Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizza offers delicious New York-style pizza with fresh ingredients. The Bronx Bomber and pinwheel pizzas are highly recommended. Some customers have experienced delays with online pickup orders and inconsistency in quality.
Tip: Order by the slice for a convenient and tasty experience, especially if you want to try different options. Be aware that online pickup orders may experience delays.
Sgt. Pizza is such a cool little spot right across from the UCI campus — perfect for grabbing a bite and hanging out with friends or family. We tried the Thai Pizza and the Secret Thai Salad, and both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were unique, fresh, and super satisfying. On top of that, the service made our visit extra special. Julie and Jayden were attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality really stood out. If you’re around UCI and craving something tasty in a relaxed setting, Sgt. Pizza is definitely worth checking out.
We placed an online pickup order on a busy Saturday night. Even though we had to wait nearly an hour for our pizza, it was well worth it. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and the customer service was exceptional. The staff were very apologetic about the delay and went above and beyond by providing us with two free slice coupons for our next visit. Their thoughtful gesture and the quality of their ingredients have definitely earned our loyalty. Highly recommend this place for both the fantastic pizza and the outstanding customer service.
This place has the most amazing pizza I've ever had and their service is great, very attentive to tables and our needs. We got the 18" Bronx Bomber and The Works. There was just 4 of us so we had plenty to take home. We also ordered a pinwheel with broccoli and spinach. Amazing!! Can't wait to go back. I went to the location in Irvine.
Amazing pizza. I love the fresh ingredients and the pizza dough is mouth melting. The dough, sauce and cheese are all on point. The curled up pepperoni is thin, but delivers a good bite. The pizza that they had was so delicious and mouth-watering. The cheese was so melted. I like their new york style pizza. I discovered this place awhile ago and still maintain the fact that it's the best pizza in Southern California. The garlic knots are on a whole other level, get them with ranch (you're welcome) though my girlfriend said mixing the ranch with the side of marinara that comes with it made it even better. The next day I couldn't stop thinking about the leftovers. I was looking forward to eating them after working from home all day. When I was done working I rushed to the fridge and started heating up the left overs in air-fry. This place is a hidden gem and they can count on me being a regular from now on. Great service and friendly staff. I had a good pick-up order experience when ordered over the computer with no complications. Praise the Pizza Gods on this place. A truly mouthwatering pizza, and I want to urge you guys to try them too. It was all worth it! Strongly recommended!
Some of the best pizza in the OC. Pizza came out fresh and was delicious. We also ordered the garlic knots and we may have liked that more than the pizza. And we really liked the pizza. Not a lot of indoor seating is the only con I have.
Went there late at night after a show and we were just searching for pizza. We seriously only came because the name was funny but we didn’t expect the food to be so incredible. I just had some classic pepperoni and an order of garlic knots and it was great. Had all the elements of a good pizza imo: Great crust Great cheese The sauce was good and so was the pepperoni (cupped pepperoni). It’s definitely a place to revisit when I’m in the area
Switched to Sgt. Pepperoni's within the last few years. Before that, it was a Gina's pizza. Great food and an amazing beer selection. The staff is really friendly. We were here on the same night as a school fundraiser, so it was a bit nuts. They have the largest gumball machine that I've ever seen.
Crunchy crust and flavourful pizzas. Love their meatball ricotta and bronx bomber pizza. Their pinwheel pizza is also a must-try! It’s like a small version of a deep dish pizza, it’s filled with tons of cheese, and the crust is buttery and soft.
The thin crust was the star of the show, light and delicious. Not only it added to the whole balance of the pizza, it didn't overwhelm the flavor of the topics. Overall, the pizza slices tasted good. Don't forget about the deals at lunch (free drink with two slices).

Tried this pizza at work and liked it enough to visit the store again. The slice and drink combo was great, with good flavor, seasoning and a solid crust. Ordering by the slice is really convenient.
This place has really good pizza. My favorite is Grandmas pie but honestly you cant go wrong with any pizza here. The service is always great. Julie is helpful and friendly. The other reason this place is amazing is because they give back to others. Right now they're collecting Legos for kids. So stop by and donate.

Originally ordered this pizza for work and enjoyed and then went in store for a slice and drink combo and that was also solid. Love that you can order by slice, good options, good undercarry and seasoning. Decent little spot also to have a beer etc.
This is the closest you’ll get to a New York style pizza in Irvine. I always order the full pie, so it is always freshly made and delicious. This place has a college atmosphere being so close to UCI. They just started the summer concert series on Fridays, which makes for a great time. Cannot comment on their pizza by the slice or their salads since I haven’t had the opportunity to try them.

Came in to get a couple of slices to go. It was pretty crowded but the attendant that helped was super friendly and courteous. Ordered what I wanted and in less than 5 minutes got my box piping hot and was on my way. Grandma's pie was delicious and filling. Will definitely repeat again and again.

*update 3 stars because they did reach out to make it right $87 for two pizzas and a pinwheel only for it to be inedible. Ive never thrown away pizza before. 2 stars not one because i was here before and loved it but i will never be back. Walked in and two bros are standing behind the cash register with an empty restaurant. I assumed they were on break because they looked at me standing at the pick up station then went back to talking for another 30 seconds. Finally one guy asked what i need and i got my pickup. Had the super bee before and loved it but it tasted like gone bad cheese and vinegar and was soaked through the box with oil. New pie of the month is absolutely not worth holding bread soup in your hands if you dont grab a corner Last time i had great service and loved 3/4 pizzas we bought. Today was garbage but i couldn't go back to complain because i was on my way to work

Expensive, subpar pizza. It’s mediocre (at best) pizza by the slice, and it’s 8 bucks a slice! I live in San Diego, and there are a handful of places around town (Regents, Zia) that have much much better pizza for lower. Not sure why anyone would go back after eating here once. I guess it’s just by comparison it’s worse food at higher margins than other places I’m accustomed to.
I ordered pizzas, salads, and garlic knots 24 hours in advance for a 2:35 PM pickup on Saturday. When my husband arrived around 2:40 PM, staff told him, “we didn’t realize it was past 2:30,” and the order hadn’t even been started. Our party, which began at 3:00 PM, didn’t receive the food until 3:30 PM due to their mistake. He was told a manager would call the next day to discuss how they could make it right, but we never received any follow-up call. While the food itself was good, the lack of preparation, accountability, and communication was extremely disappointing. For an order placed a full day in advance, this level of service was unacceptable.
Love their pizza but hate that they never meet they quoted timewhen you order online for store pickup. It is such a waste of time to show up at a store during your pickup time to be forced to wait 15-25 more minutes because they're running behind. This has happened the last four times we've ordered from here.

Update: The Pizza Bakery lunch special is $10.75 for 2/slices & bottomless soda. ALSO…Read other replies from SPP, specifically from Jennifer who’s responsible for replying to all comments is a complete arrogant, smug, elitist. She’s probably never had a great slice of pizza in her life. Try Regents or The Bronx Pizza in San Diego, or anywhere else that’s not smug Irvine/Costa Mesa. Just lowered my rating to 1. The $8 is pasta dish. *** First time here. After reading several Reddit reviews of pizza slices in Orange County this place came up a couple times. I was in the area so decided to check it out for lunch. I ordered the Bronx and the veggie - would say the Bronx was the better of the two, but nothing special. The veggie was disappointing. I thought $14 + tax for a lunch combo two slices/drink was off the charts when you go to any other place and get $10 (2) slices and a soda that I would say the quality would be maybe a little lower maybe about the same but I wouldn’t come back here. The Pizza Bakery has a lunch promo: 2 slices, drink, $8. Service was good. Atmosphere clean.
Nothing ever made right. We have tried over and over because used to be amazing. No consistency, owners will not reach out. Nina is GM with no control of staff or quality control. Pictures attached should have been light sauce on square pie and extra ranch on buffalo chicken pizza… not extra hot sauce. Not Edible!!!! This place is a joke. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!! Video shown was supposed to be well done pizza!!!
