What a charming café. And the Cafecito is served in adorable coffee cups. I ordered the breakfast burrito and I’m not gonna lie, I had a bit of sticker shock as far as the price was concerned. But when it came, I understood the price. This was literally the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had in my life.
I believe it was the owner who took our order. He took the time to explain to us all the different styles of coffee he offers from the region of Mexico in which he’s from. We even got to taste the powders. It was so kind of him to do that for us. Because of that, we made such excellent choices for our coffee (Mayan mocha and mazapán latte) We shared the chilaquiles with chorizo. Holy cow man, those are the absolute truth 💥🧨🔥. I can’t wait to try more coffees and food options from here. Definitely come here and support this shop. You won’t regret it. I’ll be back! Gracias señor dueño por todo.
Great place. The chilaquiles verdes with carne asada and chicken were delicious, the breakfast wrap was filling, and the berry pancakes were fluffy. The Vanilla Latte was good but the Tascalatte(warm) and Mayan Mocha(cold) were excellent too. Friendly service, highly recommend. Muy bueno🔥
This is a cozy and vibrant cafe centered on Higuera street With indoor and outdoor door seating. The servers are very welcoming and take their time to explain the different menu options. Honestly looking around at the food being served everything looked delicious. We decided to try the Mayan mocha which was so delicious ! It’s creamy chocolate with hints of cinnamon and espresso. Definitely going back for that one. My husband ordered the Tescalatte which is a roasted corn latte. He really enjoyed the unique flavor. It wasnt too sweet and had smooth texture. The guava pastry was really good it was warm with a flaky crust and delicious guava cheese center. We would 100% recommend this place
The food was exceptional!! We ordered the Pollo Tamales Plate, The Chilaquiles and the Jalapeño with Cheese Tamale. Everything was absolutely delicious!! We are hoping to come back on our next trip. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly, Must try the coffees too!!❤️
Beautiful cozy little coffee spot in SLO. There was an indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and helpful. We tried the Mayan mocha and expresso. My elderly mother really enjoyed her Sunday afternoon people watching and enjoying her coffee. The coffee was sooo good! Hints of chocolate and cinnamon. We also tried a pastry which was flaky and flavorful. We will be back again soon!
Delicious food and drink, and great service! It’s rare to see a vegetarian pozole on the menu, so I had to try it out. Highly recommend this, even my 5 year old daughter loved it! We fought over who got the leftovers. The breakfast wrap was equally delicious. I opted for an oatmilk latte (which was great), but wish I would’ve tried one of their specialty drinks! The atmosphere was fun, vibrant and cozy. Service was great too! The young man behind the counter was friendly and gracious. Another man (I’m guessing the owner?) came by and checked in on our meal and chatted a bit with us- super friendly!
Doing a road trip had to stop for breakfast great choice for a mom and pop meal. Great coffee and tasty food like I’m eating at my moms house great stop will come again. Very nice people!
Just amazing! We went there twice during our visit and the young man that helped us both times was so helpful about the latte options. On the second visit he helped us get our to go order in time for us to catch our flight. Great tasting crafted coffee drinks. Highly recommend!
Service is great! Food came out quickly! Had enough time to sit down and enjoy while on my lunch break— hard to find a place, order and eat in under 30 minutes in Downtown SLO. Chicken tamales à la carte, so so so good. A little gem!
It’s a beautiful place. The food is soooo good, my boyfriend and I loved it. Both of us ordered huevos rancheros but we add carne asada one of them and was amazing. And also we ordered pancakes 🤩 Was a good portion and tasty
So thrilled to finally check out Corazon Cafe! The mocha was heavenly 🤤 my wrap was sooooo good and the asada was really tender and flavorful! My husband had the chilaquiles and loved the grilled chicken too. The service was quick and everyone was so friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!!! Thanks for an amazing breakfast 💛
Authentic food, community gathering place, super friendly staff. They have exquisite handmade authentic crafts, and art!
Excellent spot for a Mexican breakfast! Several fun latte flavors & plenty of vegan options too. A really lovely spot in the SLO community!

Really great Mexican food, we got their breakfast chilaquiles and tamales with scrambled eggs. Obsessed with the multiple hot sauce choices on the table to add to our meal. The vibes were casual yet fun with the Mexican deco flair!
First time here and definitely will be returning! We ordered chile relleno with chicken tamale and chilaquiles with chorizo and cafe de olla. So delicious! I went back and ordered a concha and coyota - both were delightful! The staff were very friendly and provide great customer service. Hey here early because they get busy! The food and service were amazing - you will not be disappointed!
Fantastic spot! Staff was super friendly and it was a wonderful place to hang out for a bit. Plenty of space around lunch time on a week day. Chilaquiles were excellent and so was the horchata matcha latte.
The breakfast burrito had a ton of flavor, but could’ve used more eggs. I ordered mine with chicken and was almost all chicken. It was great, if you’re a meat lover. I was sad they didn’t have avocado either, but that’s just my preference. The chicken tacos were amazing! The hibiscus Arnold Palmer was delicious. The place is small, but colorful, with nice window seats and some outdoor seating, for good people watching in downtown SLO. Would definitely recommend, overall.
Corazon Cafe has won our hearts with its warm and welcoming staff and mouthwatering dishes. Their menu caters to all tastes, offering a little something for everyone. Our favorites include the chilaquiles con huevo and the cafe de olla. And let's not forget about their delicious special portobello sandwich - it's a must-try!
I love this place! I got the chilaquiles and devoured the whole plate. I also got Mama’s Matcha from their signature drinks and it is amazing! I would love to try more of the menu because everything I have had so far has been incredible. The decorations and atmosphere is also so cute and welcoming. The workers are kind and prompt. I recommend coming here!
I came here a few months ago and I kept forgetting to leave a review! I had the chilaquiles and the mocha drink and they were both super delicious. The chilaquiles were very authentic which reminded me of my mom’s cooking! That is a huge compliment. I am so glad to have came here, I moved from LA to SLO about 5 years ago and have never found a Mexican cafe that really impressed me until I came here. The music, the ambience, and the decorations made me feel so much at home. I love this cafe, I can’t believe I didn’t know about it when it first opened up! But I will be coming back
First visit and what a success! The owner is incredibly warm and inviting. The indoor space is cozy, and the outside seating is plentiful. So many delicious options, and the portions are generous enough for two. The coffee options were delightfully new to me, and both of our choices had different flavor profiles but were equally yummy. There is also a lovely artist shop, which was closed during our visit, but I will return during opening hours and with an excuse to try more of their menu. Highly recommend!
Tasty Chorizo burritos! They're big and served up in a grilled tortilla too. I had the Bidi Bidi Bon Bon and that was great. Stuff seems priced well for the value. Their location isn't that bigl but can manage some small groups. My order was to-go but packed up well.
Food is always incredible when i come here but i will never not order their mole chilaquiles when i go their that dish is to die for. Horchata is always worth it. Prices are a little high but dont surpass some other breakfeast places ive been to here in slo. If your a local or a tourist deciding on breakfeast i have your morning breakfeast already planned for you: Here

My partner ordered the breakfast wrap with carne asada and I had the birria chilaquiles (the daily special) and both were phenomenal. They had really unique drinks as well. Highly recommend this cute little establishment.
Great place for breakfast! We tried the tascalatte, which was really unique and delicious. For food, we had the chilaquiles and the green pozole. The chilaquiles were tasty, I just wished they were a bit more spicy, and the pozole was flavorful.

I had been eyeing this place for months, and finally decided to give it a try. That was mistake #1. I ordered a Mayan Mocha that's made with "chocolate from Chiapas". Ever had Nesquik chocolate milk? Yeah.. that's what it tasted like. As for the food, I thought I ordered chilaquiles, but instead got tortillas soaked in red-colored water. The worst attempt at chilaquiles I've ever had. Cute insta photos, but definitely flavorless food.
