Wow!! This place is fantastic in every aspect. Great decore and vibe! Recently we were waited on by Hannah and she was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Our food was very flavorful and warm. Excellent portion sizes as well, way too much to eat, we had to get “to go” boxes. The owner interacted with us directly several times and even brought us complimentary chocolate. It was very very cool. You can tell he loves what he does and is a very real person. I highly recommend this business.

A true hidden gem here. Located in a strip mall just outside a neighborhood. Our server, Hannah, was awesome. Started dinner off with an incredible escargot. The perfect cook and combination of garlic and shallots in a butter sauce and some chopped up croutons. I went with the lamb chops, an excellent sear on them with that tender pink and juicy interior. The wife rolled with the fettuccine carbonara, house made pasta with Italian bacon, onions, garlic, cream and Parmesan cheese. An insane portion of pasta perfection on a plate. All their entrees come with a monster house made pistachio ravioli. We split a decadent tiramisu that was the perfect way to close out the evening. If you’re close to this place go check it out. ✌️😎

PERFECT date night spot! Loved the cozy, dim lit vibe inside. Our server Matt made fantastic recommendations and we loved every single thing we tried. So amazing to hear that Dwight works right there in the kitchen every day - you can tell he is so proud of his restaurant and puts effort into every dish. Matt recommended the crab cakes and allowed me to add casino sauce to the sea scallop dish. An absolute 12/10. The filet was also cooked to perfection. We will be back for many meals to come!

Fantastic experience. Sat at the bar which is highly recommended. Open kitchen. I had the corner seat. You can see all the food being prepared. I stole a ravioli!! The scallops and crab cakes were excellent apps followed by veal chop and pasta. Great atmosphere, great food, great place.

First time here. Great Food, great service, great time. Thanks to our great waiter, Sean, too. I would get reservations here. A delightful upscale restaurant. (Bananas Foster was awesome)

This place is a hidden gem, service was phenomenal, her name is Diana. She was very detailed, professional, informative and helpful. The bill was around $500 (tip included) which is worth it. The highlight of our experience is the crab cake for appetizer. IT WAS AMAZING!! IT IS A MUST. I had lamb chops as my main and it was perfect too🤍 Def would come back for another special moment.

Excellent service, complimentary wine, beautiful atmosphere. I didn't try all the food, but of the menu I had: The quail, which was absolutely delicious! Wonderful escargot, which came fresh and hot. Crab cake, very flavorful without being overpowering. A complementary ravioli, a little on the sweet side, not my thing personally, though beautifully presented. A slice of key lime cheesecake, that was incredibly creamy. The waitress (Tova!) was very quick to help us, and answer all questions. This restaurant also features a mosaic wall, and numerous art pieces. The music playing is tasteful, and not too loud. Truly a spectacle on all fronts, good job!

Staff was A+ and atmosphere was even better with the array of beautiful flowers. we had the New York Strip and the best crab cakes of our lives. banana foster was drool worthy and chocolate mousse cake was worth fighting a third world over. Kazam!

One of my favorite places to dine in Jacksonville! 🥂 The meal started with fresh baked crusty bread & escargot. The 2nd course was a crisp chopped salad with blue cheese & bacon. Then I devoured the bone in pork chop as my 3rd course. It was one of the best I’ve ever had! Bravo chef. We also enjoyed the scallops casino, veal piccata, & angel hair with scallops. Everything was perfectly prepared & incredibly delicious. Chef finished the meal with a key lime pie 🥂 and even came outside to say goodbye as we left. Bravo chef! Thank you for an incredible dining experience yet again.

Delightful surprise upon entering, with warm ambiance and attentive staff. Tried New York strip and loved it, though also sampled filet mignon. Others enjoyed sea bass, crab cakes, and veal. Sides of pistachio ravioli, green beans, and carrots were seasoned perfectly. Generous portion sizes. Dessert disappointment with thin crème brûlée. Overall, a meal worth revisiting, especially enjoyed the apple pie and tiramisu, paired with a delightful brut rosé. 🤤✨🙌perfect for a date night .

Thank you Dwight for helping us celebrate 26 years of marriage at the restaurant we've been coming to since we met. Dwights is #1 for food, service and atmosphere. Gods peace and love to you and your staff for all your years of hard work and service to the community

I can't say enough about this place and the people who work here. I found Dwight's by accident after getting donuts next door and I am so happy I did. Dwight is amazing and the food equally amazing. He takes the time to talk to you and really get to know you. He puts his heart and soul into his food and it shows. I have literally tried everything on the menu and it is all fantastic. Don't shy away at the price, I promise it's worth it. They always have a good bottle of wine that is reasonably priced, too.

A must try, and try again! Very good food! My Sea Bass had a crusty/crunchy skin and flaky white inside. Also had the crab cakes, excellent! I eat a lot of chicken, but seafood is my preferred choice. This chef has it done to a science. Well done Dwight!

My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner. Amazing food and even better service. The caesar salad was phenomenal, as well as the veal piccata. Brian and Leah were both excellent, can’t wait to come back!

Dinner was delightful! Romantic atmosphere, attentive staff, cozy setting. We had their escargot, crab cakes, and we split a filet ( there is a $12 split fee for extra veggies and ravioli). The escargot tasty in garlic butter. The crab cakes scrumptious loaded with crab. The tender, juicy filet cooked to perfection with a balsamic glaze. Served with unique, fresh veggies: Asparagus, roasted corn and glazed carrots.

Dwights is great! Service was excellent, atmosphere was classic and the food was delicious! Hand made pasta is best. The lamb, crab cakes and the duck... oh the tender crispy duck!! We're definitely going back. No matter the menu, the chef will make or combine anything they have just the way you ask. True dining over just eating out.

The crab cakes are the best I have ever had. All of the food is prepared to perfection. It's a small little gem and the owner is always there cooking. Super friendly staff. I come to Jacksonville just to eat here.

Food was absolutely delicious. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long long time. We had crab cakes for an appetizer. I highly recommend them. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and a creaminess inside. I had the ravioli for dinner and my date had the carbonara. Both were amazing but I have to say the ravioli was the real hero.

Incredible meal and wonderful atmosphere. Everything was spot on. Service was exceptional, as was the food. Our server even praised the owner and I over heard another server doing the same. You could feel the pride all the staff had working in the restaurant, and you could taste perfection coming from the kitchen in every bite. I honestly can say, this is one of the BEST meals we’ve had in a long time. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary, and received a complimentary champagne toast and cute little beverage napkins, that made it feel so special. I would not hesitate booking any special celebration or having an intimate evening here! This place is the perfect place for any occasion! Also, the teamwork and attentiveness the staff had collectively, was outstanding. We didn’t need anything. Every possible need our table had was addressed before we had to ask. How refreshing!

Wow just wow! This place was amazing! My boyfriend took me for my birthday and they made it so special. Our server Hannah was the best server I’ve ever had she was funny, thoughtful, and really went the extra mile. The food was INSANELY GOOD. I got the duck and the mushroom fettuccine with the filet and it was amazing. Definitely give them a try and tip your girl Hannah if you’re blessed with her as your server.

Awesome date night or special occasion dinner spot. Reservations are a necessity!!! The crab cakes are true Maryland style, lots of lump crab, not much filler. The bread is a must...so good. Service is impeccable! And we loved the atmosphere!

My wife and I experienced an incredible meal here for our 22nd Anniversary. We spent a few nights away from Charleston, SC in Jacksonville and this dinner was the highlight! Top notch service, ambience, and food. This restaurant would be a standout and staple in any city. Couldn’t recommend enough. Cheers to you and your team!

Dwight's is a magical little place in the beaches area. The server we had was fantastic and extremely personable. I went for my Fiance's birthday celebration and they knocked it out of the park. From the ambiance to the food to the service, I cannot wait to make this place a staple in our lives and to try the rest of the menu!

There’s something special about Dwight’s Bistro. It’s the kind of place where the details speak for themselves—where you can feel that every dish, every decision, has been refined through years of experience and thoughtful intention. I’ve lived in downtown Jax for the past decade or so, and for years my fiancée and I considered Buchner’s Bierhalle and Orsay our go-to spots. But since moving to the beach, we’ve been searching for a new favorite—somewhere consistent, with great food and wine, and genuine hospitality. Dwight’s might be that place. We started with the crab cakes and a bottle of Cab Franc. The crab cakes were rich, delicate, and clearly made with quality ingredients—definitely lived up to the hype. My fiancée had the puttanesca—salty, briny, bold in all the right ways. I ordered the carbonara, which was perfectly balanced: creamy without being heavy, simple but clearly thoughtful. Both dishes were made with hand-made pasta. Everything we ate and drank was excellent, but what stood out most was the feeling of the place. Dwight’s has that rare kind of charm—old-school, unfussy, no frills—but deeply intentional. You can tell this is a place where the chef, and the rest of the staff, have been doing things the right way for a long time. The space is cozy, the service is gracious, and the whole experience feels like you’ve stumbled into something truly unique. It’s a gem. We’re already looking forward to coming back. This might be our new spot. Highly recommended.

Dwight’s is, hands down, one of the very best restaurants in the Jacksonville area. Perfectly cooked food coupled with impeccable service. For first timers, the location looks a little iffy. Don’t let that put you off. Once you walk through the door you’re in an awesome restaurant. Wide variety and everything is cooked perfectly. Can’t recommend it highly enough enough.

An absolute gem of Jacksonville. Fantastic food served in a lively atmosphere. The outside looks inconspicuous, but rest assured the inside provides a nice, upscale experience. The service was excellent and the food is five stars.

Always awesome. Delicious escargot followed by big ole scallops with bacon, shallots and cooked perfectly. Ricotta/pistachio stuffed ravioli (side) prompted us to order some uncooked ravioli and sauce for take home. Not a fan, but my lady assured me the asparagus side was really good. Great experience, good service, excellent food and value!

My friends and I had an amazing experience at Dwight's last night! Everyone was so welcoming, kind, attentive, and we felt right at home. Our server was Katie and she was so wonderful, we will definitely be asking for her again. The food was 10/10 stars, everyone was so happy with their meals. Thank you for making my birthday celebration so special!

We had our office Christmas dinner there tonight. The food was delicious!! Bread was good and served nice and warm. The crab cakes were amazing. The fillet mignon was cooked perfectly and you coulda cut the steak with a spoon it was so tender. The vegetables were seasoned great. We had one of every desert and they were all to die for especially the chocolate cake and the expresso ice cream! Our waitress was really sweet! It was pretty loud in there though you kinda had to yell to talk to your party but other than that it was super good.

Excellent restaurant and service. My wife and I shared the burrata appetizer and it was a great start to our dinner. She ordered the crab cakes and I had the sea bass for our entree. Our waiter, John (who provided great suggestions and service), highlighted each as “signature dishes” and he was spot-on. The crab cakes were almost entirely crab meat with minimal breading. The house-made sauce was a tasty compliment. The sea bass was equally delicious. We concluded our meal by sharing the crème brûlée dessert- fresh and the perfect end to a memorable meal. Highly recommended- we’ll be back.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a lovely dinner. We were seated right away upon arrival which set a great tone for the evening. They started us off with some fresh bread which was absolutely wonderful especially with the olive oil vinaigrette. We enjoyed it so much we had to ask for seconds. To start, we shared the seared yellowfin tuna appetizer. It was fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I went with the roasted crispy duck. It lived up to its name, perfectly crispy and delicious. The gravy sauce it came with was a bit on the sweeter side than we’re used to. We tend to prefer an Asian-style gravy when it comes to duck. My wife had the puttanesca, which she really enjoyed. I gave it a try, but it wasn’t quite my thing. I usually like my pasta with some kind of protein. For dessert, they surprised her with a complimentary tiramisu birthday treat which was a nice touch. We also ordered a single cup of cappuccino to share just enough to enjoy without staying up too late. Service throughout the night was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of.

Scallops were outstanding. Bread was great. Butter was wonderful. Taylor and Ava were awesome. Great service. Food comes out so fast. Escargot was 10 out of 10. Never had it like that. 9 pieces of escargot. Usually they give you 6. Wine was excellent. Great wine selection. Homemade pasta was fresh.

Celebrated my birthday here. Located beside Cinnotis, the place looks small outside but surprisingly can accommodate more people. There are more than enough parking spaces for the customers. For starters, we tried the Seared Yellowfin Tuna, which was beautifully prepared but a little on the salty side due to the sauce. For our mains, my husband went with the Crispy Duck, which was indeed crispy and flavorful, though the sauce was a tad too sweet for our liking. I opted for the Puttanesca pasta, substituting angel hair with pappardelle. It was a great choice, rich in flavor, with a generous portion of pasta that I thoroughly enjoyed. To cap off the meal, I was offered a complimentary dessert and chose the Tiramisu. It was divine! Light, creamy, and not too sweet, making for an excellent end to the evening. We paired it with a cappuccino, which was the perfect complement to the dessert. Overall, this restaurant offers a cozy yet spacious setting with great service and a menu that caters to various tastes. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a nice meal out, it's definitely worth a visit.

So glad to finally get to try Dwight's Bistro. It was delicious and now we see why so many people sing their praises. Also, great to know a local talented chef in Evan Geske has joined the team and is helping turn out delicious food there. The awesome: *Crab Cakes! Probably the best I've ever had in my life. Also, the sea bass entree was divine. I haven't tried their pastas yet. The service was amazing too. Great family atmosphere, great wine selection and honorable mention for tasty pre-meal bread offerings. Room for improvement: the escargot wasn't our style. It was swimming in butter with croutons which sucked up all that butter, yet there was still plenty for the escargot to drown in. We like it better at Espana in Fernandina or at Orsay. The ravioli that came with my sea bass was just okay, not as big of a pistachio fan. The atmosphere inside is quaint and homey, love that, but the ventilation isn't up to par to take all the grill smoke out of the restaurant and we found our eyes burning after only a short time. I took a lemoncello cheesecake home, and it wasn't something I would want again, felt like something purchased from a local bakery that may have hung out in a fridge for a while. And lastly, we realize not every restaurant can have a full liquor license, and the focus for this type of restaurant is a great wine selection (which they do have), but only a few bottled beers otherwise is really limiting, no local beers that I recall. Would love to see a few local beers on draft. The food and the service will bring me back to try more on the menu, plus I love to eat when Evan is cooking. Highly recommend you give them a try.

Went here for our anniversary. We have been here before so thought we’d try it again. Seated right away, bet felt rushed. Asking for entre orders when we hadn’t even received wine yet. Entre arrived immediately after salad was retrieved, and I stated that we were in no hurry. Other than that, server was very attentive and food was fine. Veal was a little salty, but tons of crab in the crab cakes . Bread is awesome!

R
Reshana

Our waitress was wonderful, patient and friendly for first timers. We were there as a group and approximately 4-5 people ordered the sea bass only to find out there was no more. Almost everyone ordered pasta with their choice of meat added and no one was impressed. A few mentioned that the Alfredo sauce was thin or watery. None would return.

H
Heather Hatfield

Heavily dressed salads and overly creamy and buttery fettuccine was not desirable and left us with upset stomachs. Was expecting more of an egg based sauce for the carbonara dish. Unusual that the filet we added to a ravioli dish came chopped up in bite sized pieces as if for a child.

D
David Bacon

Harmony was excellent......but that was the highlight of the night. Foie Gras...bland and absolutely the worse I've had. My wife's seabass had such a hard sear, I thought the fish was fried. It wasn't it was just overcooked and lacked flavor.. My duck was good but not great. We both heard so many great compliments of this restaurant. We will simply call it a one and done. Not impressed.
