Boyfriend treated me to a lovely dinner and Santiago waited on us. Great service and good food. Couldn’t ask for more. Santiago made great conversation and did everything right 100/10
The food is Aaaaaammmazinnngggg and has exquisite cuisines and gives an experience Worth exploring the staff is excellent and extremely attentive the chef is very humble the manager is down to earth and the atmosphere is relaxing, elegant, scenic and gives chill vibes
Went in for happy hour and ordered too much. Very satisfying with great service and even greater food. Had a couple old fashioned and lemon drop and both were top notch.
Came for a friend's Birthday dinner. Food was very good had the Cedar smoked Salmon. Happy Hour Lemon Drop was awesome! Our sever was great, very attentive.
My son and I spent a glorious day in our beautiful city of Houston. Lunch at McCormick was the highlight of the day. The location and restaurant were absolutely opulent and beautiful. The staff was courteous and welcoming. Our waitress, Melissa, was spectacular! We feasted on the fried calamari, crab cake,Korean fried chicken, and the crab/shrimp salad with seasoned fries. We also had two of their flavored lemonades. Overall, the experience was a 9/10, and we will return to try the dinner options! Thanks again, McCormick!
First time at McCormick & Schmicks, my group had a little bit of everything. The shrimp scampi was excellent as well as the Snapper and Redfish my friends had. I tried the Halibut because I haven't had it much and it was good, should have ordered it blackened but still very good. My friends weren't big on the broccolini though, a little undercooked they felt. The calamari was sooo tender and delicious as well as the black mussels. We also had some lobster bisque and clam chowder....it was all amazing!!
They have very nice outdoor seating. Great Happy Hour Specials. Services was good. Food presentation was nice . Food was nicely seasoned. Sangria was very tasty.
I’ve been an M&S customer for decades. Great happy hour- food and drinks. First time to this location. Lovely bartender and server. You can always trust great food and drinks .
I thought it was a bit unusual, as did other attendees, but we am here for a breakfast presentation. I had not been here prior to this event. I must say that I was very impressed with the service and politeness of the employees. They were over the top great. The atmosphere was very nice, accommodating, clean, and nice decor. The meal was served buffet style and while not over the top extravagant, it was all prepared very well and nicely presented. It was a nice surprise overall and from a business standpoint, a great way for them to increase their business. Overall, a great experience.
I went for ny birthday its been on my list to try but finally made it my only complaint is why I haven't been came here... service was immaculate!
The restaurant is nicely decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. We had a late lunch so the dining room was not busy. The bar had lots of attractive, well dressed people on a Wednesday afternoon, so it’s obviously a great place to visit. I ordered a 13 oz steak that was superbly seasoned and cooked perfectly to my liking. Our waiter was Tristan and was very attentive and helpful. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of my steak, but the salad was fresh & delicious. There is a patio that is very inviting for when it cools off here in Houston. Hopefully, we can return soon.
Came yesterday to celebrate my father’s birthday, and everything went really well. Big thanks to the GM, Glenn, and his staff — Edwin and Nancy. You all were amazing. Most of the food was good, though the pasta was a bit bland, the artichoke dip had too many onions, and the potatoes were a little too salty. Overall, we still had a great experience and truly appreciate the service.
Solid spot for sushi in Houston. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative, and the vibe is cool and modern. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but you can tell they’re using good ingredients. Great for a night out or a date. It can get busy, so service sometimes feels a bit rushed, but overall a good experience. Not mind-blowing, but definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for good sushi!!!!
Uptown Sushi never disappoints—fresh, high-quality sushi paired with a sleek, upscale vibe. The presentation is always on point, and the flavors are bold yet balanced. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just in the mood for a chic night out, this spot is a must. Great service, great ambiance, and consistently delicious food✨🤍
This restaurant is truly amazing. Tina provided fantastic and delightful service!!! They still serve my favorite plate: Kobe Cubes. It is rice under a Kobe beef cube which is under a quail egg. It is probably one of the best pairings I've ever had in my life. All the small plates we ordered we're so delicious we didn't even need to order entrees. Tina introduced me to a fantastic Japanese whiskey called Hibiki. It was absolutely smooth and tasty.
Uptown Sushi is an absolute gem in Houston's dining scene, and it delivers a top-notch experience every time! The sleek and modern interior exudes sophistication, making it an ideal spot for a date night, celebratory dinner, or just treating yourself to something special. The vibe is chic yet inviting, striking a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The food is simply outstanding. The sushi is incredibly fresh, artfully presented, and bursting with flavor. Their creative rolls and sashimi options are a must-try, and they always have unique dishes that push the boundaries of traditional sushi. For those who prefer something other than sushi, their menu offers a variety of equally delicious options. What truly sets Uptown Sushi apart is the attention to detail—from the perfectly balanced flavors in every dish to the impeccable plating. The cocktails are a highlight too—crafted with care and a perfect complement to the meal. The service is exceptional, with a staff that is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a newcomer, Uptown Sushi offers a culinary adventure that is sure to impress. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a refined yet approachable dining experience. I can’t wait to go back!
Uptown sushi has always been my go-to sushi restaurant when I’m in the area. I’m an exotic sushi snob and love that they have foie gras, ankimo, Santa Barbara uni, and sweet shrimp on the daily. I don’t usually order chicken wings at a sushi restaurant, but they’re sooo good here!! Great service and I always request Jennifer for exceptional service!
This is my absolute favorite sushi restaurant of all Houston. The place itself is gorgeous, the rolls are A M A Z I N G, and the service is always top notch. My favorite dish is the Zubi roll, and the Kobe Beef Cubes. 100% recommended. Also, the drinks are delicious. I always have a good time there.
My wife and I came there yesterday evening for a nice dinner for her birthday, and we were not let down. Our waitress, Christina helped us with a lot of recommendations and every single one hit the spot. We could tell the sashimi has better quality than most places. We are fans of the nice atmosphere and will be back soon!
This place is so amazing! The service is exceptional. I had the jade blossom cocktail. The madai was my favorite piece, though everything we tried was so good. I can’t wait to go back! Edited to say, we went back as it was just as good as the first time. The kobe cubes, 7 1/2, truffle tuna and more. All delicious.
Had a great experience. Food was delicious and hot when it was brung to our table! Staff very attentive to our needs and we loved the extra personal touches
Overall the service was great. Our waiter Calif was extremely attentive. 4 stars on the food, because my pork shop, although it was cooked to perfection, it was a bit bland, no flavor. It needed more spices. The fried shrimp platter was a bit over cooked. and one last thing, if you are going to order and oldfashioned, you have to order the smoked one which they serve to perfection, but if you get the regular one, it comes poorly served in crushed ice.(if you like old fashioneds, crushed ice is a no go). We had three different style oysters, delicious.
Great family dinner. They were very accommodating of our elementary-aged kids, with a kids menu and crayons. The grown up meals were good. Especially liked the cedar plank salmon.
Ginger Fish Fry was exquisite. Perfectly crisped and in a sauce that was delightfully simple but delicious which included cucumbers and freshly sliced lemon and lime. My bestie and I thoroughly enjoyed our main course. Would love to know what type of fish was used. Edamame was underwhelming and not flavorful at all. Salt was requested. Avocado bites were delicious and inventive. Will definitely revisit and how could I forget the cocktail I ordered, the guava smash was everything this girl could ask for in a drink ❣️
First experience here amazing, this time the rolls were the best. I’m going to say I ordered wrong? Lickety split 10/10 I wish I remember name of the green one, don’t order this one it has the strangest pairings of flavors and was not it. Kobe Cubes flavor wise 10/10 structure-terrible falling apart. Crispy rice should be crispy but it was soggy. Forewarning ambiance is great for date night but it gets loud, and I mean loud. Atleast when I was here Side note of the hostess having a party size of BBQ chips threw me off for a high ends restaurant and she was eating these before greeting me.
I had came for a birthday dinner and truly the food wasnt very good for the price that was paid. My potatoes tasted like they were cooked in sea water- that's a crazy amount of salt. My steak was cooked wrong twice. The salad, cheesecake and ice cream were all amazing and the service was perfect; she was very attentive and constantly made sure our drinks were filled.
Hadn't been here in years & decided to stop by for food & drinks. Drinks were great, food was not my favorite. Started off with the Shrimp & Scallop Rockefeller & these looked like artichoke dip on a shell with the scallop under the artichoke spinach dip. These were quite good I ordered the Seafood Alfredo & the scallops were very tiny.. I imagined the scallops would be less and bigger in size. The pasta I received was the opposite several very small sized scallops. There was no shrimp & there was lobster bits. The other person ordered the 3 course meal the chosen items were Caesar Salad, Lobster Carbonara, Chocolate mousse pie. Caesar Salad had whole anchovies so that was a bit unpleasant Lobster Carbonara did not have much sauce or flavor which was surprising considering the pancetta The noodles itself were thicker than spaghetti noodle which was unpleasant, more sauce on pasta would be great. Interior is beautiful very classy and sophisticated, very clean. Service was amazing, very attentive, the hostess was very kind
I expected a wait because it is a holiday, but the service was horrible. We were able to drink the entire bottle Of wine, to clarify, over a hour and half before the appetizer came. When the food arrived, it was cold. Never got the complimentary bread even though I ask twice for it. I had to ask for water. We waited so long we asked for the desert to go because it had been about 2 hours into our stay already. I was charged a $0.90 “to go fee” on top of the bad service and cold food. This might be a good place on a Tuesday night, don’t go on a normal busy night, worse for a holiday.
Stopped by Uptown Sushi with a coworker for a late lunch. The service was great and the food was solid. The disappointment came after when we asked to speak with the manager, Oscar, and were told that Oscar was too busy to come by. We had just spent close to $100, it was around 3:30 PM, and the restaurant was slow. I didn’t understand why Oscar couldn’t spare five minutes to speak with paying customers. Houston has hundreds of sushi options, and customer interaction—especially from management—matters. It was disappointing that Oscar chose not to engage. For the sake of the business, that’s something Oscar may want to reconsider. Just a thought.
While the food was ok, the service was not. Making us wait 40 min to order food when there was four tables in the entire restaurant is not a good a sign. Everytime I looked up our server was on her cell phone. I had to get up and go get my own silverware/ chopsticks. I also had to get up and go ask for water. The salmon belly was really good! Sushi was good. Service - not so much.
On January 17th, I decided to treat myself to lunch. I sat at the bar and was served by the bartender Ziphion. He recommended the Parmesan Flounder paired with a glass of Chardonnay. It was the most delicious meal and the wine was an excellent pairing. The MOD gave me vouchers for appetizers to bring my significant other back to dine at M&S Uptown Park. I give the wine, food, and service on that day 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Because of that first time experience, I decided to return on February 7th with my significant other for dinner. We were immediately greeted and taken to our seats by who we believed was the hostess but later found out she was the manager. The dining room was beautifully decorated, calming, and inviting. Soft lighting throughout the dining room, a small lamp on each table, and smooth R&B/jazz music playing softly. The atmosphere receives five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We waited for at least 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, Edwin. By the time he greeted us, we had already made our selections for the entire meal. Both of us requested Black Tie Espressos. The appetizer was Artichoke Dip with Lump Crab. My date selected the Steak and Shrimp with the steak med-well and I selected Mahi Mahi with asparagus instead of sautéed spinach. The Black Tie Espressos came out but we were told at the time of them coming to the table that the cocktail couldn’t be smoked. It is best practice to ask the customer if they would like to make another drink selection if there’s an element of the drink that is missing. We wanted the smoke that was advertised with the drink. The saving grace is that the cocktail was still delicious. The appetizer came out next. Artichoke dip is a known favorite at several restaurants. It’s always a best seller because it’s hard to mess up. However, the dip tasted like artichoke mayonnaise dip with tuna instead of lump crab. We did not eat it. When the server came to inquire about the appetizer we informed him that we did not like it. He removed it but did not recommend a different appetizer or even inquire if we wanted another appetizer. The main course took longer to prepare because the kitchen ran out of mashed potatoes. We were made aware of this fact ahead of time and decided to wait on the mashed potatoes. We were giving an estimate time of 20 minutes. When the food arrived the steak was not cooked to my date’s satisfaction and I was still given sautéed spinach even though I asked for asparagus. The server took the steak back and went to get me asparagus. The Mahi Mahi was bland and the lump crab meat again tasted more like tuna than crab meat. When the steak was brought back out it was to my date’s satisfaction. However, the food overall lacked flavor. Toni, the manager came back to check on us. She noticed that I wasn’t eating and that my date was picking at his food. I provided her with our honest feedback and much to my date’s hesitation he provided his. We understand that servers can sometimes get overwhelmed if they have a large party or multiple tables to serve. So maybe the server may have just been off that night. We understand that the kitchen can have off nights as well. With that said, we will eventually try M&S again. Thank you Toni and Ziphion for upholding the excellence of the Landry’s brand.
I hate doing this, but I could’ve had better food at Luby’s! I wasted $150 on dry roasted pigeon, I meant chicken. Who messes up mac/cheese? The poor brussel sprouts were so hard, we tried to cut them with a steak knife. My son is a huge carnivore, he didn’t even want to finish his tough mignon. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Maybe it was the location because I hate to believe any of Tilman’s eateries are this crappy. I’m a Landry’s member. I’m so disappointed. I’m a nurse, I work very hard for my money, I didn’t have time to cook for Christmas because I got off at 7am. I’m so sad about this. As much as I love my fur son who’s 15 years old, he cannot come out and enjoy a meal with me at a public restaurant unless it’s meant for pets. ESA or OPP, animals have accidents and we don’t want to partake in such.
