different meals. I LOVED the cheeseburger it came with a sauce similar to Big Mac and it was so amazing I got it twice! Fries were to die for! Plump and just seasoned perfectly, and generous amount. They even have breakfast, the waffles were good and perfectly priced. All of the staff are very friendly. Interestingly enough, you need a quarter to access the bathroom just something to keep in mind. Great food, great price, and they even have a drive thru!

Took my mom to Lucky Star in lawndale first time here - drive through excellent service fast and fresh. We loved their cheeseburger and fries , fish tacos were delicious and fresh good chicken hard shell tacos. all better than I’d have hoped. First time we’ll def see you again! Thank you! 🌮🍔🍟🥤

I had the Salmon dinner very tasty and plentyful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The out door patio is great for privacy. I always have a great meal been coming here for more than 10 years.

Went to a Rams game and took a right of the freeway instead of a left, but I'm glad I did. I wound up eating here and the food was awesome. Breakfast burrito was delicious and I heard the menudo was very good too.

I ordered Chile rellenos, a carne Asad taco and taquitos. The taquitos very nice, I prefer meatier but they were good. The Taco had enough meet for two tacos, great. The chili rellenos came with two, and very nice. The salsa a nice spicy salsa with oregano the prominent taste. It also came with a green salsa. Refried beans very good. This is a great simple mexican restaurant, I will come back

The fries were perfectly seasoned, and my garden burger was flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant itself is very clean with a welcoming atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot to dine. I’d definitely recommend it overall. The only downside was the meatless breakfast burrito, which I found bland and not nearly as enjoyable as the tasty burger.

When a place advertises they serve Menudo everyday of the week its a great sign. This menudo is by far the best in the southbay. $15.87 with tax is a good deal in these days. Everyone that works here is also full of joy.

U don't need a hangover to go have some bomb menudo from here. Delicious. Only size they have. Tried the waffle breakfast and it was delicious. Waffle was soft. 5/16/21 got the streak🥩 and eggs well done and a order is 3 stack pancakes 🥞

First visit to So.Cal. from New York and wanted good breakfast burrito. Did not disappoint! A huge ham burrito for 7.07. Split it with my daughter. Salsa- red and green, delish!

Great food! Breakfast burritos are yummy. Clean. I would give them a 5 star but the Restrooms smell horrible. I get a stomach ache with the faul smell almost makes me not want to eat. So if you go, wash your hands before you get there.

A really large selection, their new digital menu can be a bit much since the food flashes and changes. However they have a paper menu. The cleaning solution they use has a strong odor so the place smells odd. Probably better for take out.

Stopped in for a late supper recently, and happy we did. They were conveniently located on Marine, with ample parking available. My wife tried a chicken enchilada platter (w/ rices, beans & salad). I enjoyed the taco special (3 carne asada tacos). Both of us enjoyed their food. I am sure there is better, more authentic Mexican food, but they serve people quickly and do a good job. Will definitely be back on a future visit to the area. Great place.

Should warn people what type of cheese they use on omelets. I had to scrape it off. When I see cheese on the menu, I think real cheese. And the butter on bread tasted like grease.

July 8 ,2017 at the live in Long Beach about 4:30 PM mother went to the drive-through she got her turkey burger that she like no complaints on that I got the hamburger and fries no complaint take a plane come in at the Lipton raspberry tea no ice this is the third time this happened every time this young man at the swindle never give ice in the cup he act like he cannot hear or he's too busy talking with the other guys that need to change called multiple times there it happened before we called they replaced her drink what ice then no problem he did not give us what we export we ask for seasoned salt instead of regular salt did after some hours went back to finish our unsalted onion rings found that not only the onion rings this homemade but someone battered the skins the brown skins of the onion the tough skins did not like it and I will talk to her and let me go in instead of going through the drive-through I suggest to all walk in when this guy is at the window or it's something else

This is a nice family friendly place with great food. Everytime I go down to see my family in Hawthorne, this is one of the places I have to visit too. Although this is true, the service is kind of iffy. If taking out, I'd definitely check to see if the order is correct. The employees at this restaraunt also are very public about the way they feel, so if they are having a bad day or don't like you they will show it. It seems as though since its more of a family owned establishment rather than part of a big industry they seem to think they can do and act however way they would like to but they shouldn't (coming from someone who has worked in food service before).

I just came from here been coming to this location for over 10 years I ordered two Sausage breakfast sandwiches and when I get home I have two Bacon sandwiches and the place wasn't busy I seen 5 people in the kitchen and only 2 was cooking please do better I spent 19 dollars for the wrong items yall are to damn high to not get it right

I'm not sure if it was because it was Sunday morning, but the coffee tasted burnt. I tried two different batches and neither one was good.

Breakfast Burrito was fair. Other things on the menu looked good. Service was ok Female Front attendant was great, friendly, patient, attentive. But I greeted others with "good morning" a couple of times, no response. Cat calling and "chaww" audible when I walked in and unnecessarily followed on my way out. Staff could improve on professionalism. Probably won't be back. But Thank you

Disappointed. My Chile Relleno turned out to be an Omelet with 2 Anaheim stuffed peppers. I would have not been Disappointed if it would at least had some flavor. Hashbrown was soo thick it was raw from center.

We ordered omelets. The eggs were overcooked. The cook placed 2 slices of processed American cheese on top. I ordered mushrooms and tomato in mine- they were clearly not fresh. The coffee was bitter. The place appeared clean in the front did not use restrooms. Would not return.

But I was also in the mood for French toast 🫠 I found this restaurant on Uber eats. I was really disappointed with the salsa they used for their eggs. I was also disappointed with their beans. You can taste the can, in their salsa and beans. They do not use fresh ingredients. They used can salsa and can beans. Now for their French toast, there was no sugar powder or any type of syrup or jelly, just bread dipped in egg 🫤 The only food I liked from them was their hashbrown. I will not be ordering from them again.

Let's just say we got a stomachache after eating here.This would be the second time here. The first time, I ordered nachos. To find out it wasn't real cheese and it was not that tasty, I didn't finish the food.There is so much in the menu that I began to wonder. How do you keep all those ingredients fresh? Food looks good. Service is alright. I don't know, maybe I'm planning to give it another chance. But they serve fake cheese? That is a No go for me. There weren't many customers inside, so that is a plus it isn't packed, and it is easy to find a table. (By the way, we order burgers and sandwich clubs.)

Let me first say this is the first time I've eaten here and I'd love to give it another try but not at $16. When I got home with my order there was no salsa. Carnitas tacos without salsa!! I requested salsa verde. The carnitas was dry, the rice had little flavor, and even with cheese on the beans it was void of flavor. It really needed the Salsa Verde! My local taco truck does a much better job.

Literally just bought pastrami Chilli cheese fries. Did not come with pastrami. Maybe if the staff wasn't just standing around talking to each other I would have gotten my correct order. Come on people it was one item.

I order from this place because it is cheap. That being said, you get what you pay for and they CONSISTENTLY get the orders wrong. Just yesterday, I received my food, only to realize it was not what I ordered. Disappointing and distasteful. This is a pattern of behavior by this place. Horrible service. I came in on a Sunday to have brunch with my family. I ordered a menudo along with other food for everyone else. Waited for my menudo for over 45 mins. Everyone was already done eating. I went up to see what's going on with my food and they told me that they never put down my food in my order. They didn't say sorry or try to make the situation better. It was more of a oh well. Been coming here a couple times and every time it's something wrong. STAY AWAY!! don't waste your money here. This is the last time I would ever go. Horrible service and the food is what you pay for cheap. I would of been ok with an apology but they made it seem as if it was my fault that I didn't place the order right. Don't eat here!

I went yesturday at 1pm and again today at 12pm. Went to drive thru both times and had the same lady take my order. She was so rude. I would ask her for something and she would close the window on me. She doesn't know how to greet.... I asked her for her name to complain and she said it was Sarah

This is not the first time this happens to me at this place. I just went and they have very VERY poor customer service, they did not listen to what I specifically ordered, they gave me my food, I checked it before I left and I was unhappy! When I told the guy who gave me my food he made it wrong, can you believe he told me to just scrape off what I didn’t want on it! Finally after explaining my order to him for the 3rd time he went with a attitude dragging his feet mumbling under his breath and re made the food and of course it came back all sloppy and lacked flavor.

I ordered the chicken kabob to take to work for my lunch in the morning- it’s only 30 mins, so I don’t have a lot of time to waste. I hear the man in the kitchen angrily screaming as to why I ordered that and another man that they had no rice. It’s funny because then the person behind me ordered a steak burrito. I won’t be back. They are so rude, short, and have no filter. I don’t need to spend any money here.

I had high hopes for this place when I entered it, it seemed nice, but the service… One thing that bothered me was how you would see your order ready to be delivered to you— a waitress would pick it up and be on their way to you but then go back to the counter where your food was before, then come back to you. I hated that, like if you have my food just bring it to me, you should know it’s mine. At one point the waitress was giving my father’s menudo to another table the waitress took it back to the counter top went back to the table then the people at that table told the waitress that the menudo was for our table. That wasn’t cool. I noticed after that the other table did have 2 menudos but it seemed as thought the waitress had no idea. Secondly and this was the deal breaker for me, they put the receipt of my order inbetween my French toast, that was just appalling, I don’t want my food to be touching anything foreign. It was just disgusting. The employees who deliver food don’t have aprons, these people can just come from their houses and start serving you food, that does not follow the health guidelines. Lastly, the servers and just about everyone I saw working here were slow, there’s no hustle everyone is taking their sweet time to deliver food, and do their tasks, I didn’t like seeing that. Won’t be coming back. Really hope they can improve though. So they kind of redeemed themselves, they gave me a new plate of French toast and they were delicious, I appreciated that, thank you. At the end I also saw some workers picking up the slack. There’s hope for this place yet.

My first time ordering and definitely my LAST! So I ordered the pozole plate and what I received was whatever was left from the pan ! Literally didn’t have nothing but soup and on top of that it had no flavor! To say I was disappointed is a understatement ….. and it came with some stale tortilla chips that where probably from a couple days ago ! Payed 12.00 for caldo LITERALLY !!!

I ordered the poloze through doordash. They did not pack the sides which include cabbage, onion and lemon. To top of the missing items they did not include utensils. WAY OVER PRICE for the dollar amount of the dish and service you get. I would never go back!

I occasionally go to lucky star and order the my regular meal. I ordered a chili cheese fries through drive thru right before closing time. The parking lot lights turned off and it was dark. I'm sure they're were excited to leave and gave me my order quickly. I noticed I didn't have a fork for my fries so I went back to ask for a fork. But the male worker rudely blew me off and said we're closed, I don't understand why you guys would be very rude to me if I was just asking for a fork. That guy needs to work on his customer service..

Lucky Star has always been a go to spot for my family and I. But unfortunately we will not be returning. We went to have dinner and noticed that one of the ladies working there had her finger all over the inside of her mouth. Right behind the counter by the coffee machines. She did not wash her hands after the fact. We were so grossed out. Before we left I did let the young lady that took our order know. She mentioned that the lady had braces and was probably readjusting her bands. Not a reason to do that and then continue to prepare fries and bag food and not wash her hands. I would definitely not even give them one star.

Ive been here a few times and the food hasnt always been that great but this time The food looked and tasted Disgusting. I ordered fried shrimp My mom ordered fish and chips both orders were so gross. The food was greasy and burnt Had No flavor at all. I'm never coming here again. What a waste. Worst $30 I ever spent.

I give this place a one star because the food is bad overall. And they forgot my ranch dressing. And when I asked for it, the girl was rude. Liked this place better when it was Golden Eagle. Customer service no longer exists.

The staff flat-out refused to accommodate a simple request and didn’t even try to be helpful about it. No explanation, no alternatives just attitude. If you don’t want to accommodate customers, maybe don’t run a restaurant. Definitely won’t be coming back.

I went here 9/3/25.. Got a breakfast burrito from here turkey sausage, Eggs,Hashbrown..the burrito is the worst burrito i ever had it is was dry cheese forgot to melt,just all together awful food..that thick yellow stuff is unmelted cheese it was awful...

This was the meat for the burger I've never seen this color hamburger meat! Also, tried to call in my order as soon as they picked up they put me on hold. Drove all the way to the restaurant while still being on hold! The same person that picked up phone was at the drive thru however, there was no one ahead of me and another cashier was handling walk in customer so I fail to see why I was placed on hold and ultimately ignored. To top that off when I get home I see this disgusting sad looking hamburger! So disappointed!
