This is unquestionably the best, most genuine, Mediterranean food in the Bay Area. Don’t let the outside appearance deter you from stopping by. The food is to die for. The server was extremely nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. He is there on Tuesdays and Thursdays! As for the food.. The hummus is very fresh and flavorful. The grilled chicken plate comes with two chicken breasts and I opted to get double veggies instead of rice. We also got the Ciku Stir Fry with mixed meats. The flavor was incredible and it was the most authentic Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!!

Initially went here when I moved into the neighborhood, and my girlfriend and I were served by the proprietor with some of the best Lebanese food we've ever had! The place has been there forever, and it has such charm, so we go whenever she comes into town. Since that first time, it's consistently an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious! So many gf vegan and dairy free options! My whole family went. The place is beautiful and elaborately decorated. We had a birthday feast! I highly recommend more people dine in at this location. Oh! The service was so damn good! I was impressed. We were a large group and a lot to handle.

Amazing food and super friendly staff. The server and the owner were so kind! They were slow and had time to talk and it made my evening. Such a lovely place. The inside is beautifully decorated. Food is authentic and delicious! Had a gyro, kebab, and baklava. Will definitely come back.

The food is absolutely awesome as they go above and beyond to take great care of us, especially when it comes to food allergies and special requests. And for this we appreciate it so much!

We are always so happy when we come to Sawa, and bring friends with us as often as possible. Everyone who works here is wonderful, kind, and delivers on the service! You're really not going to get better Levantine food in the area; even the stuffed grape leaves are hand rolled! Atmosphere is lovely with low light, but still bright enough to easily read the menu.

Great food, great service – definitely coming back! Had lunch at SAWA Restaurant with my family and it was a great experience from start to finish. We ordered the chicken kebab and the combo kebab, and everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The meat was tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The portions were generous, the sides were tasty, and you can tell they care about the quality of their food. On top of that, the service was excellent—friendly, welcoming, and fast without feeling rushed. We’ll definitely be back!

Very good. Flavourful and friendly. Diverse selection with no noted filler items (like hot dogs or pizza). Just wonderful authentic Mediterranean food. Our server was knowledgeable and able to make suggestions. If you are offered a spicy sauce for your baba ganoush, take it!

Excellent hummus, Dolmas. Kibbi, falafel. Kabobs, tabuli, -everything we tried was great! Nice emphasis of lemon and garlic. I loved it! The service was also excellent. It’s small and looks like a small “hole in the wall” place but inside it is quite excellent with comfortable booths and catered service! Highly recommended!

This is the best Mediterranean restaurant in the area. It’s so fresh and delicious. The dressing is unique and amazing. The toum, baba ghanoush and hummus are fresh and delicious. The meat is quality the shredded lamb is out of this world good. He uses the best olive oil. The desserts delicious as well. You can taste the difference in the ingredients. Don’t forget the fresh mint lemonade smoothie. I’m telling you this place is a hidden gem. Staff is as awesome as the food.

I do deliveries in this area and I have tried this restaurant twice. Both times the food was delicious. The falafel I had was so tasty that it had me smiling with every bite wow!!! Also the manager is very courteous.

Absolutely authentic Mediterranean food that tastes just like home cooking! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. This is a wonderful small business, and the service was outstanding—our waitress Daniela was incredibly kind and helpful. Been to places all across the US and this place easily takes top 3. Really just the best experience!!!! Had the hummus appetizer, mint lemonade smoothie, beef kabobs plate, and the lamb with peppers and rice (forgot the name). All was 10/10, or should I say, 5/5. The woman serving us was so great. Food was fresh and atmosphere was great. We actually went to leave before we got there but are beyond happy we stayed!!! New favorite place.

The service was exceptional! The food was tasty and the establishment is very clean. My children loved their dish ( a gyro plate ) which was large enough to share and my husband enjoyed some Turkish coffee. Also the mint lemonade and baklava was delicious. We will definitely be back. Sorry the picture isn’t a full table of food- I wanted to give a genuine photo of how good everything truly was!!

Excellent experience! Service was stellar our server was friendly and sparked great conversation. The food was very flavorful and clearly made with high quality ingredients. Their menu was diverse and had new dishes that I’d never seen before. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. The mint lemonade smoothie is a must!! They had vegan kibbeh and vegan baklava that was delicious! I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Sawa.

This place is amazing!!! My boyfriend and I were in love with the food here and the staff was so lovely and kind. For meals we got the sampler plate to try a little of everything, and the vegan stir fry and oh my goodness they were so yummy. The salad was great as well and the spicy potatoes were definitely a favorite for us.

I was wonderfully surprised with the food! It was fresh, hot and full of wonderful flavor. We've tried other places and the kids and I wanted to try somewhere we had not been. New favorite place. A must try for sure so don't sleep on this place. Awesome staff. Very sweet.

Was our first time,we loved the food. Waitress was very nice. Looks like she needed some help. Waited a while for food but we'll worth the wait. Aside from big table with crazy wild kids screaming and watching some LOUD kids video,minus them it would have been a more pleasant lunch. Also,when packing up leftovers waitress set Togo containers on floor before bagging. Alittle unsanitary but I will let it slide. We will be back soon.
