Avis sur 106 Seafood Underground Inglewood
Such a cool experience and atmosphere - the food was incredible and the most authentic Mexican/seafood I’ve had. Honestly didn’t really know what to expect walking up. But it’s full sit down dining service. Everything was perfect - we got the green apple ceviche, marlin tacos and shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were perfectly breaded and perfect. Never had marlin tacos, but these were incredible. Ceviche was a perfect concoction of greatness. Loved everything we got here
After finding about this hidden place on YouTube, we drove there on Saturday afternoon. The restaurant in literally in the backyard of a house and it’s hiding until you get to the end of the driveway where a beautifully arranged open air eating area in waiting for you. The friendly waitress, who I believe is the chef’s family member, explained the menu and we ordered three of their most popular dishes: marlin tacos, ceviche marinero and drunken shrimp. All three proved to be so delicious that I cannot recommend one over the other. The atmosphere is friendly and the Mexican music playing gets taken over only by the planes over head landing at LAX. Notes: Cash only! And parking can be a challenge. Otherwise very highly recommended. We’ll be back to try more food from this LA hidden gem
This little jewel is in an expansive backyard of a house. It has a surprising amount of space but you may still have to wait due to popularity. The food is very delicious and very fresh! We had the Ceviche Tropical, Chicharrones de Pezcado, and Camarones Borrachos, and for drinks horchata and a michelada. Was way too much food for 2 but it was all delicious! Would highly recommend the Ceviche Tropical and Camarones Borrachos, and will be coming back to try the tacos!
Mis langostinos en salsa are out of this world! Uff so delicious! My cousin had fish tacos she love them!! All the stars to this hidden jewel in Lennox. I cannot wait to go back!!
“Do you want to eat the best Mexican Mariscos… ever?” - my best friend “Um, suuuure. Where are we going? - me Cut to us driving down the 105 Freeway, to Inglewood and eventually to a house in the hood to have THE BEST Mariscooooos this side of the border. This spot (the backyard of someone’s house) is ‘bout to blow up, so plan your visit before The LA Times and/or EATER profiles it - at that point, the wait will be at least 3hrs and parking non-existent. What to order: Aguachiles, Camarones Al Mojo Ajo, Ceviche Marinero ¡Muchas gracias Chef Sergio Peñuelas - su comida es deliciosa!
This is an LA gem....one of my all-time favorite places to dine. Great service and amazing food. Camarones borrachos 👌 Cash only or zelle!
Bomb real Mexican mariscos and large portions. Ceviche is perfectly seasoned, best so far I’ve found in LA that compares to my mom’s. 👌🏽
Fabulous service, exceptionally friendly. Food was just perfect, a must visit if you’re in the area ❤️

Always a good Sunday when me and friends end up at 106. Family and friends always welcome at this low key spot. Try the Marlin tacos!

We got there before 11am but were given a table instantly. Orders were taken at 11, ordered a ceviche de mansana,5/5, the shrimp tacos 5/5 and the shrimp plate...we also ordered the fish and unfortunately, it was salty. Next time, we'll asked them to make it with very little salt.. The place and the service was really good.
The servers and other people who work here need to come up with a way that is quicker and more efficient to wait less time on food. *Just a suggestion, not personal.* To the guest who visit this place of business keep in mind the food is being prepared fresh. Nothing pre-cooked and this site is a home property. Meaning guests have to be prepared to wait for service. But this is just what I have experienced the couple times I've been here.

The food was good but the service is bad! Unorganized. Prepare to wait a long time to get in and then another 30-45 minutes to be served. We spend approximately 3 hours with the wait time and Service so be patient.

The location is no longer in the back of the home. It is now located at a brick and morter. good outdoor space, nice restaurant. The quality of the food is good, it's the wait times. My party of 2 waited over 45 minutes for two orders of ceviche. ALSO NO BEER we understand that they are waiting for permits to be granted but from what we heard it will be a few months.

Hi! Wanted to leave an honest review. I want to start off mentioning that both me and family have been coming to 106 seafood underground since early 2023 - when they were still servicing in a family backyard. During their service at their home, the food was very exceptional and tasty. The only thing that wasn’t pleasant was the parking. Moving fast forward to July 2024, they moved their location to an official restaurant building. First, they did not update their location on google maps, so I had to call to ask for the new location. The parking is exceptional at the new location and wasn’t too packed. Once we were inside we noticed that the waitresses seemed to be all out of place. There were attendees after us having to wait for a big while cause the front desk sent them to be seated but the waitresses did not have any tables ready, the waitresses didn’t mentioned to them to go back to be seated in the front until the tables were ready, so they wouldn’t have to stand for too long, since some were carrying babies with them, they instead had them wait in the corner, standing. It very clear to everyone that there wasn’t clear communication within the staff. When it came to the chips and salsa, they only had one option of salsa, that was unbearably spicy to one’s taste, none of us were able to enjoy the salsa. I would recommend to have at least two options of salsa to not be exclusive. We ordered the borracho shrimp, once our ordered came - we immediately noticed the shrimp was drenched with too much red pepper, we had to send that back to have the cook remake them. We had a ceviche to go, but once we got home and decided to eat it later, we noticed the shrimp was still very much raw - to the point where we had to add lemon to marinate the shrimp throughly. Also, they literally added a palm size amount of shrimp, it made me laugh, out of disbelief. I’m not so sure what’s going on with this place anymore, but I hope they do take notice of others constructive feedback to better their business with others.

Was there this past Sunday and order aguachiles. I got food poisoned due to them. Shrimp was warm instead of cold like they were sitting out for a while. Never again
worst shrimp I’ve ever had, no flavor all spice and too much of it, was just spicy and had no flavor what do ever, had soooo much oil as well
