So Yummy!!! Thai is a FAVORITE! I make the 25 minute drive just because their food is soooo delicious and THAT good! Great prices too! I'm always looking for new things to try. My kids are picky eaters but they are now in love with IB Thai! Thank you for the quality and great customer service!
The Yellow Curry is so good. I love the drunken noodles too. If you get the coconut soup go with shrimp or chicken in it. I got it with tofu and it was just ok. The green curry was good but oddly enough was twice as good warmed up the next day! Like really good. I love this new addition to our little area!
I love IB Thai, and here’s why: Of the limited options in Imperial Beach, not only do they have one of the best and most reliable delivery services, their food is well priced and unbelievable tasty. I personally love the Pad Kra Prao and the Orange Chicken. The food makes me feel great, unlike many places I’ve been before, the service is always friendly, and again, the food tastes and feels great. When I want asian food close to home, I go for IB Thai.
I always get good to go as this place isn’t well decorated but their Thai food is fantastic. Fresh and not overly oily or salty like so many other Asian food restaurants in South Bay. Delicious and very well priced.
I had orange chicken with rice and vegetable. The chicken was tender and delicious. The orange sauce was really good. Service was fast and friendly. My companion had mango curry with chicken, and thai ice tea. Coconut milk was substituted for cow milk... it was a great lunch!
First time trying this Thai place, ordered the shrimp Tom kha, eggplant with beef and chicken pad Thai. Everything was good, Tom kha was very lemony just how I like it. Be careful with the spicyness level as I got 4 and it was getting spicy. Overall everything was good, I'll probably come here again for Thai food.
Their pad Thai was awesome! My wife got the panang curry, which was equally delicious. We're really happy with this place and will definitely be going back! The prices are very reasonable as well. Thank you for a good experience.
Love the touches of fusion in the dishes. First Orange Chicken that our little guy has liked from anywhere but Panda Express! The California fresh spring rolls were also a highlight! And it was nice to have the crab wontons too (not just cream cheese!). Of course the thai food we tried (ckn satay, Green curry, Pad Thai, mango sticky rice) were all delicious too. New family favorite!
I love the Thai Tea with boba, sweet rice& mango, papaya and the meat salad. Been a fan since they opened. Great customer service and will recommend going there than any other Thai food in the South Bay!
I've been here twice in a week!! Love the cashew nut plate. It tastes fresh and spicy. I will be back to try other dishes!
IB Thai is authentic Thai food. There isn’t much to say besides this is the best place, in San Diego, to go for real Thai food, I will drive down from golden hill. The restaurant is family style so be kind. They make this food with love.
I happened to be stopped at the light on that corner, and realized I've eaten food from IB Thai, as delivered to my hotel by Door Dash, many times. So without hesitation, I parked and went inside to order dinner for my companion and I. I'm guessing that the friendly greeting I received was from the owner. I was surprised that there was no printed menu, and the electronic menus on the wall were dark. I did notice a prominent QR code, which probably would have directed me to order online. Instead, I already knew that I wanted green curry chicken, rice, pad Thai chicken, and mango sticky rice. After ordering, I stepped outside and enjoyed the late afternoon breeze while I sat at one of two tables with chairs. I didn't have long to wait for my order, and I've enjoyed each of the items I brought back to the hotel. IB Thai is a local go-to for me!
Really good! So much food for the price, all entrees were perfectly cooked and the Thai Tea Boba was amazing!! We got the Panang Curry #6 ( couco have been spicier but so good) the orange chicken plate and the friend chicken wings.... The chicken wings were the best I've ever had and my boyfriend agreed ( and he works in the industry!) TRY IT OUT! Ithink you will be happy 😊😊
I take my daughter there almost every day after school, a very good place to stop in and eat.
Pickup here for Uber eats, customers popular pick is DRUNKEN NOODLES! SOM TUM (Papaya Salad), shrimp fresh rolls, and Pad Thai Noodles, customer favs! Lots of orders here! Thank you for having my orders ready!!
Place is little but kept clean. Has a few small tables for outdoor dining. Portions are large and prices are great. We ordered the drunken noodles with tofu and the drunken rice. Their sauce is tangy and super spicy!! Young lady at the register is very friendly and professional.
We have ordered from this place and each time they go above and beyond with quantity and quality. Can’t beat the price. We always order papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, drunken noodles and mango sticky rice. We have compared it to neighboring Thai restaurants and none have checked off our boxes like IB Thai. We are forever customers! 🤩
The only place to get bomb Thai food in IB !!! I ordered the mango curry w. Chicken and drunken noodles w. Beef and every single spoonful was savory kids also loved it practically licking their plates after I loved it so much I called them the next day to let them know they doing it the right way 🤌🏼
New favorite Thai place. The food was excellent and as spicy as advertised which I loved. The dumplings were good as well. Ordered takeout but the staff was friendly and the restaurant seemed to have a nice atmosphere
I had been “stalling” on this place for a while now… decided to order some takeout; and WoW was is worth the wait. Picked up their Yellow Curry , Chicken Cashew (spicy), Chicken and Shrimp pad Thai, shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls and side orders of fried and white rice. Every plate was delicious!! I will recommend that you place a phone order and avoid a wait time. This place was booming with pick up orders when I showed up. A few customers toy could tell had been waiting for a while as walk up customers…
First time ordering from here because I really wanted some Panang curry and mango sticky rice. Also wanted to try their chow mein and orange chicken. Uber Eats delivered everything hot and it was well-packed. Everything had SUCH amazing flavor and was very fresh. I ordered the curry mild and it was delicious but still had a little spice, just in case anyone is sensitive to spicy foods. The orange chicken had a homemade orange sauce flavor and the noodles were tasty. All the vegetables that accompanied everything were crisp and fresh, nothing was mushy. The mango sticky rice had the SWEETEST mangoes. The rice was a bit too chewy in parts, but it had a lovely coconut sauce. Definitely going back!
I got the Pad Thai noodles with a shrimp chicken and beef combo, with the level 8 spice. It was very savory and well portioned I also got the Thai tea, it was quite alright but maybe for someone which enjoys sweets (which is me)
There food is amazing however the price is a lil high i paid maybe twice more what i woupd anywhere else buuuuuut the quality is twice as better as it is anywhere else so im not complaining
Eggplant dish was amazing. I'm diabetic and it's hard to find good healthy food. The fried veggie spring rolls were great to.

AWESOME FOOD they never miss and have been consistent for the past couple years I’ve ordered from them. The cooks are amazing with the flavors and expectations
Amazing staff, super nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. Hidden gem in IB!!
I mostly order take out, but they’re easily my fave Thai place in IB! The curries, spicy eggplant and crab rangoons are my fave dishes!
Love this local gem. Food is consistently delicious and fresh. I have yet to dine in, but the establishment is very clean and there appears to be seating for roughly 40. The workers are kind and friendly, and the pricing is very reasonable, which is a plus.
Always good food, short wait and a good price , see you there
I love their Pad Thai and curry. They have plenty of other yummy dishes too! 😋 Great for when you don't have a lot of time to sit down and eat, or if you do have time.
So far we've had the yellow curry, the fried rice, and the orange chicken. I really enjoyed the curry. It's rich, hearty, and full of flavor. Mine had just a hint of heat. The fried rice was OK. We also really enjoyed the the orange chicken, which we almost didn't try after reading a couple spotty reviews, but we went ahead and ordered it and it was delicious! We both thought it was better than Panda. This place is not as big or as fancy as the other 2 Thai places on Palm or Seacoast, and the parking can be tricky, but the food doesn't disappoint! Can't wait to try some of the noodle dishes.

I got the Mussaman Curry with Veggies it was delicious, but I do think they should give more rice with the dish. I also got the Pad Thai and it was delicious. Overall, it was very good food.
Their food is really good, so 5 stars for the food, but the amount of time it takes is kind of rediculous. If they say 30mins, expect to wait another 30. Today it said 40mins and my order actually took 1.5hours. This has happened every time I order from them. So... the only reason I keep going back is because the food is good.
Actually pretty good place, totally better than what was here before, which I never ate at. The iced coffee and iced tea is very good, I wish they were open in the morning on my way to work, it is only 3 blocks from my house. The pineapple fried rice was bland, it needing more seasoning. Their numbers on levels don't seem the same as elsewhere. I got a 4 and it wasn't very spicy. The chicken cashew is good, wish it were a plum sauce but good overall, not many cashews, even when I ordered extra. Husband got the drunken noodles and he loved it. We have also gotten the mango rice dessert (totally not a fan, but didn't eat it warm), and the crispy egg rolls which were very good. We dig this place. We will return, especially for the drinks!
Obviously family owned and operated. Food 🥘 is an 8 out of 10. Owner/ Chef super friendly and accommodating. This place isn’t good enough for the family that owns it. The facility is out dated, no climate control, and no restroom. Perfect for delivery or takeout. Please support this place they have been here many years and deserve a better location for dine in.
This is a small and affordable Thai place in IB with some respectable lunch offerings. I’ve been craving Thai food after trying it in Pacific Beach and I wanted some despite being down here near home, so I tried this place out for lunch on like a Thursday at 2:50 PM. I got myself the Chicken Pad Thai Lunch at spicy level 5, which comes accompanied with a salad covered in a type of peanut sauce, and 2 pork gyoza. Paired it up with some veggie rolls and my friend wanted her side of rice and we had a pretty hefty meal for only around 24 dollars with our drinks included. I have to say though, that I didn’t love the Pad Thai this time and the chicken seemed a bit dry to me. The noodles were also not my favorite and I’m not really sure how to describe why they weren’t but the flavor, texture, and vibe was just really not there for me. I also just didn’t love the veggie rolls because they had a very mild but still underlying wrong flavor that you get like when you buy those make at home spring rolls and they just don’t hit like they’re supposed to. The lunch deals are cheap and the food isn’t disgusting, but it’s not the best Thai i’ve had here in San Diego (55 Thai is still king) and I can’t say I recommend this spot. I’m gonna change the noodle types and I’ll be back for a second calling, but I really made me sad because I wanted this Thai food to be bomb soooo bad. It’s ok thought, they were still very nice and acocomodating, and they have boba so maybe i’ll try that too and see what else they have to offer. To sum everything up tho, DO GET the lunches if you can make it before 3 PM because the price makes it worth getting the food every time i mean mann just look at the leftovers I had. DO NOT get the veggie rolls I’m sorry I hate that they were bad but they were not good. And outside of that try this place out once especially if you can catch the deals but do come in with some lower expectations. And I would drop my spice down to like a 3 it’s not that I don’t like spicy but I’m big on you can always add, never take out and 5 was just a tad bit too spicy for me. Outside from all that, it’s DAYGOEATS approved but not certified📋.
Really good and tasty !! I don't put 5 stars because that's for my favorite place that is like 25 min from home but I am so glad this place opened near because will help the cravings of Thai food when I am not in mood of drive so far. I am a Thai food Lover !! The place is very clean, service is good and the food like I said is really good because you can see and taste that is freshly cook and they serve it really HOT so careful with the first bite 🤣. That is Pad Thai and got it to go in case dont finish. But have tried the chicken Satay, the Panang Curry and everything is delicious.
panamg curry very good n there was some appetizers wings were amazing

I went there today for a fresh roll and these were amazing. The staff were very sweet and the food was amazing. You have to try it. Don’t miss out on this small gem if your in Imperial Beach area.
Ordered takeout to my hotel. Food arrived very quickly via Uber eats and was delicious. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai with veggies. I wanted a hint of spice so I only picked 1/10, but it was more like a 4/10 or so. Next time I will order no spice. But all and all I really liked it. The mango sticky rice was also amazing!

quiet and nice. i can’t eat pork. they said the wonton soup was chicken and shrimp, then they said beef and shrimp. i bit in and pretty sure it’s pork because my stomachs been cramping and i’m hunched over the toilet puking (also looked and tasted like pork). veggie egg rolls seemed kinda raw inside but still was yummy. seaweed salad was great and the milk tea. i still stand by the crab fried rice, i should’ve got that instead.
This used to be our go-to place ever since it opened, but the proportions have gone way down. Crab and pineapple fried rice used to have a lot of the main ingredient, but not anymore. Curry used to come with enough rice for 2 people, but now it doesn't even fill me up. Taste is good, but I feel disappointed that it's not what it used to be.
It's not terrible, but it is a shame to see the little Chinese food place finally go out of business. I don't know if I will come back to this place, the prices are a bit steep for the quality and quantity of food. Maybe if they start using fresher ingredients and add a little more flavor to the food and bring the prices down to a fair amount, I could see this place gaining a higher rating.
Original Post: Great new Thai restaurant that is hands down better than the other two in the area! The staff is great and willing to help make the order how you would like it. They actually make a 10 out of 1-10 for spicy food so ask for that 10! The restaurant is kept very clean. The only down side is parking is tight, but is not the end of the world. I haven't had anything that I didn't like yet , which is a great sign. Great job guys! Update June 26, 2022: This restaurant has gone downhill quickly when it comes to quality! You could in the past get the food spicy as all hell, but you are now luck to get it as a 2. We have actually stopped coming entirely for the past year. It is sad that a great 5 star restaurant fall apart. There is little to no consistency now in all dishes. I am going back through all my reviews of restaurants to be more stringent and to compete my due diligence of each. I have set forth three rules that all restaurant will need to follow to get a three star rating. The three rules for restaurants is the keep it fresh, keep it clean, and keep it simple! Getting a four or five star will become harder, but not impossible! Why? Well, people rating poor restaurants as five stars when they are barely a two or three is commonplace in Google Maps and I would like to fix this problem. On the plus side it is more accurate then yelp. The rule on yelp is never go to a restaurant with a 4.7-4.9 rating Since the numbers are arbitrary and the owners of the restaurants can modify them. A 4.3-4.5 tends to be a better restaurant.

Bought the orange chicken, extremely salty and sweet. This dish was leftover meat revived with salt and sugar to bring to it's peak taste. It gave me and my daughter headaches and swollen sensation. It's a dis grace food they are serving today thru food delivery.
Ordered orange chicken. Called in order. Said 15 min. Got there 20 minutes later not ready.paid immediately no biggie.wait 20 minutes more its finally ready. Get home.chicken way over cooked.sauce included some kind of buffalo wing taste to it. Nasty if your expecting orange chicken..the taste of the actual chicken tasted like old meat.perfectly safe when cooked well done like it was.. I wasnt impressed.
Picked up order for take out. Was ready within 15 minutes as promised. The larb salad had wayyyyy too much cilantro stem, and brown, bitter romaine lettuce. Spent almost ten minutes picking out all the stems. Made it hard to enjoy what could have otherwise been a delicious salad. Thom kha was good, wonton soup was good. Pad see ew could have had more pork for being a $10 dish. Salad was cool, soups were warm. Noodles were good temp. We're local to this restaurant (like a block away), but after 4 visits, we won't try again.
