Food is excellent. Larg cobb salad is more than enough for 2 people. Burgers and sandwiches are all awesome.

I hate sharing things publicly because my favorite places become super packed and I find myself waiting in long lines to be served. I guess it makes me selfish but if you tried this place you’d know why I say this. This place is pure heaven! I have a friend who had been recommending this place for a year but I was hesitant on trusting his pallet! Boy was I wrong for waiting. This place is fannnnntastic!!!! New found love I call it. Especially when the owners are amazing people who hire amazing staff to take care of you. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting these wonderful people and eating their amazing food. Talk about love!!!! The passion Joe has for food reminds me of myself and my son. The techniques are original and so tasty. We almost missed the bacon wrapped meatloaf that was smoked to perfection but they made a special exception for us. Local live band that played was better than the original band and when my kids heard that we had gone without them they threw a fit so we had to go back the next day and eat more food. Mind you we live 70 miles away from this place but I’d be more than happy taking a trip anytime to eat here. Friendly, super clean, good menu, great food. Prices are fair. Definitely recommend if you're in Sutter Creek! We all enjoyed our meals, and I've never enjoyed a salad so much !

We don't normally come out this far but we happened to be in the area and heard good things about this place, our bartender was Dan and he made the whole trip worth it! He was so nice and funny. We asked him a million questions and he had all the answers, he helped us order and Everything was awesome, we will definitely be back!

Nice little restaurant and bar offering a unique selection of delicious food and drinks. Not open for breakfast. Worth the visit. Nestled in historic Sutter Creek with lots of nearby shops to explore. Will definitely be back.

By far this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere, the servers, the ambience, but I especially love how my dreams are made to order and the food is amazing! I ordered the veggie Burger, maze from love and loaded with all this fixings. They don’t skimp! I can’t wait to go home and reheat the leftovers so I can eat it for breakfast.

Big portions, you will not go away hungry. Many components made from scratch. Quality fresh ingredients. Burger is great as are the salads and sandwiches. The meatloaf sandwich special or a must have (share because it's a heart attack). Inspired food. Friendly staff and good beer on tap.

Great place. Seating for you and your pup outside. If you leave hungry, you have a tapeworm. Huge burgers. Great salads. Fantastic fries.

We were in the area with four great friends for the weekend and discovered Cavana's and it was one of the highlights of our trip. It's family owned and the love of this place shows in the menu selection and most importantly the service provided by Sean and Chelsea. The food is excellent and the portions are very large. I had a small Chelsea Cobb Salad and soup (made by Grandma) and I couldn't believe the size of the "small" salad. The clam chowder was one of the best I've had and I've had quite a bit. We loved it so much that we went back the next day with two more friends and they graciously accommodated all 8 of us. We were not disappointed the second day and will definitely come back when in the area. In fact we've told several people about Cavana's so I suspect that some will be taking a day trip to taste the fabulous food and enjoy Sutter Creek, Jackson and Volcano. We'll definitely be back.

Drinks were great, food was even better. Larger than life portions at very resonable prices. Worth the wait (sometimes service is a little slow on busy days) Absolutely love this place.

Stopped here a few weeks ago with my mother. Super nice and cool sever. Forget his name. The FOOD tho wowwwwww amazingly big quantities and good quality. Everything here is HUGE. Burger was bigger than my face. Come hungry!

We waltzed into the joint on a wild Saturday night, with a concert rocking a few doors down. Laughter filled the air, glasses clinked, and the vibe was electric. We dared to dip into the spinach artichoke concoction, and while it's not my jam, my crew devoured it with gusto. I opted for the chicken and fries combo, and let me tell you, those tenders were seasoned to perfection, and the fries were in a league of their own. My better half went for the grilled chicken sandwich, piled high with lettuce and a WHOLE chicken – talk about a feast! With her garlic fries by her side, she could've repelled an army of vampires. The in-laws went for what they thought was a "small" salad, but boy, small in Cavana's language equals MASSIVE. And let's not forget the trippy dipy – a French dip with Tri-tip that was seasoned just right. Despite the hustle and bustle of the night, we were seated, served, and satisfied within 45 minutes. Cheers to good food and good times!

Great atmosphere here in historic Sutter Creek, we came for lunch and had one of our best meals of the year... it was so good we came back for dinner.

Omg, this place is amazing. So good! Their sandwiches are HUGE! Their portions overall are massive, even their appetizers! Try the deep fried artichoke hearts, and the veggie sandwich with walnuts and raisins - you can add turkey for $2!! Their drinks are great too! Bloody Mary posted below...

A group of Motorcycle riders invaded Cavanas with empty bellies. Pleased to say we left waldeling out the door. As always, the food is excellent and portions are very large.

This is the first time I've eaten here. The food was great. The portions, huge and the service was super friendly.

I've been to this place at least 4 times and the food is always very good! The service is also very good. I highly recommend it when traveling to Sutter Creek.

Our burgers were delicious. They have a great selection of items on the menu. This was a solid place to grab food around the area as a lot of food around this area are hit or miss. Service was great and love the rustic atmosphere.

Delicious food for the soul but not for the waistline since many of the options are fried. We especially loved the spicy fried green beans that were a special of the day. Prices were reasonable. Friendly atmosphere and service was excellent despite being short staffed when we were there.

We stopped here for dinner before heading to the haunted forest nearby. The place was packed but we were seated almost right away. My burger was great. Cooked medium rare as requested. Appreciate that they source the beef from the local butcher Swingles. The Old Timer was well prepared. They have a great beer selection that showcases the local Amador Brewing Company. Everyone else's meals were delicious. Enough for a second meal the next day. I'd definitely stop here again the next time we come through the area.

Staff is small but attentive, great to bring your family or date. Portions are very generous, orders are served quickly and more importantly the food tastes great!

My husband and I ordered a BLTA SANDWICH with a side of GARLIC FRIES and it was very tasty, the sandwich was like buttery toasted and the lettuce -although it was shredded- was really fresh as well as the tomatoe and avocado, the bacon was thick but kind of crispy 😋 the Garlic fries were exactly the way we like them crispy and overloaded with garlic 😋 I believe our server's name was Derek and he was very kind and friendly, plus we didn't have to wait too long for our food. There was a good ambiance in this place. ‐‐-------‐‐‐‐-‐‐-‐-‐-‐--‐ My updated review. My husband and I came back to the Cavana's Pub on Thursday, (May the 4th, 2023) and we were very welcomed by Derek -our server again- and he noticed that we were thinking about sitting at the tables that were by the bar area, then immediately he told us that we could sit over there at any of the two tables available; then, a very young, unprofessional and unfriendly girl (wearing a bandana on her head) that was at the reception when we first saw her... came by our table not too happy and telling us that we were at the bar and almost wanting to tell us to sit somewhere else! but we told her kindly, that that's exactly where we wanted to sit and then she walked away (in my humble opinion she shouldn't work there until she is well trained to treat people kindly) anyway, we ordered again a BLTA sandwich and it wasn't like the one I ordered the first time -it was kind of soggy and not as tasty like the first time- I also ordered a cup of French Onion Soup and it was a little too sweet for me, I've been in Paris and because of that fact, I know that it shouldn't be so sweet (it tasted good but not like the traditional French Onion Soup) -our server was very nice as always- and he even read my mind every time I needed something, before I even asked) I only had to suggest Derek not to serve Soup in the cup they gave me, because it was chipped and sharp, so somebody could get hurt like I did (he was thankful for my observation but not too sorry about that)🤔 My husband ordered a crab sandwich and he liked it, his Garlic Fries were tasty but extremely greasy, so the fries that were in the bottom were soggy and were dripping with oil and he couldn't eat the rest of the fries because of that fact 😕

Always a good time w/ friends. A place where we can meet up and have a yummy! FAT! lunch. If pix can have scratch & smell... recommend getting there early...

Really good food and very friendly staff, not too long of a wait. Only gave 4 stars because we sat by the window to the right when you walk in and it was alot of flies on the window that were really annoying. Other than that the place was nice

Great place to stop and eat & drink while you're in Sutter Creek. Craft beer and local wine selection is plentiful. Lot's to choose from on the menu, from burgers, salads and appetizers there's something for everyone. Great small-town feel to this place. Next time you're on a wine tasting tour take the time to stop by.

Really liked my food my sister didn’t like hers as much I recommend it as a first date spot she said yes to a second date 😛

The Food is outstanding. The service is alright. Bartender tends to prefer to hang out with her friends rather than the bar patrons. Food is giant and outstanding and you pay well for it.

I ate here on two consecutive nights. Both times the food was good (I recommend the house made veggie burger - Very Good!). The first night my server was a young blonde who was extremely friendly and attractive. That was a 5 star night. The buffo wings and the Caesar salad were great. The second night however was a disappointment with regards to the service. I was seated by the hostess and the server never came. I was about to leave after people watching for 30 minutes when the Bartender came over, apologized and took my order. She was extremely nice and told me she'd put a rush on my order which she did. I noticed that there were A LOT of flies buzzing around and that was a bit gross but we were in the country.

I would trade the portion size for better flavors. The food is fresh, it just lacks something. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer a full bar.

The food presentation was amazing, but it was definitely lacking in taste. Our large party ordered a variety of burgers, salads, and fish and chips and were totally disappointed with pretty much everything except the fries and the onion rings. Service was also great as was the atmosphere.

I have eaten here before and recommended this place. Honestly had a good meal yesterday however the servers were rude, disrespectful and apparently had an issue with me and my friend. They sat us at a table and happily helped everyone around. I asked if we could have straws for the 3 drinks that were sitting on the table 2 glasses of water and a glass of tea. She came across the room with one straw unwrapped in her bare hand and dropped it on the table and left. When they brought the appetizer we ordered she sat it down and set the 1 plate she brought in front of my friend and shortly thereafter the table next to us had a whole stack of plates on it. She was unfriendly and when the actual server who took the order came to the table she just stood there. She didn't say me I take your order anything she stood there like our very presence was pissing her off. It was such a negative and hateful experience that we actually had to get all the way out of town because we felt so uncomfortable. Thanks for a day ruined. Unfortunately I would love to review the food which was delicious but the attitude of the servers changed that.

We went to have lunch today, Sep 21st 2025, the bartender was a girl, I didn't ask her name, but her service, pours of wine and customer service was LAME. I used to like this place but I'm totally dissapointed. I cancelled my order and left. Not coming back anymore.
