Awesome service although the food took awhile to arrive at the table. The chicken fajitas were good, especially with the freshly made flour tortillas. I was there during Happy Hour so it was louder than I expected. Overall, I'd happily return to try out more of their menu. Update 3/18/23 Quick, fast service during the latter part of lunch. Everything was fresh & tasted amazing! Thanks!
Nice restaurant good food and great service I had the pleasure to meet Johana my server she has great customer service she's really nice she made sure I had a great experience I went in friday for lunch with my family and we had such a great time
I really like this place. I ordered takeout, but like what I saw when I went in to pick up my order. Almost went back today to dine in, but had too many runs to make. Will definitely go back in the next couple of days to eat in. Food was delicious. I finally found a chicken soup that I like as much as the restaurant I frequented in West Virginia, before I moved here two years ago. Interaction with the staff was very pleasant! Highly recommend!
What can I say but Wow!!! The chicken empanadas 10/10 the fajita for 2 were more than enough for me and my wife. The drinks had a generous amount of alcohol and the service was perfect. This is my go to mexican restraunt starting today!!!
The warm welcoming atmosphere was very conducive to relaxation after a stressful day. Thank you for making a great margarita flight. I enjoyed it very much. They were strong and to the point.
Great in every category! Wonderful atmosphere; delicious food; terrific service; very affordable and tremendous value! Amazing that they aren’t inundated with patrons but upside is you have no problem getting a table.
Sat down for a late afternoon Tex Mex meal. Lunch menu service stops at 3pm. Restaurant began to fill rather rapidly up to 5pm. Local must know about this gem. Had Enchiladas suizas, they are as good as same selection at Papasitos, only more product at a better value. I guess I'd forgotten or lost hope for a good salsa at my visits to Mex food restaurants. However, Alicia's gets the salsa formula just perfect for me. Not to spicy, not killed with cilantro etc... very very good food and service.
One of the best restaurant food I’ve had, this tasted so good, like an home made dish, it was fresh and busting with flavors. We had the fajita combo a combination of beef and shrimp and then the chicken fajita. It was a good portion for three adults and a child very feeling too. staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the portions to us. Definitely recommend checking it out!!
Best Mexican restaurant I have visited in a while. The food was like homemade, when I say very tasty like everything was well seasoned and just perfect. We were four in number, we ordered the Chicken fajitas ($40.96) two people serving and Beef steak ($50.95) two people serving as well which was the STAR OF THE SHOW, lol. The portions were more than enough, we only had to get extra rice which was less than ($5) for a bowl. It was my nephew’s birthday, they had birthday cake for ($5) only and they sang for him, it was really nice. The service was really good, we had a good time. CHECK OUT THE PICTURES AND VIDEO!!!
Stopped in at about 5 pm on a Saturday. The place was not busy or crowded about 20 patrons total. Randomly chose the place from Google. I had Ground Beef Nachos and a Strawberry Margarita-I have no complaints! The food was tasty and the waiter was very attentive. I must admit, when I first sat down I thought the place was too pricey ($40-$50 menu items) but upon further examination..I think they are reasonably priced.
Wow, what a delightful dining experience! I recently tried the vegetarian enchiladas at Alicia's Mexican Grill, and it was love at first bite! The spinach and mushroom enchiladas were incredibly flavorful, and the accompanying Mexican rice and beans were the perfect complements. I couldn't get enough of it! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure I had everything I needed. The cozy atmosphere added to the charm, making me feel right at home. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine or just looking for a delicious meal, Alicia's is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes! 5 stars and highly recommended!
Came here last night just out of the blue since it’s close to our house upon walking in we weren’t greeted properly The lady that was working last night sat us down and never returned. Somebody from the back did end up eventually bringing us some chips and salsa. We got 2 cups of water. One of the cups of water had a bug in it. The actual bartender was the one to take our order and bring us our food if it wasn’t for him, I don’t think we would’ve ate. Nobody came and checked on us the entire time other than him in mind that he was the bartender I won’t return here and plus the food was not good. I can’t prove without 100% but it felt like racist. There were other people of other races sitting down and eating and were being tended to the entire time.
Very disappointed with how the staff handled our issue. We ordered chicken tenders for our 1 year old, and as we cut into it they were completely raw inside. I didn’t think to take a picture because I’m not usually one to write reviews, but after how the manager handled it, I felt I needed to. They replaced it with grilled chicken but tried to charge us for it unless we left it behind, without apologizing for how our meal came out. She was only worried about the bill. Poor customer service, especially from the manager. The waiter, on the other hand, was professional, very apologetic and handled the situation the best he could.
No desire to listen to what you want. If it’s not prepared correct and you ask them for something else. You will not get what you want. I wouldn’t go again. I wouldn’t go if you have any food allergies. They attempt to force it on you even after you tell them.
I come here all the time and get the same waiter (older guy) got him again and today was the first day i came here and did not feel good about the experience I got here around 1115 there was only 2 other people in the entire place the waiter comes out see me standing in the entrance and just walked to the bar so i said are we supposed to just sit down he said yes get to the booth he ask what i want to drink told me to tell him when I'm ready so when i said i am as I'm trying to complete my order he is picking up the menu while I'm still ordering (chicken quesadilla, rice and beans) . Again its 3 people (including me) in total in the whole restaurant later i get my meal around 1145 and my food is not hot my rice wasn't even lukewarm beans were still kinda warm and my quesadilla were lukewarm like it had been ready and sat for a while before they were brought to me. Which is why i keep mentioning the total of people because they had just opened at 11 this was not the experience. He also checked in on me once since he had brought my food to me. 12/29/25
Sunday evening. Only 3 tables at the dining room the server was very polite and attentive. We ordered drinks the drinks took about 12 minutes to arrive. The bartender seemed to be focus on his bar tables. We ordered food. My wife got tortilla soup and I got the chile relleno (which was very tasty) however as I was eating I grabbed the second tortilla and underneath there was a piece of what looked like a previous table left it there ( as you can see in my picture) I was disgusted and asked the server to remove my half way eaten food. Management should pay more attention to this details.
Title: A Cinco de Mayo Disappointment at Alicia's: A Review On the vibrant occasion of Cinco de Mayo, my wife and I embarked on a culinary adventure to Alicia, a Mexican restaurant nestled in Houston, Texas. With high hopes of experiencing the true essence of Mexican cuisine, our anticipation was palpable. However, what transpired was far from the celebratory feast we had envisioned. From the outset, it was evident that Alicia's failed to deliver on its promise of authenticity and quality. As the plates arrived, adorned with lackluster presentations, our enthusiasm waned with each disappointing bite. The rice, a cornerstone of Mexican cuisine, was a disheartening revelation - mere Zatarain's rice masquerading as the real deal. The guacamole, purportedly homemade, betrayed its store-bought origins, while the lobster, promised as a delicacy, revealed itself to be a mere imitation. Even the taco shells, a symbol of Mexican street food culture, lacked the crispness and flavor one would expect, betraying their stale and inauthentic nature. To compound our disappointment, the condiments on offer - from the expired hot sauce bottle to the jarred salsa - further emphasized the lack of care and attention to detail. However, the most disheartening moment came when our waitress, in a rare display of candor, admitted to abstaining from the very food she served. Her confession served as a stark reminder of the culinary letdown we were experiencing on this festive occasion. Reluctant to cause a scene, we quietly noted our grievances and left the majority of our meals untouched. Even the frozen margaritas, a beacon of hope in an otherwise lackluster spread, failed to impress, leaving us yearning for the vibrant flavors and authenticity that should have defined this Cinco de Mayo celebration. While it pains me to recount this experience, the truth must be told. Alicia's, on this auspicious day of celebration, fell short of delivering the culinary experience we had hoped for. As we bid farewell to this establishment, I can only hope that they take heed of this feedback and strive for excellence in their future endeavors, especially on occasions as significant as Cinco de Mayo.
We ordered catering from Alicia’s and it was the WORST catering experience we ever had. This was for our employees and the directions to the driver stated to come through the front office door. The driver went into the side of our building and left the food in bags all on the floor in a dirty shipping office. No phone call. No nothing. They just told an employee that there was food there for me. Once we hauled everything to the office and pulled the dishes out, immediately we saw that some were flipped onto the side and the avocado was brown and black in 1/3 of them! The various sauces were not labeled and all looked identical because they are in mini white styrofoam containers. We ordered a bag of ice and it was delivered in grocery type bags! 🤦🏻♀️ I’m not sure if the actual restaurant is good, but DO NOT order catering from this place! It’s horrible!
