Tip: Be prepared for potentially slow service and higher prices typical of airport food. Consider splitting the brisket fried rice due to its large portion size.

Stopped by for breakfast and ordered the breakfast burrito—honestly, the food exceeded my expectations. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming, and service was smooth. If you’re flying through Houston, I definitely recommend making a quick stop here.
I really enjoyed this stop while in the Houston airport! Cool ambiance and the brisket fried rice was tasty and a big portion, could probably be split between 2 people! After taxes and tip it was $28 which is high, but not so bad if you split it! The service was nice and my sever refilled my water quickly!
I came here for a change of vibe and scenery as I frequent places am used to, but my friend has been talking about this place's sushis' non-stop. So, I decided "Eh why not change is good anyways". She was right the sushis are amazing I loved it not only that but the service was good despite it being quite packed today. I spoke with Patty the sushi chef regarding my sushi because hers are amazing! I give this a 100 out of 10 This is my new favorite spot!
The food wasn’t fantastic but it was better than expected and enough to fill you for your flight which was surprising. My partner said the smoked brisket fried rice was good. The rice in my bowl wasn’t prepared correctly and the chicken was extra crispy which some may like. Best part was comfortable table to sit out with charging outlets.
This is the second time I have been to this place die a quick meal before I board my plane, it's a nice little sit down area and it is comfortable, The service is good, however it takes a very long time so give yourself time if you had to board a plane soon. The sushi is very fresh and delicious, however this is the second time there is item on the menu but then not available.
Understaffed kitchen and service. Okay good. You can see the Cooks are working hard and doing their best but not well supported. Food takes at the very least 30 minutes to be ready, even for something simple. They were out of multiple items on the menu and many people had stuff missing from their order.
I ordered the Thai style vegan ramen yet asked if I could add beef and they were accommodating to my request. The order came within 10-12 min. The soup was tasty: salty and with a kick of spice which I enjoyed. But as you can see the soup did NOT have udon noodles as ordered. The raw carrots were cut thick like those you would order with wings. Not very typical for a soup. I also didn’t see daikon in my soup yet it had radish. The rest of the vegetables and noodles were cooked well. The soup was not bad, yet not what I ordered or expected. For $20 I expected more, even at an airport.
I read a few reviews stating that Yume has some of the best sushi in Houston and that the food is really good… It’s hard to tell if that is sarcasm, purchased reviews, or sincere. It’s not the worst airport food I’ve had but it’s far from the best even to airport standards. From the decor and outward appearance, I assumed Yume would be at least decent but I was disappointed. First off, the service is so bad. I should’ve known when you have to tip when submitting your order via QR code link that the service was going to be bad but I wasn’t expecting to not even get water and to be ignored completely after my food being delivered. The employees were too busy having fun with each other and actively avoiding customers. The person who seemed like the manager was just walking around to other restaurants and fooling around there too taking all the time in the world. The food is mediocre at best. The miso soup tastes like it came straight from a packet. The mushrooms in it were completely raw and cold. Green onions tasted like straight up soap. The brisket fried rice wasn’t too bad and the portion was massive but it was really bland and just tasted like everything got thrown together. I understand that choices are slim at an airport but maybe just go to some fast food spot. You’ll get more service there at least.
Very disappointing experience. For the price, the delay, the missing items, and the poor attitude from employees, the experience was unacceptable. I would not return. We ordered at the kiosk and paid nearly $90 for three plates (around $25 each). After paying, we sat down and were told the seating was not for “to go orders”, which was confusing and poorly communicated. We waited over 45 minutes for the food and saw multiple people cancel their food in a rush to board their flights. When the food finally arrived, one of the bowls had no vegetables at all. I went to politely ask about it, and the staff was dismissive and rude. 0/10 would recommend
Overall bad - do not recommend. Had been wanting to try this as an alternative to the United Lounge Food. Overpriced food for the value, no taste, and shoddy service on top of it. Dumplings were too hot and burnt me even with a small bite. They didn’t give the sweet and sour sauce that came with it. When I asked for the sauce, they said they didn’t have any. So I had to eat the dry dumplings without any sauce? Then I had to ask them for soy sauce instead. They didn’t give me chopsticks or any silverware and again we had to ask for that as well. Service was very slow through they tried to be nice. Won’t be going here again.
The place is nice and has a pleasant atmosphere. You can tell they have a large, well-designed bar, and the space itself is inviting if you just want to sit down for a drink. Unfortunately, the food was not good. I ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls and they were really bad. I also ordered a chicken katsu bowl with cabbage, white rice, and fried chicken. The rice was very dry and lacked flavor. I ate the food because I had already ordered it, but I did not enjoy it. One important thing to know: you have to pay before receiving your food, so if you don’t like it or want to return it, that’s not really an option. Overall, I do not recommend this place for food. Maybe okay for drinks only, but the food is not worth it.
The food was okay it’s self, but my mom ordered the miso soup and when she did the server immediately charged her a tip which she did not like at all. The server said that they get paid $2.00 an hour, don’t know if she was lying or not but if you do please go find a better job or tell your manager to pay you more ! Once my mom got her miso soup she said it was really small but it was still good. But I saw that she looked really sad that the server charged her a tip without her permission and I don’t like to see my parents sad. Oh and I saw the miso soup on the website and it looked bigger than what the server gave to my mom which was a lot more smaller. This is my review I know you guys are in an airport but do better ! Also stop charging tip without people’s consent!
I would say don't let the pretty atmosphere fool you. I would give them 0 stars. This is the restaurant that will now cause me to look up an airport restaurant rating first before going. They have 1/3 of the food on the menu actually available. It's stupid expensive. $31 for shrimp stir fry bowl. Took 25 minutes for my ramen. The ramen was clumpy, soft, and sad. I picked up all the ramen in my bowl in one swoop. We wanted "Asian" food because we've been travelling away from home and missing other flavors. My partner got their general tsos chicken bowl and it was a really weird flavor. I wanted to actively tell people not to waste their time, money, or patience. We felt like panda Express down 200ft would be more worth your while.
This place is extraordinarily overpriced for the portion you get. $28 for a bowl with rice and the smallest portion of chicken and peppers. My partner also got a bowl and he had double the rice, but just 4 pieces of tofu that we had paid extra for. The presentation was also pretty messy. Sauce all over the outside of the bowls. The only thing that saved this place was that the flavors were pretty good. Our edamame appetizer came after we had finished our entrees too. The bowl the edamame came in had random specs of other food in it - not just salt - it was clear there was some cross contamination happening. And there was a lag between me and my partner getting our meals. I would just get a grab and go sandwich next time :/ the waitress who came to take our order was really nice at least. Spent $95 on two bowls, edamame, 1 beer, and 1 non alcoholic drink.
Over-priced mediocre food would normally get 3 stars at an airport from me. Maybe even 4 if the employees are nice. The fact that the staff didn't seem to care and it took nearly 40 minutes to get a chicken broccoli bowl after ordering without it being busy at all, and you get one star. IAH has a bunch of reasonable good food options. This is not one of them.
This is my first time ever leaving a negative review I have never experienced anything this unprofessional at an airport restaurant. We ordered at the Marketplace with almost an hour before boarding. It was a simple order, a pulled pork sandwich and shrimp fried rice. We never received our food. There were no customers ahead of us, no crowd, nothing to justify the delay. Every time we tried to ask a question, we were blatantly ignored. One employee finally approached us, not to help, but to tell us to move to the “other side” because where we were standing was “for customers.” Apparently waiting 45 minutes for food that never comes does not qualify you as a customer here. We were not allowed to sit at the bar or counter seating unless we ordered directly from there, even though it is the same establishment. So we literally had to stand for almost an hour waiting on an order that was never started. When our flight began boarding, we asked again and were casually told they had not even begun preparing our food. The cook was walking around aimlessly, with no urgency and no awareness. Every employee looked like they would rather be anywhere else. The atmosphere suggested no training, no management, and no care. We had to practically chase someone down just to request a refund. The same employee who told us to move acted like she wanted us to just disappear. Then we were told a manager had to handle refunds. That added another 10 minutes of standing around while our flight was being called. When the manager finally showed up, it became clear why the service is so bad. The attitude starts at the top. She could not process the refund, gave us vague steps to request it online, and sent us on our way. It has now been two days and we still have no confirmation, no response, and no acknowledgement whatsoever. At first, we thought maybe we were being singled out, but after reading other reviews, it turns out this is just how they treat everyone. Completely untrained staff, rude service, and zero accountability. The fact that this place can take money for food it never makes, ignore customers for nearly an hour, and then make them chase down a refund that still has not been processed is unbelievable in a place where travelers rely on timeliness. Airport management needs to look into this location immediately. I do not care if someone is tired, new, or stressed. This is basic hospitality that was not met on any level. And by the way, my refund please ????
Would give 0 stars if I could. Super slow service even though there are 4 people in the kitchen (that all seemed stoned). $18 for a chicken sandwich that resembles the Fire festival sandwich?!? Also watched the person making my sandwich smear Katsu sauce onto the bread with her gloved finger that I’m pretty sure she just used to clean.
Terrible service. Trying to order something for me and my kid right before our flight. The guy tells me I cannot order until i sit down because he cant have kids at the bar. We are not even sitting at the bar, just want to expedite the order and avoid him the walk. One thing is to sit at the bar to eat with a kid, another to simply order so then you can sit down. I sit down literally 10 feet at the tables next to the bar, then he takes my order 🙄. What apower trip. There are many better ways to convey the policy while still being helpful. One way... he could have said is... hey you can't sit at the bar with a kid ( assumption nevertheless ) but let me know what you want while you find a spot and well finish taking your order. To top it off the forget the edames in the ramen, i tell the guy and he forgets to ask the kitchen. Been wating 10mins for them. When he fugally Congress back he tells me the had not put it in because they weren't pitted but I could take some with the skin to go. So basically, they were hoping I didn't notice.
I had the tonkatsu ramen, which took 28 minutes to be delivered to my table. This ramen has to be the worst I have ever had in my life time. The ramen itself was floury, powdery, and tasted like dough (noodles all kind of stuck together) I have never tasted ramen this. Also, the soup wasn’t hot, and the pork was way overcooked.
Some of the worst airport food I’ve had. Even worse when you consider the price. $18 for what is essentially half a sandwich, raw cabbage, and nothing else. The chicken breast was razor thin as was the bread. Will not be coming back nor recommending. Partner got a katsu rice bowl and it was three slivers of the same chicken on some raw cabbage and undercooked rice, and a drizzle of sauce for $25. Absolutely infuriating what airport food has become. Server was fine.
