This place makes incredible Halal Pakistani food. The Masala Chicken with rice is my favorite. Very conveniently located near the airport, highly recommended!
After long training days in Houston, I walked into the Maza Pakistani Grill restaurant near GreenTree Inn and the Sheraton Hotel. The food is fresh, warm, and made with heart; real home food, not frozen or rushed. You can feel the effort behind it. They work so hard, not just to feed people, but to make sure no one feels alone or hungry in a foreign place. It feels like they’re doing more than business. They’re serving people who are far from home—India, Pakistan, Bangladesh—people who miss their culture, their food, and their families. For someone like me, that care means more than words can explain.
Stopped in to try something different. I tried the goat curry special. It was delicious and had a small kick. Even though I usually don't like curry it was perfect amount that it didn't over power the food. Everyone was very friendly. I will be back soon
Amazing atmosphere! The owners are so amazing and sweet! Super welcoming! We come here all the time for the butter chicken!!! Hands down the best! Chicken falls apart spice levels are perfect! Definitely order the naan!
The best food I've ever tasted in my life. They have delicious biryani. I haven't tasted anything like it since I left Pakistan. If you're looking for authentic Pakistani taste then come here, I highly recommend you visit this place.
It was my first time trying this place and it was amazing. I ordered Togo and unfortunately I was missing my samosas, because they were still cooking. They went above and beyond to make sure I got to try them, and they delivered them to me personally. The food was seasoned great and the rice was so soft. I can't wait to order again and try more.
From out of town and this was near my hotel. Walking it in, it looked like the run of the mill mom and pop, strip mall stall. However, there was more than meets the eye. The air was filled with the rich aroma of fresh homemade traditional food. I had the Palaak Paneer and garlic naan. Both were spiced to perfection and clearly did not use frozen ingredients. I would eat here again and recommend you do as well.
This hidden gem of a Pakistani restaurant is just 5 minutes from IAH. We had an international layover for Hajj and stayed at a nearby hotel, within walking distance of this spot. While the ambiance is simple, the food is as close to home-cooked as it gets. With a 24-hour layover, we came here for dinner and returned the next day for lunch before our flight — it was that good. The couple who runs the place are incredibly humble and welcoming. Even as they were closing for the night, they kindly fired up the grill just for us. The naan, made fresh in a tandoor, was some of the best we’ve had — especially hot out of the oven. The beef seekh kebabs were perfectly cooked, as was the flavorful smash burger. The rice dishes were equally satisfying, and the chai was spot on. We typically fly out of Hobby, where there are plenty of dining options, but we’re so glad we discovered this treasure on Houston’s north side.
I was there an hour before closing and pulled into a bob tail and there was plenty of parking. However, you will need to back out from where you pulled in. It will be much easier! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. Very clean outhouse where you can do a full ablution for namaz! I highly recommend it.
Food is recommendable and tasty and came out within 15mins for Lamb and Fish. The sauces that came with the food were super good! Ambience seemed more like a cafeteria setting but clean. Service was friendly and welcoming. Prices were somewhat reasonable. I think the portions could have been a little more for the price. Credit cards accepted.
Wow, this place is delicious! It has just the right amount of spice. The level doesn't overwhelm your palette but instead dances on your tongue leaving you satisfied with your experience. The management is great and cares about your food experience. What to get: Vegetarian Punjabi with rice Or Lamb Curry with rice I have a feeling most things here are going to be great. Very authentic and home made, slow stewed. Cons: odd location out of the way by the airport
The food was OK. I added a generous amount of salt to improve the seasoning. I was warned that the curry might be spicy, however, the curry tasted washed out and bland. I was hoping for something a little bit more adventurous in flavor and textures. The naan was dried out and not particularly flavorful. Otherwise, the food was decent. If you’re looking for a curry, that is OK in flavor and yet can be improved with some salt, this is the place for you. The ambience was also OK. It was a large square room that became very noisy after only a few tables arrived. The process form ordering is, walk in the door and walk up to the cash and say what it is you want to eat. The worn out menus in front of the till are text only and not completely accurate. There are no photos or descriptions available to know what you’re going to get with your meal. The gentleman who took my order, was very pleasant and quite helpful. When I paid with my credit card, it prompted me for a tip. I am always confused at being asked for a tip for service that is not provided. What service am I tipping for exactly? Nevertheless, I did tip (15%) anticipating I would receive more service than I did. My plate of curry over rice arrived, with a small basket of naan, and raita on the side in a plastic dipping tray. The portion was a little on the small side and left me hungry at the end of the meal. Prior to eating, I needed to stand up and fetch my own cutlery and paper napkins. At the end of the meal, you’re expected to bus your own table and bring your plate over to the collection point. If you are looking for a delicious curry experience you might want to keep looking. If you are just hungry, this place will be ok.
Visited this place on my way to airport. It's located in a nice quiet place. I was surprised with the taste of the food, the samosa was really hot with very tasty sauce. I also ordered beef wrap and a masala chai. Everything was fantastic and I wish I had more time to sit and try their lamb curry and biryani. One star less is because it look long time for a wrap and appetizer. It took 20 to 30 minutes just for that. The customer service was amazing and the place was very clean. Faster customer service would be appreciated when it's closer to the airport and most customers would be in a rush. Definitely a place to visit for their fantastic food and will definitely visit again soon.
Food is good but extremely overpriced for lunch and considering the atmosphere & condition of the restaurant. They also don't give itemized receipts. So you don't know what you paid for & if it's the correct price. Lastly, the portions are small for the price you pay. The bowls are not filled to the top, the servings are small.
After arriving from the airport we as a family of 4 went to Maza restaurant. The front cashier name Fatima is friendly and able to make us feel welcome 🙏🏽 the reason for 3 stars are as follows, it took so long for food to come after ordering, the order was not correct and the tables were not wiped off good, so we have to request twice for the tables to be cleaned and wipe off well. The price was also above average if not cheaper then other places in town. The taste of the food was average Pakistani food nothing amazingly great to go back to this place again🇵🇰. If you are hungry and cannot wait to try some amazing Pakistani food in the main Houston area, then this will be option you can try, make sure you plan to wait 30 min plus for your order to come.
My first experience was great, the food service, everything was perfect. However, my second visit was disappointing. The price of the food doesn't match the quantity and quality. Almost $80 for just 3 people. $80 for BARELY any meat, the food was cold, the flavor wasn't as good as last time, and the rice is sold separately... A palm size meat and sauce shouldn't be priced at $16 then rice doesn't come with it? That's greedy. The service was nice, I have no complaints about the service. Though if u really want more people coming..be generous. Make sure the food amount matches the price. I wish I had reference photos.
