Avis sur Riko Jackson Heights
Amazing presentation, the steak was perfectly cooked, the stone keep my food nice and warm , and the live music was great. If you are at Jackson heights better make the stop here .
I had an amazing experience at this Peruvian restaurant in New York! The flavors were vibrant and authentic, especially the ceviche and lomo saltado, which were perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was attentive without being intrusive. It truly felt like a little taste of Peru right in the heart of the city. I’ll definitely be coming back!
This wonderful little gem is better than many much pricer places around the city. Friendly and efficient service and great food. The ceviche was the best I've ever had. Super convenient to the 7 train in Jackson Heights. I definitely recommend this place.
The Parihuela seafood soup here is amazing!! Remember to add a bit if rocoto sauce and lime to it for the full experience. The rotisserie chicken is also a star. Adding the green sauce to it is a must. Service and ambiance are also comforting. They even have live music. The thing I love the must about this place is that it is in my neighborhood. All the friends I've brought there have loved it.
Fernanda was amazing! The food, the vibes were all excellent! We decided to stop by on a whim and weren’t disappointed at ALL!
Fernanda is awesome. She's knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent suggestions. Her margaritas are so very good. I
Hidden gem! Portions are generous, service is friendly, and every dish bursts with authentic Peruvian flavor. Highly recommend the pollo a la brasa and the lomo saltado—both were absolutely delicious! Manager Juan is amazing and super attentive, and waitress Paola provides exceptional service, making the whole experience even better.
Excellent Peruvian Restaurant Experience! The food at this Peruvian restaurant was absolutely amazing—full of authentic flavors and beautifully prepared. The drinks were refreshing and paired perfectly with our meal. The service was truly unique; we had the pleasure of speaking with the manager, Juan, whose attention and hospitality were a solid 10 out of 10. He made our visit feel special from start to finish. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy with family, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended
I have lived in Jackson Heights for a while, and this is the first time I have ventured into this restaurant, and my God, what an enjoyable experience. The Chaofa is absolutely amazing (better than Pio Pio!), and the margaritas are delicious. Whether visiting or living here, you must try this spot. And the servers are super awesome as well!
I've been to the Riko on Sunnyside, loved the food. So when I saw this one, i really wanted to give it an opportunity. Came over for Father's Day. The server politely greeted us, took us to our table, Menu is on an iPad, a lot of choices to read through . The Sunnyside menu still offers more. The venue was a little too loud for a restaurant dinner. Might be helpful if they lowered the music earlier for dinner service before deciding to turn into a club for the late night. So loud that the server was yelling to make sure we heard her and she couldn't hear us, so we had to yell back. It's not convenient for a person dining in, as I'm sure it's not comfortable for the server who has to raise their voice throughout the shift. It was visually appealing, nice art and interior designing. It also had a nice atmosphere. Artists were scheduled to perform but we never got to see them since there was no hour displayed for when they'd be playing, it just said they would be there. We probably came too early. 🤷♂️ Overall our family had a good time. Food was good, small portions and a little pricey but I guess that's the Roosevelt area. Servers were polite and attentive, but host kept distracting them. So they'd forget. It was an overall good experience.
Food: The best Peruvian food. The quality and price are unbeatable. The fried yuca is perfect, very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Chaufa rice was very tasty. Portion: I ordered the lunch of the day and it was quite large. I also ordered fried yuca. Service: The waitresses are excellent and the service is always attentive to any request. Atmosphere: It's always clean and very tidy. At lunchtime, I really like the soft music. But at dinner, the music is sometimes live, and the sound is exaggerated. RECOMMEND
Title: "An Unforgettable Feast of Peruvian Delights!" Review: Last night, I had the opportunity to dine at Riko Peruvian Cuisine, a gem tucked away in Jackson Heights. The establishment exceeded my expectations, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment laced with Inka decorations that heightened the authenticity of the experience. The eatery has a semi-casual vibe, with disco balls hanging from the ceiling that sparkles and twinkle, adding a touch of magic to the ambiance. The space is furnished with large TVs and a fully-stocked bar, which perfectly complements the cuisine and the overall atmosphere. I sampled the 'Pollo Saltado,' a succulent chicken chunk sautéed with red onions and tomatoes over a bed of crisp French fries. The Aguadito Soup, a heartwarming Chicken Giblet Soup, is an excellent accompaniment for the fantastic evening. I had a refreshing Diet Coke, served chilled to perfection to wash it all down. The service was swift, cordial, and attentive - a testament to their dedication to providing a remarkable dining experience. The servers were prompt, polite and took care of every request, embodying the spirit of customer service. Riko's indoor and outdoor seating options allow patrons to choose according to their comfort; I was seated indoors. The music was just right - a pleasant hum in the background that didn't disrupt conversation. Notably, Riko offers a range of mouthwatering Peruvian specialties such as Pollo a La Brasa (Rotisserie Chicken), Ceviches, Jalea, Lomo Saltado, and more. You can also unwind with their famed homemade Sangrias and now Pisco Sour. Overall, Riko Peruvian Cuisine serves a memorable dining experience - with its delicious food, swift service, and inviting atmosphere; I highly recommend this restaurant to any epicures craving an authentic Peruvian gastronomic adventure. I can't wait to return and sample more from their tempting menu. Don't miss out on this culinary treasure in Jackson Heights!
My first luncheon on a snowy day! Fernanda waited on me. Courteous, speedy, attentive and a good server. I had 2 apps and a dessert. Thoroughly enjoyed all! Quite a busy Sunday luncheon it was. Full of energy and great vibe. I enjoyed my Sunday brunch out here. Too loud banging music - I didn’t like at all, but that’s how this place is designed for. And it’s all good. Both servers were nice and attentive. Definitely going back soon. 👍😋‼️🙏
First time there and had ceviche mixto and saltado mixto de carne y pollo, had it with chicha morada. The place is big and spacious, and we chose a spot in the front. The wait wasnt too long for the food. The taste of the food is what you expect from Peruvian food. It was pretty good. The portions are reasonable. I will come back to try more food and update rating. The service was nice and friendly, didnt feel rushed to finish eating.
I'm disappointed going to this place. We had a reservation for four. We placed our order for food and decided to sip two beers while waiting. The bar is less than 6 ft away from our table but we had to wait more than 20 minutes to get the beers. The only reason we got it is because one of us get up and went to the bar. We waited more than 35 minutes to get our food. There was no salad to go along with it. They served two starches, rice and fries on each plate. I don't get the egg on rice thing. Another thing it's a small restaurant but it is extremely loud with the music, over dinner we couldn't chit chat.
Another fake Peruvian restaurant. We ordered 6 dishes, none of them had the authentic flavor. They lacked taste and the proper ingredients. Very disappointing.
Food was horrible! We spent $40 per person for a small amount of food, no season, plates came separate. I got mine and wait for my family’s plate like 10 min or even more! Waitress ? The worst I ever had! Didn’t care about us. Gratuity ? $20? Come on, I wouldn’t have left it a single dollar. I had to ask for the small corn appetizer! She didn’t even put it on the table. She put her finger in my food and she just had cleaned the bathroom with “gloves” that she reused. I regret going there 😩😭, I was going to a Venezuelan place. So sad
Sad to give this place 1 Star… the guy who took our order was really nice and everyone is friendly but I’m sorry to say that the food was horrible. We asked for lomo saltado… meat was hard and it seemed they cut it when it was still frozen the red onion in it was super overcooked it was totally dead and in general food had no flavor, no condiment. I MUST say maybe they are better in “sea food”? I wouldn’t know. I’m sorry to say this but they should change the cook….. I am not a person who leaves food even if I have to take it home. We left with a feeling of unsatisfying and we didn’t feel like spending another $45 in another restaurant so we end up going to a bakery. In a different situation I would not have tipped but like I said … this has nothing to do with the personnel service but with the food itself! Never had a disgusting lomo saltado. Peruvian food is delicious!!. Will go back if they get a better cook
