After five years of smelling this place on my walks and jogs, I decided to walk across the street on Voss and get me a to go order ( 3 meats w/2 sides $28 ). Sorry mom🙃 but the ribs and sausages did not disappoint😋... I am not a brisket kind of guy. So I just chopped them up to put in a baked potato later. 🔷️One minor complaint, I just wish they had drity rice or boudin for one of their sides💯 I do recommend this place.

I have been coming here for years! Some of the best BBQ in the Houston area! The moist Brisket is bar none the best!! The hospitality is always awesome, and if Rus is in the building he is always happy to talk with the customers! Definitely come for the food and stay for the atmosphere! Also they have daily specials, I love the homemade Reuben on Thursdays!!

My sister and I have been on a bbq quest. Roegels was our third establishment to visit, and it was very good. The meats were unbelievable! The brisket was so succulent and seasoned amazing. The ribs were so damn good. They were cooked perfectly. The sides were classic and well done. Their bbq sauce is the perfect complement to the meats.

This is the best brisket I’ve eaten in my life. The meat is fall-apart tender, with just the right amount of smokey flavor. The sides are very good too. I tried the Texas caviar and was not disappointed. Highly recommended!

Brisket was fall apart tender with a heavy dose of pepper. 5 stars Boudin texture isn't for me, but my friends all enjoyed it. I enjoyed the other sausage that was also stuffed with cheese. Their white bread was fluffy, soft and individually wrapped I'm guessing to maintain that. The pulled pork was fine, but I'd definitely get the brisket as my first option. The bourbon banana pudding was another 5 star item for me . Service was very friendly. I like seeing when workers enjoy their work environment. Parking is available in a small to medium size lot. It's kind of shared but not really? There is patio seating on two sides of the restaurant. Not much for pokemon stop here.

Came to this place a few weeks back after being disappointed with Blood Bros. And I’m slapping myself because I should have came here first. The customer service is on point . I informed the guy that it was my first time and he offered some of his favorites and I can say he was spot on. Sausage was the star of the show. The jalapeño cheese sausage was amazing. Brisket was moist and had excellent bark. Just the right amount of pepper. The ribs offered clean bites to the bone, not over cooked to fall apart, but just right to bite and get some get tender meat. Sides of loaded potatoes and potatoes salad were excellent choices as well.

I eat at Roegels a lot. I mean.... excessively. This is my #1 BBQ spot in Houston hands down! The brisket is ALWAYS on point, the specials are a must-order. The sides are excellent. If you can make it on a Saturday when they’re doing Whole Hog DO IT. I can’t say enough good things about this food, and the owners Russell and Misty Roegels are great folks. Go now!!!

if you're coming on a thursday because you heard this place has the best reuben in houston, you will be sorely disappointed. instead what you will get is an AMAZING pastrami sandwich. the pastrami has amazing flavor and the perfect texture. the pickled red onions add the perfect acidity and if i'm not mistaken a bit of spiciness. the bread is not the start of the show by any means but it's not bad either. the cheese and lack of russian dressing (or equivalent) are my 2 negatives. this is amazing pastrami, and they have pretty good mac and cheese and potato salad. i will definitely come back for their texas 'reuben' but if you're looking for something packed with sauerkraut and piled high with pastrami, this isnt really it.

First time trying this place I was very unimpressed. When recieving my food everything was cold. They literally had food cut and prepared before I paid.Which would have been great if it was hot. The brisket had a decent taste but I wanted some loose cut was told they only had lean but clearly my husband's sliced brisket still had fat on it. Pork Belly was tough to me. But you have to try to see if you will like it.You live and you learn.

I had heard Roegels has the best reuben in town (only on Thursdays), so I had to try it when I could finally get over there for lunch on a Thursday. Maybe it was overhyped, but it did not live up to expectations. Service was great. There’s a line, but it moves quickly. The meat comes in nice thick cuts and is well-smoked. It tasted fine combined with the sauerkraut, Russian dressing, and cheese, but the meat was dry. Not sure if you can see it in the picture, but I confirmed when trying some of the meat by itself that it was dry. The bread is nicely toasted. Overall, the portion is modest. Not entirely fulling or satisfying for the price.

The takeout was “lean” brisket, potato salad and Mac and cheese with banana pudding. Let’s start with the “lean” brisket. There was 3 slices of brisket in the box, clearly not lean as the fat cap was attached to each piece?? The brisket was delicious however 3 slices? $31.00? Quality did not beat quantity, sorry not for $31.00. Potato Salad was good but tired, nothing special, the Mac and cheese was velveeta with milk? Plenty of opportunity for taste but missing something special. The banana pudding was surprisingly tasty and left me wanting more. Banana pudding does not make a Texas bbq. I enjoyed the brisket and the banana pudding but the overall experience was flat. There’s a ton of potential there but that’s just my opinion.

Ordered online and this is what I received. I asked for pickles and onions in the order notes and didn’t get any. The brisket is flavorless and tough and is in fact burnt which I told them over the phone that it was and they told me it wasn’t. You can clearly see in the picture that it is. Mac & cheese is also flavorless and the cucumber salad is soggy. I also had 2 slices of bread which were dry. Overall the food was not good and I feel that it is not worth the price. I won’t be eating here again, but everyone has their own opinions so just try for yourself. (Update : I read your comment and I did call the location and spoke with the manager before giving my review. I was told that the food was not burnt and the portion size was okay and was dismissed when I did bring up the issue. Which you can see in the picture that the portion size is not okay and that the food is burnt and dry. I feel that as a company the customer service needs to be better and the quality of food could be better as well.)

Allow yourself to read, the pictures of the reviews you see are not how the food or tray is placed. Customers serve themselves from the food bar and will neatly place it on the tray to show you all the beautiful colors and how they dressed it up The only thing great about my order was the brisket was delicious. Other than that, I am not on the payroll to be making my own meal. Disappointed and overpriced. I had the chopped potato brisket. Butter, bacon bits, and gravy all come on the side. Order was placed to go and no utensils were included.
