Such a cute spot! We were on a long drive home from Phoenix and decided to stop here for a late lunch. The vibes are immaculate. It reminds me of Todos Santos/Cerritos Beach. The food and drinks were great, I got the Pazole, my daughter loved her carnival tacos. The service was iffy, our waitress disappeared for quite awhile until someone else came to take over, so not sure what happened, but it was great after that. Highly recommend this spot, I imagine it's going to be very popular soon.

An exquisite dinning experience in the middle of nowhere. From the art on the walls to the perfect music was the setting for a relaxing quiet meal. The server was personable and the abridged menu made selections easy. Their chef prepared our meal to perfection and made the ordinary become the extra odinary. Yumm

We ate at the bar because we arrived at 4 and the restaurant is closed 3-5. However, the bar still has a food menu, and the ambiance was so cool! Staff were very attentive, helpful, and kind. The food was DELICIOUS. We got the lamb meatballs and the burger. We did not have any alcoholic drinks, just water. No complaints about this place and I tend to have complaints about most things. Can’t wait to come back!

We were not expecting this experience at all but everything about this place is amazing.

Kudos to the new best restaurant between San Diego and 5 Points in Tucson. I've been seeing this rehab project pop up on my social and legacy media pages for a while now. I drive between sd and el centro for court once or twice a year and I am so so so glad there is finally someplace worthwhile to eat between the two places (sorry Golden Acord 15 dollar prime rib special). This is a legit, destination level restaurant and they have full bar with bespoke cocktails. My lunch was delicioso as they say just across the border (you can see the border). The larger project which includes a redone hotel has high desert vibes and this restaurant reminded me of La Copine, one of my favorite spots out there. Worth a trip from sd, a must if you are driving the 8 and I would def return for a boozy dinner and overnight stay.

Okay - let me start with the most important: GET THE 🍔 BURGER 🍔!!! I don't know if I will stay at the hotel again, but I might go out of my way to eat that burger and those perfect fries. They have this aioli that is like nothing I've ever tasted. I wish they sold that in a bottle, I would have brought home so many bottles! The beef is perfect, and they make it a point to tell you that all the beef comes from this small ranch. It really was worth the price. The cocktails, as others have mentioned, are also really yummy.

We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant during our stay. We ordered their meze board (hope I said it correctly) and carrots with sauce, and finished off with a profiterole for dessert—it was all delicious. The next morning, we came back for breakfast and tried the Highway 60 (or maybe it was 80?) breakfast plate, along with some fresh guacamole. Everything was really tasty, and the service was amazing—super friendly and attentive. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality and atmosphere.

We weren't sure what to expect since this is the middle of nowhere but we were pleasantly surprised! My friend said it was the best burger he had ever had. No complaints from me and we will definitely be making the trip again as its halfway between San Diego and Yuma.

OUTSTANDING!! In everything ! Everything was delicious- perfect portions—haven't been to a restaurant of this quality in a long time! What a true jewel - so rare to find . Don't be deceived by the front area—once you walk —in it's just wow! From the service, the atmosphere, decor just everything. One of my biggest complaints always in restaurants now days is the scent, there's isn't one!! It's spotless and no scent of harsh chemicals at all. I will be back and often!

All of the servers are spectacular, but Colton went above and beyond. I don't love harissa, but the potatoes were preseasoned with it. Instead of just telling me it was a no on the potatoes, he had them put through the fryer to remove the bulk of the seasoning. Great potatoes! Thank you, Colton!!

My review is about their vegan options. Their menu clearly mentioned vegan options or vegetarian options that can be made vegan and gluten free. It is amazing for in the middle of nowhere where there is no restaurant in general. The owners really thought it through providing options to hotel guests whether they are vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten free. I have tried several dishes and they are all delicious. What we tried were for breakfast: Chia Pudding and fruit, Vegetable Hash with opting hummus(or Justegg), Breakfast Burrito with Justegg and no cheese. Chillaquiles (w Justegg) was available but we didn’t try that. For lunch what we had was vegan Zaatar Bowl(gf) and ordered this 3 times. We didn’t try the starters: Cauliflower Wings, Shishito Peppers, Elote(veganized version) or Mezze Board(veganized version) but we had chips and guacamole. There were also a vegan salad and a dinner entree Berber Tagine(gf) that we didn’t try. We just don’t eat a lot, especially, for dinner. But they are there for you. Desserts were available such as vegan ice cream, Affogato, and granitas which we didn’t try. There are vegan cookies available at check in too and they are delicious! There are several vegan items that are included in Happy Hour food prices from 3-5 pm. Staff really is accommodating. It takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to get to San Diego area where vegan food is available so this is really really nice!

This is hands down our favorite restaurant in California, the chef has perfected the menu to a fusion between middle-eastern and American food. From the in house olives to the perfectly seasoned/cooked ribeye. The food was simply amazing, so was the service as the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and menu. Well done to the owners for hiring a fantastic team and to what they did with the aesthetic design of the place. Cant wait to go again soon!

We judged a book by its cover.....and were wrong! Rode by because it didn't have enough reviews. Then turned around because it looked interesting. Behind the wooden wall was an outstanding dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing niche spot in Jacumba that really feels like finding an oasis in a desert. I ordered the Mezze board and it was to die for, I couldnt get enough of their Babaganoush! Their bar is also very interesting and has a deep cool feeling you really can’t replicate! I recommend ordering the Frescarita! You have to visit this place and check it out for yourself

This hidden gem has amazing desert like vibe. Literally at the end of USA... last restaurant before border. Unique menu. Bit more expensive.

We ate at the restaurant and bar 5-6 times during our two night stay. Unfortunately, while the atmosphere is gorgeous, the food and service were inconsistent. Things we enjoyed: Ceviche - nice Salsa - epic Corn pancakes - delicious Acorn Squash soup - good Guacamole - nice Fries - hit the spot Za’atar bowl - didn’t taste like Za’atar but was satisfying Beef tartare - well balanced Things we didn’t enjoy: The Christmas Eve dinner was overpriced considering the quality of the food. The pear salad had one tiny sliver of pear; we mentioned this and they kindly brought us another whole salad — thank you! The second one was better but included greens that had gone bad. The endive cups sounded nice but were not flavorful. The leek potato soup was hearty but average. The steak and potatoes were okay — nothing special. The biggest concern was the mushroom risotto. The whole meal was undercooked, including the rice, asparagus, and giant mushroom. The mushroom was actually raw. And the base of rice was more like flavored rice than risotto. Risotto is rich and creamy. This was not. We requested it be sent back and it was better when it came back actually cooked. The desserts were also undercooked and tasted like boxed mixes. The next night we tried the Tagine, and it was a similar experience. A bunch of beans thrown together with rice and undercooked potatoes, raw tomatoes, and crunchy broccoli with some Berber seasoning added that did not come together at all. Tagine is a rich, flavorful dish, typically with the veggies cooked together into a thick texture with raisins, olives, and nuts. This rendition was so disappointing we sent it back. The manager kindly didn’t charge us for it. The Long Shadow has promise but struggled with consistency, at least during holidays. Perhaps they didn’t have their usual staff available. We also heard their mid-week delivery didn’t arrive given the holiday. Hopefully things are better and more consistent on other days.

This hotel is really cute with good vibes. The staff were friendly but the food was so sub par I got pancakes which were overdone and were laden with oil and a rubbery egg. I had to ask for salt and maple syrup. Their coffee was acidic and burnt tasting. For the price this was definitely not worth it but they have you stuck there so you have to eat the food if you are a guest because there is basically no where else to go. Disappointing.

They need better staffing. The wait for a menu, then drinks, then food, was just really long. We seated ourselves per request of the only waiter on staff. Flies were out and about, the little fan they have can only do so much. Food was great. Again, just way too long of a waiting time for things. Could tell a few other guests were agitated as well.
