My evening dinner at the Meadows Restaurant was absolutely amazing with such a beautiful atmosphere. The service was excellent and my steak was cooked to perfection.
We went in on a Monday from another neighboring hotel. The restaurant was closed, but the hotel bar was open and served the full menu thankfully. The chicken fried chicken was some of the best I've had. The shrimp pasta was very rich and tasty. No complaints, all compliments!
This was our first time at this place and it was fantastic! We were at the resort for a convention and found out they did a seafood buffet on Friday night when we got in to town. We are from Charleston, South Carolina. We also visit myrtle beach a couple of times of year for the seafood buffets. So we aren't newbies when it comes to seafood. The crab legs at this buffet may have been right up there with some of the best I've had. They actually had flavor. The jumbo peel and eat shrimp were seasoned well and they actually deveined them. Everything else on the buffet was great. I didn't eat it all but what I did have was good. The service was excellent! They were very accommodating to the point of I noticed they didn't have a gluten free dessert option. I hesitated to ask but figured why not. The chef himself told me he'd have something for me and brought out the most delicious gluten free chocolate torte. He made sure to tell me he was putting more on the buffet. Not that I needed more but that was so sweet of him! Overall we will most likely be back if we come back to the same convention again.
This restaurant is classy and beautiful. The service is excellent and food is tasty and well presented. There are a lot of tables and views of the golf course are easy to see. I have had quarterly lunch meetings here for over 10 years and I still look forward to eating here. While the lunch menu is only one page, there is a wide variety of choices. I have had the Reuben Sandwich and I recommend it. The burgers 🍔 are huge, the tilapia fish 🐠 sandwich, the quesadillas are all delicious. Sometimes they have a buffet, and that is always a good choice. My favorite dessert is the bread pudding 🍞 🍮. If that is something you like, give it a try.
Me and my husband had valentines dinner at the meadows wow we both had there chicken fried chicken and it was great i highly recommend this place and will be back
The staff are what makes this place an awesome experience, the Crab legs where great, Kara B was the best waitress ive seen in forever, very attentive, fun an upbeat. Defiantly will be back soon... Thx Kara.
AYCE crab legs and the seafood buffet is back! Everything was wonderful as usual! They picked back up where they left off and I definitely got my fill!
The Friday night seafood buffet is amazing. All you can eat crab, shrimp and prime rib. They don't always have the oysters on the half shell but when they do they are awesome. They are usually from Virginia.
While staying at the Meadowview Conference Resort & Convention Center I decided to try the hotel restaurant for lunch one day. While it was perhaps a bit more expensive than a similar meal at another restaurant, it was convenient and cheaper than having a similar meal delivered. I had a cheeseburger and fries, which were both really good. Service was great. However, it did take much longer than expected to receive my food, especially considering there were only a couple of other tables with customers. I wasn't in a hurry, though, so it wasn't a big deal. When the restaurant really started to shine was when I ordered dessert. I had the chocolate lava cake with ice cream. It was amazing. The cake had a wonderful flavor, without being too sweet. By serving the ice cream in a side dish they avoided the problem of the cake melting it and creating a runny mess in the plate. The serving size was perfect as well.
Very happy with the food and service was friendly. Food cooked to perfection for me, the fried shrimp was over cooked and hard to my husband. I personally like it crunchy. The first real key lime pie I have seen here, usually your serves a green lime pie. We enjoyed the variety.
Unlike the ding dong below me, we absolutely loved this buffet!!! Crab legs were amazing! Prime rib was delicious. The rest of the bar was great an everyone was so nice. Loved it!!!!!
We had Thanksgiving lunch with 6 other family and friends. I was surprised as buffet and desserts were very good. Steady stream of folks to buffet but no lines. I will use Marriott Meadows Resturant again.
The Sunday Brunch is awesome! The cook does a great job with the menu and variety. I had prime rib and it was seasoned perfectly. The price may seem high but when you realize how much there is to choose from you see that it's quite reasonable.
Seven of us had Mother’s Day Brunch today! The food was wonderful, and the service was exceptional.
Great Food!! Need some deep fried fish. Great Oysters, Great Shrimp, Great Crab Legs, Great Prime Rib. Loved it. Don't care what it costs!! Will be back !!
The staff really knew the menu and went above and beyond to take care of our table. The food was on point and came out fairly quickly.
One of the best restaurants in Kingsport. It’s menu has been scaled back due to COVID, but it is still serving delicious meals for a variety of tastes. The service is friendly and quality high. The shrimp and grits, short ribs, salmon, and garlic romano wings are my favorite dishes. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like though. Check it out to get a fabulous meal without the long waits.
The food is amazing everytime we come here. It became a regular stop for the family when we travel this way. The staff (like Natalya sorry if I spelled that wrong...) were very welcoming and helpful. We had a good meal that was widely enjoyed by all of us. Thank you! ❤️
Exceptional Accommodating Peaceful Scenic Warm and cozy, these are a few words to describe everything about this Marriott property. From the Guest Relations at the front desk, The sweet Valet guy, the wonderful Mary (Restaurant Supervisor), My room was a delightful tranquil experience, I had a beautiful view of the grounds and surrounding fall trees, my bed was a "tempurpedic dream" , I slept like a 1 day old newborn (smile) the ambience of the room was so inviting comfy I never left it until check out! The breakfast was delish, and so healthy, the best cantaloupe and sweet pineapple I ever ate, the chef does an amazing omelet ! I have been to many Marriott properties all over the world truly, this is the best one thus far however I am a bit biased being from Tennessee, still its nice to know "this heavenly place" exist so close to me, I look forward to staying there again very soon! 10 stars out of 10 stars !!!!! Kimberley H. :)
If you love crab legs. Check out there seafood buffet every Friday night. Featuring all the crab legs you can eat, different kinds of fish, shrimp, vegetables, different types of bread, salad bar, and any dessert you could think of. Bon appetit!
A great restaurant. Excellent food and service.
the bartender that was serving me was fantastic and very knowledgeable I know one is for certain that you guys DONT PAY HER ENTIRELY ENOUGH!!!! one of the best experiences I've had at this establishment!!! Marilyn is the STAR ROLE of this fine establishment!
The food was delicious! The service was excellent!. The atmosphere was great. Real enjoyed dining here . Will definitely be back.
Absolutely delicious and more food than I could eat in one setting
Everything was great, especially the crab legs
The cheesy potato soup and buffalo wings were amazing but the hamburger was not as good as I expected it to be. The sourdough bun was hard and greasy...not my favorite. Ended up eating the patty plain without the bun! However, the Friday night crab leg buffet is absolutely amazing!! I lived by the Chesapeake Bay most of my life and these crab legs rate right up there with them!
Friday seafood buffet. If you like crab legs they are good, hot and juicy. Oysters, eat and peel shrimp and of course the prime rib are good but the other entrees not so much. Overall worth the visit if you love crab legs. About the only place to get them all you can eat.
The Friday night seafood buffet has gone downhill while the price has increased to $38. No scampi station or Calamari. The only real seafood items are now the crab legs, which were salty and cold (almost like they were pre steamed, refrigerated, and reheated), and cold Cajun peel and eat shrimp. Prebreaded deep fried popcorn shrimp is the last option. The buffet now has a carving station instead, and I wouldn’t call the steak a prime cut since the fat was extremely gristly. The side items were great and the service was awesome. These two things are all that provide the 3 stars on my review. At this price point, I’ll go to RiverFront or Chop House in the future for a higher quality meal.
Seafood needed more spice. Some things were warm, some hot and some kinda cold. Steak had no flavor. We were disappointed.
Just left the restaurant 5-12-2024 @ 1 30 first off the food was very good! Butthe service for the price one had to pay was very poor!! We wasn't ever offered a refill on our beverages never received lemons and ice for the tea! But the worst part is requested the check and took over 30 minutes to receive they added a automatic 18% service charge to the check for 2 people!! Very poor management for taking a total of 45min to ask for, received check out! This was a buffet so no work for the waiter except check on drinks!!! SMH!!!!
My wife ordered the Ceasars salad and got a house... I ordered the steak and lobster and asked for no onions sauce on the steak because I'm allergic to onions.... the waitress went back and told the chef.... needless to say, I got the onion sauce.... They took it back. By the time I got the replacement my wife was finished with hers.... the brought it out without it but instead of well done it was medium rare..... I guess it was just a off night but the desserts was AMAZING
Short staffed because of an event, but our host was gracious. The steak was bland and slightly over-cooked. The maple bourbon salmon was also bland. No salads to start. No bread. Nothing. Kinda surprised to be honest. Doubtful we'd come back.
We went for the Seafood Buffet. We were disappointed with the buffet. They had a great mix of offerings. However the crab legs were dry (almost jerky dry), clams were overcooked. Oysters were delicious and the other offerings were decent. I understand every place has an off evening. Will give this buffet another try to see if there is a different outcome.
At $60 a plate this place is double what it should be for the quality of the food. Nothing special, average at best, should be $30 a plate. Way overpriced, save your money.
Went for the Crab legs for my birthday. They were not fresh. Very Cold. The staff put them in a microwave and it was awful rubbery. The prime rib was ok I was so excited to go to the meadow view. Had heard great thing. So disappointed. Staff was great (Jacklyn ). Won't be back.
We went tonight, and when we got in it was about half full. We opted for the menu (on Fridays they do the seafood buffet). If you come on a Friday, do the buffet. Because we waited SO long for our food. Our poor waitress seemed VERY overwhelmed. I am not mad at her, I'm sad for her. I asked for refills we never got, had to ask the manager for our check, and still waited 20 or so more minutes to get it, only after I asked our waitress one last time. The food was good, but my husband's was luke warm, when he got it. Not cold, just not hot. They were VERY focused on keeping the buffet stocked. Less focused on the regular menu ppl. We are here for 3 nights and won't be eating there again.
Well this was our first time here and our last .. greeter at the front said we was in for a treat .. definitely nothing worth paying $20 a person for that's for sure ... Biscuits were dark brown and hard , gravy was tasteless, ham I couldn't even chew it .. you would think this place has gourmet food from the looks of it and by getting your diet soda in a whine glass but no way .. even the desserts were from boxes and stale!! Don't plan on going back !
Meadows Restaurant took my reservations for Mother’s Day Brunch at 12:30 today. This was several weeks ago & I was told the hours were 11:00 until 2:00. The menu wasn’t ready at the time. I didn’t hear from anyone & when I called I got a recording. The main # said there was a brunch scheduled but the restaurant didn’t answer them either. My family has celebrated many holidays at Meadow View & it is not good business to leave people hanging. We did find a great restaurant for the six of us, & enjoyed Mother’s Day.
We got in line at 730pm, at 8pm they told us that we could order off the menu but not the seafood buffet.
We just ate, on Mother’s Day. We have eaten the Sunday brunch several times before and really enjoyed. Today was bad. First off, $44 per person! There was no omelet station, no waffle station and no carving station. One vegetable (green beans), no potatoes. Two fish dishes, pre cut roast and sliced pork. The salad station barely had any greens with little items to add. 3 desserts. Service was ok but saw waitress carrying 5 glasses of beverages to a table with in tucked between her arm and breast. Unbelievable. Will not got back again
Food was cold everything was tested plan way to expensive for what they had 60$ for a person payed almost 300$ for below average food
Lol this is a joke. Our waitress was awful. She told us how the ceiling was leaking and the bar had been moved away and all these horrible things about the hotel. Because we had a party more than 8 we got charged an 18% gratuity and they taxed that so she got a $50 tip on four people and did absolutely nothing. There were times I was thirsty my drink never had ice. I guess she knew she was getting the tip bc she didn’t give us any service and made it clear when she passed the checks out that there was a 18% gratuity and after she took our payment even though we weren’t don’t eating she never returned. We won’t ever go back. I understand the tipping but to charge tax on it was a joke. I’m actually so mad I’ve considered contacting an attorney. To debate my bill. It was really that bad. Don’t tell people how the hotel is falling apart as they eat. Regardless of your pay it was my grandmothers 90th birthday and her exact words were “don’t even ask us to sing because we wouldn’t ever do that...when I got hired I asked if I would have to sing because I refuse to and he said I absolutely wouldn’t ever have to so you would not ever catch and employee singing to anyone” I just thought to myself like are you serious right now. It was bad bad .
Arrived walk in from their parking lot which is a long ways not friendly for older people to be told they close in 15 minutes and would not seat us. So I guess their closing times are 30 minutes before their closing times.
We have been to the Friday seafood buffet several times and unfortunately this time will be our last. They seated us at a two person table and when we asked if they could seat us at a different table they said no even though they had several other couples at four person tables. They had taken away the roast beef from the buffet. The sides were barely warm and the dessert bar was completely changed and none of it looked appealing. The crab legs even smaller than usual. I was so disappointed for the price that we paid.
Flat out horrible experience… wife took me there for Father’s Day brunch and unfortunately I would say one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant all the way from service to quality of food. You need a trained executive chef to take over and turn the place around. You could have something very special there but serving what you are serving, it will stay empty…..
We booked the “Breakfast with Santa” event in advance and pre-paid (including tip). Apparently this place told the world about this event but didn’t tell their staff, who were ill-prepared for the large numbers of people. Not enough food was out and the omlet and pancake lines bum rushed the cooks, who were working their tails off to try and keep up. Santa himself was good and the kids enjoyed the visit and crafts, but this was absolutely unacceptable from a managerial perspective. I’m disappointed in it, which is fine. I’ve been disappointed at a restaurant before (and probably will be, again). But it was absolutely not fair to the staff to not let them know in advance that this event was happening so they could prepare. You owe them an apology more than you owe me one.
Made reservations for Sunday at 11 o'clock. We are out of town. They called at 945 and said they close at 11 to 11:39. They said all the breakfast bar will be still there. Well, it wasn't you think on Father's Day? They would be packed, and hardly anybody was there. I guess people have figured them out
Ordered a cheeseburger and paid extra to be delivered to my room. After an hour and a half I went to the restaurant since no one would answer the phone. Said it was delivered, but never had a knock on the door and didn’t get any food. Then had to wait for food to cook and didn’t offer a refund. Awful service. $23 for a cheeseburger I had to wait 2 hours to eat.
This was my first time eating here. My husband loves crab legs. I do not eat seafood, when seated we were not given a menu , just told to go to the bar. I later found out after hearing a different waitress tell another table they could order off a menu. There wasn't much I could eat on the bar, so I settled for mashed potatoes and a piece of prime rib. I had water to drink and my husband had Pepsi. Imagine my shock at the 123.74 check. He enjoyed the crab legs even though they were cold. Will not be back again. Service was not good the waitresscould have cared less . Better service and steak at Texas roadhouse for half the price.
The absolute worst seafood buffet I have ever eaten. It is definitely not what it was a few years ago before they stopped during Covid. The scallops were so tiny, over cooked and over seasoned with old bay they made my nose run. The shrimp were the same. The hush puppies were so hard they were crunchy all the way through. The salmon was cold. Even the desserts had no taste like they came from a box in the grocers freezer. And for $60 per person!! We were shocked and very disappointed. The only decent thing was the peel and eat shrimp. Coming from someone that is not a picky eater …trust me when I say…it is horrible!!
