Delicious and served quickly. The food was great and the dishes keep their warmth to enjoy at a leisurely pace. Banchan was great selection and portions were big. Great price and atmosphere. Highly recommend

This is a restaurant that offers Korean comfort food with various options. The portion was huge which made sense from the higher price tag. Each dish can feed 2-3 people. Service was friendly and our server frequently checked on us and refilled our side dishes. * LA Galbi 5/5 - Good tasting, plenty of meat. Came with rice. * Octopus Fried Rice 5/5 - Great combination of flavors. I love the crispy rice bits at the bottom. There was a good amount of octopus pieces. * Soy Bean Cold Noodles 4/5 - This was my first time having this, and it was pretty good. The noodles were chewy and smooth. The broth was creamy, milky, and nutty from the soy milk. The coolness was nice for a hot day.

If you’re in Irvine and craving something flavorful, Tang 190 is a must! We went for the Cabbage Galbi Tang, Seafood Pancake, and Galbi Bibimbap, and everything was fire. The Galbi Tang had rich, savory broth with tender meat and just the right kick. The Seafood Pancake was crispy on the outside, with loads of fresh seafood inside—totally addictive. And the Galbi Bibimbap? A perfect mix of flavors with that crispy rice crunch at the bottom! Each dish was on point, and the vibe at Tang 190 is super chill but elevated. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re in the area! ☺️

Came across Tang 190 in this plaza that has everything and plenty of parking! They have this nice outdoor patio, but I sat inside and was really impressed by the interior. Spacious with this modern-retro vibe! The staff were fast and friendly. Me and my friends ordered quite a feast with makgeolli: Bossam (Pork & Kimchi Wrap Platter), Rice Cake & Dumplings Soup, Gamjatang, Spicy Chilled Noodle, and Seafood Green Onion Pancake. Everything tasted good, but I especially loved the bossam and spicy chilled noodles!!! The place is super clean and perfect for casual Korean food with a group.

I want to give a well deserved 5 star review to the staff all the way to the manager and owner for the service they offered last night in such important day. Food what top notch and the ambient it was perfect. Definitely it a place that you must visit more than one time for the menu they have.

Very good place for Korean comfort food. The restaurant itself is not too big but offers a nice comfy patio. Back rib soup is a must-have, the beef fell off the bones so easily and was packed with the flavor of the beef, yet still clear and not too heavy on the tastebuds. I loved the octopus rice plate too. The seafood and green onion pancake was not my favorite tho, only because I prefer crispy kind of pancakes and this was more on the fluffy side. The owner and people were super nice and friendly, def recommend!

I went to tang190 with my friend on Friday and the staff service was very friendly and good. It was a good day with a comfortable atmosphere, quick service, and delicious food (especially bossam and galbitang). In slightly cold weather, soups are good, and I would recommend it even more on days like these.

I had 보쌈 and 갈비탕 the taste and the service was perfect! Try 보쌈! The side dish was my favorite.

It’s always the small mom-and-pop shops like this one that are serving up lowkey amazing Korean comfort food with the most caring service too. The cabbage in the galbi-tang soaked up that delicious broth and was a crowd favorite, but what really got me going was this gigantic galbi bibimbap. The trick is to wait for the rice on the bottom to get a little scorched from the stone pot, then mix it all up for maximum texture. And ginseng chicken soup with an entire half chicken that was fall-apart tender and would literally cure a sick person INSTANTLY. Thanks for reading! ^-^

Really liked the galbi tang (beef rib soup)! It came with 3-4 pieces of beef rib bones and clear potato noodles and rice on the side. Love their side dishes too! The seaweed is so addicting! And so is their kimchi too!

We have the octupos fried rice, galbi and back rib soup. The back rib soup is my favorite among the 3 offerings. My daughter was also a fan. Kimchi and cucumber banchan was really good too.

Back-rib soup was so comforting, and the Japchae was sweet and savory. Enjoyed the side dishes and hot tea that came with our meal; the seaweed banchan was delicious, and the kimchi wasn’t spicy which was surprising and unique. Service was attentive and patient even though we came in 30 minutes before they closed.

Tang 190 has the best of both worlds - classic, authentic Korean food served in a modern, clean restaurant. I sometimes feel like it’s one or the other, but they nailed it. They also have really great service. I was really impressed with the galbi tang here. The radish kimchi (kkakdoogee) was AMAZING. So crunchy and well fermented. The galbi tang is the closest flavor I’ve had to galbi tang in Korea. Rich beef flavor, fall apart tender beef ribs, and the broth just wraps you like a warm hug. Very nostalgic flavor for me. Delicious!

This place is extraordinary, I come here at least once a week, my favorite restaurant of all time. The soup is absolutely delicious and the meat is perfectly cooked. I definitely recommend this spot if you love some Korean cuisine and there’s also unlimited appetizers including spicy, savory fish cakes and seaweed! The service was amazing, they remember you and know what you want to order if you come here often.

My boyfriend's family are old customers to this restaurant. They really loves this place that they couldn't stop talking about how good the soup and the appetizers are! We drove a long way to visit. I totally agree that the appetizers are the best out of all the Korean restaurants I have been in life so far. They ordered the beef soup and I tried the ginseng chicken. The beef soup I thought it was pretty decent, but my boyfriend's family said the meat portion was way less than what it was years ago. Which the portion wasn't very satisfying for them. As for my ginseng chicken, I couldn't taste any ginseng at all from the soup, nor did I see any ginseng in the soup. It was more like a Korean clean chicken broth soup rather than ginseng chicken soup. I have had better in Vancouver, B.C.. Appetizers were a 5 star, ginseng soup was a near 2 to 3 star for me. Beef soup as a first timer, it's a 4 to 5.

Great place for Korean comfort food with decent price. The back-rib soup is very delicious. The bulgogi rice plate has great portion. The fried dumpling was a little too oily, so just okay.

Our food was delicious and authentic from my memories of Korea. I had the cold noodles in beef broth and my husband had the spicy pork and potato stew. The servings of sides were sufficient for us both. I can't eat spicy foods, so skipped the kimchi, but I enjoyed the potato salad, "o-daeng", and kelp (?). The one thing I noticed that I think could be better was service to another table. The person could not speak English well and was trying to pay with a non-accepted form of payment. One server was scolding the customer loudly with no compassion for his language struggles. This type of restaurant should expect non-English speakers and have more patience with them. I know it can be frustrating because I work with non-English speakers as well, but there are better ways to handle the situation. However, I know everyone can have a bad day, so I won't let an understandable incident stop me from recommending this restaurant. Note: They don't seem to take Apple Pay, and currently offer a small discount for those who pay in cash.

I have been here only about three times and while I enjoyed the food, the service is not very good. The servers are always trying to hurry you up, even if it wasn't as busy when I went. Sometimes you have to ask for scissors more than twice before you get it. Anyway, besides that, the food is reasonably priced for a Korean restaurant. Their Pork Cutlet is huge but it's quite dry (the sauce made up for it, though it shouldn't be the case). I do think their Galbi Tang and their Bulgogi Rice Plate are both delicious! So I recommend those two dishes.

Tang 190 offers a warm, friendly, and attentive service that is quick to complete your meal. They have comfortable outdoor patio seating in a great location, conveniently located near shopping centers after dinner. The katsu is well-floured and delicious. While I wish the prices were lower, they are standard for most competing restaurants in the area.

Small and busy Korean restaurant inside a shopping plaza off Jeffrey. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of parking is available via the shared plaza parking lot. No wait-time as we came right as they opened but their menu is small, prices are on the higher side, and service is not friendly - our waitress kept rushing us and seemed upset when we requested more banchan (small side dishes included with your main meals). Food was good but nothing incredible. My tendon soup was very, very bland. Felt overrated and guess what, they charge you extra $$$ if you choose to pay by credit card. Something I didn't notice until after I paid 😔

Hands us menus, doesn’t seat us, doesn’t speak to us again. We stood there like props while staff happily checked on every other table, just not us. Twenty minutes later, still no seating, no order, no acknowledgment. If ignoring customers is the theme here, at least put it on the menu so people know what they’re signing up for. Completely disorganized, unbelievably rude, and a total waste of time. Plenty of restaurants manage the bare minimum of acknowledging human beings, this one apparently does not.
