Great place!! The fish fry is great! I think we had every kind! We should have got the baked potato instead they looked delicious!! The wait staff is awesome, quick and attentive too. They have specials and happy hour all week and the old fashioned are one of the best!! Next I want to try taco Tuesday and the margaritas!! Get there early and kinda hard to find parking but well worth it!

We truly enjoy Stan's Place. We are always greeted and most of the time they automatically bring our drinks remembering from previous visits. This makes us feel special and appreciated. The bartenders and waitresses are always working hard and very efficient delivering our fish dinner. The food is excellent, sometimes I wish my fish were a little bigger. That's my only small complaint because it's always delicious.

Wow, didn't expect much, not a bar person, stopped here on a whim Friday early afternoon hoping for an ok bite, spending weekend in Kenosha. Really nice surprise, mellow atmosphere in early PM, super good fried curds and fried cod as well, one of the best ones i ever had. Little slow getting food, but forgot about that after a few bites. Super nice server too. Glad we stopped by, hopefully some day again.

Was good, burger was great. Bartender wasn't too attentive to us. More interested in her friends from out of town. But otherwise was okay.

Really good food! We stopped by randomly after having gone to big star for years and always noticing people going in and out. It was a nice place to watch football and grab some food.

Stan's place has great food no doubt but don't go trying to chase a pot in their gaming room they'll close early so they can grab it for themselves either after close or before opening using house money I'm posting this for his family to know who's working for them .

Only one person working so slow service. But they had a great shrimp platter on special.

Good food, good prices. The setup is pretty nice, with plenty of seating and table space for eating the good food. The kitchen closes a little early for a bar setting, in my opinion. There's also a heated smoking room with gaming machines to cover all of your vices.

Glamorous bar food. . . Order the bluegill, if it is in season! Nice beer selections. Some tension being a black woman in there from some.... but if you are willing brush off the lack of ethnic diversity, then you'll find yourself enjoying a lively conversation with people at the bar, and good conversations with the bartenders. Stan's is a nice place to visit, comfortable as well as esthetic. The smoking area in the back was a huge plus for myself. 😉 However, to claim that they have the "best burgers in town", is quite the reach for ANY hamburger connoisseur... 😯 Happy hour I believe is 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., (correct me if I'm wrong) and I found it to be a delightfully reasonable price for the well rounded assortment of your choosing. 😊 Also, I am planning and look forward to a Friday night trip back to Stan's Place in order to try their Fish Fry that states on the sign, "Fantastic Friday Fish Fry".

We checked out Stan's Place for the first time for the fish fry on Friday night based on all the great reviews. It was great and definitely worth checking out! It is a small place and we got there about 5:00pm and were able to get a table. By the time we left around 6pm it was packed. I had the shrimp dinner with potato salad and it came with cole slaw and two small pieces of garlic bread. The shrimp dinner was amazing with 7 jumbo shrimp cooked perfectly with a generous serving of cocktail sauce. The sides of potato salad and cole slaw came in small plastic cups portion and were tasty. - just wish the portion was a bit bigger. The cole slaw was fresh and seemed like it was homemade with a mix of sweet and sour. The potato salad was good too and something different besides fries, but I don't think it was homemade. My husband had the walleye with fries and cole slaw and two pieces of garlic bread. He had 3 pieces of walleye that were slightly dry perhaps over cooked with tartar sauce. We have had much better walleye at other restaurants in the area. The fries were the standard small crinkle cut that were decent. The server was friendly when we first arrived and got our drinks and took our order right away. Our food did take a long time about 30 minutes to arrive at our table but it was a small place with I'm guessing a small kitchen plus they take to go orders which I noticed quite a few of those going out. You could tell the server seemed a bit over whelmed probably due to the crowd and she was not as attentive as we are used too but not a deal breaker by any means. The shrimp was excellent and we will go back to check out the cod and the burgers! All the food seemed fresh and made to order which is worth the wait! The bar itself is super clean with plenty of TVs and sport memorabilia - overall it was a very good first visit and we are looking forward to our next visit!

the food is good. I am not a regular here. Have been here about 3 times, and all 3 times I have noticed.... one bartender is always very nice and extremely friendly. the other bartender is always the exact opposite.

I only gave this establishment a 2 star because when we first arrived, the first waitress was amazing and welcoming, tending to our groups needs but a shift change happened and the 2nd bartender was not attentive and focused more on a gentleman who was sitting in the corner and seemed a lil to intoxicated already as she was drinking shots with other people and the food was just ok. May not be back here again.
