The vibe of the place is amazing!! the staff is very friendly and the food was delicious. My husband had the skeeters burger and he was very impressed with the freshness of the ingredients, from the huge piece of pickle to the crunchiness of the purple onions. He was very impressed, very happy. And my son ate his whole meal. One of the most important part for me also was the prices. It was not too expensive, which is something important to some people nowadays. They even mentioned me that on Sunday they do brunch buffets, so I told my husband and we will definitely check it out so we will be soooooo back.
Great place to enjoy a budget friendly meal with family friends aquante and coworkers. Great atmosphere with community tables, boots, outdoor area and standard table seating. Simple menu with a great selection of choices...love the protein plate, sweet potatoe fries, and grilled shrimp tacos. And you can write and draw on the tables. Love it here...Definitely recommend.
This is a catering review that deserves even more than five stars! I just had the most wonderful experience with Skeeter’s, an Adair Concepts restaurant: I wanted to host an appreciation lunch for the West U Public Works department (50 people) and a friend suggested I try Skeeter’s. So glad I did! Restaurant general manager Fidel Hernandez and Adair’s Catering Sales Manager Rachel Kozolin were amazing, from my first hello with Fidel in the restaurant to the day-of hospitality they both delivered, on site, at West U Public Works. They delivered, set up, served, smiled, brought to-go boxes (so considerate), and the food - a mixed-meat taco bar with all the fixings - was delicious. Heard big compliments on, especially, the mesquite chicken. All in all, it was a REAL feel-good day today. Big thanks to Skeeter’s and Adair Concepts for making it so!
What a lovely neighborhood restaurant! The food was really good. Staff were friendly. The chairs an extremely comfortable too!
Fun place, lotsa locals lunch here. This place has a truly expansive menu. They serve burgers tacos, you name it. Butcher paper table cloths, order at the register and food is delivered to you with your order number. There is a beverage center for refills on most drinks. They also serve beer and wine. I enjoy coming here when other places don't appeal. They have something for most anyone.
Came here for business lunch. The menu was very fairly priced and the location was excellent. I ordered the grilled chicken plate and was able to sub the beans and rice for two vegetables. The chicken was juicy and delicious. The vegetables were cooked just right. They service with two tortillas on a fajita platter. Very happy with the quality and the cost. Highly suggest checking this place out for a fairly priced lunch or dinner!
I stopped by Skeeter’s on Sunday night after doing some shopping, wanting to try something new. As soon as I walked in, the cashier greeted me with a warm and genuine smile, which was a great first impression. Since it was my first time there, I had quite a few questions about the menu, and Chris was super helpful—he answered everything confidently and even cracked a joke that made the experience even better. He recommended the Skeeter Bowl with beef, and suggested I swap the almonds for pecans. Let me tell you—it was delicious! The pecans had a spicy kick that really brought the whole dish together. I’m so glad I stopped by, and I’ll definitely be back!
Mom told me about this place. Went for the first time with her yesterday. I have nothing but great things to say about this place! Something about it just feels homie and cozy. The staff are super nice and the food was outstanding! We arrived during the lunch rush and they still managed to bring us our food in no time. Manager even came and asked how everything was. I thought it was really thoughtful that they do that as many places do not. I ordered the Skeeter burger and it was perfect as is! The burger was so good that I forgot I was having lunch with my mom. Lol. The sweet potato fries were just as good. My mom got the Deluxe Chicken Skeeter. Her sandwich looked really good also. I managed to steal some of her onion rings 😅 totally worth it 😏 fun fact: tables have some kind of construction paper and crayons are provided in case anyone wants to showcase their artistic skills while enjoying their food 🤤 I will DEFINITELY be going back.
I have been coming to this Skeeter's location for decades...this is a staple of the immediate area...the burgers and tacos are top notch...especially the burgers...on this visit I had the tacos 🌮 which were good with crunchy shells. The show stopper was the juicy burger with a well seasoned beef patty and the mouth watering sweet potatoe fries. It's also a nice spot to sit down and eat. I highly recommend this spot if you are ever in the area...
I frequently ate at this restaurant twenty years ago when I worked at CompUSA (the store is now Ross Dress for Less) located in the same shopping center. The hamburgers and fries were excellent. After all these years, Skeeters is still at the same location. I have eaten there twice this year. They still provide the same excellent burgers for a very reasonable price. This is my favorite hamburger grill in Houston. They also offer a breakfast menu, tacos, salads, beer, bar drinks, etc.
Great atmosphere, clean environment and absolutely affordable food price, this is the right place to take family for a casual dinner or hang out with bunch of friends! I had a baked potato, which was soft, creamy, and filled with cheese and tasty beef. Also I got a Kbab meal, the meat was a little bit salty for me but it reached great balance with the rice. A great place and yummy foods, too good to be true!
I’ve seen this place many times but didn’t really think about eating here til yesterday when I had to pick up dog food across the street from Petco. Really enjoyed my first time eating here and had the southwest bowl. Ate about half and took the rest home. My colleague/friend had the burger/fries and thought it was good. Overall good experience, and Allen was very attentive/hospitable to make sure everything was good. Thanks.
Definitely gonna go back! Had the breakfast tacos and the beans were surprisingly fresh, good amount of eggs, bacon was cooked nice and crisp and the tortillas are made in house! The orange juice was fresh squeezed and my only real complaint is that the juice was 3.50 for a tiny cup and not really a full glass. 3 tacos with bacon, egg, cheese and beans plus the drink came out to about $12 and I was full!
The staff was great. The food was just ok but the restrooms were nasty. They are so small and just not that clean. For a family restaurant it should be better.
We waited in line for an unacceptable amount of time.(I wanted to leave, but was talked out of it) My burger was delivered (without the cheese that I paid for) and about 20 minutes + numerous inquiries later, my dinner companion got his- burger with onion rings instead of French Fries. Seriously- the couple in front of us ate and left before his food was delivered. People behind us - WAY behind us- got their food and finished it. The reason- “they were behind on making hamburgers” - WHAT?!?! We had a hard time finding a clean table to sit at..: Food tasted good. If you are going to have a NIGHTLY HAPPY HOUR- hire staff for it..: Ridiculous!
Excellent cashiers and customer service, from seeing this on photos and being asked to try it out..was completely different. If you want a margarita to go, this is your spot. This isn't your abuela cooking or tia, it's a mixture of confusion. I was given a tamale enchilada, and then told it's how it's made without the option of another choice, or anything. Margaritas are fire though
I know this isn't fine dining, but sometimes the carelessness with the food is really disappointing. I ordered an omelette with ham, tomatoes, and cream cheese. I got exactly two cubes of ham, about a tablespoon of cream cheese in a single lump, and more than ½ cup of diced tomatoes. Just disappointing.
This place still uses those Covid19 stickers on the lids of their drinks, and their lids have openings in them. So the toxic adhesive side is getting mixed all into your drinks. Coffee stoppers were invented in like the 1930s, we only started using stickers during Covid. You’ve got to step back and use a little bit of logic now.
I’ve dined here twice this year. Neither of the experiences were great but I came back today to give them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the deluxe chicken skeeter which came with a grilled chicken breast, bacon, pepper Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, Mayo and avocado. The chicken was dry and the texture was weird. The fries were over seasoned, soggy and limp. The food was not good and I only ate half of it. They employees looked miserable like they don’t want to be there. I paid $15 for this and feel ripped off. The only thing I liked was the free lemon and cucumber water. I don’t plan to return.
The Sunday breakfast looked great until I actually tasted it. Everything was absolutely drenched in butter. It honestly seemed like the cooks melted a whole pot of butter and decided that counted as seasoning. I ordered the pancake stack, chicken biscuits, eggs, and toast, and every single item was soaked to the point where that was the only flavor coming through. I wanted to say something to the staff so they would not serve food like this to anyone else. It genuinely felt like I was chewing on a stick candle someone microwaved and called it “breakfast.” The crazy thing is a lot of old people eat here, so one would assume they would lighten up on the butter.
Ordered a baked potato with beef to go on Saturday at 6 pm. Potato was dark brown and crusty/dry. Preparer had to see all of this when cutting the potato to add condiments. Took it back to the restaurant, gave to the manager and asked for a fresh item. Manager requested another potato to go. No customer service professionalism from the manager at all. Never said sorry about that or anything of the sort. After another potato was prepared - manager said “here ya go”. Acted just like he had done me a big favor. In addition to not offering an apology (or excuse for the poor quality item during a none-busy hour), the manager never even said thank you or come back. I thought I would give them a second try to a prior poor experience when they served me a taco salad with the lettuce so wet that the bottom of the taco shell stuck to the cardboard box holding it and had to be returned. Much of the same service from the manager that time as well. Oh well I'll avoid and save myself trouble . . . .
