Avis sur Lu Xiang Village Houston
Only Chinese customers here, that to us speaks as very good! We were looking for Chinese too early for Dim Sum. Freshly made buns & douhua ( Tofu flower salty) . Highly recommend the broth from the northern region.
Whenever I visit Houston Bellaire Blvd, I normally go to San Dong for pan-fried steam buns, but unfortunately, they ran out of them today, so I decided to try Lu Xiang Village instead. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of buns they had and how affordable they were. They offered three varieties of fried buns, and I got two of each at just $2.60 per bun. The buns were outstanding. Each bite had the perfect balance of crispy and chewy textures, with a generous amount of savory filling that really hit the spot. My favorite was the pork and cabbage, followed closely by the pork and onion. Both were packed with flavor, and the fillings were juicy and well-seasoned. The buns themselves were very filling—two were more than enough to satisfy my craving, making them a great value for the price. I also picked up 10 of their steamed pork buns for $6.50, which were equally satisfying. The steamed buns had a soft, pillowy texture and were stuffed with a hearty pork filling. While I loved everything I ordered, I do wish they had chili oil available for dipping, which would have elevated the flavors even more. Overall, Lu Xiang Village exceeded my expectations and is now on my list of go-to spots on Bellaire Blvd. If you’re craving delicious, well-made buns at a great price, I highly recommend giving them a try.
Takeout only. Good traditional northern food (buns, small dishes)

I take my daughter to there every weekend. She loves their steamed red bean buns. You need to come in early to get soybean milk and tofu flower soup.
She has the best pork buns, and the grilled onion buns on Saturday only are worth a visit. Must try this place once.
best baozi, mantou you can get in the town, 200%better than any you can get from grocery store the frozen one. My personal favorite, String bean with Pork, so juicy. Red bean, the red bean sauce make by owner, not too sweet but you can totally taste the aromatic of the red bean itself, 5star recommendations.
This is an awesome Chinese breakfast place- we were just trying to do take out at any Chinese place that open early enough for us and this is a pleasant surprise. We ordered soy milk, meat bun and you tiao and we are satisfied with all of them. Food is delicious and price is reasonable, if you need a quick simple northern style Chinese breakfast take out this is your place to go.

Orderd pork and chives. Very good $2.60 per pie. Hidden jem. Not busy around 10am when I visited
Was looking for a soy milk and youtiao place for breakfast, really didn’t have a go to place in houston. Some other breakfast place’s service is terrible, foods not good either. Checked on google and found this place, although only 14 reviews, I wanted to give it a try. Hole in a wall, a lot of items got sold out, had a good feeling abt it, and bun was pretty good! A surprise find!

I love this place when it first opened. Then, the service got bad. After few months, they reduced the operating days. That was fine, because they kept the quality. I often stop by to get 小笼包 little steamed bao. They are bigger than being little. Very tasty and inexpensive. The line is usually long. Most of stuff were sold out by the time I walked in.
One needs to be there really early, like 8am, to be able to enjoy the freshly made Chinese Youtiao (fried churros), Doujiang (soy milk) and a wide variety of flour-made buns. Extremely affordable and very popular place for breakfast.
The food at this kitchen is delicious! The steamed buns are generously filled and taste amazing, and the stuffed pancakes are also incredibly tasty—though they're only available on Saturday mornings. The only downside is that I once found a piece of thread in a steamed bun. Other than that, everything else has been great.
Their veggie buns are good ! I would recommend them for sure. Went for the first time, I asked the employee if something had meat in the sauce or anything and I guess they didn't put two and two together and sold me another item that has a vegetable in the title but mentions nothing about pork being in it? The employee was rushed (perhaps a big order came in?) and they were still rushing when I picked up the food 15-18 mins later. Who knows what happened but, they need to be more careful about that. Food was luke warm. Seems like it gets bagged hot and placed on a cold table. Or I got lucky and got their morning batch of buns? Didn't taste bad all on all though. But being that Chinatown tends to have more people that eat strictly vegetarian because of their beliefs (i.e all the Buddhist temples everywhere?), they need to really improve their customer service.
Only has unflavored warm soy milk, not cold or flavored. Everything is fresh and hot only when they open. It doesn’t make sense why they wouldn’t heat up the food for you if you want to eat there. Especially since they already have the equipment to do that. The food is great but the owner’s brain isn’t.

The buns are good, but I prefer their pork pancake, marinated pig feet and tofu.

Have tried their veggie bun, pork bun, and red bean bun, pork ears, pork feet. Only liked their red bean bun. Not impressed.

Went at 8am on Sunday. Everything except the red bean pie was in stock, but most everything we ordered was lukewarm or completely cold. They do have a microwave but anyone who's had you tiao knows that they can't really be reheated without losing their crispiness. That being said these are the items we got: You tiao (2/5): cold Tofu flower (3/5): decent flavor kind of oily Beef and leek pie (4/5): lukewarm but good flavor Red bean bun (2/5): kind of salty and falling apart. Go to I Ping right around the corner instead.

Too much MSG! After my older man eating the buns, he almost dead. Late found out the dumpling use too much MSG! MSG is simple way for Chinese food to have testy! But it is harmful to humans!
Wow nothing there was made fresh. Everything was cold , oily, stale. The porm buns has so much potential! If they were cooked fresh. Dough sticks were somehow oily and soft not crisp at all. Bean buns were stale and gross. And plain sesame bread was so stale it flaked dried inner dough. Will not return
I used to buying the steam dumplings from them months, this time I experienced my most horrible customer service in whole U.S, I asked a little question, she answered me with a very bad attitude, seems like she is really someone, I am begging for what???? Never want to come back! Awful!
I was craving for some traditional Chinese breakfast and google recommended it. From the reviews I was willing to give it a try. The worst Chinese baoz ever! We also tried some pork feet and chicken feet..... they were super salty and gross.... do not try this place, save your money to go elsewhere!
