Holy Smoke BBQ best in the city Shae and Lea were absolutely amazing, food, service and atmosphere are phenomenal!! Definitely gives you a backyard BBQ family vibe… ohh and the sweet tea is everything!!! Make you wanna slap ya momma!!

The ribs here are hands-down the best in Jacksonville — perfectly smoked, fall-off-the-bone tender, and bursting with flavor in every bite. You can tell they take real pride in their craft because the seasoning and smoke balance are spot on. The staff and owner make the experience even better. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. It’s that kind of Southern hospitality that makes you want to come back again and again. If you’re a true barbecue lover, don’t even think twice — Holy Smoke Barbecue is a must-try!

Coming from North Georgia this is the best authentic BBQ I've had in a long time. Mac n cheese was on point and like a casserole, green beans seasoned to perfection and the collards tasted like my Mama's. The combination of the gold and red sauce set the meat off and I couldn't of asked for anything better. The smell of the restaurant drew me there unintentionally and I'm going to come back at least once a week after moving to the area and finding my new home restaurant.

The deep smoke flavor was so unique and so flavorful!!! Brisket was juicy and tender. This is a hidden gem for Jacksonville. A MUST try and a MUST destination to try again!!!

Stopped by this evening to grab some dinner and Toya helped us! She was helpful and polite. They were out of ribs and rib tips also baked potatoes so we ordered the brisket sandwich meal. I had the potato salad and my husband has the green beans. It was very good! Definitely recommend trying them out

I stopped in for the first time today. I had an absolutely fantastic brisket sandwich with mac and cheese. The brisket was super tender and flavorful and the mac and cheese was well seasoned and tasty. The sweet tea was pleasantly sweetened. The people working there are very nice and make sure you are all taken care of. I can tell they enjoy making BBQ.

Excellent BBQ! We had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches with Mac and cheese. All were delicious and Shay and Monica were both very sweet. Their music choices are also awesome! SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS AND ENJOY SOME GREAT FOOD!

I ordered one each of the chopped brisket and sliced brisket sandwich to try them out. One with sweet sauce and the other with the Mustard sauce. Both were amazing sandwiches. The brisket was moist and tender with an excellent bark thickness that was full of flavor. As someone who dabbles in smoking myself I am eager to go back and try more menu items. The service was a little slow for only two sandwiches but it was towards the end of the night so some fresh cuts may have needed to be made. The menus offers plenty of staples such as ribs, chicken and even turkey legs on specific days.

Had loaded baked potato & my husband had loaded fries with brisket. It was so tender & juicy. Shay was wonderful hostess.

Let me start with the food is fantastic, no issues at all there. My brother and I have been wanting to go. But the disappointments: 1. Basic bottled ranch, which was very surprising and sad. 2. Menu prices dont match at register. Was charged $3.10 for a tea that was $2.60 on the board and other items had no price at all until your ring it up (wings being $22 for 12 small wings) 3. No refills while dining in. 4. No curly fries as shown online, just basic crinkle (we chose this BBQ today for the curly fries shown) but I will say the fries were seasoned well. Brisket was fatty and perfect. Mac and cheese to die for. Sauces delicious.

The food is very good, the portions do not match the price and this may cause you to not come back, the sides are awesome!! So I ate here twice the first time I had the rib dinner (5 bones and 2 sides). The ribs were super tender. However, I'm not a mustard person, and they put mustard and bbq sauce on my ribs, which I did not know. It's my fault for not asking. My sides were Mac n cheese and baked beans, absolutely delicious 😋 but, it was like baby sides, like two spoons!! I had iced tea, and they give no refills, not for free! I paid 27.00 not bad at all but I wanted more Mac n cheese...so the second time I ordered 3 ribs and a large Mac n cheese and baked beans, it was way better, about the same price,but I like Mac n cheese! Still no free refills so I left thirsty!! Don't get me wrong, good foods, and nice lady taking orders, just know what you want...someone has challenged me to the brisket sandwich they have...I will let you know, when and if I eat one!!

Wonderful experience here. Had a brisket sandwich meal deal, wing and fries special and rib tips. Meat is smoked perfectly, the fries are HOUSEMADE and deliciously pure, the meat comes sauced and it’s the perfect combo and ration. They have fresh drinks and desserts as well. I will be back.

I ordered the three (3) bone rib sandwich, coleslaw, and a holy punch. The food looked delicious. The ribs were tender but a tad bit salty. The holy punch was so sweet, I literally mixed almost an entire bottle of water into the cup. As black folk, we have to be mindful of our salt and sugar intake. Lawd, I sound like an old person. 😂 The smell going into the restroom is stomach turning. It smells like mold for sure! The restaurant smelled fine but they need to talk to the owner about that restroom area. I’m down to give them another shot. Next time I’ll try the brisket.

Very mediocre in mine and my husbands opinion. Chicken and brisket were dried out. The portions don't match the price. The beans should be in a cup not straight up in the box. Mac n cheese was greasy and looked old. Not enough sauce. The bread soaks up too much of the sauce. Holy Smokes is a one and done for us.

That was not in the description. The price was $17 plus tax. The food was bland and brisket was full of fat. The sides were baked beans and potato salad. The beans tasted like it came straight from a can and the potato salad wasn’t horrible but not good enough to keep eating. Customer service was fine and the vibe of the restaurant wasn’t comfortable. Needless to say very disappointed. I won’t be back.

That was not in the description. The price was $17 plus tax. The food was bland and brisket was full of fat. The sides were baked beans and potato salad. Then tells me I can order something if I would like. Isn’t that what we did on the phone before I drove 30 minutes?
