Compact but relaxed coffee bar in the West U area I tried their Matcha Latte and it wasn’t too sweet but wish it had more matcha flavor. The coffee shop portion itself is pretty small but is attached to a CBD shop with additional seating in a comfy couch, armchairs, and a large countertop for additional seating and bathrooms. The interior is bright and airy but chill. I do wish there were more electrical outlets to charge devices but it’s otherwise a great place to study or work! There’s a limited parking lot but the shop isn’t too busy.

Small cafe but very nicely decorated. Coffee tasted decent nothing extraordinary. But their almond croissant is hands down one of the best in town. The staff were very well behaved. They have outdoor seating arrangement as well. Definitely would like to come again.

Cool coffee shop tied into a CBD shop. They have great regular coffee (I got my usual quad cappuccino and it was fantastic and made to my detailed specs.) A few spots to sit and work inside and outside but this is more of a grab and go spot than a sit down and work place. Outdoor seating as well as indoor. Service was prompt and polite on a moderately busy Saturday morning.

What an AWESOME spot. Picturesque, quaint and friendly. Steven our Baristas was super great! Such a positive vibe. Serving size: small compared to Starbucks Presentation: so much fun and you can make your own foam design which is pretty neat CBD options available Seating outside and inside, bright and welcoming environment.

A cute cafe with nicely done interiors design and lots of green plants! They have different types of seatings, including high top seatings and couches. They also have outlets, which are great for cafe working. I ordered the matcha latter, which was kinda disappointing with lots of powder clumps. However, the staff was nice and friendly—they remade me a drink and this time it was good 😋 Not the best place for matcha latte, but would still revisit!

Neat and rather cozy CBD cafe with excellent service and exciting products and pastries. But the space was too cramped specially the outside seating which was set up on a very narrow pavement and a few inches aways from the parking spots which would empty and get occupied again every few minutes. Overall a great place for take-out or a short stay inside the place.

Not your typical cafe to work/study from… shares the space with a CBD pharmacy and also offers CBD coffee drinks. Not my vibe and I wish that would have been clearly advertised on google maps. Wifi was weak too. Can’t recommend.

To: Management, Grinder's Coffee B Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Employee Conduct and Product Efficacy - Visit on December 28, 2025 Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding an incident that occurred at your Houston location (5410 Kirby Dr, Suite B, Houston, TX 77005) on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at approximately 9:47 AM. Primary Concern – Employee Conduct: Upon entering your establishment, I was assisted by a female employee who was exceptionally professional, respectful, and helpful. She provided excellent customer service, particularly in assisting me with assessing my points, for which I was very grateful. However, my experience was severely compromised by the conduct of another employee. A Caucasian male coffee attendant, stationed at the front adjacent to the right-side CBD coffee shop area, engaged in prolonged, intrusive, and disrespectful staring. Even after I made direct eye contact, his gaze remained fixed in a manner that was condescending and unmistakably disrespectful. This behavior was so overt and unsettling that it made me uncomfortable and created a hostile environment, to the point where I had difficulty enjoying my coffee. Professional and respectful interaction is a basic expectation, and this employee’s conduct fell far short of that standard. Secondary Concern – Product (CBD Coffee): While I found the coffee itself to be tasty, I must note that the advertised CBD effect was absent. I did not experience any of the relaxing benefits for which the product is marketed. Reason for Complaint: My purpose in writing is to bring these matters to your attention. The employee’s unprofessional behavior created a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere, directly contradicting the positive service provided by his colleague. Additionally, the product did not deliver on its promised effect. Requested Resolution: a. I trust you will address this matter with the seriousness it deserves. I would appreciate it if you could: b. Address this conduct with the staff involved to ensure a respectful environment for all patrons. c. Provide feedback to your CBD coffee supplier or review the dosage/ formulation if similar concerns have been raised. d. I welcome a response from management regarding the actions taken. 2 stars because the matcha flavor is good. BUT! I seen that they don’t clean their matcha bowl or whisk after each use. The matcha also has slight clumps still which should not. Whisking should be up to 1 minute in “M” formation, she did it in 15 seconds “O” formation 🙃

This coffee bar is owned by Wild. I use to go to the Montrose location as well as Shepherd. We would get half off on Wednesday’s. Unfortunately the owner decided to close the Montrose location for whatever reason. Now come to find out Grinder Bar does not offer the same Wednesday half off deal. The coffee bar staff seems to all be unhappy and unwelcoming. I will be finding a better coffee spot.
